Kenny wakes up. Thinking that Ace was taken by a Mew was a dream.
Kenny: - Oh god. Ace!
Kenny looks at a picture of him and Ace on his nightstand.
Kenny: - Wow, that was one crazy dream.
Kenny takes his phone and checks the messages in the football group chat.
Kenny: - Maybe that wasn't a dream considering how many messages are in this group chat.
Kenny goes through the messages and sees how the team sees him as Ace's best friend.
Did you guys hear that Ace just vanished yesterday after school?
Ya, I did. But how did it happen?
Well, you guys should ask Kenny about that.
Kenny? Why him?
What did Kenny do?
Well Kenny was the last person to be seen with Ace.
Why would Kenny do that?
My guess is that he was tired of not being the star of the football team
Don't tell me you're thinking Kenny kidnapped Ace?
Well, that shows what kind of friend he was to Ace.
I think we should talk to the coach about taking Kenny off the team for doing this.

Just then Ben messaged
Ben: - You guys need to stop. Kenny is a great player on this team, just like the rest of you. Ace himself was talking about making Kenny vice-captain of the football team. Also, Kenny has been Ace's best friend since they were 5 years old.
Everyone read the message, but no one reply
This made Kenny tear up a little from that message. It did make him feel better from this, then another message popped up, a DM from Mark.
Mark: - Hey Kenny, I've been hearing a lot about Ace disappearing and I want to know what this is about.
Kenny was beginning to dm mark that he knows nothing of it, but before he could hit send, he stopped himself, looking over at the picture of Ace and him hanging out together in his room, he looked at it for a little while before he thought to himself, shaking his head
Kenny: - (Sorry Ace, but I really can't keep this secret to myself any longer)
Kenny then removed the text that he wrote then added in something else instead
Kenny: - Meet me at the park where we used to play with Ace. I'll talk about it more there.
Kenny then turned off his phone and got himself ready to go outside. Putting on his favorite T-Shirt and some shorts before heading outside, but just as he was about to step out the door
?: - Kenny!
Kenny turned around to see who called him, it was his mother, Mrs. Adams, who called for him
Mrs. Adams: - Kenny dear, why haven't you told me anything about Ace and what happened to him? You know how much I worry if you're keeping too many secrets from me.
Kenny: - Sorry Mom, but I really didn't want you to worry. I know I should explain the situation to you, but I'm going to have to deal with Ace's family real soon, just to make sure everything turns out alright.
Mrs. Adams thought about it for a bit, before nodding to her son
Mrs. Adams: - Alright then, but where are you going right now anyway?
Kenny: - I'm heading outside, mom, I need to meet up with Mark, and help out the football team in a little while.
Mrs. Adams: - Alright, stay safe out there dear.
Mrs. Adams came over to give him a kiss on the cheek before he headed out to the park, which took Kenny a solid while to arrive. Mark waited for Kenny at the park like he was told to. He then noticed Kenny arriving and waved him over. Kenny responded by running over to Mark.
Mark: - So tell me, Kenny, what happened to Ace? I have seen how most of the team thinks of you, seeing as you were the last person seen with Ace before he vanished.
Kenny: - (sigh) Don't remind me. But to tell you the truth mark...
Just then Sally was jogging by and stopped when she saw Mark and Kenny.
Sally: - KENNY!
Sally was mad at Kenny for the disappearance of Ace
Kenny: - Oh h-hi Sally. I see you are mad at me.
Sally: - And for good reason, Kenny. You made my boyfriend vanish before the homecoming game, and dance the next day.
Kenny: - (Oh great, how did I forget about that now?) I know, and I am sorry Sally, but I was about to tell the truth to Mark about what happened with Ace.
Sally: - Ok, I'm listening.
So, Kenny starts to tell them what happened to Ace.
After 10 min of explaining.
Mark and Sally had expressions of disbelief on their faces, not knowing whether to believe it or not.
Mark: - So, that's what happened.
Sally: - Kenny, I owe you an apology for thinking you were the cause for Ace to disappear. Can you forgive me?
Kenny: - Of course, Sally.
Mark: - But Kenny, you should tell the team what you told us.
Kenny: - I don't know, Mark. After seeing the messages in the group chat, I don't think the team wants to talk to me.
Sally: - Oh come on, Kenny, think about what Ace would have done in this situation. He would talk to the team whether they hated him or not.
Mark: - Kenny, if you want, I can get the team over here and ask them to hear you out before making a choice on what to do.
Kenny: Thank you Sally and Mark. I guess even the smartest people need to ask for help sometimes.
Mark: - Alright then, I will message the team.
So, Mark messaged the rest of the team to come to the park.
Sally: - Well guys, I need to go now, but if you need my help, Kenny, you can message me any time.
Kenny: Thank you, Sally.
Sally goes back to jogging, and Mark and Kenny wait for the team to show up.
Mark brought a football with him
Mark: - Kenny, you want to toss the football around for a while, as we wait for the team to join us?
Kenny: - Sure, I guess
Mark and Kenny started tossing the football around.
Mark: - I can tell you miss Ace a lot.
Kenny: - Yea. He was my best friend, and I feel bad for not going with him and helping him out.
Mark: - I know Kenny, but the Mew said he only needs Ace, so it could mean that Ace is the only person who can help or something like that.
Kenny: - Yea, but I'm more or less nothing without Ace
Mark: - Come on now, Kenny, that's not like you to say things like that.
Kenny: - I guess so.
So, they continued to toss the football for 20 mins. After that the team showed up.
Kenny got a bit worried when he saw Ace's team coming.
Mark: - Hey, it's ok, Kenny. I will make sure no one will hurt you.
Kenny: - (gulp) Ok then.
William: - Mark, why did you call us here?
Max: - Yeah, I was about to play on my Switch when I got the message.
Alex: - Wait, why is Kenny here?
Jack: - Let me at him.
William: - He is the cause of why our great captain has gone missing
Alex: - Come on now, Jack, William, we shouldn't jump to conclusions like that.
Max: - Ya, like, Kenny might want to say his side of the story on what happened.
They all looked at Kenny.
Mark: - By the way, Jack, where is the rest of the team?
Jack: - Oh they were too busy to come. It's just us.
Mark: - Ah ok then, well Kenny, the stage is yours.
Kenny took a deep breath and told what happened with Ace to some of the football team members.
After 10 min of explaining.
Alex: - I knew it.
Max: - I think what Alex meant to say was he knew that Kenny would not do anything wrong to Ace, and I had the same feeling.
Jack: - Well, I must apologize to you Kenny.
William: - Ya, I hope you can forgive us and most of the team for thinking mean things about you.
Mark: - See Kenny, I knew they would understand.
Kenny: - Ya, I guess you were right, Mark. Also, William, yes, I forgive you guys.
Jack and William: - Thanks, Kenny.
Jack: - But how is Ben taking this info?
Kenny: - Not so well.
William: - We should go see him and try to help him and his family out since Ace is gone.
Max: - Ya, we should go then.
Just then Nathan (vice president of the student body) came up to them
Nathan: - Hey guys. Have you seen Ace anywhere?
Jack: - Nathan have you not-
William covered Jack's mouth before he finished his sentence, adding in an additional sentence to lay off suspicion
Will: - Ace will be busy doing homework right now at this hour, he will come to the school to practice later.
Nathan: - Oh ok. Well, can you guys tell him that he needs to choose what the homecoming dance theme is.
Alex: - Ok, Nathan, we will tell Ace once we see him at practice tonight.
Nathan: - Thanks, you two.
Nathan leaves the group to go home.
William takes his hand away from Jack's mouth.
Jack: - William! Why did you do that!?
Max: - Well, he did the right thing.
Jack: - Why you-!
Alex: - Hey calm down Jack.
Mark: - Ya, have you forgotten how Nathan talks a lot, and Ace does hate him and doesn't want to give him his role as president of the student body. But if Nathan finds out that Ace is gone, he will get everyone to vote for him, and then he will put us to shame since we made fun of him in the past.
Jack: - Oh yea, I forgot about that. Thank you, William, for saving us all from doom.
William: - You're welcome, Jack.
Mark: - Should we go?
Kenny: - Sure we can, but I have a small idea on how we can make this better.
So, Kenny called Sally over
Sally: - Hey Kenny, you need something?
Kenny: - Ya. Where is your sister? I want to ask her if she wants to come with us to see Ben. to cheer him up.
Mark: - Great idea, Kenny. Bringing Ava along with us can help ben.
Max: - Yup, but will Sally allow Ava to come with us?
Sally: - For your kind info, Max, I will allow my sister to go with you guys. I want Ben to feel better as well.
Max: - Right, I'm sorry, Sally.
Sally: - It's ok, Max.
Sally called her sister to come to the park.
After 10 mins of waiting for Ava to come to the park.
Ava: - Why did you call me over here, Sally?
Sally: - Ava, you know how Ace has vanished? Well, Ben is really upset about that. I asked you to come here so you can help cheer up Ben, since his brother is gone.
Ava: - I see. Sure, I will help Ben out.
Kenny: - Thank you both.
So, they all set off to Ace's house.
When they got to Ace's house, they rang the doorbell, but no one answered the door.
Max: - This is odd. Why is Ben not answering the door?
Kenny: - Ya, right both Ben and Mrs. Rogers should be home.
Alex: - Should we break the door down?
William: - No Alex. If Ace finds out we did that after he comes back, he will hate us for that.
Mark: - What should we do, Kenny?
Kenny pulls out a set of keys and unlocks the front door.
Jack: - Since when did you have keys to Ace's house, Kenny?
Kenny: - Ace gave me a key to his house for problems like these.
Jack: - That makes sense.
So, they all walked inside the house, and see Mrs. Rogers sitting down and looking through pictures of Ace
Kenny: - Mrs. Rogers?
Mrs. Rogers: - Oh hi. I did not hear the doorbell. I am sorry about that.
Kenny: - I know you miss Ace, but I promise that I will try to find him, Mrs. Rogers.
Mrs. Rogers: - Thank you, Kenny. I am happy that Ace has a friend like you.
Mrs. Rogers wiped her tears off her face.
Mrs. Rogers: - So what can I do for you boys?
Max: - How is Ben doing after knowing Ace is gone?
Mrs. Rogers: - He's been up in his room and does not want to leave.
Alex: - That bad, huh...
Kenny: - Well, I brought some of the team members, and Ava, to help cheer Ben up from all this.
Mrs. Rogers: - Ah, that is so nice of you, Kenny. Why don't you guys go up there then?
They all went up to Ben's room, but they saw he was not there at all.
Mark: - Odd. Ben is not in his room.
Alex: - I might have a guess on where Ben might be.
Kenny: - Ace's room.
Alex: - Oh come on now, Kenny, I wanted to say it.
Ava: - Oh, knock it off, Alex. We are here for Ben, not you.
Ava walks over to Ace's room and knocks on the door.
Ava: Ben you in there? It's me, Ava, your girlfriend.
But Ben does not answer
William: - This might be hard to get in
Kenny pulls out his key set
Alex: - Kenny, please don't tell me you have a key to Ace's room
Kenny unlocks to the door to Ace's room
Max: - Now that might be going too far, Kenny
Kenny: - I only do this when Ace is upset and will not open the door just to talk. I'm not a creep, Max.
Max: - Ok ok, I was kidding, I'm sorry.
They all walked into Ace's room. There they see Ben in Ace's bed looking at pictures of him and Ace playing around and being good brothers.
Kenny walked over and sat near Ben.
Ben looks up to Kenny.
Kenny: - Ben?
Ben: - Kenny, I-I-
Ava walked over to Ben, and hugged him
Ava: - It's ok, Ben. We all miss Ace but being sad will not help you or the rest of us.
Mark: - Ya, we all will be here for you.
Alex: - Right.
Max: - We will be here for you to make sure you will not miss Ace.
Jack: - Ya, so please stop being sad Ben.
Ben: - But-
William: - Ben, come on now. We can just go to the park and have some fun.
Ben looked at the picture of him and Ace, then back to his friends and gf.
Ben: - Alright. Let's go then.
Everyone, except Kenny, left Ace's room
Kenny looks at his best friend on the wall
Kenny: - (Ace, I hope you're doing well, wherever you are. I am sorry to break your promise to keep this problem a secret from the others. I will do my best to keep your brother happy until you come back)
Just then, Ben came back
Ben: - Kenny, are you coming?
Kenny: - Ya, just a sec, Ben
Kenny: - (Well Ace, please be safe, and I will talk to you later)
Kenny walks out of Ace's bedroom
