Sailor Otaku (english version)
"Stop right there!". Some guys who were fixing the high school theater are surprised to hear those screams coming from the stage, and then a girl dressed as a Sailor Scout appears, but her face was not yet in the light because of some curtains that covered her. "I will not allow villains like you to walk around committing misdeeds, not while I'm here! I'm a sailor scout who fights for eroges and mangas!" The mysterious sailor advances with a jump, revealing the face of Konata Izumi wearing a Sailor Neptune cosplay. "I'm Sailor Otaku!"
"I-I'm also here t-to defend the innocent from evil!". Tsukasa appears with her face completely red and shaking quite a bit because of how embarrassed she felt. Tsukasa was wearing Sailor Mercury cosplay. "I'm a sailor scout who fights for kittens and pillows! I'm Sailor Twin!".
"And I'm a Sailor Scout who fights for the studies and for freeing me from dentist appointments!". Miyuki appears with Sailor Jupiter cosplay. It must be said that Miyuki was just as red as Tsukasa, but in contrast she managed to handle her embarrassment better in her introduction. "I'm Sailor Moe! Do I really have to be called that, Konata-san?".
"Of course, Miyuki-san".
"AND NOW IT'S MY TURN!". Misao arrives screaming as if she couldn't hear herself, and she was wearing Sailor Saturn cosplay. "I'm a sailor scout who fights to beat the dwarf and skip math class! I'm Sailor Fang! Wait a minute... Why do I have to call myself that, dwarf?".
"Well, you must be called that because of your fang". Konata answers simply, as if she were answering how much two plus two was. "You don't expect me to give you another sailor name, do I, Fang-chan?".
"One of these days you'll see how hard my fang bites, little girl!".
"Can I go out now? The longer it takes me, the more embarrassed I am to be like this". Ayano appears, covering the cosplay she was wearing. Konata and Misao nod and Ayano sighs before starting. "Well... And I am a sailor scout who fights for friendship and kindness! I am Sailor Partner!". When she finally shows herself, it turns out that Ayano was wearing Sailor Mars cosplay.
"And I'm a Sailor Scout who fights for Maid Cafés and English!". Patricia Martin takes her turn wearing the Sailor Uranus-themed outfit. "I'm Sailor Blonde!".
"And... and I am...- everyone present recognizes the voice of Yutaka Kobayakawa, Konata's cousin, but she still hasn't come out from behind the curtain that covers those who have yet to be introduced. "I'm... Atchis! I am a sailor scout who fights for health and tenderness!". Yutaka almost slips when she appears, but Miyuki and Konata manage to hold her. She was wearing the cosplay corresponding to Sailor Chibimoon. "I'm Sailor Loli! Do I really have to be called that, onee-chan?".
"And I'm a Sailor Scout who fights for love and kindness". Says Minami in a lower voice than the others, much less gestural but somewhat blushing. Her cosplay was Sailor Venus, no one understands why at first glance. "I'm Sailor Prince... Really Sailor Prince?".
"I didn't decide that". Konata washes her hands without erasing her cat-like smile. "Talk to Hiyori-chan if you think there's anything wrong with that name".
Minami doesn't say anything else, she just takes her place next to Yutaka, and in a matter of two seconds they both blush at the thought of how good the other looked.
"Now I'm coming!". Hiyori jumps in Sailor Pluto cosplay, including the crosier. "I'm a scout who fights for doujins and yur... I mean the quality of the drawings! I'm Sailor Glass!".
The last of the parody sailors was missing, but she doesn't make an appearance. Konata is surprised and checks behind the curtains to see if the last girl was ready.
"Are you still not out, Kagamin?".
"This act is very embarrassing, and even more so is this outfit!". Yes, the last girl was Kagami Hiiragi, Tsukasa's twin sister, as well as Konata's best friend, in a strange friendship relationship similar to that of Sailor Moon and Sailor Mars.
"Come on, no one is going to make fun of you, Kagamin..."
"I already told you no!". The other girls get a drop on their heads.
"Get out now. I promise that if you get out, I'll buy you a lifetime supply of Pockys".
"Forget it! I'm not taking your bribes this time, you fool".
"Well..." Konata seems to give up and many attendees seem disappointed. "I guess our play won't go well, unless... I know!- Konata widens her smile even more upon finding the solution to the dilemma she was going through. "Please get out of there, or else I'll be calling you Kagami-sama all semester!". Some guys laugh, and even Patricia and Misao do it too.
"Okay, but I don't want you to call me that, especially in front of so many people!". Applause starts to sound when Kagami comes out dressed as Sailor Moon, and of course she had her usual pigtails included. "And I'm a sailor scout who fights through effort and attitude! I'm..." Kagami blushes even more than her twin and Miyuki had done, but she hides it by putting on an angry face. "I am Sailor Tsundere! You'll see after this is over, Konata".
"Sailor Otaku will punish you in the name…" Konata did all the Sailor Moon hand movements to close the rehearsal with a flourish. "…of the mangas!
The entire place erupted in applause and cheers. Yutaka was very happy to see the success of her theater rehearsal and almost jumped to hug Minami, a scene that Hiyori did not miss to take out her sketchbook.
Further back in the audience were Usagi, Ami, Minako and Makoto watching the performance from the beginning. Usagi was by far the one who enjoyed the demonstration the most, but the others also found it amusing.
"Those girls are very funny". Says the princess with a big smile.
"I heard that they all come from Ryoo High School and that they are really very talented despite how different they are". Ami says.
"Why is the girl who doesn't make gestures the one who plays Sailor Venus?". Minako says, somewhat surprised.
"I think the ones that fit the role the best are Konata, Patricia, Kagami and Yutaka". Makoto says, quite observant. "Their resemblances to Michiru, Haruka, Usagi-chan and Chibiusa are striking compared to the rest of the girls".
The real sailor scouts had their own activities to do, while the Lucky Stars continued with their rehearsal, obviously facing Kagami's embarrassment and anger.
