Chapter 2
After Usagi discharged from the hospital, Rei prepared a cake for her. She knows Usagi really loves eating sweets. She hasn't did this by herself. In the past, she usually cooks for her grandfather. And she didn't know why she had an urge for making a cake at that time, probably because she felt an apology was not good enough, or she realized she had gone too far.
"Hope this cake really make Usagi proud." Rei said as she went to Usagi's house.
Usagi then opened the door and noticed Rei.
"Rei chan?"
"I'm here to say sorry for everything that I did. Here is the cake that you like, Usagi."
"You baked it for me?"
"Yes."
"Rei chan, I'm quitting sweets been a while, just keep it at the fridge."
"It's not like you by quitting sweets, Usagi. When is that?"
"Starting from last month."
"Can I come in?"
Rei then gave a bottle of green tea to Usagi after they settled in the living room.
"Rei chan, you don't have to be like that."
"I'm just doing this to repay you, for what I have done."
"You don't have to, Rei chan."
"About everything, Usagi. The things in the past, everything! I felt guilty for everything!"
Usagi had never seen Rei being like that, she knows the black hair girl is arrogant to everything. Whether herself did something wrong,including not paying attention during studies, she remember one time Rei and her fighting together, because she got distracted, Rei was trying to be a nice girl and persuade her to focus instead of reading manga. However, She didn't listen to her and talked back. And even sometimes is when they have to fight the monsters, Usagi sometimes would cry a lot when she was facing some enemies. This makes Rei annoyed, and even in some moments, she wanted to end the relationship with the blonde. Usagi knows she can't control herself, she knows she cannot change this habit of asking a lot. These days, she behaved well, able to let Rei not having a chance to scold herself, but to her; it was a only one single mistake.
"Rei chan, please. It's over."
"I'm sorry, Usagi chan. I did a lot bad things to you."
"It's not that serious, Rei chan. I just only got a fever."
"It's not ok! I made you cry, I made you mad at me, and it's all my fault!" Rei said with regret.
"Don't be like that, I forgive you."
"Usagi, you mean it?"
"Why won't I forgive you? You're my friend! Don't blame yourself for what you have done!" Usagi shouted.
Rei was surprised to see Usagi being like that, It was now her turn to say back at herself.
"You forgive me?"
"I mean it, Rei chan. Plus, It's not a big deal, I usually reflect on myself after what I had done."
"And still, I'm sorry that I raised my voice last week, when you were just asking me where the medicine was."
"I thought you were still mad at me?"
"I was just remembering the past of how you make me upset; I cannot control myself at that time."
"Just forget about it, It was not worth it."
"You're right. Usagi chan."
"Anyway, let's watch TV then!"
"What should we watch?"
"Let me watch this TV show."
"It's a romantic drama, Let's watch it together."
"Thanks. Rei chan."
