Rhythm of the Rain
By SMYGO4EVA
The sky turned from bright blue to a cloudy grey, and soon the heavens opened up.
"Oh hey, it's raining." Sasaki remarked, as he and Miyano looked out the bay window of the school, wiping the sweat off his brow. "Finally."
Miyano saw the pattering of rain outside, far from the expected torrential downpour, but not as light as a drizzle.
"Never thought you'd say that." he began, a thoughtful look on his face.
"Say what?" Sasaki asked.
"That you'd be glad to see the rain, usually you're not a fan of it." Miyano said.
"Oh that's right, it usually gets grey and miserable, but now..." Sasaki began.
Miyano shifted where he stood, and he turned to face Sasaki. "Well, look on the bright side, there'll be a break from this heatwave, so there's that."
Sasaki nodded, crossing his arms. "Hey, you're right, and it's gotten way hot go to outside as well."
Miyano looked around, and noticed no one else was in the hallway, out and about. He sighed, and then he moved close to Sasaki.
Sasaki looked away from the window, and he smiled seeing Miyano close to him.
"The rain will definitely a huge relief," Miyano said, lifting his head to look up. "That way we can do a lot more outside, and maybe, together."
"Together?," Sasaki asked, even though he knew the answer.
Miyano felt his face pinken, and he nodded. "Yeah, together."
Sasaki started to smile, but he couldn't help but laugh aloud.
Miyano blinked, quite confused. "What? What's so funny?"
"Nothing, it's just that you look too cute when you're blushing."
Miyano's face turned red. "Don't say that!" he pouted, though he secretly loved it.
Sasaki smiled and laughed even harder, and Miyano covered his face, but he himself started to laugh as well.
