Chapter 1-D – Two Legacies, One Family Part 1: Samurai Defenders of the Rising Sun
Location: Eartheon, Rising Japan, Tokyo
Date: Early May 3026 (Friday)
We open to the country known as Rising Japan, also known as the Land of the Rising Sun, it looks just about the same as Japan from Earth Primus, only that it has an addition of a few other artificial islands and as well as some hints of advanced technology, all thanks to some technology companies and as well as some multi-purpose companies that include technology in their businesses such as Kougami Foundation, Hiden Intelligence, Thouser-Intellion, Sanada Corporation, Tachibana Technologies and Genm Musou Corporation and amongst the people of Japan were various non-humans such as elves, beastkin, other supernatural creatures and demi-humans from straight out of fantasy and as well as aliens from straight out of sci-fi walking alongside one another.
Time: 3PM (Japan Time)
We now go somewhere in Tokyo where it was currently the afternoon and the citizens of Rising Japan were going on about their daily routines.

In a somewhat secluded area, we see a trio of little boys playing baseball catch with one another after a day of school. They were composed of a human, a wolf beastkin and an alien called an Andronian, a sentient living android that resembles a lot like a human but with colored optics that would glow in the dark and two small white rectangular metal patches on either side of their foreheads just above their brows with glowing-colored dots on it. The optics and dots on this andronian boy, was color blue. The boys were having fun when one of the boys, the andronian tossed the ball too hard as it flew passed the one who he was tossing it to and went bouncing away until it rolled into a small gap between a corner of a wall and a stack of boxes.
"Ah! Gomen!" apologized the andronian boy.
"Daijoubu Koji-kun, I'll get it!" said the human boy who went after the ball.
"Hurry back Shinji!" called out the wolf beastkin.
"Alright Ryo-san!" said Shinji as he went to the gap, crouched down and reached out for the ball but unfortunately it was a bit out of reach "Ugh… too far…" he said struggling to reach out.
But unbeknownst to him, it's a bad idea to go near the gap, for a gap is an entrance and exit between this world and a place known as… the Netherworld… and you better not peak in… for on the other side… lies said realm and in there, you'll find what's known as the Sanzu River, a mythical river where it's said in Japanese culture that the souls of the departed must cross in order to enter the afterlife and the Netherworld also happens to be home to an evil force that's been terrorizing Rising Japan for centuries, a force known as the Nighloks.
"Almost…" uttered Shinji inches away from reaching the ball but just when he was almost there, another hand from the other side of the gap grabbed the ball startling Shinji as he screamed and fell on his back and started to crawl backwards scared.
"Shinji!" called out Ryo and Koji as they ran to help their friend.
The gap started to glow red before monstrous looking creatures came out.
These monstrous creatures looked humanoid but they had fish-like features that being red tentacle-like tails on the back of their waist and red fish-like heads with tentacle-like hair appendages; some that are short while some that reaches past their backs with webbed ear-like parts on either side of their heads and as for their faces, in place of faces were open fish jaws revealing the inside of their mouths being black and razor-sharp white teeth. They were clad in yellow robes with black sashes around their waists, dark brown and red scale-like armor composed of torso armor, shoulder pauldrons with tentacle-like parts sticking out around the upper area, faulds and tassets, black and white bone spiked bracers, black gloves with white black spike knuckled upper palm armor, black and red scaled greaves and boots and held in their hands were dao swords with a silver edge, red serrated back edge resembling their red tentacle-like appendages, black handles and dark red circular guards. These creatures were commonly known as Moogers, the grunts of the Nighloks.
Shinji looked on scared as he desperately crawled back from the monsters as they slowly walked towards him.
Ryo and Koji stopped in their tracks shocked and scared at the same time by the sudden appearance of the monsters. The young wolf beastkin was the first to snap out of it as he snarled, letting out a fierce angry expression as his eyes sharpened and feral "Oi! Leave Shinji alone bakemono-baka!" he shouted as he began to run in all fours like a wolf towards the Moogers in order to save his friend.
"Ryo-kun, wait!" shouted Koji running after the wolf beastkin.
Ryo's shout was heard as the Moogers turned their attention to him before the wolf boy lunged at one of them tackling it to the ground surprising them. Ryo then got up before pouncing at a couple more kicking and punching them.
While the Moogers were distracted, Koji went over to Shinji and helped him up "Daijoubu Shinji-kun?" asked Koji.
"H-Hai!" nodded Shinji a bit shaken.
"RAAHHH! Put me down! Put me down!" shouted the voice of Ryo as Shinji and Koji turned towards their friend's voice only to let out alarmed expressions as they saw one of the Moogers grab Ryo by his arm and lifted him up as the young wolf beastkin kicked using his legs attempting to hit the Mooger as he struggled to escape but to no avail despite his strength as a beastkin.
"Ryo-kun/Ryo-san!" exclaimed Shinji and Koji in alarm before they started trembling in fear as the Moogers' attention was turned to them as they began to slowly approach the two.
Suddenly, something small came flying in and zipped passed the Moogers striking them leaving fiery sparks and explosions in every hit causing the Nighlok grunts to stagger or fall to the ground as the Mooger holding Ryo captive dropped the little wolf beastkin to the ground.
"OOF!" exclaimed Ryo upon hitting the ground.
The small object was revealed to be a red, black and silver robotic origami lion with a gold spot on top of its' nose, green eyes and the Shiba symbol on its' left frontal leg shoulder. This was the Lion FoldingZord.
The lion foldingzord then landed onto its' waiting owner's left palm before it folded into its' standby form or emblem form which was a handheld device that took the shape of a red pentagonal emblem with a black top with a silver pentagonal outline and a red kanji symbol for "Fire".
With Ryo, he was having trouble getting up when a pair of hands helped him stand up.
The one who helped him up was a middle-aged human male about 54 years old with short neat black hair, slim and strong build, pale skin and hazel yellow eyes with a pair of rectangular framed glasses worn over them. He was currently clad in a dark gray and white gi, black hakama pants with a dark gray and black obi sash and a pair of black Ninja tabi shoes. This was Jason Takahashi.
"Run, get yourself and your friends out of here!" said Jason.
"H-Hai!" said Ryo as Jason helped him get away from the Moogers.
As Jason and Ryo ran past the owner of the lion foldingzord, said owner faced the Moogers and took out what looked like a flip phone.
When opened, the front of the flip phone had a white rectangular body with a black stripe center, white buttons on the left and right sides, red buttons on the middle, one single blue-green button on the upper left side of the phone and a gold square shaped directional buttons with a black button at the center above the number buttons and the back of the phone was red and cylindrical with a black top and a black bottom with a ring where a keychain can be attached to. This flip phone was known as the Samuraizer.
The figure flipped open the Samuraizer with the flick of the wrist as the screen of the flip phone turned on revealing a black screen with the red kanji for fire and the next thing the figure did was that they folded the phone again as it split down the middle revealing the red cylinder and a white and black calligraphy brush-like top popped out of the top of the phone switching it to brush mode.
"Hayaku!" said Jason reuniting Ryo with his friends as the three little boys ran from the area.
"Arigatou!" said the boys running to safety.
At the same time while the three boys ran away, two Kuroko appeared by the figure's side and both threw smoke bombs in front of the Moogers creating a smokescreen obscuring the figure while disorienting the latter group.
Once the smoke cleared, the Moogers got a good look at their adversary.
The figure was female and clad in red and black spandex with the top part being red with a black and white accented Y-shaped stripe in the middle of the chest as if the figure was wearing a gi, white neck collar, a gold and black outlined Shiba symbol on the upper left pectoral area, the lower part of the spandex being black under a red skirt with black upside down triangles on the hips, a gold belt around the waist with a black and red accented pouch containing the Samuraizer strapped on the right side of the belt, a gold circular buckle with a circle and upside down fan-like sigil on the buckle and a gold sword holder at the left side of the belt, a pair of white and black ringed forearm gloves, a pair of red and black ringed boots that reach just below the knees and finally worn on the figure's head was a red helmet with a red mouthguard and a huge black and white accented visor resembling the kanji symbol for "Fire". This was the Red Samurai Ranger.
Attached to the sword holder located on the left side of her belt was an advanced looking katana with a silver edged blade with a golden filler with a red stripe half-way at the back with a gold bulky looking part at the lower part of the back of the blade, a black and red striped tsuka handle with a gold kashira pommel with a gold Shiba symbol on the side of the pommel and in between the black and the tsuka handle was a rotating mirror diamond jewel. This sword was the Red Samurai Ranger's signature sidearm weapon commonly known as the Spin Sword.
"Look before you Moogers!" said Jason with a strong voice of authority as he now stood behind the Red Samurai Ranger to her right while the two Kuroko knelt in seiza style on standby a couple steps away from the latter on either side "This is the 41st leader of the Samurai Power Rangers" he revealed as he stepped forward "Descendant of the samurai who destroyed your masters years ago" he said as the Moogers became wary of the Red Samurai Ranger as they let out some guttural growls.
"You have two options" warned Jason "You can retreat now and return to the netherworld… or you can stay here… and become rust on her blade" he said.
As Jason spoke, Red Samurai Ranger opened the buckle of her belt revealing a black disc with an octagonal hole and eight pictures of the Shiba symbol in black, white and gray and each picture had the symbol positioned in eight different angles as if it were spinning. This was one of many special trinkets the samurai rangers use called Power Discs, this one being the Samurai Disc.
"Don't bother sensei…" said Red Samurai Ranger removing the disc from her buckle before it enlarged as she held it up.
"Hmm…?" hummed Jason glancing at her.
"I have no intention of letting them retreat" she said calmly while attaching the disc to her Spin Sword forming the tsuba guard of her blade "I'm going forth and taking them for a spin!" she declared before unsheathing her weapon pointing it towards the Moogers.
The Moogers prepared themselves for a fight as Red Samurai Ranger twirled her sword and held it to her left, she slowly got into an In no Kamae stance before quickly switching into a Ko Gasumi stance and with a shout, charged forward, the Moogers charging forward as well.
Once the two sides collided, Red Samurai Ranger started off with two sword swings countering one Mooger's sword strike before striking them in return, she then continued on with the sword swings, countering and striking her foes with great precision.
She held up her spin sword on a ready stance before pressing on with the attack.
Red Samurai Ranger and the Moogers were now in what looked like some dock as the former continued on with her attacks.
Strike, strike, block, strike.
Strike, strike, counter, strike.
She continued on with this dance of swords before she and one Mooger got into a sword lock, the two moved sidewards in an attempt to get out of the sword lock, the former managing to end the lock first as she sent the Mooger stumbling forward before striking another Mooger in front of her followed by a couple strikes at two more.
Four Moogers surrounded her and attempted to strike her with a quintuple downward slash only for Red Samurai Ranger to outsmart them by bending forward while holding out her Spin sword to her back blocking the four attacks with her blade surprising the four, Red Samurai Ranger then pushed them away before doing a spinning side kick to one Mooger before charging towards another group of Moogers near the edge of the dock.
She continued on with her assault of attacking Moogers left and right with great skill and precision, she then saw another Mooger attempt to attack her with a leap only for her to swiftly strike it down with a right horizontal sword swing while she stood up straight, then as if sensing their moves, Red Samurai Ranger slightly crouched while doing a one-handed sword swing to her right striking a Mooger that also tried to leap at her before doing a 180-sword strike at another one.
Suddenly, two Moogers popped out of the water at the edge of the dock in an attempt to ambush her only for her to quickly turn to them and executed a horizontal slash striking them both, sending the two back into the water with a *SPLASH!*.
The Red Samurai Ranger continued on with her fight with the Moogers striking them down left and right while blocking some of their attacks.
"Time to finish this…" she declared before opening her belt buckle revealing another power disc, this one being red with black silhouetted pictures of the Lion FoldingZord, this was the Lion Disc.
She removed the Lion Disc from her buckle and flipped it into the air as it enlarged, she then caught it with her Spin Sword as it attached to said blade.
She held her spin sword with her right hand before spinning the disc with the other hand, the diamond part of her spin sword showing the reflection of the pictures of the Lion Disk making the pictures move as if it was animating the picture of the lion running. As it was spinning, the diamond part started to emit small swirling streams of fire towards the blade before the whole spin sword was wreathed in swirling flames.
Red Samurai Ranger got into a Shin no Kamae stance before executing a 360 horizontal right spin slash at the Moogers followed by a wide one-handed right sword swing and then an upwards left sword swing, then turned back and did a left sword strike before finally turning back and with a shout, did two more 360 horizontal spin slash attacks.
"Seibai…" uttered Red Samurai Ranger standing in a post katana slash stance, her back facing the Moogers as her opponents all fell down to the ground all emitting white lightning before all of them were engulfed in a fiery explosion destroying them all in the process.

Once the explosion cleared and seeing that there were no longer any Moogers in the vicinity, Red Samurai Ranger let out a sigh and sheathed her Spin sword before returning to Jason and the two Kuroko.
As she walked towards them, her ranger form glowed a red glowing light before disappearing leaving a trail of red fire kanji shaped energy returning to her civilian form.
Red Samurai Ranger was a young teenage girl about 17 years old with short light brown hair fastened by a pair of red and white striped hair clips on either side of her head, fair skin, slender build, ample bust and orange eyes, if you looked closely, you'd mistaken her for Hibiki Tachibana from Symphogear with the only difference being her hairpins. This young teen was Suzume Shiba-Tachibana the red ranger of the Samurai Power Rangers, she was currently clad in a casual attire composed of a white t-shirt under a light gray and white hoodie with a white hood and a couple of black stripes and over the hoodie was a red and white open jersey jacket with hints of black, black shorts under a red, black and white checkered pleated skirt, black socks with white and red rings and a pair of red and white converse all-star high cut sneakers.
For 13 centuries, the Samurai Power Rangers have protected Rising Japan from the evil forces of the Nighlok led by their leader Master Xandred, passing on their powers from parent to child in every generation and even though they helped other forces whether in or out of Eartheon from hostile enemies not of what they usually fight, the samurai rangers and their descendants have always made it their top priority to defend all of Eartheon from the Nighlok till this day.
The samurai clan tasked with leading the samurai power rangers was originally entrusted to the Shiba clan and for 3 centuries, Shiba descendants have carried out their role as red rangers leading the samurai power rangers in defending Rising Japan from the Nighlok forces. But as time passed, the Shiba clan started to decline and to ensure the continuation of the clan's bloodline and as well as the task of passing on the power of the red samurai ranger, the last descendant of the Shiba clan married a descendant of the Tachibana clan, a samurai clan who's been one of the long-time allies and supporters of the Shiba clan and have helped them and the samurai power rangers for the last 300 years despite not being chosen to become one of the 5 samurai families to fight the Nighlok and with the unity of these two clans came the birth of a new bloodline to continue the red samurai ranger legacy: the Shiba-Tachibana clan as their firstborn descendants carried on the mantle of red ranger for the next 10 centuries and today, Suzume is the current descendant to carry on the mantle of red ranger.
"Well, done Suzume!" praised Jason "I'm so proud that the young girl I've dedicated myself to training has grown to be a master samurai" he said "Your family would be proud of you" he told her.
Suzume let out a subtle smile at that "Thank you sensei" she said appreciating the praise.
"And not only that, I believe that you're ready to lead others to battle" added Jason.
"But… I'm mostly used to fighting alone" said Suzume while getting a hand towel offered by one of the Kuroko and wiped the sweat off her face "I don't want to risk putting others in danger sensei" she reasoned while getting a bottle of water offered by the other Kuroko before opening it and taking a sip.
"But the Nighlok attacks are beginning to escalate" said Jason "More and more of them will crossover to this world and do more of their evil" he told her.
"Then if more Moogers dare to crossover, then I'll be waiting for them and strike them down with my spin sword" declared Suzume casually with a hint of confidence, returning the bottle of water to the Kuroko and proceeded to walk past Jason.
"Do not underestimate the power of Master Xandred when he awakens" warned Jason without turning to his student making her stop in her tracks "His Nighlok legions are too much for one person… even one as strong as you" he told her turning to Suzume "Teams of samurai have battled this evil for centuries and even with or without the celestial gods' help or even the help of other allied forces, they've succeeded countless times" he reasoned.
This made Suzume ponder for a few moments before turning back to her teacher "Am I really meant to lead a team?" she asked having doubts.
"It's what your training has prepared you for" said Jason "There are four others who've trained for these dark days" he informed her "They await the call for when the time comes…" he said stepping forward and put a hand on Suzume's shoulder "To join you… and to fight as samurai rangers" he told her.
After pondering what her teacher just told her, she nodded "I understand sensei" she said "I'll do whatever it takes" she said determined as she, Jason and the Kuroko left the area but little did they know, they were being watched.

Meanwhile we go to a place known as the Netherworld, a barren wasteland of rocks with dark red skies and clouds and the mythical Sanzu River, a toxic plane composed of the tears of mortals whether human, alien or demi-human alike.
And it's in here we join a lone humanoid elderly nighlok standing on one of the rocky planes of the Netherworld.
This elderly nighlok was short with sickly green skin, a cephalopod head with five purple eye-like orbs at the top part of said head, two squinted white glowing eyes, two pointed ears with long earlobes, a beak-like mouth and tentacles surrounding his lower face making it look like a long mustache and beard. He wore some kind of red and sickly green robe over some yellowish armor on his torso, violet baggy pants, pointy yellowish and purple shoes, two red beaded bracelets on either wrists and held on his hand was some kind of intricate looking staff. This was Octoroo, one of Master Xandred's followers.
Currently, he was watching Suzume and Jason's conversation through his staff. He then heard Suzume's last words before she, Jason and the Kuroko left.
"I'll do whatever it takes" he heard Suzume making the octopus headed follower chuckle "And so will I, hehehehee~!" he chuckled deviously before ending his spying.
Octoroo then proceeded to look around as the Sanzu River flowed quietly "Ooh-ah-ooh, I wonder when the boss will wake up?" he said "I was hoping that Master Xandred would've woken up by now" he wondered.
Suddenly, he heard the sound of someone stepping on rocks behind him as he turned around to see a figure clad in a black hooded leather trench coat with a belt, black leather gloves and black boots standing in front of him "Ooh-ah-ooh! You've given me a fright!" he said in surprise taking a few steps away from the hooded figure "You better not be here looking to pick a fight!?" he rhymed pointing his staff at the figure.
The figure just raised their hands up "Please, no need to be alarmed" the figure spoke with a male voice "I've no intention of causing any trouble here" he said "I've come to offer… a proposition of sorts" he said.
"A proposition you say?" questioned Octaroo still pointing his staff "And what does this proposition of yours… entail?" he questioned narrowing his white glowing eyes.
The hooded figure smiled behind his hood and said "An alliance with the Nighlok" he said "An alliance that could benefit your leader's endeavors" he added.
Octaroo hummed as he stroked his tentacle-like beard pondering at this sudden proposal. After a few moments, he lowered his staff and said "Alright then, I'm listening" he responded "But you better not be lying, otherwise you'll end up on the ground crying" he rhymed in warning as the figure smiled deviously in response.
Location: Somewhere in Tokyo
Time: 4PM (Japan Time)

Meanwhile, back in Tokyo in another area of the city, upbeat music was being heard as we see a crowd gathered around an outdoor stage where we see a group of street dancers about 8 of them wowing the crowd with their upbeat dance performance. The street dance group were composed of a mix of humans, demi-humans and aliens. What's noticeable about them is how they would wear white shirts and blue hooded jackets.
Among the street dancers were three individuals.
The first one was a young human male about 20 years old with short jet-black hair, fair skin, slim and well-developed build and gray eyes. He was clad in a white V-neck t-shirt with a blue picture of a samurai kabuto helmet with two katanas in a cross formation and a vinyl disk at the background with the word "Chambara Beat" below the helmet, the shirt worn under a blue halfway zipped up hoodie with white chords and a white interior and the sleeves rolled up halfway through the forearms, a silver bangle bracelet on his left wrist, a pair of brown pants with a belt and a pair of white and black trainer shoes. This was Sotaro Sanada.
The second one was a teenage human female about 17 years old with medium length amaranth-red hair held in a ponytail by a pink scrunchie, fair skin, slim build, medium bust and gray eyes. She was clad in a white long sleeve shirt under a light gray t-shirt, a blue and white open sleeveless hooded zipper jacket with gray cords, a pair of black shorts with a belt, a pair of white socks and a pair of pink and black trainer shoes. This is Sotaro's younger sister Erena Sanada.
And the third one was a female teenage half-elf about the same age as Sotaro with long wavy blonde hair, fair skin, pointed ears, slim build, medium ample bust and green eyes. She's clad in a white t-shirt, black leggings under a pair of blue high rise denim shorts, a pair of black socks, a pair of neon green and silver trainer shoes, a blue hoodie worn around her waist by the sleeves, a blue and white wrist sweatband worn on her right wrist, a black wristband on her left wrist and worn on her head was a white and black hip hop cap with the initials "CB" etched in diamond beads on it. This was Aellora "Lora" Okamura, Sotaro and Erena's close friend.
Together with the other five, they form Team Chambara Beat, one of the few popular street-dance groups in Rising Japan known as Beat Riders with Lora as leader of the team and Sotaro as 2nd in command.
The stage that Chambara Beat were performing at had some surround sound speakers and attached to the wall behind them on the stage was a black wide digital screen currently viewing their team logo in color blue and white. This shows that the team has permission to perform on this stage, in fact, the stage Chambara Beat were performing at was one of the few stages made and owned by Sanada Corporation, a multi-business company run by Sotaro and Erena's family and they were made specifically for street dancers and there were others situated in different areas in Tokyo and if a Beat Rider group wanted to use one of the stages, all they have to do is send a request to use a stage and they'd have to schedule how long they'd be using it, whether if it's for one or a few days and the most time one dance group was allowed to use one stage is half a month at an arranged time schedule.
While Chambara Beat continued to dance, standing nearby from them and watching their performance was another group of Beat Riders.
This group were all male, a mix of different species and were about 7 members, they're clad in identical attire composed of dark gray short sleeve button up polos under maroon button up vests, a pair of black trousers with a belt, black socks, black dress shoes with red shoelaces and open white custom blazers with black and red stripes, silver dome buttons; some on either front side of the blazers, one on top of each of the shoulders, one on either of the cuffs and four around the waist area of the blazers and sleeves that reach until halfway through the forearms. 4 of the members wore blazers that were as short as waist length jackets and while the remaining 3 wore blazers that had extended longer making them look like overcoats and some of the members wore white and black ribbon fedora hats. This group is known as Team Knight Rise, Chambara Beat's beat rider rivals.
Among all the members were three individuals.
The first individual was a young human male about 21 years old with short brown hair, fair skin, slim and well-developed build and brown eyes. He was clad in the Knight Rise uniform with the long coat version of the blazer and in addition, he wore a gold chain wristband on his left wrist and a gold signet ring on his right index finger. This was Christopher "Chris" Chambers, leader of team Knight Rise.
The 2nd individual was also a young human male about a year younger than Chris with short messy raven black hair, fair skin, slim and average build and hazel brown eyes. He was clad in the Knight Rise uniform with the long coat version of the blazer the same as Chris and in addition, he wore a black three-strap leather belt wristband bangle cuff on his left wrist. This was Levi Harper, 2nd in command of team Knight Rise and Chris' righthand man/close friend and comrade.
And the third individual was a young gray wolf beastkin male about 19 years old with an appearance of a human about an inch shorter than Chris and Levi with short messy gray hair, fair skin, lean muscular build, gray wolf ears, a gray wolf tail, a pair of canines that would sometimes stick out of his mouth, specifically on the left side and yellow eyes. This was Gregory "Rego" Seno, another of Chris' close friends and comrades. He was clad in the Knight Rise uniform with the short version of the blazer with his tail sticking out of the back of his pants and in addition, he wears a silver tag necklace hanging around his neck.
Team Knight Rise looked on at their rival's performance as Chris watched with his arms crossed as he hummed.
"As usual, Chambara Beat's performance hasn't lost its edge, even with Lora taking over as leader" complimented Levi leaning an arm on a pillar.
"Yeah, but we're still number one! Right boss?!" said Rego with a cocky grin before turning to his friend and leader.
"Indeed… but I must admit…" he trailed off getting a "Hmm?" from the gray wolf beastkin "Despite their previous leader leaving the group, Chambara Beat continues to move forward and even if they were to encounter some bumps on the road, their determination, perseverance and dedication to continue on as a dance group just proves how they're not ones to give up and are willing to push on as a team no matter what or who gets in their way and that has earned my approval of respect" he said as the rest of team Knight Rise hummed or nodded in agreement, whatever their leader thinks, they'll support him all the way.

Soon after, Chambara Beat's performance ended as the crowd cheered while the beat rider group was in a group pose signaling the end of their dance.
"Thank you everyone!" said Lora as she and the rest of Chambara beat waved towards the crowd "We're glad you could come to see our performance!" she said.
"That's all for our performance today but be sure to come back next time!" said Sotaro as the crowd continued to clap and cheer for their favorite Beat Rider group.
Soon after, Chambara Beat got off the stage and were met up with team Knight Rise.
"That was a nice performance there Okamura, impressive as always" complimented Chris.
"Glad you approve Chris and I would also like to wish you luck on you and Knight Rise's performance today as well." said Lora.
"Thanks for the encouragement" nodded Chris.
"Give it all you got Chris!" said Sotaro raising up his arm towards team Knight Rise's leader.
"Good luck!" added Erena.
Chris smirked as he raised up his arm in return and the two bumped the side each other's arms indicating that he and Sotaro were not just rivals but also friends.
Chris then glanced behind his shoulder towards his team and nodded while gesturing them to follow him to the stage as the remaining members nodded before following him to the stage.

Later, Team Knight Rise were seen dancing on the stage, all of them dancing proudly and all moving in sync. On the screen behind them, it was now showing their logo which was a white and red outlined shield with a red colored knight's helmet with a red plume at the center of the shield, the words "Team Knight Rise" in silver capital letters; the word 'Team' above the knight helmet and the words 'Knight Rise' below the knight helmet, two black and white swords in a cross formation behind the shield and bellow the shield was a yellow ribbon with the word/numbers 'Since 3024' in black lettering and numbering.
In the gathered crowd watching team Knight Rise's performance were their fans and as well as other spectators as they cheered for their favorite dance group.
Nearby, Team Chambara Beat were seen sitting on a table having snacks composed of fast food such as burgers, fries and nachos while watching their rival's performance.
"Hmm… as usual, team Knight Rise is as professional as ever" commented Lora as she took a bite of her veggie burger.
"You could say that again Lora" agreed Sotaro taking a bite of his burger.
"Hai, they're really good" said Erena watching "How long did it take for them to perfect that routine?" she questioned while taking a sip of her drink through a straw.
"Well, all I have to say is that it took them lots of practice." said Lora as every member of Chambara Beat hummed and nodded in agreement as they continued to eat their food.
A little later, Team Chambara Beat were talking amongst themselves while Team Knight Rise proceeded with the next number of their dance performance.
One of the members of the former team then took notice of something arriving at the area near them. Said team member was Rowan Toranosuke, he's a young teenage male alien with a humanoid figure and characteristics of a tiger, he had orange and black striped fur, white furred five fingered hands, orange, white and black striped furred face with the upper part of his face being orange, the lower part of his face being white with black stripe patterns on his cheeks, orange short hair with black streaks, two upper canine teeth, slim and average build and green eyes with slit irises. He was wearing a white long sleeve shirt under a blue short-sleeve zipper hoodie, a pair of light blue jean pants with a belt, white socks and a pair of black and neon orange trainer shoes.
Rowan narrowed his eyes to get a clear look before they slightly widened in realization "O-Oi, Sota-san! Erena-san!" he said getting the Sanada siblings' attention "I think that must be your pickup" he said pointing towards behind the two.
Sotaro and Erena looked behind them and saw that a silver SUV parked on the side of the road near where they were and they recognized it.
"Oh yeah, that's our pickup." said Erena after finishing her food and drink.
"Guess it's time for us to leave" said Sotaro also finishing his food before throwing them on a nearby trash bin and Erena did the same.
"Guess this is goodbye for now guys" said Lora as she and the remainder of Team Chambara Beat stood up from their seats and said their goodbyes to the Sanada siblings.
"See you all next week everyone" said Sotaro.
"Yeah, see you Sota-san." said Rowan.
"Bye Erena-chan, I'll see you soon!" said another of the team members.
"I'll see you soon too" said Erena sharing a goodbye hug with her friend.
Sotaro and Erena then picked up their things and waved goodbye to their friends who waved back, as the Beat Rider team bid goodbye to two of their teammates, Chris took notice and smiled while continuing to dance with his team, knowing that he'll see his rival again.
But just when Sotaro and Erena took a couple steps forward towards their pickup, the door to the front passenger's seat opened.
"Eh?" uttered out the Sanada siblings in confusion as they watched someone climb out of the vehicle, once the person did so, the siblings' eyes widened in shock and the same went with the rest of Team Chambara Beat because of who came out of the vehicle.
"EEHHHH?! KOTO-KUN?!" exclaimed the whole Beat Rider Team.

Indeed, the one who came out of the vehicle was none other than Koto Kobayashi, a member of the Dimension Guardian Force, a Celestial Champion and one of those who escaped Temple Fortress Alpha from the military organization Valhalla, he also happens to be a member of team Chambara Beat and a close friend of Sotaro, Erena and Lora. Currently, he was wearing a new set of clothing composed of a dark green polo shirt with a white collar and purple accents under a gray button up cardigan, dark blue jean pants with a belt, a pair of white socks and a pair of gray trainer shoes with dark green and purple accents.
Team Chambara Beat just stood there in their places, dumbstruck at Koto's sudden appearance, even Chris stopped dancing when he saw Koto, the rest of team Knight Rise also followed suit upon noticing their leader stop dancing and followed his gaze, this caused the music to stop abruptly for some reason much to the audience's confusion.
The members of team Chambara Beat continued to stare wide eyed at Koto who approached them until he stood a few feet from them as they continued to stare at one another for what felt like hours until the silence was broken by Koto who smiled and spoke with a wave "Yo!" he greeted.
That snapped Chambara Beat out of their shock as they all smiled and shouted "KOTO-KUN!" before they ran over to him with the Sanada siblings reaching him first.
"Oh, my goodness! Koto-kun! I can't believe you're here!" exclaimed Erena leaping onto her friend in a hug.
"Great to see you too Erena-chan" said Koto returning the hug happily.
"You've been gone for a long time Koto-kun, glad to see you again!" said Sotaro as he shared a high five with his best friend.
"I've only been gone for a couple of weeks Sota-kun" corrected Koto returning the gesture "But it is good to be back" he said.
"You could say that again…" said Lora as she and the rest of team Chambara Beat joined up with the gathering "What were you up to this time that made you go MIA in our dance performances and practices?" she questioned with a playful smile.
"Oh that… well… it's complicated." said Koto.
"Complicated?" questioned Chambara Beat.
"Well, well…" spoke a voice as team Chambara Beat turned to see their rivals team Knight Rise approached them with Chris leading the group "Looks like team Chambara Beat's missing member has appeared after so long" he mused with his arms crossed "What brings you here considering that you're not in your team's getup?" he questioned.
"Actually, I came here to pick up Sota-kun and Erena-chan" he revealed surprising and confusing everyone before turning to the Sanada siblings "It's your brother, he wants to see you urgently" he said surprising the two as they glanced at each other wondering what they're older brother would need.
"What does Tora-niisan need?" questioned Erena to her friend.
"Well, it's kind of about two things that are connected to a matter that's urgent" said Koto confusing the siblings "One of those things is about that thing you're involved with Erena-chan" he said turning to the younger Sanada sibling making her ponder for a moment before realizing what he meant as her eyes widened "And the second matter involves the both of you and he'd like to discuss it with you" he said making Sotaro and Erena to ponder at that in wonder.
"Oh, and also…" trailed off Koto turning to Chris "He also wants to see you as well" he said surprising just about everyone in team Chambara Beat and team Knight Rise, although Chris didn't show it, he was surprised none the less.
"Wha?! Why does Sotaro and Erena's onii-san want to see the boss?" questioned Rego only for Chris to raise his hand telling him to calm down.
"What does Sotaro and Erena's older brother need from me?" questioned Chris.
"Like I said, it's urgent and besides, it's best that it's explained somewhere not out in the open" explained Koto.
Chris hummed, closed his eyes and held his chin in thought as his team looked at leader in concern.
"Chris?" said Levi.
"Boss?" said Rego as he and the rest of team Knight Rise waited for their leader's response.
After what felt like minutes but was only a few seconds, Chris hummed with a nod before opening his eyes "Alright then, I'll go with you" he said much to everyone minus Koto's surprise especially to the surprise of his Beat Rider team.
"Are you sure about this Chris?" questioned Levi.
"Yes, I'm sure about it" replied Chris turning to his 2nd in command "You guys just continue on with the show" he said surprising them "Don't worry, I'll meet up with you guys later after the meeting with the Sanada's older brother" he said.
"Boss…" uttered out Rego in concern before the gray wolf beastkin felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to see Levi "It's alright Rego, it's Chris after all" he said "If he knows what he's doing, then we should trust him" he assured.
Rego pondered for a moment before sighing with a nod "Alright then, we'll trust you, boss" he said.
Chris nodded before turning to Koto and the Sanada siblings "Alright then, let's go" he said.
"Right!/Hmm!" nodded the siblings and Koto.
And with that, the four got in the SUV and drove off towards their destination while the two Beat Rider teams waved them off in goodbye, till they see them again.
We now go to a large building that's a few stories high, near the road entrance was a concrete sign that said "Sanada Corporation" both in katakana and English writing, the former above and the latter below it and located on the left side next to the writing was an emblem of a five-petal flower within a circle with six coins on it; one coin on each of the five petals while the sixth coin was located at the center of the flower. This was the headquarters of Sanada Corporation and is where the Sanada siblings and their friends were arriving at as the vehicle carrying said group arrived in front of the entrance and dropped them off.
"Well… here we are." said Koto as he and everyone got down from the car.
"Hmm, so this is your family's company…" said Chris looking up and down at the building "I have to say that it's quite impressive" he commented.
"Thanks" said Erena "Our family's company has gone a long way to get to where it is today" she said also gazing at the building.
"And it took us a bit of patience, some ingenuity and a lot of hard work" added Sotaro gazing at his and his sister's family business building.
"And not to mention that this is one of the many branches of Sanada Corporation" said Koto "If I recall, your family company has divisions everywhere located not only in different regions of Japan but as well as in different parts of the world and this branch so happens to be the main headquarters of the corporation, right?" he asked the siblings in which they nodded with a hum in confirmation.
"Huh… now I'm even more impressed." said Chris having gained some new found respect for the Sanada Siblings' family.
"Alright then everyone, let's not idle any longer, let's go" said Koto as everyone nodded before entering the building.
We now go to an office where we see someone sitting on an office desk.
That someone was a young man in his late 20s with medium length wavy jet-black hair that reaches past his neck, fair skin, slim and well-developed build and gray eyes. This was Sotaro and Erena's elder brother Torahiko Sanada,the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) of Sanada Corporation's Main (Tokyo) Division. He was currently clad in a business suit composed of a white button up shirt under a black button up business blazer jacket, black trousers with a belt, a pair of black socks and a pair of black dress shoes, a white handkerchief tucked on the left breast pocket of his blazer and a gold wristwatch worn on his left wrist.
Torahiko was currently reading some documents for some projects when his phone suddenly sounded alerting him, he put down his document and pressed the answer button on speaker mode "Yes?" he asked through the phone.
"Sanada-san, Kobayashi-san has returned with your siblings and Chambers-san as requested" spoke a voice who was apparently the receptionist at the main hall of the ground floor.
"Good, please send them in" replied Torahiko with a nod.
"Hai" responded the receptionist before hanging up.
Torahiko let out an exhausted sigh putting his hands together as he leaned his elbows on his desk while leaning his forehead on his clasped hands "Guess the time is almost upon us…" he said to himself.
Later, the door to Torahiko's office opened allowing Koto to enter "Torahiko-san, I've brought them here as requested" he said as he stepped aside allowing the former's siblings and Chris to enter.
"Tora-niisan" said Erena upon seeing her elder brother.
"Sotaro… Erena…" greeted Torahiko as he stood up from his seat and approached the group and shared a group hug with his two siblings in which they returned "It's good to see you two here" he said with a small smile.
"Same with you Nii-san" replied Sotaro as he and Erena separated from the group hug and returned their elder brother's smile.
After letting the Sanada siblings have their moment, Chris spoke up "I was told, that you wanted to see me Sanada-san" he said.
"Indeed, I do" nodded Torahiko as he returned to his desk and took his seat "I've requested yours and my siblings' presence because something has happened" he said.
"Does it have something to do with 'that', Tora-niisan?" asked Erena.
"Well, you could say that" said Torahiko.
"Then if it is, then why involve Chris and Sota-niisan as well?" asked Erena.
"Because there's been word from the head of the Shiba-Tachibana clan that a new threat has emerged and it concerns the fate of not just our world but as well as the multiverse" he told them.
This new information shocked all of them with the exception of Koto who stayed calm.
Torahiko then continued "This new threat plans to conquer the multiverse and they'll bring all that stands in their way to their knees and they're a force to be reckoned with" he said making his younger siblings gasp while Chris raised an eyebrow but was alarmed albeit not showing it.
"I-Is this true Tora-niisan?" asked Erena concerned.
"It is…" spoke Koto gaining the three's attention "They even attacked and destroyed one of the celestial gods' hidden temples" he said shocking them "I know this 'cause I was there" he revealed shocking them even more.
"E-EH?! You were there?!" exclaimed Sotaro in disbelief with Erena showing a shocked expression toward their friend.
"How?" questioned Chris.
Koto let out a sigh as he explained "Remember how I underwent some special training program a couple months ago which led me to be accepted into this volunteer activity program for your family company?" he asked his friends, specifically the Sanada siblings.
"Yeah, and you said that you were gonna participate in one of those volunteer activities a couple weeks ago and we haven't heard from you since…" trailed off Sotaro before his and Erena's eyes widened in realization "Wait… you mean…!?" he said before Torahiko spoke.
"Yes… it was merely just a cover up" he said with Koto nodding in confirmation "In actuality, Koto was chosen to become a celestial champion and as well as a candidate for joining the Dimension Guardian Force" he said.
This revelation shocked the three "A celestial champion?! For real?!" asked Sotaro turning to Koto in shock.
Koto merely nodded in reply "Yes and not only that, I managed to get accepted into joining the Dimension Guardian Force" he said "And a couple weeks ago my supposed volunteer activity was my first mission as a new member" he said "It didn't go well though as that new threat showed up and messed up everything" he explained "Reason why you guys haven't heard from me in the last couple weeks is because the team I was assigned to along with myself had to be briefed on what happened that day" he said much to the trio's awe.
"Okay… this is starting to get overwhelming" said Erena holding her head trying to process this revelation.
"So…" said Chris crossing his arms "Considering that you became a celestial champion, what powers did the celestial gods give you?" he asked.
Koto responded by taking out his Sengoku Driver and lockseed from his person (the rider indicator being green with the face of his rider form) and showing it to them, said lockseed had three black bolt-like buttons on the right side and a violet and yellow outlined cover with a small patch of green which made the shape resembling grapes and it had the label "L.S.-07" on it. This was the Budou Lockseed "I'm a kamen rider" he revealed surprising them minus Torahiko.
"EEEHHHH?!" exclaimed Sotaro and Erena in surprise.
"Oh…" said Chris impressed "Did one of the four adventure gods give you that?" he asked crossing his arms.
"Actually…" trailed off Koto scratching his cheek with his finger while glancing towards a certain direction, Sotaro, Erena and Chris followed his gaze revealing to be looking at Torahiko.
"I gave him the driver" he revealed shocking his younger siblings even more.
"You gave Koto-kun his driver!? How?" asked Erena in surprise.
Torahiko let out a sigh "I won't go into too much detail but long story short, Sanada Corporation is one of the benefactors of the Dimension Guardians and we helped in develop the Sengoku Drivers, I was there when Koto was chosen and gave him his driver personally" he explained.
"And as for the lockseed, Tenno was the one who gave it to me" added Koto.
"Hmm… if the celestial gods chose you as one of their champions Kobayashi, then they must've seen something in you considering that you managed to get accepted into one of the Celestial Nexus Patrol Alliance's leading factions" said Chris turning to Koto.
"Yeah, you could say that" he said scratching the back of his neck before sighing "Sadly, I wasn't able to use my rider powers during my first mission" he said "I could've helped that time but due to how powerful the enemy was, I had to stay back and help with evacuating the people at the temple and so many lives were lost…" he said as Sotaro and Erena looked at their friend sadly.
"Hey, it's alright…" said Erena putting a hand on Koto's shoulder in comfort "You did your best" she reassured him.
"She's right Kobayashi and you were originally meant to be part of an escort mission, so there was no telling, that you'd expect a sudden attack from an unknown enemy" he said.
"Yeah, and not only that, you also helped evacuate a lot of people back there, so you practically saved many lives in the end" encouraged Sotaro.
"Sota's right, you should be proud of your achievement and as for those who were lost during that day, you should honor their memory" said Chris also adding his encouragement towards Koto.
Touched by his friends' words of encouragement, Koto took a deep breath and sighed "Thanks guys" he said as Sotaro, Erena and Chris smiled at their friend.
"Anyway, back to the topic at hand" said Torahiko getting everyone's attention "After Koto and his assigned team escaped and briefed the higher ups of what occurred, new orders were relayed from the celestial council and apparently, our gods of adventure will be forming a new team to help assist in fighting off the new threat" he said.
"Whoa, really Nii-san?" asked Sotaro.
"Really" said Koto in confirmation, his friends turning to him "And apparently, it's decided that I'd be one of those transferred to the new team" he said surprising them again "I know… I've only been accepted into the Dimension Guardian Force just recently but Tenno and his fellow adventure gods decided that my powers and skills would be best suited with this new upcoming team and also, I could help out with gathering new members, so here I am" he said.
"And it's the reason why he brought you three here" said Torahiko.
"Wait…" trailed off Sotaro as he gathered his thoughts before realization hit him "You mean that…"
"We're gonna be part of this new team?" asked Chris.
"Indeed" confirmed Torahiko with a nod.
"Wait… if I'm gonna be part of this new team Tora-niisan… what about…?" asked Erena before Torahiko answered before she could finish her question.
"Fear not Erena, you'll still be part of that team, they'll also be joining in" he said.
"Ah, I see" nodded Erena in understanding.
"Huh? What are you taking about Erena?" asked Chris confused making the younger Sanada siblings flinch a bit.
"Uh… well you see…" said Erena trying to explain.
"It's alright Erena, you can tell him since he'll be part of the new team" said Torahiko with reassurance.
Erena sighed in relief as she then turned to Chris "You see, I've been chosen to become the next pink ranger of the Samurai Power Rangers" she revealed surprising the leader of team Knight Rise albeit didn't show it.
"Wait… the samurai power rangers? As in those guys who defended Rising Japan from those strange monsters for generations?" he asked.
"Hai" nodded Sotaro in confirmation "As you already know, there are five rangers and each have their powers passed down to them from the previous generation, usually from parent to child" he explained.
"Wait… so you're saying that the Sanada's are one of the families who've been passing down the legacy of the pink power until now?" asked Chris.
"Not exactly…" said Koto confusing Chris.
"The legacy of the pink samurai ranger came from our mother's side of the family and the previous pink ranger at that time was her older sister, our aunt" explained Erena "And considering that she didn't get married and never had a child after her final battle with the leader of the Nighlok, her power is to be passed down to me and I've been training since I was a little until the time comes" she said.
"I see" nodded Chris in understanding.
"I've also been informed that that time is nearing" said Torahiko getting the four's attention "The Nighlok attacks are getting more frequent and any day now, you'll have to answer their call" he said.
Erena then took out something from her pocket and stared at it. What she took out was a handheld device that took the shape of a black circular emblem with a black top with a silver outline and a pink kanji symbol for "Sky". This was the Turtle FoldingZord in its' standby form or emblem form "So it's almost time… huh?" said Erena.
"Indeed" said Torahiko nodding slowly "There was also word that there's a possibility that the new threat could team up with the Nighlok and that's why we'll need all the help we can get to form this new team" he said as he turned to his younger brother and Chris "Sotaro… Chambers-san…" he said getting their attention "I ask you…" he trailed off as he slowly took out a pair of Sengoku Drivers from his desk and put them on top and in front of them "Will you help?" he asks.
Sotaro and Chris just stood there as they stared at the two Sengoku Drivers in thought.
"You don't have to answer right now" said the CIO "I'll give you some time and once you've made your decision, just-" he said before he was interrupted by Sotaro.
"There's no need Nii-san" he said as he picked up one of the drivers "My mind's already made up" said the younger Sanada brother staring at the driver "After hearing how the entirety of the multiverse is at stake, there's no way I'm gonna stand around and do nothing and if Erena's also joining on, so am I!" he declared with a determined face as his younger sister and Koto smiled.
Torahiko nodded before turning to Chris who was still staring at the other driver sitting on the desk "And what about you Chambers-san?" he asked.
Chris remained silent before he spoke "Why me though?" he asked "I mean I understand Erena and Sotaro… but I'm just a regular guy living an everyday life and getting chosen for a responsibility such as this is… just so sudden" he reasoned.
"I understand your reason for being hesitant" said Torahiko "And it's like I said, just take your time and think about it" he said "Once you're ready and made your decision, return here and tell me your answer" he said.
Closing his eyes and Chris pondered, after a few moments of silence, he took a deep breath and exhaled before opening his eyes and took the driver from the desk "Alright then… I'm in" he said.
Torahiko nodded at Chris' decision while the younger Sanadas and Koto smiled.
"That's great Chris-kun!" said Erena.
"Glad to have you join u-" "But…" spoke Chris interrupting Sotaro in his tracks as the leader of team Knight Rise turned his gaze to the CTO of Sanada Corps. "I have one request- no… I have one condition" he said.
"Eh?/Hmm?" said the Sanada siblings and Koto in confusion as the CTO raised an eyebrow.
"And what condition… is that?" he questioned as Chris told him his condition.
The following day…
We go back to the netherworld where Octoroo stood alone on the rocky planes as he had his eyes closed in meditation. Suddenly, he snapped his eyes open upon hearing a rumbling sound.
"Ooh-ah-ooh! What's that?" he said as he turned to the source of the sound which was coming from the Sanzu river. The elderly cephalopod nighlok had a feeling who it was as he slowly begun to approach the shore "Ooh-ah-ooh~! I've got a lump on my throat, is what I hear the master's boat~?" he said with a hint of excitement as bubbles started to form on the surface of the river before something huge emerged.
Floating on the surface of the Sanzu River was a menacing looking Japanese Junk Ship from ancient times with a single sail that looked like it had seen better days with a skeletal-like design and a menacing lizard-like head ornament at the top of the mast. There were also some skeletal designs on the front as well. This was the flagship of the leader of the Nighloks simply known as Xandred's Junk.
Inside the ship sitting on a corner nearby in a seiza style position and playing a Shamisen was a female humanoid nighlok.
The female nighlok looked like a monstrous version of a Futakuchi-onna with reddish skin, her head being red with the upper part of her face resembling some kind of mask with huge yellow glowing eyes and a blue jewel in between, the back of her head looking like an open mouth with the upper teeth at the top of the back of her head at the tip of it and the lower teeth located just passed her neck at the tip of the upper back, her lower face including her nose the only thing that resembles a human with porcelain white skin and dark blue lips and reddish hands with gold linings on the palms and dark blue finger nails. She was clad in some blue and white robe-like outfit with ribbons of different shades of violet wrapped around her chest and shoulders, parts of her shoulders on resembling teeth and lips, the right shoulder having three gold ring piercings on the lower lip, gold interior robe, gold parts on the sleeves, reddish and dark yellowish thigh and lower leg armor, reddish boots and a blue, white and gold waist cape around her waist and a blue, white and gold cloth hanging in the front of her waist. This female nighlok was another of Master Xandred's followers simply known as Dayu. The shamisen she was playing which she refers to as her Harmonium has a skeletal-like design with a red color scheme with a white surface and three gold strings, three gold itomakis and to play the strings, she used a gold bachi.
Dayu was playing her harmonium serenely when Octoroo boarded the ship and entered the room.
"Hoo… ah, it's good to be onboard again" said Octoroo turning to Dayu "So, Dayu where's the big red one?" he asked her referring to a certain someone but didn't get a response as the Futakuchi-onna nighlok continued playing as if she didn't hear him.
"C'mon! Answer me, just where is that barnacle of a boss?!" he demanded "Where's Master Xandred? Out with it!" he said impatiently.
"Octaroo… I get it… you missed him" said Dayu in an uninterested yet mocking tone.
"Come on! Tell me! Tell me! Please!" begged the elderly nighlok taking a few steps forward "You're the only one who knows, we've been without our leader for so long. We need him back!" he reasoned "Sure, he's mean to me but that's just boss being boss" he added.
"SILENCE, YOU FOOL!" shouted an angry voice as a menacing figure entered the room ripping off the straw curtain in the process "I have a splitting headache this morning! So, zip those lips, unless you wanna spend the rest of your life untying those noodles you call a face!" he threatened.
The menacing figure was a male nighlok with a demonic looking appearance that would instill fear into others. He was very tall and had a very muscular figure, he had red skin, a demonic insectoid-like head with two antennae on either side of his head where ears would be, sharp teeth and six yellow glowing eyes. He also had two pairs of dark bluish-purple menacing looking wing-like appendages, one big pair on his back and one medium pair on the back of his head. He was clad in red and dark bluish-purple demonic looking samurai armor composed of a chestplate, shoulder armor, back armor to protect his wing-like appendages, thigh and hip armor, greaves, boots, bracers and black and red gloves and held on his left hand and resting on his left shoulder was a katana with a menacing looking guard and sheathed in red scabbard. This was the leader and overlord of the Nighloks Master Xandred himself.
"Oo-ah-ooh! You're pretty grumpy for someone talented enough to talk with his mouth closed" said Octoroo as Master Xandred walked past him before the former struck his staff on the ship's floor summoning some Moogers "You two! Quickly! Give him his medicine to ease his neck and noggin" commanded Octoroo.
Master Xandred then sat down on his usual spot on the floor one leg spread forward and the other slightly folded in a relaxing position while he leaned his left elbow against a small stool with his katana held on his hand. A couple of Moogers walked over to Xandred as the latter took a big sakazuki sake cup from one of them before the other one held a bottle and poured into the cup the nighlok overlord's medicine which was a white liquid substance said to ease his headache.
"Hurry up!" demanded Xandred as the Mooger finished pouring before he and the other Mooger left.
"That should help" said Octoroo as Xandred took a big swig of his medicine "You'll be back to normal in no time" said the elder nighlok as Xandred let out a quench-satisfied sigh.
"Feel better?" asked Octoroo.
"Uuugh… I don't even wanna think about what I had to endure thanks to those lousy samurai rangers" said Xandred as he let out a grunt "Good thing I destroyed them all…" he said with a satisfied tone.
Octoroo then felt nervous upon hearing that "Oh… great master Xandred…" he said shuffling to his right while scratching the side of his head with his finger nervously "How should I say this…" he said before turning to his master "I thought you knew about the rangers" he said "They survived" he revealed making Xandred quickly turn to him in shock.
The sound of a shamisen plunking out of tune was heard as Dayu was also surprised by this "Are you joking?" she asked in disbelief.
"WHAT?!" exclaimed Xandred, his anger flaring as he stood up with a growl "THOSE BRATS DEFEATED ME?!" he shouted at Octoroo making the elderly nighlok panic.
"Ooh-ah-ooh! Calm down master!" said Octoroo shakily before they were interrupted when someone boarded the ship.
That someone was a nighlok that had a red upper body with samurai armor composed of chest armor, black and red shoulder armor with the front parts resembling eyes, blue arms and hands, a black and blue orb-like object at the center of his stomach, a blue lower body with a skirt that looks like a face complete with white and black eyes, a blue nose and teeth, a pair of big blue feet and a red head with red tusks and a red samurai kabuto helmet. This was one of Master Xandred's commanders known as Tooya.
"Oh, yeah~, let's get this party started~!" said Tooya upon boarding the ship "I see that master Xandred's back in charge, so let's celebrate!" he said oblivious to his lord's foul mood which he foolishly escalated.
"RAAAAHH!" shouted Xandred slamming his sheathed Katana on the floor causing the whole ship to rock back and forth causing everyone to stumble or fall on the floor minus him "UNBELIEVABLE! How did those brats defeat me!?" he shouted while throwing the sake cup aside.
"Forget celebrating Tooya" said Octoroo "That mouth on your skirt is as bad as Master Xandred's mood hehehehehehehe~" insulted the elder nighlok with a laugh.
"Hey… if anybody here got hit with the ugly stick, it would be you" retorted Tooya leaning onto a part of the ship.
"Listen, the best way to welcome the boss back is to jump into a gap and freak out some humans" said Octoroo.
"Is that right boss?" said Tooya asking for confirmation from his master.
"Do it…" said Xandred as he walked towards the side of the ship as he put a foot on one of the sides and leaned onto his lifted knee "Then I'll make those samurai rangers regret the day they messed with Master Xandred" declared the nighlok overlord looking towards the red sky of the Netherworld.
Location: Somewhere in Tokyo
Time: 3:45PM (Japan Time)
We return to Tokyo where we go to a stadium where a kendo competition was taking place and it was currently the semi-finals as the crowd watched two kendo participants going up against each other showing their skills in the art of kendo.
In one of the rooms where other participants await their turn, we see a young man sitting on one of the chairs. The young man was 18 years old with short neat black hair, fair skin, slim and well-developed muscular build and dark bluish-gray eyes. He was currently clad in a dark blue kendo gi, black hakama pants and a pair of white socks. This young man was Reito "Rei" Toudou, one of the participants of the kendo competition.
Rei had his eyes closed taking deep breaths as he was currently in a meditative state mentally preparing himself for his upcoming match at the semi-finals.
Eversince he was a little boy, Rei loved practicing martial arts, especially the art of the sword including his most loved Japanese sport kendo and he aspired to one day become a world league kendo champion just like his father and as well as his father and his father before, so he trained day and night to sharpen his skills and he was even trained personally by his father to sharpen those skills even further and right now, he awaits his match in the semi-finals, for if he wins this competition, he'll be another step closer to achieving his goal, although at the moment, his mind was at other things right now.
Rei let out a sigh, opening his eyes as he stared at an item held in his hands.
That item was a handheld device that took the shape of a blue hexagonal emblem with a black top with a silver outline and a blue kanji symbol for "Water". This was the Dragon FoldingZord in its' standby form or emblem form.
Rei's family the Toudous were not only a family of Kendo practitioners but also one of the five samurai clans chosen to become part of the samurai power rangers, the Toudous in particular were of the blue ranger lineage. This clan have performed their duty carrying on the legacy of the blue samurai ranger for generations and with every generation, they sharpen their sword skills to its full potential until the time comes to take on their duty as the blue samurai ranger.
Rei stared at his foldingzord as his thoughts wandered back to the moment when his father came and informed him of the news…
~Flashback~
Time: 8AM
We go to a kendo dojo where we see Rei practicing his kendo swings using a bokken as he made a few yells every few swings, he was currently sweating as he'd been prepping himself for the competition since early morning.
Rei then started to catch his breath upon finishing his swings, when he heard the sound of the door opening.
"Reito…" spoke a voice familiar to him as Rei turned to the source of said voice "Tou-san!" he said.
Rei's father Sanjirou Toudou was a man in his early 40s with short combed black hair, fair skin, slim and well-developed muscular build and dark bluish-gray eyes. He wears a white long sleeve button up shirt tucked into a pair of gray pants with a belt, a pair of white socks and black shoes, a wristwatch on his left wrist and a pair of rectangular framed glasses worn over his eyes.
Sanjirou took off his shoes before entering as Rei walked over to his equipment which sat on a corner as he took a towel to wipe off the sweat on his face "I wanted to wish you luck for your final competition" he told his son making him pause and frown in confusion.
"Final competition?" asked Rei turning to his father who walked over to him.
"Jason Takahashi, mentor to the red samurai ranger told me that the time is near" said his father as he took out the dragon foldingzord from his back pocket and presented it to his son.

Subtly surprised, Rei slowly took the foldingzord in his hand "You have always trained with discipline and honor, knowing that it is your destiny to join the power rangers" said Sanjirou as Rei looked up from the foldingzord in his hands to meet his father's gaze "Proudly…" he said with a determined and understanding expression.
"The Toudou clan have fought alongside the Shiba-Tachibana clan for generations along with the other samurai rangers, and now… it is your turn to stand united with them, no matter how great the challenge" Sanjirou told his son "You will not be alone" he said "For there are others who also await the call" he told him as Rei gazed back at the foldingzord in his hand.
~End Flashback~
Rei sighed as he thought while gazing at his foldingzord 'The time is almost near to uphold my duty as the blue ranger… and yet… as I await to be summoned… why do I have wavering feeling within me...?' although Rei aspires to become a kendo champion, he still remembers to uphold his duty as a samurai ranger first when the time comes.
"Toudou-san, it's almost time for your match!" called one of the competition venue's staff.
"Hai!" replied Rei as he put away his foldingzord, now wasn't the time to ponder, for it's time for the young Toudou to prepare for his match as he stood up and proceeded to put on his gear.
Meanwhile, we go to an orphanage that's managed by the Sanada Corporation where we see the siblings Sotaro and Erena Sanada and as well as their friend Koto Kobayashi playing with the children as this is where they work part time during weekends.
Koto was clad in the same attire he wore the day prior while the siblings were now wearing their casual outfits.
Sotaro was now clad in a white long sleeve shirt under a blue t-shirt and an open orange and black windbreaker vest, blue jean pants with a belt, white socks and his white and black trainer shoes.
While Erena was clad in a pink and white striped scoop neck shirt under an open gray hooded cardigan, a pair of dark gray knee-length pants, a pair of white shoes and worn around her neck was a silver pendant necklace.
Sotaro was currently with a group of children playing a game of tag while Koto was with another group of children playing ball catch and Erena was with three children holding hands with two of them as they danced around, inside one of her cardigan's pockets was the Turtle FoldingZord, the same pocket that the third child was currently tugging much to the young Sanada's amusement.
Somewhere else in Tokyo, we go to an arcade where we see three boys occupying one of the games, one of them was playing the game while his two friends were watching and cheering him on.
The boy who was playing the game was a young man about 17 years old with short messy brown hair, fair skin, slim build and dark green eyes. He was currently wearing a dark green t-shirt under an open brown bomber jacket, gray jean pants with a belt and a silver chain attached to his pants from the left side going towards the back, white socks and a pair of black and white sneakers. This was Takeshi Morikawa, attached to the back of his pants on the left side next to the chain was a handheld device that took the shape of a green square emblem with a black top with a silver outline and a green kanji symbol for "Wood". This was the Bear FoldingZord in its' standby form or emblem form and it's also proof that he's to become the green samurai ranger just like his father and those before him.
He was currently dominating the game as he was nearing the end of the current stage "Yoshaaa! I own this game!" declared Takeshi completing the stage as he gained a high score while his friends congratulated him.
In a countryside near Tokyo, we go to a modern farmhouse where we see a young girl sitting on the foot of the porch playing the flute.
The girl was a young woman about 17 years old with long wavy shoulder length chocolate brown hair with strands of her hair held in a half-up fishtail braid with a small yellow ribbon tied to it in a bow, fair skin, well slim build, medium bust and bluish gray eyes. She was wearing a yellow shirt under a white button up cardigan, blue jean pants and gray slip-on shoes.
Around her neck attached to a black string was a handheld device that took the shape of a yellow triangular emblem with a black top with a silver outline and a yellow kanji symbol for "Earth". This was the Ape FoldingZord in its' standby form or emblem form.
This young woman was Yunoha Izumi, the next in line of the Izumi clan to become the yellow samurai ranger.
Yunoha was currently playing her flute as she enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere of her home.
"Your music is always so soothing Yuno-oneechan" spoke a voice behind her.
Yunoha stopped playing her flute and turned behind her to see a young woman about the same age as her.
She had long wavy shoulder length chocolate brown hair held in a ponytail by a small white ribbon, fair skin, well slim build, medium bust and bluish gray eyes, if you looked closely, she looked almost exactly like Yunoha, the only difference being her hairstyle. This was Yunoha's younger twin sister Misaki Izumi. She was wearing a pink v-neck shirt under a light gray open zipper hoodie with white chords, blue jean pants with a belt, white socks and white running shoes with pink shoelaces.
"Ah, Misa-chan!" said Yunoha happy to see her sister "Wanna come join me?" she asked.
"Hai!" replied Misaki with a smile as she went over and sat next to her twin sister on the foot of the porch as Yunoha proceeded to play the flute once again as Misaki closed her eyes and listened to the serene melody.

Back at the city, the people of Rising Japan were going on about their usual routine when suddenly from the walls of a nearby building, red light started to glow from the gaps as the nighlok Tooya along with a squad of Moogers crawled out of the gaps, weapons in hand, the lead nighlok wielding dual short swords.
"Moogers~! Get 'em!" commanded Tooya as the Moogers charged in and attacked the citizens causing panic among the streets as the monsters of the netherworld flipped tables, destroyed public property and even injure those who're unfortunate enough to get caught in their way, little did the nighlok know, the moment they went through the gaps, they set off a hidden laser alarm belonging to the Shiba-Tachibana clan alerting them.
We now go to a Japanese style two story mansion that had a mix of traditional and modern theme to it and it had areas with gardens and even some training areas and it was surrounded by a wall with three gates on it and what stood out about the mansion was the crest of the Shiba-Tachibana clan located at the center of each of the three gates and on either side of each gate was the Shiba symbol. This was one of the estates owned by the Shiba-Tachibana clan which serves as the Samurai Power Rangers' base of operations and it is here where we join the red ranger Suzume sitting on the porch of one of the outdoor training areas.
She was currently relaxing with her Lion FoldingZord partner perched on her hand as it let out a few gentle growls and a small roar when her mentor Jason Takahashi came walking in with an urgent look on his face while carrying a Japanese Yumi Bow and a sheath containing four different colored arrows.
"Suzume!" called Jason walking quickly towards his student "We have a situation!" he said getting her attention.
"Sensei, what is it?" asked Suzume noticing her sensei's urgent tone.
"Master Xandred must've awakened" he informed her as Suzume was now in high alert as she folded her zord back to its' standby mode "A new breed of nighlok more powerful than ordinary moogers have mobilized" he told her "You cannot wait any longer, the time has come to summon your team of samurai rangers" he told her as she stood up from her seat.
"Are you sure I'm ready to lead sensei?" asked Suzume.
"One samurai is strong… but a team is unbeatable." said Jason, but as the Takahashi mentor took notice of his student's subtle doubt, he then spoke "Just remember your father's words… as he left for his final battle"
Upon hearing that, Suzume pondered as she wandered back to that day, when she last saw her father…
~Flashback~
12 years ago…
We open to the past where it was currently evening in the Samurai Rangers' base as we see a five year old Suzume standing at the porch in front of her father Haruki Shiba-Tachibana who was a young man in his mid20s with short light brown hair, fair skin, slim and average build and orange eyes. He was clad in his red samurai ranger form which is the male variant which is the same as Suzume in the present minus the skirt revealing the black part of the spandex having a red upside-down triangle on either hips. He was currently without his helmet as spoke to his daughter.
"This is to be yours" Haruki told his daughter presenting to her the Lion FoldingZord "One day, the great responsibility of being the red ranger will fall onto you" he said as young Suzume looked at the foldingzord "Remember…" said Haruki getting his daughter's attention "Protect the world from evil" he said before turning to a young Jason in his early 40s who stood behind Suzume's right "Stand by your allies…" he said as Jason nodded before the previous red ranger turned back to his daughter "Never run from a battle" he said as young Suzume nodded before receiving the foldingzord as Jason put a hand on the young red ranger successor's shoulder in reassurance.
"Anata…" spoke a worried voice as Haruki stood up and looked to the one who stood behind Suzume's left.
It was a young woman in her early 20s of American descent with long silky light brown hair that reaches just past her shoulders, fair skin, slim build, ample bust and dark brown eyes. This was Haruki's wife and Suzume's mother Ellen Shiba-Tachibana. She was currently wearing a white and red kimono with a red obi sash tied around her waist in a ribbon at the back, white socks and black sandals and held in her arms was a four year old child, a boy with brown hair and orange eyes, this was their son and Suzume's younger brother Alan Shiba-Tachibana.
Upon seeing his wife's worried expression, Haruki gave a gentle smile as he caressed his wife's cheek in reassurance as Ellen closed her eyes and held her husband's gloved hand with her free hand as she felt his warmth "Everything's gonna be alright Ellen" he assured his wife.
Ellen let out a sigh "I wish I could help…" she said opening her eyes with a sad expression as she put her hand out of Haruki's gloved hand and held onto an item that was attached to a black string worn around her neck. That item was what looked like some kind of small red colored key resembling some knight with a gold sword, silver chest, silver visor and a shield with a red and black color scheme with a white zigzag design and a silver-colored dinosaur head design on it.
"I know…" said Haruki also showing a sad expression "But your duty right now is to keep the children safe" he told her as Ellen nodded in understanding as she looked to her husband "Will you be back?" she asked.
"I will" nodded Haruki "I'll always come back" he reassured.
"Daddy?" said Alan getting his father's attention as Haruki smiled at his youngest "Don't you worry buddy…" he said ruffling his son's head gently "Daddy will come back" he told him.
"You promise?" asked Ellen as Haruki then gently caressed his wife's cheek and leaned onto each other's forehead closing their eyes "I promise" he swore as they shared one last kiss, he then kissed his son goodbye on the forehead and then gave Suzume one last hug in which she returned and was given a kiss to the forehead as well before he stood up and put on his helmet.
"Master Xandred's on the move!" said a young Sanjirou Toudou in his early 30s and in his ranger form as he and the other rangers gathered and looked towards the city that was on fire due to an attack from Master Xandred, he and the others then turned to Haruki "C'mon Haruki, we got to go!" he told him as Haruki nodded.
"Samurai Rangers, let's finish this!" said Haruki as he ran to his team while young Suzume looked towards the foldingzord in her hand as her father left with his team for their final battle against Master Xandred.
~End Flashback~
Back to the present, Suzume continued to gaze at her foldingzord before closing her eyes as she took a deep breath and exhaled "You're right sensei… I'll never forget his last words…" she said as she snapped her eyes open, now with a determined expression "I must not fail!" she said facing Jason "I. Am. The red ranger!" she declared her resolve.
Jason smiled as he nodded "The other rangers have spent their whole lives preparing to fulfil their samurai destinies" he told her "Now, fulfil your destiny… to lead them" he said as Suzume nodded with a smile accepting her role as leader.
Jason nodded proudly before proceeding to pull out a colored arrow containing a piece of paper containing the message to summon the other samurai rangers and one by one, fastened them into the bow, aimed skywards and fired the arrows into the air as each arrow launched disappeared into the sky and towards their assigned destination.

With Takeshi, he was walking around a small park area in the city as he unwrapped a burger he just bought for a snack "Itadakimasu!" he said happily but just when he was about to take a bite, an arrow with a green hane fletching came flying out of nowhere and pierced through his burger leaving the wrapper in his hand and stuck itself to the ground together with his snack.
"Nani?!" exclaimed Takeshi in surprise looking at the arrow that had his snack before noticing the paper with the Shiba symbol tied to the arrow as his eyes widened in realization.
At the orphanage, Erena was playing ring around the rose with three of the children when all of a sudden…
*THUNK!*
She stopped and saw an arrow with a pink hane fletching stuck to one of the wooden posts and it contained a piece of paper with the Shiba symbol tied to it.
Sotaro and Koto took notice of it as well as all three of them knew what that meant.
Back at the Izumi twins' home, the twins continued to enjoy the peace and quiet when an arrow with a yellow hane fletching came flying outta nowhere and stuck itself onto a nearby stack of hay.
"Nani?!" exclaimed Misaki as she and Yunoha stood up, the latter went over to the stack of hay and pulled off the arrow.
"Yuno-oneechan, is that…?" asked Misaki as her older twin turned to her and showed that the arrow had a piece of paper tied to it and it had the Shiba symbol on it.
The twin siblings gazed at one another and Yunoha gave her sister a look that only she could understand and Misaki nodded to her in response with an understanding expression.
At the kendo tournament semi-finals, it was now Rei's match as he was now barefooted and clad in his kendo gear AKA Bogu or Kendogu composed of a Men masked helmet protecting his head, neck and shoulders, Kote mitten gloves, Dou chest protector and Tare hip and lower front protectors and held on his left hand was his kendo shinai.
The opponent he was facing was clad in the same gear as him but their kendo gi was white.
Both opponents stepped onto the dueling area, held up their shinai and went on one knee with their shinai still held up before the referee gave the signal as they stood up again as their match began.
But before any of them could make a move, an arrow with a blue hane fletching came flying outta nowhere and landed outside the dueling area with a *THUNK!*. This got Rei's attention as he turned away from his opponent and saw the arrow that had a piece of paper with the Shiba symbol tied to it.
Near the audience, Sanjirou who wore a black blazer jacket over his attire saw the arrow as he stood up from his seat and looked towards his son, knowing what this means.
Glancing between the arrow and his opponent, Rei pondered on what he should do. He closed his eyes and pondered before he snapped them open with a determined expression behind his helmet.
Back at the Samurai Ranger HQ, Jason and Suzume entered the base as the former went over to the living room area where he went on one knee and opened a secret compartment on the floor revealing four Samuraizers.
"I've been saving these for you when your ready" Jason told Suzume as the latter looked at the four morphing devices "Take them" he said "Your fellow samurai rangers are on their way" he told her.
At the Kendo competition, everyone looked on in shock and confusion as Rei left the dueling area and discarded his mask, mittens and shinai and picked up his shoes, ran past his father after sharing a short glance before running towards the exit, the Toudou patriarch watched on proudly.
Back at the dueling area, Rei's opponent watched on in disbelief as they removed their helmet revealing to be a girl about a year younger than him. She had short black hair in a hime style cut with two pairs of gray hairpins attached on either side of her hair framing her face, fair skin, slim build, big bust that's hidden within her chest armor and dark gray eyes that almost look blackish. This was Suguha Kirigaya.
"Did… did he just forfeit the match?!" questioned Suguha bewildered with shock and confusion as she watched Rei leave the exit.
Somewhere else in the audience, a certain someone watched Rei leave the building as they hummed in wonder.
At the orphanage, Erena held up her turtle foldingzord gazing at it in anticipation as she looked up and saw a black car containing the Shiba symbol arrive at the gates of the orphanage, the driver opening the passenger seat door.
She looked back towards Sotaro and Koto who nodded wishing her luck, Erena nodded before she headed towards the car and got in before it proceeded to head off towards the battle.
With Takeshi, he looked at his bear foldingzord before looking straight ahead, after pondering for a moment, he nodded before running towards the battle nearby.
"Hai!" said Misaki as she helped her sister put on a backpack that contained the necessary stuff for her journey as Yunoha held the ape foldingzord (which is still hung around her neck) in her hand.
Yunoha looked up to see her sister in front of her as Misaki gave her a reassuring smile as she nodded to her.
Yunoha nodded back as the two wrapped their arms around one another in an embrace "Good luck out there, sis" said Misaki.
"I know…" said Yunoha softly "I'll make all of you proud…" she said "You… mama… papa… and even Onee-chan" she said.
"I know you will…" said Misaki "She'd be happy to hear it too…" she added.
The twins separated from their embrace, shared one last nod to one another before Yunoha headed off towards the city while Misaki watched as her sister left.
"It's not just you though Yuno-oneechan…" muttered Misaki crossing her arms "I'll be joining you in the fight very soon… and we'll both make everyone in the family proud…" she said cryptically as she watched her sister disappear from view.
*Beep…! Beep…! Beep…! Beep!*
Upon hearing a beeping sound, Misaki rolled her left sleeve slightly revealing a wrist communicator device, it was round with one button on the l left side, two on the right side, a rotating ring with intricate symbols two buttons at the top and bottom areas within the ring and at the center was a blank screen. Misaki then pressed one of the buttons of her communicator answering it "Hai! Misaki here" she said.
"Misaki, Solon says that you should head over to base as fast as you can, apparently, it's about to start" spoke a male voice who was apparently one of Misaki's friends.
"Copy that, I'll be right over in a sec, just had to say goodbye to my sister" she said before hanging up, she then turned the ring on her communicator before pressing the button below the screen as her whole body was surrounded by a shimmering aura and as well as streams of white light before she disappeared.
Returning back to the moment with Jason and Suzume, the latter nodded as she proceeded to pick up the four Samuraizers "I'm ready to lead sensei" she said.
Suzume was now seen exiting the doors of the mansion carrying a bag that now contains the four morphers, she then took out her own Samuraizer and switched it to brush mode as the tip of said brush glowed red.
"Symbol Power…!" said Suzume holding up her Samuraizer to her left shoulder before pointing it forward and wrote a red energy kanji symbol for "Horse" "Horse!" she said as she swung her morpher across the energy kanji making it spin around towards the ground that led to the gates before it materialized a white horse clad in red cloth décor containing fire kanjis and the Shiba Symbol on its' back and rear, a brown saddle and a red bridle on its' snout. This was Suzume's horse mount companion Guren.
"Lady Suzume's taking the field!" declared Jason as the gates of the mansion opened and a few Kuroko rushed outside and stood aligned on either side of the open gates holding up white banners containing both the Shiba symbol and the Shiba-Tachibana symbol on them.
After Suzume strapped the bag to Guren's saddle, she mounted her horse mount as she looked towards her sensei.
"Never forget the mission of the samurai ranger!" said Jason as Suzume pulled the reins on her horse directing him towards the open gates "Be brave, work together and no matter what… don't ever give up"
"Hai!" With her sensei's last words of advice, Suzume left off on Guren as she rode past the gates and towards the battle "Samurai Forever!" she cried out.
Jason watched on with a smile as Suzume left "If only you were here right now Haruki… you would've been proud to see her carry out her duty… just like you before her…" he said.

Back to the city, chaos was going on about as the nighlok continued to cause havoc and chaos among the populace.
"Those lame-brain rangers should've been here by now…" said Tooya with a scoff as he was beginning to get impatient with waiting for the samurai rangers to show up.
"Maybe this will get their attention!" said the lead nighlok as he held up his dual swords and ran past a few cars while swinging his blades through them.
"Hooyah!" exclaimed Tooya in glee as the cars split in two and exploded.
Nearby the area (where it was emitting smoke thanks to the chaos caused by the nighlok), we see a black car with the Shiba symbol on the side driving towards the battle when a certain someone who was also headed towards the battle saw it.
"The Shiba emblem!" exclaimed Rei (who now wore his shoes) upon seeing said Emblem as he raised his hands up "Wait! Matte!" he called loudly getting the driver's attention who stopped the car.
Rei went over to the car and stopped in front of the window of the right-side passenger door "I'm Rei Toudou, I'm here to fight with you!" declared the young Toudou bowing his head in resolve while putting his fist to his left side.
But then the window opened to reveal none other than Erena.
Upon seeing her, Rei looked on with a surprised expression but only for a few moments "Oh! Uh… gomen" he said as he stepped back a bit "I didn't know that the red ranger was a girl" he said.
"Iie" said Erena shaking her head as she got out of the car "I'm not the red ranger" she said "I'm the pink ranger" she clarified "My name's Erena, Erena Sanada" she introduced herself to Rei.
Just then, Yunoha came and stopped in front of the two "Hi, I'm Yunoha" she said introducing herself before turning to Rei "Are you the red ranger?" she asked him.
"Oh, uh, no, I'm the blue ranger" corrected Rei.
"Oh…" said Yunoha in surprise when Takeshi came walking in from behind her.
"So… you must be by fellow samurai" said Takeshi, grinning with a tone of confidence and his hands in his pockets getting the three's attention "I'm Takeshi" he said introducing himself.
"Are you the red ranger?" questioned Rei.
"Iya, I'm the mighty green ranger!" corrected Takeshi with a frown and just when he was about to speak further, the four heard the sound of a horse's cry.

They turned to see the arrival of none other than Suzume Shiba-Tachibana on her horse Guren as said horse stopped in front of them before letting out one last loud neigh much to everyone's awe.
"Whoa…" said Yunoha voicing out hers and just about everyone else's awe.
"With an entrance like that, you have to be the red ranger, right?" questioned Takeshi as everyone else continued to look on in awe.
"Hai!" nodded Suzume as she showed everyone her Lion FoldingZord "I'm Suzume, Suzume Shiba-Tachibana. And I am the red ranger" she said confirming her identity to the team much to their awe.
'So, the red ranger really is a girl' thought Rei in surprise and awe before he spoke up "We're your team of samurai!" declared the young Toudou putting his right fist to his left side in respect towards Suzume.
Suzume lowered foldingzord in her hand as she spoke "Let me warn you now…" she said as the four listened "If you follow me, there's no turning back" she warned "Either we defeat the nighlok together… or they'll take over the world" she said.
"I will give these only to those who're ready to accept the challenge" she said presenting her samuraizer to the four before dismounting her horse "Do not accept only because you were trained to do so…" she said as she approached them "But only if you're willing to commit and fight as samurai rangers with all your heart" she told them.
This made the four ponder in their thoughts as they thought back, Rei was the first to answer as he clenched his fist with resolve "Without hesitation!" he said his answer.
"I've been planning this since I was little, so yes!" said Erena giving her answer.
"I'm ready to give it all I got!" said Yunoha also giving her answer with a smile.
"Okay, okay, do we have to be so formal?" said Takeshi stepping forward "Let's do this thing!" he said giving his answer with a challenging smile.
Suzume smiled as she nodded before going back to Guren and opened the bag and took out the four samuraizers and tossed one to each of them as all four caught their new samuraizers.
"Alright then, let's go!" said Suzume "But before that…" she trailed off as she put her index finger and thumb to her mouth and blew into them, letting out a loud whistle.

And all of a sudden, a group of Kuroko appeared, surrounding all of them with white jinmaku curtains both with the Shiba and Shiba-Tachibana emblems.
"Eh?" said the four looking at the Kuroko surrounding them.
"Whoa! What's going on? Who are these guys?" questioned Takeshi in confusion.
Before they could process what's happening, some of the Kuroko approached them and started to grab them.
"Hey, hands off!" said Takeshi trying to resist.
"Chotto, matte!" exclaimed Rei.
"Oi, matte! Matte! Hold on a sec!" exclaimed Erena.
"DO SHITA NOOOOOO!? (WHAT'S GOING OOOOOOONNNNN!?)" exclaimed Yunoha extremely confused and overwhelmed.
Suzume just chuckled in amusement as she calmly stood in place and allowed the Kuroko to prepare her and her team for the battle against the nighlok while some of the other Kuroko took care of Guren.
Back at the city, the people continued running from the nighlok as Moogers appeared and attempted to catch them.
"Ha, ha, ha… C'mon~ down~!" said Tooya as he watched an unfortunate civilian come rolling down the stairs until he was now in front of the nighlok commander's feet.
The civilian looked up and screamed in fear upon seeing Tooya "Time to say bye, bye!" he said raising up one of his blades just about ready to kill him.
"That's enough!" shouted a voice.
"Eh?" said Tooya as he looked up towards the top of the stairs, his distraction allowing the civilian to escape.
Up at the top of the stairs, some Kuroko appeared at held up banners with the Shiba symbol and Shiba-Tachibana symbol.
"Well, it's about time…" said Tooya upon seeing the banners with the two crests on them as he witnessed a group of five walking towards the top of the stairs and gazing down at Tooya and the Moogers, those group of five were none other than Suzume and her team.
They were now clad in black gi with a white outline of the Shiba symbol located on the left pectoral area, black hakama pants, black socks and black sandals and to differentiate each of them, they had hints of different colors on their outfits located on the neck areas and tip of the sleeves of their gis and the waist areas of their hakamas: Suzume had hints of red, Rei had hints of blue, Erena hints of pink, Takeshi hints of green and Yunoha had hints of yellow. They all stood side by side as Kuroko came running behind them with a white jinmaku curtain for their background.
Upon seeing them, Tooya frowned (if he had a face that could show it that is) unimpressed, "Ugh, c'mon! Who are you punks?!" he demanded pointing one of his blades at them.
"We're the Samurai Rangers!" said Suzume "And we're gonna end your terror, nighlok!" she declared.
"Samuraizers!" called out Suzume as she and her team took out said devices and flipped them open as they activated, their phone screens turning on showing black screens with different kanji symbols in their respective colors: Suzume's was a red fire kanji, Rei's a blue water kanji, Erena, a pink sky kanji, Takeshi, green forest kanji and Yunoha had a yellow earth kanji.

All of them then folded their phones sideways switching them to brush mode before holding them to their left shoulders "Go! Go! Samurai!" they said before pointing their Samuraizers forward and wrote their respective elemental kanji symbols and with a shout of "HA!", they flipped their respective written symbols in a reverse view and thus the transformation began…
-Morphing Sequence-
The five now found themselves in separate individual areas in their respective colors with floating energy kanji symbols of their respective elements and colors surrounding them.
It was here that they switched their Samuraizers back to phone mode and pressed the center gold button activating it as a colored energy kanji of their respective element appeared in front of them.
They then swung their arms back as energy kanji surrounded them before it revealed them in the same getups that they currently wear but with an addition of a black mask covering all but their eyes with an outline of their respective color around the vision area of their mask and a silver hexagon shaped forehead protector with their respective color and elemental kanji on them.
They were soon surrounded in energy kanji again before revealing them in their ranger forms minus their helmets.
And then their spin swords came flying towards them from their right as they caught them by the handle, they then sheathed their swords on the sword holders similarly to how they traditionally sheath a katana on their left before their respective elemental kanjis went in front of their masked faces before transforming into their helmets.
The five then opened the buckle of their belts, took out their samurai power discs and attached it to their spin swords before unsheathing them.
"Samurai Ranger Ready!" they all said getting into a pose.
Once the transformation was complete, in the place of the group were five individuals with spin swords in hand.
At the Center was Suzume now the Red Samurai Ranger.
To her left where Rei was, in his place was a male figure clad in blue and black spandex with the top part being blue with a black and white accented Y-shaped stripe in the middle of the chest as if the figure was wearing a gi, white neck collar, a gold and black outlined Shiba symbol on the upper left pectoral area, the lower part of the spandex being black with blue upside down triangles on the hips, a gold belt around the waist with a black and red accented pouch containing the Samuraizer strapped on the right side of the belt, a gold circular buckle with a circle and upside down fan-like sigil on the buckle and a gold sword holder at the left side of the belt, a pair of white and black ringed forearm gloves, a pair of blue and black ringed boots that reach just below the knees and finally worn on the figure's head was a blue helmet with a blue mouthguard and a huge black and white accented visor resembling the kanji symbol for "Water". Rei had become the Blue Samurai Ranger.
To the blue ranger's left where Yunoha was, in place was a female figure clad in yellow and black spandex with the top part being yellow with a black and white accented Y-shaped stripe in the middle of the chest as if the figure was wearing a gi, white neck collar, a gold and black outlined Shiba symbol on the upper left pectoral area, the lower part of the spandex being black under a yellow skirt with black upside down triangles on the hips, a gold belt around the waist with a black and red accented pouch containing the Samuraizer strapped on the right side of the belt, a gold circular buckle with a circle and upside down fan-like sigil on the buckle and a gold sword holder at the left side of the belt, a pair of white and black ringed forearm gloves, a pair of yellow and black ringed boots that reach just below the knees and finally worn on the figure's head was a yellow helmet with a yellow mouthguard and a huge black and white accented visor resembling the kanji symbol for "Earth". Yunoha had become the Yellow Samurai Ranger.
To the Red Ranger's left where Takeshi was, in place was a male figure clad in green and black spandex with the top part being green with a black and white accented Y-shaped stripe in the middle of the chest as if the figure was wearing a gi, white neck collar, a gold and black outlined Shiba symbol on the upper left pectoral area, the lower part of the spandex being black with green upside down triangles on the hips, a gold belt around the waist with a black and red accented pouch containing the Samuraizer strapped on the right side of the belt, a gold circular buckle with a circle and upside down fan-like sigil on the buckle and a gold sword holder at the left side of the belt, a pair of white and black ringed forearm gloves, a pair of green and black ringed boots that reach just below the knees and finally worn on the figure's head was a green helmet with a green mouthguard and a huge black and white accented visor resembling the kanji symbol for "Wood". Takeshi had become the Green Samurai Ranger.
And finally, to the Green Ranger's left where Erena was, in place was a female figure clad in pink and black spandex with the top part being pink with a black and white accented Y-shaped stripe in the middle of the chest as if the figure was wearing a gi, white neck collar, a gold and black outlined Shiba symbol on the upper left pectoral area, the lower part of the spandex being black under a pink skirt with black upside down triangles on the hips, a gold belt around the waist with a black and red accented pouch containing the Samuraizer strapped on the right side of the belt, a gold circular buckle with a circle and upside down fan-like sigil on the buckle and a gold sword holder at the left side of the belt, a pair of white and black ringed forearm gloves, a pair of pink and black ringed boots that reach just below the knees and finally worn on the figure's head was a pink helmet with a pink mouthguard and a huge black and white accented visor resembling the kanji symbol for "Sky". Erena had become the Pink Samurai Ranger.
And together, they are Samurai Power Rangers.
The five twirled their spin swords and got into ready stances "Rangers together!" they said doing a unison downwards slash with a shout "Samurai forever!" they said getting into a group pose.

"Moogers~! Get 'em!" commanded Tooya as the Moogers charged towards the samurai rangers, the five rangers charging forward as well towards their adversaries with a yell as both sides clashed as the sound of steel against steel echoed on the field.
As they fought, they soon found themselves in a different location in the city.
Blue Samurai Ranger ran towards a group of Moogers as he swung his sword striking two of them when they attempted to attack him "Watch out!" warned Blue Samurai Ranger as he dodged a strike from one of them before doing a 180 slash on another "I'm gonna fillet all of you fish faces to sushi!" taunted the blue ranger as he did a couple more swings from left to right followed by an upwards swing tripping the next unfortunate Mooger before kicking it with a yell, sending it rolling away while simultaneously blocking two Moogers' unison attack on either side during their mid-swings before pushing them back making them stumble only to receive a double sword slash from the blue ranger.
With the Yellow Samurai Ranger, she was dealing with her own group of Moogers, she was able to deal with them no problem as she struck two of them "Hehe! This is just like chopping down weeds back home!" she mused while striking another Mooger unfortunate enough get close to her before another Mooger came and swung his blade at her only for the yellow ranger to block it putting them on a sword lock as the latter started to push her back, only for the yellow ranger to grab the Mooger by the sword hand with her free hand and pushed it allowing her to strike it in the back making it stumble forward, the Yellow turned to her right to see another Mooger climbing up the stairs next to her and attempted to swing it's sword at her only for her to parry and retaliate with a downwards slash causing the Mooger to fall back and tumble down the stairs.
With the Green Samurai Ranger, he was dealing with his own group of Moogers as he did a few one-handed sword swings here and there as he struck one Mooger only for the green rangers to trip and fall to the floor on his stomach, he immediately acted fast and rolled to his left making him lie on his back only to see a Mooger above him ready to strike him where he layed "Oh, wow!" said the green ranger as he swung his sword managing to strike the Mooger at the last second before he managed to jump back on his feet "I sure am getting my workout for the day!" he mused as he fluently dodged some of the Moogers' attacks before striking two more with his single-handed sword swings.
With the Pink Samurai Ranger, she was also dealing with her share of Moogers as she jumped up high and with a yell, did a downwards slash at one Mooger before following up with a spin slash "Did anyone order a chopped Mooger Salad?!" joked the pink ranger as she sent a number of sword slashes at more Moogers.
With the Red Samurai Ranger, she was fighting her own Moogers as she was easily mopping the floor with them "Ha! Is this the best you can do?" taunted the red ranger striking two Moogers with finesse.
Suddenly, Red Samurai Ranger took notice of the Moogers surrounding her retreating before she saw another group of Moogers wielding red bows themed similarly to their red appendages lined up in a group and notched arrows onto their bows and pointed them towards her direction before releasing a volley of arrows.
"Whoa!" exclaimed the red ranger as she parried and dodged the arrows using her spin sword and quick reaction time. The Moogers continued on with their arrow volley as the red ranger continued her retaliation as she managed to catch one arrow with her hand "Close one" she said.
The Moogers were about to unleash another Volley only for Blue Samurai Ranger to appear and take down the archers swinging his spin sword at them disrupting their formation "Suzume!" exclaimed the blue ranger as he went over to his leader after taking care of them.
"Whoa, there's dozens of them!" said Yellow Samurai Ranger after taking down another Mooger before regrouping with the others as the Samurai Rangers were now indeed surrounded by dozens of Mooger.
"Yes, but despite the odds against us, I'm sure we can take them all down!" said Blue Samurai Ranger determined while Red Ranger threw away the arrow.
"But they just keep coming" reasoned Pink Samurai Ranger.
"No need to fear, I can help you" reassured the blue ranger getting into a stance.
"Guys!" said Red Samurai Ranger getting the other rangers' attention "We can do this… together!" she said as her teammates nodded.

"Let's switch weapons!" she said holding up her spin sword before spinning the disc as the diamond showed reflections of the samurai disk which is the Shiba symbol as it showed it spinning before it glowed a red before becoming a bright white light as it engulfed the spin sword.
Red Samurai Ranger swung her spin sword with both hands to her right before getting into a ready stance as her sword began to change shape.
"Fire Smasher!" announced Red Samurai Ranger as her sword changed into said weapon. The Fire Smasher took the form of an advanced looking Zanbato with a huge blade with the blade's body having an intricate design with a color scheme of red, black, white and gold with a fire kanji at the top part of the blade, a white cloud shaped piece at the back of the lower part of the blade with a red dot, a silver blade edge, what looks like a white folded handle at the body of the blade near the handle, a long red handle with a gold part and a gold outlined Shiba symbol at the top of the handle and a white peg where a power disc can be inserted.
Red Samurai Ranger opened her belt and took out the Lion Power Disc and inserted it into the Fire Smasher's peg as it powered up.
The other rangers looked on in awe and surprise upon seeing their leader lift up something twice her size.
"Everyone, get down!" Red Samurai Ranger warned as she swung back her huge weapon as the four did so before swinging her weapon forward with a shout sending a few Moogers in front of them flying.
Red Samurai Ranger then hefted her weapon on her shoulder before charging forward.
"What's she doing?!" exclaimed Blue Samurai Ranger as he and the rest watched their leader run towards the waiting army of Moogers.
"Ha!" shouted Red Samurai Ranger lunging her huge weapon forward stabbing a Mooger in the process, she then took notice of other Moogers surrounding her making her smirk behind her helmet "Have a nice flight!" she shouted as she swung her Fire Smasher around sending several Moogers surrounding her flying, she then followed up with a number of heavy swings sending a large number of Moogers flying as if they were nothing.
The others looked on in awe "Sugoi, Suzume-chan's incredible!" said Yellow Samurai Ranger.
"Yeah, she sure can handle that huge blade of hers despite her size and stature" commented Green Samurai Ranger.
"I see that, but there's too many of them" pointed out Blue Samurai Ranger getting their attention "C'mon! We gotta help her out!" he said.
"Hai!" nodded Pink Samurai Ranger with Yellow Samurai Ranger nodding as well.
"Let's do it!" said Green Samurai Ranger as the four charged forward to help their leader.
With Blue Samurai Ranger, he swung his spin sword at a few Moogers while making some space before he spun the Samurai Disc of his spin sword as the diamond glowed blue before turning to a bright white light engulfing the sword.
Blue Samurai Ranger switched his hold of his spin sword to his left hand before it changed shape.
"Hydro Bow!" announced Blue Samurai Ranger as his sword changed into said weapon. The Hydro Bow took the form of a blue and silver modernized Yumi Bow with hints of yellow and it had a pump and sling propulsion system with a silver triangle shaped handle at the pump system, a yellow Shiba symbol at the side of the propulsion area, a blue and silver bow grip guard shaped like the kanji symbol for water with a silver nozzle at the front where water arrows would be released and a silver peg where a power disc can be inserted.
Blue Samurai Ranger opened his belt buckle revealing a new power disc. This one being blue with black silhouetted pictures of the Dragon FoldingZord, this was the Dragon Disc.
He took out the dragon disc as it expanded before attaching it to the peg powering up the Hydro Bow.
Blue Samurai Ranger faced the Moogers as he blocked an incoming downward swing from a Mooger with his Hydro Bow before his spun his body away causing the Mooger to tumble down before the blue ranger swung his weapon at another Mooger parrying its' swing, followed by blocking another attempted swing from another Mooger before retaliating with a crouching sweep of his bow tripping the Mooger, he then rolled away avoiding a surprise attack from another Mooger before getting back to his feet, he then faced the Moogers and pulled the pump handle of his bow, he took aim as the nozzle of the modernized bow was surrounded with blue hydro energy before it gathered into the nozzle as it glowed blue "Targets locked!" he said "Hydro Barrage!" he shouted while releasing the handle pump as the bow unleashed a barrage of blue water energy arrows at the Moogers taking them down in an explosion.
"Bullseye!" said Blue Samurai Ranger.
With Pink Samurai Ranger, she was facing another group of Moogers as she spun the disc on her spin sword as the diamond glowed pink before turning to a bright white light engulfing the sword.
She swung her sword to the right before holding it to her left as she held it with both hands as it changed shape.
"Sky Fan!" announced Pink Samurai Ranger as her spin sword changed into said weapon. The Sky Fan took the form of an oversized Tessen war fan with the fan being pink with the middle part of the body being white with a gold Shiba symbol on it, a pink handle with a silver bottom, a decorative gold tassel at the bottom, a pink sky kanji in between the fan body and the handle with a peg behind it where a power disc can be inserted.
Pink Samurai Ranger opened her belt buckle revealing a new power disc. This one being pink with black silhouetted pictures of the Turtle FoldingZord, this was the Turtle Disc.
She took the turtle disc as it expanded before attaching it to the peg of the Sky Fan as it powered up.
Pink Samurai Ranger then began to swing her Sky Fan around sending gusts of pink wind energy as she moved forward with elegance and grace parrying every attack from any Mooger that got in her way making them stumble due to the gusts of wind the pink ranger was sending. She was soon surrounded as she blocked one Mooger's attack before pushing it away and swung her fan at one Mooger knocking it down followed by another swing at another Mooger "Time to blow you away!" declared Pink Samurai Ranger "Sky Cycle!" she said as she swung her Sky Fan around sending pink razor energy wind creating a small whirlwind around her as the Moogers were soon sliced to ribbons after one final swing ending with the Pink Ranger in an elegant pose.
With Yellow Samurai Ranger, she was facing off her own group of Moogers as she spun her spin sword's disc, the diamond glowing yellow before turning to a bright white light engulfing the sword.
She swung her sword to the left before swinging it to her right as she held it with both hands as it changed shape.
"Earth Slicer!" announced Yellow Samurai Ranger as her spin sword changed into said weapon. The Earth Slicer took the form of an oversized shuriken with three black colored blades and the main center connecting the blades taking the shape of a silver curvy triangle with a yellow earth kanji on it, a gold Shiba symbol at the tip of one of the shuriken blades and at the back was a peg where a power disc can be attached and as well as a handle.
Yellow Samurai Ranger opened her belt buckle revealing a new power disc. This one being yellow with black silhouetted pictures of the Ape FoldingZord, this was the Ape Disc.
She took the ape disc as it expanded before attaching it to the peg of the Earth Slicer as it powered up.
Yellow Samurai Ranger held the giant shuriken by the handle at the back wielding it as a melee weapon before charging forward as she swung it striking a Mooger with its' blades before doing crouching swing tripping another Mooger before blocking another Mooger's attack with her weapon like a shield before pushing it back, she twirled around before getting into a crouching position raising up her weapon above her head as she blocked a group strike from Moogers that surrounded her before pushing them back with a twirl as she stood up, she then swung her shuriken parrying another attacking Mooger before retaliating with a horizontal slash knocking it back before following up with a 360 slash striking two Moogers behind her ending with her in one knee in a crouching position with her Earth Slicer held in her left hand. She then looked forward and got into a ready throwing position "Take this! Earth Edge!" she said as she threw her Earth Slicer at a group of Moogers knocking them all down leaving sparks and explosions before the Earth Slicer returned to her like a boomerang as she caught it and the moment she did, the Moogers were engulfed in an explosion destroying them.
With Green Samurai Ranger, he was backed into a wall as he dodged a few jabs from some Moogers "Whoa!" exclaimed the green ranger dodging the Moogers' sword stabs "Yo! Back-off Mooger-yaro!" mocked the green ranger swinging his sword around causing the Moogers to back off before he dodged another attack "Heh! I can do that too!" declared Green Samurai Ranger after seeing his fellow samurai rangers switch their weapons as he prepared to spin the disc on his sword only for a Mooger to swing its' sword at him knocking his sword off his hands "Oi!" yelled the green ranger ducking a sword swing from the Mooger before kicking him away causing it to fall flat on its back to the ground.
"Heh!" said the Green Samurai Ranger as he managed to recover his weapon "Nice move Mooger!" he said while blocking another Mooger's sword "But I got more than one trick up my sleeve!" he said as he pushed the Mooger away before following up with a diagonal slash sending it back, he then spun the disc on his spin sword as the diamond glowed green before turning to a bright white light engulfing the sword.
The green ranger swung his sword back before getting into a ready stance as if wielding a polearm as his sword changed into a new form.
"Forest Spear!" announced the Green Samurai Ranger as his sword changed into said weapon. The Forest Spear to the shaped of a long black and silver staff with yellow stripes down the staff, a gold Shiba symbol on the silver bottom part and the top part taking the shape of a big a silver and green forest kanji with a peg at the back of it.
Green Samurai Ranger opened his belt buckle revealing a new power disc. This one being green with black silhouetted pictures of the Bear FoldingZord, this was the Bear Disc.
He took the bear disc as it expanded before attaching it to the peg of the Forest Spear as it powered up as a spear tip popped out completing its' Yari form.
Green Samurai Ranger spun his spear around parrying and blocking Moogers around him, two attempted to sneak up on him, only for the green ranger to catch them with his spear's staff as he proceeded to push them away, he spun his spear again while turning around before thrusting his spear forward stabbing a Mooger on the stomach, it soon followed by blocking a Mooger's sword strike with the staff part before proceeding to dodge a number of attacks from more Moogers as he spun backwards while managing to keep a grip on his Forest Spear "Whoa there!" exclaimed the green ranger as he tossed his spear upwards and catching it "Time to end this! Forest Strike!" he said as he held his spear in one hand with the staff part held securely under his arm as he spun around with the spear tip glowing green striking every Mooger and upon stopping his spin, the green ranger used the built-up momentum to spin his Forest Spear stylishly while expertly striking every last Mooger and after catching his spear, all the Moogers were engulfed in an explosion destroying them "Sayonara Fish Faces!" said Green Samurai Ranger.
With Red Samurai Ranger, she continued to strike down every Mooger in her way with the Fire Smasher as she soon decided it was time to finish them off "Fire Smasher: Wildfire Strike!" she announced as she sent one huge 180 fiery swing taking down the last of the Moogers in a fiery explosion.
"He, he, he, he, he~, nice moves little red!" said the Voice of Tooya as Red Samurai Ranger looked ahead to see said nighlok commander.
"Now it's my turn!" declared the nighlok commander as the red ranger shouldered her huge weapon and charged towards the commanding nighlok.
"Hooyah~!" shouted Tooya launching fireballs from his mouth.
Red Samurai Ranger held her Fire Smasher in front of her by the flat of the blade in return as the fireballs bounced off the blade's surface like a shield as she continued charging forward.
"Uh, oh!" said Tooya as the red ranger was now upon him and swung her huge blade at him as it got lodged on the nighlok's left side as Tooya grunted while getting a grip on the blade with his left arm.
Red Samurai Ranger attempted to push him back only for the nighlok to use his foot to root him in place after a few steps, the red ranger responded by releasing him before lifting up her Fire Smasher "Take this Skirt Face!" she taunted executing a right diagonal downwards slash only for Tooya to block it with his blades, only to receive a forward kick in return from the red ranger making Tooya stumble back with a groan.
The moment Tooya got a hold of himself, he looked up just in time to see Red Samurai Ranger swing her Fire Smasher upwards from her right sending the nighlok flying and landed on top of a car before tumbling off of said vehicle as he groaned.
"Hmph…!" huffed Red Samurai Ranger shouldering her huge weapon.
"Ugh…" grunted Tooya standing back up before turning to the car as he grinned "Guess what little red!" he said as he broke the passenger seat window and held onto the car "Your ride's here~!" he mocked as he pushed car towards the red ranger.
Red Samurai Ranger just stood there calmly and the moment she saw the car nearing her, she lifted up her Fire Smasher and with a loud yell, she brought it down cutting the car in two as both halves screeched past her harmlessly before exploding.
"My turn!" said Red Samurai Ranger as she charged toward Tooya as said nighlok panicked in alarm.
(Switch to Power Rangers Samurai Theme Song Instrumental)
He tried to block the Red Ranger's attack again only for the former to disarm him as he dropped his dual blades, Red Ranger then turn and lodged the back part of her Fire Smasher on Tooya's right side catching him off-guard as she lifted him up and proceeded to push him forward as she made the nighlok commander hit a few obstacles in front of them "Hope this gives you quite the impact nighlok!" she joked before pinning him to a concrete pillar creating cracks upon impact (pun intended).
She released her weapon from Tooya before turning around and do a 360 spin as her weapon became wreathed in flames "Fire… Crash!" she shouted as she executed a horizontal flaming slash cutting through both the pillar and Tooya before getting into a post slash crouching position with the nighlok behind her "Seibai…" uttered Red Samurai Ranger as Tooya started to emit red lightning before he was engulfed in an explosion destroying him.

Once that was over, Red Samurai Ranger's Fire Smasher glowed white and changed back into a spin sword as she stood up.
It was here that the rest of the rangers regrouped.
"Whooo!" cheered Green Samurai Ranger "Did you see that?! I was taking down Mooger butt like it was nothin!" he said.
"Yeah, but what about Suzume-chan?" said Yellow Samurai Ranger "She took down the nighlok commander" she pointed out.
"Hai! We all did great min'na!" said Pink Samurai Ranger.
"Great samurai moves back there Suzume" complimented Blue Samurai Ranger "You really are a master samurai" he praised.
"Thanks, but it's not over yet" said Red Samurai Ranger getting everyone's attention "Each nighlok has two lives or forms" she said "We took care of the first life, now here comes the second life… the Mega Monster" she said as she and the rangers turned towards the fiery remains of Tooya.
And as if on cue, the fire receded before it expanded and took the form of a giant sized Tooya.
"Fee! Fi! Fo! Fum! Time to crush some ranger bum!" rhymed Tooya as he looked down at the rangers who all (minus Red Samurai Ranger) looked on in shock.
"EEEEEHHHHHH?!" shouted to four rangers. Sure, they learned about the nighloks' mega monster form during their training but seeing it appear in front of them for the first time was very overwhelming. They soon snapped out of their shock as they all rolled out of the away to avoid a giant downward slash from the giant Tooya which caused a small tremor.
"Whoa! Look at the size of him!" said Green Samurai Ranger.
"How're we supposed to fight him now?" questioned Pink Samurai Ranger.
"Guys, we can fight this nighlok" said Blue Samurai Ranger sheathing his spin sword "Remember your training, we all have our own foldingzord" he said as he presented his Dragon FoldingZord to everyone as said foldingzord changed into its' origami form which is a mechanical looking origami eastern dragon with a blue, black and silver color scheme with gold talons on its' four legs, red eyes, gold mustache and a blue Shiba symbol on the side of its' neck.
"If we each use our symbol power, we can morph into Mega Mode" explained Blue Samurai Ranger as his foldingzord changed back into its' emblem form.
"Whoa…" said the green, pink and yellow rangers as the Red Samurai Ranger nodded in agreement "You're right" she said "Follow my lead everyone!" she said as she took out her Samuraizer "Lion FoldingZord: Mega Mode Power!" she said flipping open her Samuraizer as new transformation sequence began.

-Mega Mode Morphing Sequence-
Red Samurai Ranger was now in an unknown space as she pressed the middle button on her samuraizer as the kanji symbol for "Mega" appeared.
She then tossed her spin sword up in the air as it changed form. It changed into what looked like a foldable katana blade with the blade having two halves, the lower part being big with a silver edge and the back blade being black with orange grip and a silver and orange round folding mechanism and the upper blade being retractable with a small silver blade with a blade time and the back being black and yellow with a black central stripe, a black and reddish orange handle, black and yellow striped tsuba guard, black clamp at the lower part of the handle and a black ringed pommel at the end. The Spin Sword had become the Mega Blade.
Red Samurai Ranger had both her foldingzord and samuraizer in hand, the latter in brush mode as she went on one knee and slammed her foldingzord on the ground. She then proceeded to write the kanji symbol for "Mega" before standing back up.
"Mega Mode Power!" said Red Samurai Ranger as she was soon engulfed in a small cyclone of red fire kanji changing her form before getting into a pose.
She soon jumped up high while her Lion FoldingZord grew to giant size and changed into its' origami form.
Red Samurai Ranger reached out and caught her Mega Blade and entered the Lion FoldingZord.
Soon, out of red teleportation energy came Red Samurai Ranger appearing inside the cockpit of her foldingzord which was a white spacious room with white lights, a white Shiba symbol at the top behind her and at the center of the room where Red Samurai Ranger currently stood was a control panel used for controlling the foldingzord as said control panel was white with a circular bottom with red glowing light and at the upper part, there was a small silver head of her Lion FoldingZord at the front two glass parts that glow red at the side and at the top was a port where a mega blade can be inserted and behind it was a peg for inserting a power disc.
Red Samurai Ranger was now in a new form. She was now clad in a more armored and stylized version of her ranger form composed of a reinforced protective spandex, the upper part being red and the lower part being black under armor composed of a red chestplate with a black white outlined Y-shaped stripe and a gold Shiba symbol on the left pectoral area similar to her standard ranger form with pointed edges that reach past her shoulder making it look like she's wearing a haori, red shoulder pads, silver elbow pads with red gems, silver bracelets, white and red padded gloves, black thigh armor, silver knee pads with red gems, red and black padded boots, a gold belt with the pouch containing her Samuraizer on the right side and a sword sheath where she can attach her Mega Blade and finally her helmet had a more sharper looking design with a silver mouthguard that looks similar to a human mouth. This was Red Samurai Ranger's Mega Mode which is suited for piloting her foldingzord.
Mega Mode Red Samurai Ranger twirled her Mega Blade before holding it out with both hands as she retracted the upper blade and folded the rest of the blade into the handle before attaching it to the port on the control panel, she then followed up by attaching her Samurai Disc onto the peg of the panel.
Back with the others, they looked on in awe upon seeing the giant-sized Lion FoldingZord before remembered that they should follow suit.
"We're right behind you Suzume!" said Blue Samurai Ranger as he and the others held up their foldingzords and samuraizers.
-Mega mode Morphing Sequence-
The four rangers now found themselves in separate individual areas as they pressed the central button on their samuraizers, the kanji symbols for "Mega" appearing on their screens.
They tossed their spin swords upwards as they transformed into Mega Blades.
They then held up their samuraizers and foldingzords before getting on one knee and slamming them to the ground.
"Dragon FoldingZord!/Turtle FoldingZord!/Bear FoldingZord!/Ape FoldingZord!" they said while writing the kanji symbol for "Mega" before standing up.
"Mega Mode Power!" they said as they were soon engulfed in small cyclones of their respective elemental kanji symbols in their respective colors changing into Mega Mode before doing their own poses.
Soon, they all jumped up high while their respective foldingzords grew to giant size and changed into their origami forms.
The four reached out and caught their Mega Blades before entering their own zords.
Soon, after appearing out of teleportation energy of their respective colors, the four rangers found themselves in their respective zords' cockpits that look the same as MM Red Samurai Ranger but their control panels glowed their respective colors and the front upper part had silver head models of their respective foldingzord's heads. Each and every one of them were now in their armored Mega Mode forms with the girls having the same stature figure as Red Samurai Ranger while the boys were those suited for males.
"Whoa! Look at this!" said MM Blue Samurai Ranger looking at his new form and weapon.
"Whoa… Sugoi~!" said MM Green Samurai Ranger looking at his new weapon.
"Definitely!" agreed MM Pink Samurai Ranger checking out the cockpit before looking at herself.
"Nice~!" said MM Yellow Samurai Ranger admiring her new form.
After admiring their new gear, the four proceeded to fold their Mega Blades, attached them to the ports of their control panels and finally attached their samurai discs on the pegs of their control panels.
We now see all the giant sized foldingzords running/flying on the streets of the city headed towards their target enemy, the Lion, Bear and Ape foldingzords running on the ground while the Dragon and Turtle foldingzords were flying in the air.
The Turtle FoldingZord's origami form was a mechanical looking origami turtle with a black and silver color scheme with a black head, silver beak, red eyes and a silver Shiba symbol on either of the flippers.
The Bear FoldingZord's origami form was a mechanical looking origami bear with a green, and silver color scheme, red eyes and white Shiba symbol on either upper front-arms.
And the Ape FoldingZord's origami form was a mechanical looking origami ape with a yellow, silver and black colors scheme with a silver and yellow head, v-shaped forehead and red eyes.
Tooya looked on and laughed in amusement pointing his dual blades forward by the tips as if he were pointing guns "Hahahaha! Hooyah!" he yelled as lasers started shooting out of the tip of his weapons and towards the zords but the zords remained unfazed before the Lion FoldingZord was the first to move forward.
"Here goes!" said MM Red Samurai Ranger her hands on the attached Mega Blade holding it like a joystick as Lion FoldingZord lunged at Tooya hitting him on the upper chest area causing sparks to fly out before the zord got off him.
"Why you!" said Tooya as he wreathed his blades with purple energy before firing dual laser beams at the Lion FoldingZord but the foldingzord easily outran the laser as it ran towards Tooya.
"Bad kitty!" said Tooya striking the foldingzord with his blades twice stunning it.
"Hang on Suzume, we'll help you out!" said MM Blue Samurai Ranger "I'll come from the left!" he said pushing his mega blade forward.
"Then I'll take him from the right!" declared MM Yellow Samurai Ranger as Ape FoldingZord leaped in front of Tooya and started pounding him like crazy.
"Oof! Dow! Ugh~!" exclaimed Tooya at each pounding he received.
Ape FoldingZord jumped back into a bridge-connecting building where it flipped over the bridge as if it were a monkey bar before using the momentum to flip high and landed on the top of a taller building.
"Time to wipe that smile off your skirt!" declared MM Yellow Samurai Ranger pushing her Mega Blade forward as the Ape FoldingZord leaped forward and changed into its' giant-sized emblem form and tumbled down the side of the building before crashing onto Tooya who tried to block it with his blades but was too late as the foldingzord hit him on the hands causing him to drop his weapons and fall down allowing the Lion FoldingZord to escape.
"Whoooaaaa! Ooooowaaaa!" exclaimed Tooya crashing to the ground on his back.
"Now it's my turn to give it a whirl!" said MM Pink Samurai Ranger pushing her Mega Blade forward as the Turtle FoldingZord changed back into its' emblem form and spun around like a flying frisbee while creating a tornado as it headed towards Tooya who stood back up.
"Ah~, I better get busy, making you dizzy!" said Tooya as he bonked the Turtle FoldingZord causing it to fall to the ground.
"Whoa!" exclaimed MM Pink Samurai Ranger as her cockpit started to shake.
"Delicious~!" said Tooya as the mouth on his skirt opened and shoved the Turtle FoldingZord into it trapping MM Pink Samurai Ranger.
"Nantekotta (Oh no), I'm stuck!" exclaimed MM Pink Samurai Ranger trying to escape but to no avail.
"Hold on Erena!" exclaimed MM Green Samurai Ranger "I'm coming!" he said as the Bear FoldingZord approached Tooya who took notice.
"How cute, a little teddy bear!" mocked Tooya firing lasers from his eye shoulders but the Bear FoldingZord managed to withstand the attack.
"Spit her out Skirt-Breath!" said MM Green Samurai Ranger making the Bear FoldingZord stand on two legs and start pounding Tooya.
Tooya grunted in annoyance as he proceeded to grab the foldingzord.
"Whoa!" exclaimed MM Green Samurai Ranger as his cockpit shook.
Tooya proceeded to lift up the FoldingZord but at the last second, it changed into its' emblem form causing him to drop it as it landed on his foot.
"OOOWWWWWWWW!" exclaimed Tooya in pain as the eyes of his skirt popped out in shock, the sound of a party horn being heard, causing the mouth to release the Turtle FoldingZord.
"Whoa!" exclaimed MM Pink Samurai Ranger her cockpit shaking a bit before maintaining balance "Thanks Takeshi-kun!" she said relieved that she escaped.
"No problem, Erena!" said MM Green Samurai Ranger giving a thumbs up before the two proceeded to roll away.
"Ehehe~, trying to escape huh?" said Tooya attempting to recapture the Turtle and Bear FoldingZords.
"Now it's my turn!" declared MM Blue Samurai Ranger.
"Heads up!" he said as Tooya was met with the Dragon FoldingZord in giant emblem form slamming onto his face disorienting him as the foldingzord changed back into its' origami form as it proceeded to fly towards Tooya with a roar.
"Have a taste of this! Mega Blade: Dragon Splash!" said MM Blue Samurai Ranger slamming his palm to the top of his Mega Blade as the Dragon FoldingZord breathed a stream of blue fire hitting its' mark on the nighlok.
"WHOOOAAAA!" scream Tooya as he was hit with a stream of blue flames.
Lion FoldingZord then came charging forward and within the cockpit, MM Red Samurai Ranger detached her Mega Blade and unfolded it to its blade mode as she swung her blade and got into a ready stance preparing for the final strike.
"Mega Blade: Pentagonal Fury!" she said as she spun her samurai disk as it began to glow an aurora spectrum color.
The lion FoldingZord them folded up, its legs returning to its' standard positions while the arms were raised up sidewards making it look like wings as it soon covered itself in flames before flying forward towards Tooya, said nighlok looked on in panic.
MM Red Samurai Ranger got into a ready stance as the meter on the control pannel charged up with white light energy before it transferred to the Mega Blade as it shined brightly, she then let out a yell thrusting her Mega Blade Forward with both hands.
At the same time, the Lion FoldingZord rammed through Tooya before it landed back on the ground in its' origami form.
Sparks started to emit from Tooya like fireworks before he fell to the ground and was engulfed in an explosion destroying him as the Lion FoldingZord let out a roar of victory.
MM Red Samurai Ranger swung her Mega Blade to her right before slowly sheathing it to her belt in style "Samurai Rangers… victory is ours…" she said fully sheathing her blade.
And with this victory… Eartheon now has a new group of protectors in its' wake as all five FoldingZords stood side by side in triumph.
Later…
After the battle the five rangers now back in their civilian forms arrived at the Samurai Ranger HQ.
"Wow…" said Yunoha looking at her foldingzord in her hands as she and her new found friends walked through the gates of the estate "That was quite the rush" she said turning to her new friends "We. Did. Good!" she said.
"You could say that again!" agreed Erena.
"Eeyep!" nodded Takeshi tossing his foldingzord up before catching it "Piece-o-cake!" he said.
"And we couldn't have done it without each other" said Suzume smiling.
"Thank you for leading us into battle Suzume" thanked Rei "It was an honor to fight alongside you" he said.
"It was nothing" replied Suzume with a smile.
"Well done, all of you!" called out a voice as the five turned towards the entrance of the mansion to see Jason Takahashi walking out the door "Such energy… such grace…" he said approaching the rangers.
"Dare? (Who's that?)" questioned Takeshi.
"This is Jason Takahashi-sensei" introduced Suzume "He's our mentor" she said.
Upon hearing that name, something clicked on the four rangers especially Rei since he tried to recall where he heard that name before when his father mentioned him.
"Wait… Jason Takahashi… are you saying that he's THAT Jason Takahashi? One of Rising Japan's fiercest Adventure Champions of his time?" asked Rei in surprise.
"The one they call the Demon Flame Samurai?!" asked Takeshi in equal surprise.
"The same one who's part of the Takahashi family, one of the three founders of the Tri Martial Arts Academy, one of Rising Japan's biggest and long running major martial arts schools?" asked Erena.
"The same one who once teamed up with the previous samurai rangers during his youth along with other celestial champions to fight off a common threat outside of Eartheon?" asked Yunoha.
Suzume chuckled in amusement in response as she nodded "The very same!" she chirped much to her teammates awe.
"Whoa~! It's so great to meet you sir, I… I'm such a big fan of yours!" said Takeshi.
"And it's an honor to have you mentor us Takahashi-sensei" said Rei bowing to Jason with respect.
Jason chuckled in response "The feeling's mutual" he said before clearing his throat "Anyway, I welcome all of you to your new home" he said as Suzume's teammates got a good look at the place.
"You've all come from different places… and families… but share one noble goal..." he said "I'm very proud of how you've come together" he told Suzume.
Suzume chuckle "All we did was follow some good advice and worked together as a team" she told him.
"Yes…" nodded Jason "But you are not just any team…" he said "You. Are the Samurai Rangers!" he said.
Upon hearing that, the whole team smiled before turning to one another as they gathered around each other in a circle and held up their FoldingZords to their left shoulders "Rangers together!" they said before holding them up bringing them together "Samurai Forever!" they said as the kanji symbols on their FoldingZords glowed their respective colors as if they were acknowledging their partner's declarations.
*Clap!* *Clap!* *Clap!* "Fantastic! Simply fantastic! This chapter is just, fantastic!" said the voice of Chron "Hello chaps! Chron here and we've got quite the chapter here don't you think?" he said.
"Oui~! And it was amazing to see how the rangers gathered together to fight off their enemy" said the voice of Tassel.
"Indeed, they were quite the interesting lot aren't they?" said Chron "But let's not celebrate yet, 'cause we're not quite finished yet" he said.
"Nani?!" said Tassel in surprise as the scene returned to where we last stopped.
Jason looked on and smiled at the rangers' show of unity when all of a sudden, the sound of clapping was heard behind him, this also got the attention of the samurai rangers as they turned to the source.
"Bravo all of you!" said an elderly cheerful male voice as someone was walking out of the entrance of the rangers' base "I'm so glad to see that you've found yourself quite the team Suzume" he said revealing himself to be an elderly man who smiled at Suzume.
Upon seeing him, Suzume's eyes widened in surprise upon seeing him "O-O-Ojiisan!?" she exclaimed.
"Ojiisan?!" exclaimed the other four in surprise.
Suzume's grandfather Tenshin Shiba-Tachibana was an elderly man with shoulder length silver gray hair held in a low ponytail, fair slightly wrinkled skin, lean and average muscular build despite his age, a full beard and orange eyes. He was currently clad in light gray nagagi robe under a black haori jacket with a white insignia of the Shiba-Tachibana clan on the back, dark gray hakama pants with a black and white striped obi sash, a pair of white tabi socks and a pair of black sandals.
Suzume soon shook out of her shock as she smiled widely before running over to her grandfather and gave him a big hug.
"Ojiisan! I'm so glad that you're here!" said Suzume happily.
"Haahahahahahahahaha! Glad to see you too you little rascal!" grinned Tenshin returning the hug and even ruffling her hair a bit.
Jason let out a chuckle upon seeing this tender moment before turning to the rest of the confused rangers "Allow me to introduce you" he said as he gestured to Tenshin "This is Tenshin Shiba-Tachibana, Suzume's grandfather and the head of the Shiba-Tachibana clan" he said.
"Whoa… so he's the head honcho of the clan!" said Takeshi in awe.
"Indeed, he is" nodded Rei in agreement.
"It's really nice to see family moments like this" said Yunoha with Erena nodding in agreement.
After separating from the hug, Suzume then asked her grandfather "It's really nice to see you here Ojiisan but what are you doing here?" she asked.
"Well, first off I wanted to see my granddaughter's new team" he said as he took a look at her teammates "And I have to say, they're quite the interesting lot and I sense some great potential coming from each and every one of them" he said.
"It's an honor to hear such praise sir" said Rei with a bow as the other three nodded in appreciation.
"Second…" he trailed off before his expression turned serious "I've come to inform you of a matter at hand that needs all of you together" he said.
"What is it Ojiisan?" asked Suzume getting a feeling that this was serious.
"A new threat is coming, a threat even bigger than the nighlok or Master Xandred" he said alarming everyone (minus Jason and Erena).
"A threat bigger than the nighlok?!" parroted Takeshi.
"Yes…" nodded Tenshin gravely "And it not only concerns Rising Japan or even all of Eartheon but as well as the fate of the entire multiverse" he revealed shocking the rangers.
"And it'll take more than just the Samurai Rangers to deal with this threat once and for all." said Jason.
The rangers looked at one another pondering for a few moments before nodding to one another as Suzume turned to her grandfather "What do we have to do Ojiisan?" she asked with a determined expression.
"And there! That concludes the rest of this chapter" said the voice of Chron.
"Oh my! Such excitement! I wonder what'll happen next?" asked the voice of Tassel.
"Well, we'll all have to find out on the next chapter." said Chron.

After so much delay, the latest chapter to this story is finished.
In here, we're introduced to the Samurai Power Rangers of Rising Japan and as well as who they are and they're quite the interesting bunch with some interesting backgrounds to some of them and we're also reintroduced to Koto who we saw at the last story and he's friends with the pink samurai ranger and as well as her brother and as well as a few other characters who'll also be key characters to the story in the future.
Also, now you know what the mansion from the previous chapter is and that's none other than the Samurai Power Rangers' HQ.
Now I'm sure some of you are going to wonder about the rangers' getup before they transformed as well the Kuroko, well in case some of you forgot, I'm gonna be mixing elements from both Super Sentai and Power Rangers such as the Kuruko being support assistance to the rangers and as well as the rangers' getups being a mixture of their Super Sentai and Power Ranger counterparts with them wearing the same outfits as the ones from Sentai with the color schemes of the Power Rangers to make things interesting.
