Author's note: Decided to add a few more lighhearted chapters here and there in between the heavier ones to break it up a bit.

I really liked the idea of Ashley hosting a game of dungeons and dragons, also allowed me to introduce some other hellborn OC's.

These aren't throwaway characters and i had actually created them before i even started writing the fic and i had been debating for a while whenever or not to introduce them.

Since they are hellborn, you could see this chapter as another hazbin hotel/helluva boss crossover, which btw, there WILL be more of.

Chapter 48:

Nerd-alert

Velvette currently sat at Ashley's kitchen table, a sketchbook before her and her phone open as she was doodling away on ideas for her latest line of dresses and skirts, all the while accompanied by the loud noises of her new girlfriend, Ashley, and her bestie, Pink Neon, who were currently on the other end of the pent house, deeply engrossed in a game of Mario cart on Ashley's large flatscreen TV.

"BOOM, FIRST PLACE BITCH! Try to catch up with that!" Pink excitedly yelped before going "AW MAN!" as Ashley cockily quipped "AAAAAAND boom. Banana peel"

As the shark-grinned sinner teasingly yelped out "Get blue-shelled, bitch!" Pink would throw her arms in the air "How are you so nimble? you're using fucking BOWSER!" as Ashley responded "Never underestimate the power of a well assembled cart" in a casual, yet confident way.

Velvette would chuckle at the 2 demonesses' antics as she piped up "play nice, girls" as she wrapped up her new design, before closing the cover on her sketchbook as she got up and tried putting it on the nearby shelf that Ashley had cleared out especially for her stuff.

Ever since the doll demoness and the shark overlord started dating, Velvette had begun to partially move some of her things into Ashley's penthouse, but as she put away her sketchbook, something caught her eye.

"Babe, what's all this stuff?" Velvette would pipe up as she entered the living room with a book in her hand, a couple of paper sheets with fantasy figures on them and a set of weird plastic shapes that almost looked like boardgame dice, tho only 1 of the 7 strange shapes actually resembled the dice Velvette always had known.

Looking over her shoulder at what her girlfriend was holding, Ashley's eyes lit up as a big grin creeped onto her face "Oooooh my DnD stuff" she smiled as she got up and took the items from Velvette as she blew off some dust "Man, I haven't played this since I came down here"

Velvette would cock her head to the side as she narrowed her eyes in confusion "What's "DnD"?"

Ashley answered "oh it's an abbreviation, it stands for "Dungeons and dragons", it's a tabletop roleplay game" as in the background, Pink would jokingly groan with a smirk as she said "Uhg here we go again"

Raising a single eyebrow with a deadpan expression, Velvette kept her head cocked to the side as she spoke "Dungeons and dragons? Isn't that that game for nerds?"

Still holding the book and the collection of weirdly shaped dice, Ashley narrowed her eyes as she stared at velvette "And what exactly are you trying to say with that?" as behind her, Pink joked "WEE-WOO, WEE-WOO, NERD-ALLERT, NERD-ALLERT" tho she was quickly met by Ashley throwing a ball of crumpled paper towards the pink sinner's head with accurate precision as she yelped "OH SHUSH YOU"

Velvette would chuckle as she put a hand on Ashley's arm "Sorry babe, I shouldn't make fun of something you're clearly very passionate about" which caused Ashley to beam her a big smile "It's alright hun, I mean, I gotta admit, it IS a big nerd thing, but I can assure you, it's allot of fun" As the shark sinner suddenly gained a face as if a lightbulb went off.

Pink Neon would pipe up "Oh no, I know that face. You got an idea, don't you, Ash?" as the moment Pink asker her that, Ashley would blurt out in excitement "Ya know, we could TOTALLY run a game, get some folks together, get some snacks, it'll be fun" to which Velvette would glance at her uncomfortably "Uhh….i don't know Ash, hun….i don't think this is entirely up my alley"

Putting the books down on a nearby table, Ashley would put her hands on the short demoness' shoulders as she gave her 2 large, pleading eyes "Oh come on baby.. You'll never know if you don't try it. Please? Just once, try it for me?"

Sighing deeply in defeat, Velvette gave her a subtle smile "Alright….fine….for you" as she reached out and planted a quick peck on the shark-grinned sinner's cheek, who quickly jumped in place "FUCK YEA, you're the best, babe"

And as Velvette sauntered off to the kitchen to make herself a coffee, she'd smirk as she spoke "I know darling, I know" in a teasing way.

Pink would pipe up next "All jokes aside, you HAVe made me very curious about it from all the times you told me about it, maybe I can call some hellborn friends of mine and we can get a group together"

At the mention of this, Ashley looked a tad uncomfortable "Hmmm….ok I'll make sure to run a non-demon themed game then" before taking a deep breath as she approached Pink and asked "Who are these folks anyway?"

Pink would just smirk as she spoke, all the while whipping out her phone and sending a few messages out "Ashley, my dear friend…I think it's about time you meet the gang…."

Being led through the halls of the hazbin hotel now, Ashley would eagerly gush "Again, Charlie, thank you SO much that we could use the boardroom" to which the princess just answered "Hey of course Ashley, no problem" as she led the small group consisting of the anarchy demon herself, her new girlfriend Velvette, Pink neon and Melodie to said room "Aaaaaand here it is, now if you need anything, you know where to find us, ok?" before giving them the key to the large room and heading off to her usual hotel duties.

As Ashley set up a small screen, preventing others from reaching her notes, she'd glance over to Pink as she asked "So, you send them the sheet with all the rules, right?"

"Eyup" Pink happily piped up "and it seems everyone's character sheet is finished as well"

At this news, the shark-grinned sinner would do a little shuffle dance in place as she giddily squealed "This is gonna be so EXCITIIIIING"

It wouldn't take long before Pink's friends would arrive as the door was opened by the princess, who gestured "You'll find them here" before she called inside "Ashley, Pink, your guests are here" as she would fully open the door and the first who would step in was a tall, lanky, female demoness who seemed to resemble an owl, the feathers making up her "hair" styled into a large, prominent Mohawk as the rest was tied in the back into a giant, wild ponytail.

She wore a leather motorcycle jacket with metal spikes on the shoulders, a red turtle neck sweater under it with a "boob window" giving ample view of her cleavage and a pair of baggy, dark, army green cargo pants.

Next to the tall bird demoness, a red skinned succubus with baby-blue hair holding onto her arm affectionately. She wore a simple black bustier with ripped blue booty shorts and simple ballerina style flats.

Velvette and Ashley stared with pure disbelieve at the tall demoness as Pink would just casually approach them and greet them with open arms "Philly, Lilly, glad you guys could make it" as the 3 embraced into a hug, to which the succubus would pipe up "Pink, ya slut, it's been ages, how've you been?" at the tall bird like demoness seemed to respond with a more reserved hum, tho with a subtle smile on her beak.

The short fashionista was the first to speak as she asked "Pink….you're friends with a fucking Goetia?!"

The tall owl demoness would raise an eyebrow with a deadpan face as she quipped back "EX-goetia, I left the family about 20 years ago" before mumbling under her breath "Bunch of stuck-up fancy pants pricks"

Pink would stand next to the 2 hellborn demons as she addressed the 2 sinners "Ashley, Velvette I want you to meet Phillis" to which the Goetia demoness spoke up with a gruff "Yo" before Pink finished "And Lilly" who responded with a much more open "Heya"

Melodie too would approach the 2 demonesses as she unfurled her wings and embraced them into a big, feathery hug "It's been too long, you guys" before she backed away a bit to look them in the eye before she asked "Where's Courtney?"

Lilly would sigh as she rubbed her forehead, slightly annoyed as Phillis would answer "Where do you think, Melli? LOST, as usual. Don't get me wrong, I love the succubitch to bits but she can't tell her left from her right" as the group of 4 would chuckle while pink wiped away a single tear as she spoke "Ahhh, classic Courtney"

At this point however, the tall bird demoness would approach the shark sinner "So….."Miss Fortune" hu? Heard allot about you" the Goetia demoness said with her arms crossed, a confident smirk on her beak.

Ashley smirked as she brushed some dust off her shoulder "I see my reputation precedes me" tho they would quickly be cut off by an approaching noise as they heard somebody panicking from the hallway, accompanied by slowly approaching footsteps, as if someone was mid-sprint "ohshitohshitohshitohshiti'mlatei'mlatei'mlateI'MLATEI'MLAAAAATE"

As suddenly, a reddish pink shape would whiz by the door, seemingly trip over its own feet and with a scream, comically tumble down the hallway, only to come to a stop face first against the end of said hall, against a wall with a loud thud.

The group consisting of Phillis at the top, Ashley bellow her, Then pink, followed by Lilly, then Melodie and last but not least, Velvette, would peek their heads around the corner of the doorframe to observe the scene as Melodie, Pink, Phillis and Lilly would pipe up, as if this was just a regular, daily occurrence to them "….hi Courtney" in unison.

Jumping up, the figure would quickly dust herself off as Ashley and Velvette were now able to get a better look at her.

Her skin was a very dark, slightly reddish pink, her eyes were big and yellow, with pink irises, like they have come to expect from succubi. She sported small, cute, pointy ears that were adorned with several piercings as a thick set of chunky, upwards curling horns sat on her temples as her stark white, messy hair with subtle light blue highlights was tied in the back into a crude ponytail that still hung all the way to her buttcrack.

From her back protruded 2 small, black batwings as behind her swung that all too familiar ropey tail with a heart shaped, spaded tip.

As expected from succubi, her top was VERY provocative, sporting a short, sleeveless croptop that was just mesh, leaving nothing to the imagination as the only thing covering up her breasts underneath were 2 X'es formed by black tape.

"Whassup fucknuggets!" she happily stated as the did the ONE thing that immediately caught ALL of Ashley's attention…..she gave them…..the finger guns…..

Ashley had taken her position behind the screen she had set up, going as far as to put on a cloak with a big, ominous hood as she began to weave the tale, starting simple "You've been hired to partake in clearing out the local woods from threats by the town's mayor and meet at a tavern…." As she first turned to Pink "Would you like to describe your character?"

Pink Neon began "I decided to go for nice and simple for my first, a high elf ranger named Evelyn" as one by one, Ashley got the group to introduce their character.

As excepted, Melodie had picked the angelic race known as the Aesimar named Marr and made a paladin,

Velvette chose the cat-race of the tabaxi, a sorcerer,

Lilly had chosen a gnome wizard named Penny,

Phillis chose a dwarf barbarian named Martha,

And last but not least, the group stared at the pinkish succubus at the end of the table, who smirked as she spoke "Aman'tel….female dragonborn…" which got some nods of approval, a cool, half-dragon looking race, that was until she spoke the last part "….bard….." as Pink rubbed her forehead with a sigh " uhg…of course she HAD to pick a bard….classic Courtney…." To which Ashley spoke up "why is that bad?"

"You'll see" was all Pink wanted to say.

The game had quickly picked up as the "adventuring party" had made its way deeper into the woods, where they got ambushed as Ashley began to describe the scene "You find yourself surrounded by small, green creatures with large, pointed ears and crude weapons. You all know what these are, they're Goblins"

Right away, Courtney would stick up her hand, and as Ashley gave her a nod, indicating she had her attention, she spoke "Which one looks the toughest?"

Ashley smirked "Can you roll on insight for me?" she spoke as, like she had been explained, the succubus rolled the 20 sided die, which landed on a 18, to which Ashley spoke "Oh without a doubt, you can easilly pick out their leader" As she pointed to one of the miniatures on the map that they had laid onto the table.

But before Ashley was able to describe what the goblin leader looked like, Courtney spoke up "I cast vicious mockery on the goblin!"

"….are you sure?" Ashley asked.

"Did I stutter?" Courtney asked, as next, in character, Courtney would point to the mini and shout "GOBLIN ON DEEZ NUTS!"

Ashley's face took on a blank expression as she muttered "…Oh….."that's" what Pink meant….it's gonna be one of "those" games…."

Ashley had quickly learned that Courtney would take ANY opportunity to make a "deez nuts" joke.

Meeting with a mysterious faction of warlocks called the Sugondese?

"SUGONDESE NUTS!"

Fighting a beholder? "I cast viscious mockery…." And as Ashley silently pleaded "Please don't…" Courtney would just deeply inhale as she yelped "YOU CAN BEHOLD DEEZ NUTS!"

At this point, it had become very much a battle of wits. Dungeon master against player as Ashley would throw increasingly stranger creatures to the group, in the hopes that the succubus would NOT be able to make a deez nuts joke, only to fail miserably every time, tho to her joy, it would bring the whole table to a mad cackle every time.

Even Velvette, who was VERY reserved about the idea of playing dungeons and dragons at first had gone to get really engrossed into the game as, with every one of Courtney's deez nuts jokes, she would have her head buried into her arm as she's slam her fist into the table from pure laughter.

By now the group had now reached the "Big badguy" of the story, an evil, ancient red dragon.

As Ashley slammed down the ornately painted miniature, she yelped smugly "HA, TRY TO MAKE A JOKE WITH THIS ONE, COURTNEY!"

Courtney just stared at the shark sinner as a smirk slowly formed on her lips "…i…..cast.…..vicious…mockery…"

And as Ashley's face fell, Courtney got up, climbed onto the table, pointed at the miniature and screamed "DRAGON DEEZ NUTS ON YOUR FACE!" as the entire table lost it, erupting in laughter.

By now, even Ashley had fallen off her chair, rolling on the carpet as her sides hurt from laughing.

Sure, it wasn't exactly what she had planned the game to turn into, but everyone was having fun, and that was more important to her….
