Rei was at her shrine alone, she was drinking a cup of green tea.
Rei remembered the first time when she met Usagi. To her perspective, She was a crybaby, whether every time she was with her. Rei felt irritated, when hearing Usagi crying, she had enough, sometimes she want to beat her up to express her hatred and dissatisfaction, however, she still held it back. But last week, Usagi suddenly got sick and stayed in bed for a whole week. She began to think whether is because of her bad behaviour in the past, during the last week, Rei was sweeping the shrine, and then she noticed it was Usagi calling from her phone.
Rei twitched an eyebrow. She was annoyed for seeing Usagi calling a lot of times to herself. She doesn't know whether she was thinking too much, or stressed, or simply just an expression for her being annoying, she hung up. And a few minutes later, Minako called Rei, and told Usagi was in the hospital. And Minako told Rei, Usagi was just asking her where the medicine is for easing headache. Usagi recently had two jobs which requires 10 hours of work, she barely had enough time for her to rest. When she got to the hospital, all of the other friends are blaming her for making the blonde sick, if only she controls her anger, and listen to what Usagi wants, probably this wouldn't have happened.
Rei stared at the sky outside the shrine, with some of the birds flying. She began to remember some memories of her first transforming to Sailor Mars, and the process of how she and Usagi, and her friends can go through all the pain. Rei's heart suddenly ached when she Usagi's picture.
"Usagi chan… What is going on with me these days, I thought I already forgave you what you had done….." Rei's eyes suddenly flood with tears. She regretted on what she had treated her in the past. And her brain remembered the first time she died on protecting Usagi, at that time, she knows she was already in a verge of death, and gave her last words; She regretted it, she felt worthless unable to stay with her till the end and defeat Queen Beryl; In a twisted turn of events, Usagi successfully defeated her, in which Rei and the others successfully revived. Except they don't remember anything, but it's still better than dying without anyone remembering the existence of the Sailor Senshi, on how they had put effort on saving the world.
The second time is which she and the inner senshi are facing against Galaxia, she supposed to have a chance for saving the world. Then? What happened? They protected Usagi and the starlights, is still the same like last time. Instead, it happened suddenly, at the speed of light, their star seeds got pulled out. Rei still remembered she shed tears in front of Usagi. She still remembers she can't protect the blonde, and it hurts her very much.
Rei's tears cannot stop falling as if it's a mix of gulit, sadness, thankfulness or for no reason, she doesn't know why she is crying. Today she only is the mood of sweeping the shrine, and watching TV without thinking of anything else. But she cried. After a few minutes, she wiped her tears and head to the toilet and washed her face.
Her phone rang. It was Ami.
"Ami?"
"Rei chan. I'm here to tell you something."
"Sorry, Ami chan. I shouldn't have let Usagi lose her consciousness for an hour."
"At least Mamoru got back early, Rei chan. I'm here to tell you, Usagi feels better now, last week she was really in a bad state."
"She's ok?"
"You better go to the hospital and tell her your true thoughts, Rei chan. She would forgive you."
"I'm on my way."
Rei then wore a sweatshirt and a pair of sneakers along with a pair of short pants, she took a taxi and got to the hospital. She did some procedures for checking in to the hospital as she got in to Usagi's room.
"Usagi!"
"Rei chan, you've came."
"I'm sorry for what I have done!"
"What, Rei chan?"
"Last week, I yelled at you, and you were just asking for medicine."
"No worries, Rei chan. It's nothing."
"Really, Usagi. I just don't know why I suddenly get angry in the first place."
"If it's in the past, then I would say sorry to you. Rei chan. Begging you for everything, and teasing you for revenge; just forgive me."
"And I also apologize for being angry most of the time."
"It's ok."
"Can I hug you, Usagi?"
Usagi then hugged ruffled her hair as she smiled.
"Don't think too much, Rei chan."
"How's your fever?"
"I feel better now, Rei chan. After a week's rest, I have the energy to move."
"You make me worried, Usagi!"
"Sorry, Rei chan."
"When are you be able to leave the hospital?"
"Tomorrow. And can I cook something for you?"
"No thanks, I cook for you. You need to take some rest."
"You're the best, Rei chan."
"Don't mention it, Usagi."
Since Rei and Usagi fight together in the anime, I decided to make a story of how they reconcile, see you in the next chapter. Reviews are welcome.
