When I come to I'm laying on my new bed with the Cullen family staring at me. "What happened Lily? Jasper said when you looked at him your eyes glossed over and you started shaking before you passed out." Carlisle asked. "I-I saw something." I look away once I see questioning gazes directed towards me. "What did you see Lily?" I'm brought back to the images I saw before passing out and Edward let out a small gasp. "She had visions Carlisle, the same ones Alice had when she first started school here." "H-How do you know that?" I ask starting to shake slightly. "Some vampires have special powers, Lily." Edward paused and gave me a smile before continuing. "I can read minds, Alice can see the future, and Jasper can not only feel everyone's emotions but manipulate them as well."
"But, I'm not a vampire why am I seeing things? And how do you know they were visions of the future?" I look up and see Jasper staring at me. "Well, I was told about these visions that Alice had, and if you had the same one's I should probably explain what they mean before I explain how it could probably happen." Jasper paused and looked away. "We are mates Lily, vampires have I guess what you would call soul-mates. And you're mine, I knew the moment I looked at you what you were and that is why I was so angry when we first met, I was angry that a human was my mate, but after hearing your confession in Carlisle's office and now this happening with you I have high hopes for our future." I sit up in bed.
"So you're saying that with barely knowing me you're in love with me basically? That makes no sense." I look down to my hands in my lap. "Well what did you feel during your visions?" I contemplated his questions for a minute. "Happy." I let a small smile on my lips. "Exactly, even though you are human you still feel a miniscule amount of the mate bond." Jasper turned to look at me again and smiled. "But why am I having visions?" Alice steps up to talk to me. "Well, I don't remember much of my past life but what I have found out is that I was placed in a mental asylum for having 'visions', my guess is that people who can see the future normally have the gift before being turned, it's just enhanced after the change." Alice gives me a sympathetic look.
"So this would happen more when I turn?" I look to Alice. "More than likely." "Oh, ok, that actually sounds really cool" I smile. "Come on kids, let's let Jasper and Lily talk about everything that has been revealed. After everyone left I look at Jasper. "Is it ok if I sit next to you?" Jasper asks. I nod my head and he gets up and sits next to me after I scoot over. "Honestly, I've never believed in love at first sight, how can you be so sure of this?" I ask. Jasper takes my hand and intertwines our fingers. "It's just vampire instincts, it happens with all of us once we look at our destined mate." I mull things over. "I guess it makes sense, I do have some feelings for you, but honestly I don't know what love feels like. My mother was too drugged up to show me any love, and well you know how my father is." Jasper nods his head for me to continue. "But maybe that feeling I have is love, or something that can grow into it, hell I'm not going to lie, you are extremely attractive." Jasper chuckles "I know, I can feel it every time I touch you, your feelings are what I can only imagine is butterflies in your stomach."
I smirk at his response, "But Carlisle won't change me, and Edward says I'd be damned." Jasper chuckles again. "Do you even know how we change?" I shake my head. "When a vampire bites a human a venom is released, if that venom is left in the humans system and doesn't die, humans change into one of us, but it's excruciating. It takes three days and your body feels like it's pure fire, the pain is so bad you can do nothing but scream and wraith around on the floor, are you sure that you are ready for something like that? Especially with what you've recently been through?" I sit and think about that statement for a while.
