My POV:
As I approached the village, my breath caught. It was like stepping into a dream—a quaint, dragon-filled haven straight out of "How to Train Your Dragon." The wooden houses perched on cliffs, connected by rope bridges. Smoke spiraled from chimneys, and dragons of all shapes and sizes soared overhead.
I pinched myself. This couldn't be real. But the salty sea breeze and the distant roar of dragons told me otherwise. I was in Berk.
People bustled about—Vikings with braided hair, leather-clad and laughing. They didn't notice me; I blended in seamlessly. Maybe the portal had woven me into this world, making me part of its complicated fabric.
I wandered through the village, marveling at the details—the blacksmith's forge, the fish market, the dragon stables. And there, near the Great Hall, I spotted Hiccup's helmet—a familiar sight from the show. It hung on a peg, weathered and battle-worn.
"Is this a parallel universe?" I whispered. "Or did I just become an extra in my favorite series?"
The villagers chatted in Old Norse, their voices warm and familiar. I resisted the urge to fan-girl. Instead, I focused on blending in, mimicking their expressions and gestures. I was a silent observer, soaking in every detail.
And then, I saw her—the Astrid of my childhood dreams. Her blonde hair was braided, and her axe hung at her side. She laughed with friends, her eyes crinkling. I'd watched her character grow and admired her courage. Now she was here, real and tangible.
I hesitated. Should I approach her? Ask for an autograph. But no, that would break the illusion. Instead, I followed her from a distance, my heart racing. Maybe I'd learn something—discover the secrets of this world.
As night fell, the Great Hall came alive. Torches blazed, and the Vikings gathered for a feast. I slipped inside, finding a spot near the hearth. The aroma of roasted fish filled the air, and the mead flowed freely.
Hiccup stood at the head of the long table, his prosthetic leg visible beneath his tunic. He raised his goblet, and the crowd cheered. Toothless perched nearby, eyes gleaming. They were legends here—the Dragon Riders who'd changed everything.
And me? I was just a girl who'd fallen through a portal, caught between two worlds. But maybe, just maybe, I could be part of their story too.
Heyy guys! what do ya'll think of the story so far! Tell me if there are any mistakes or smth
