Chapter One:
The Sea's essence burns within me.

NARRATOR

The Greeks and Romans had many Myths. Numerous were forgotten and lost. This is one of those Myths that was forgotten in time:

Sally arrived to the Empire State Building just minutes ago, and she was already facing creatures only known as Monsters. Her current love, Paul Blofis, was right at her side wielding a celestial bronze sword. She was using a shotgun she found in a police cruiser.

CHIKWICK

sounded her weapon as it reloaded for a shot.

In the corner of her eye, she could see the shocked expression of her son.

Sally didn't have the luxury to have time to laugh because a Laistrygonian Giant slammed its fist right down at her.

She dashed from the attack, grunting.

PWOH

The shotgun Pierced the air with the sound of lead from Sally's shotgun.

The Laistrygonian Giant leaked blood from the attack. Yet it was not fazed.

Sally continued to spray and pray, for the Monsters to just cease.

"DIE YOU OVERGROWN BABY! YOU SMELL WORSE THAN MY SON'S DIAPER WHEN HE WAS A BABY" Sally shouted. The Monster clearly didn't enjoy being taunted, it threw a Honda Civic at her and Paul.

She ran away from the attack, thankfully escaping any injury she might have met.

Paul wasn't so lucky, his Torso and legs were crushed. He had fallen to the ground, the weight of the vehicle trampling him.

Sally let out a shriek of terror but all hope wasn't lost. Paul was wiggling under the car to escape its grasp.

Paul Blofis was dazed and coughing blood.

Seeing this got a negative reaction from her, the Laistrygonian Giant went for the kill.

It lunged and slammed a van onto Paul.

Splattering blood, flesh, and the insides of Paul everywhere.

Sally let out a shout that only could be identified as sorrow, pain, and dominantly anger.

The Jackson wanted that monster to pay for what it had done.

She wanted revenge.

She wanted blood.

She wanted to Kill.

From all these emotions, the essence of the sea activated.

She may have not known that this was happening or why this was happening but all she could think about was…

BLOOD. MURDER. PAIN.

The monster's blood started to boil to an extreme degree.

Why?

The sea's essence burns within her… that's why.

Why does The sea's essence burn within her?

If you would like to know, we would have to start with the bond of Sally and Poseidon…

Sally Jackson and The Ruler of Sea's Bond was as strong as the most rigid Olympian silver (1) sword.

Sally and Poseidon would spend nights together, chatting, laughing, occasionally kissing, and sleeping while snuggled in each other's embrace. (Cue the awhs)

From these nights spent together while in Morpheus's realm, Sally would be close enough to Poseidon for his essence to radiate and leak within the very soul of her mortal body.

The essence spread to her blood, waiting for its new master to activate itself.

When initiated, the essence would attack the mortal blood to convert it into the ethereal (2) blood of the gods.

Ichor.

You get what I'm saying right? I'm not going to say it twice.

Now! Where was I? Oh yeah. Telling you the story, "Mother's Ascension". Let's go back to the part we were in, shall we?

The monster's blood was boiling.

The Laistrygonian Giant cried yells of torment, agony, and torture.

This could be heard from a football field away.

Many turned to see what was happening but were interrupted by the combat they were engaged in.

The pain the Laistrygonian Giant felt went as far as the deepest pits of Tartarus.

The monster burst into golden dust, as if it busted blood and its organs.

Sally, her Bloodlust was not yet quenched, she continued to bring down a hail of bullets onto her enemies.

Soon enough, Sally started to calm down but she was yet to be done.

Sally went to the lobby of the Empire State Building where the Half-Blood HQ was decided to be set up.

She went to a rack of weapons and looked through. Javelins, Spears, Cavalry swords, crossbows, combat knives, and bows.

Sally wasn't in her prime due to age so she picked what she thought best worked with her. A bow and quiver.

In the quiver were dozens of arrows so she would be able to hopefully last long enough until the battle ended.

What if I run out? She asked herself. Then I'll just get a combat knife, we should be good right? Sally gave a solution to herself. Hm… it's good enough. The other part of her said.

She walked out of the lobby, and back into the fight.

-Time skip-

Heroes and Heroines of all kind fell and perished. But what mattered in the end was that they won. Sally sighed, she felt the pain many parents might feel when they hear that their son or daughter died.

After the awards were given out to the heroes, such as Percy, Sally went off to Olympus.

No mortal was allowed there. however, there were exceptions for the parents of any of the demigods that fought during the war.

Sally heard from some of the shocked Olympians her son had declined Godhood.

She was infuriated.

For a split second Sally thought Percy would be free from the grasp of Thanatos.

But no. Percy had just to decline it.

Her anger was responsible though. Any mother would want their child to be able to live in the Heavens (3) and be able to never feel the pain of death onto themselves.

Nonetheless, she couldn't do anything about it except to give her son a good scolding.

She would have to do that when he got home.

Whenever that was…

-Time Skip-

Sally was a mess. Paul Blofis' death had hit her hard as well as the disappearance of her son. Sally looked into the bathroom mirror.

She had gained dark circles under her eyes, she hadn't been sleeping much. She had mainly focused only on her career and the work of it.

Sally looked way older than she had ever had.

Of course, she was older than she ever was, but she knew she always had a spark of youth even when she grew older. She dropped her eyes to the counter and thoughts entered her mind.

It had been six months since… Percy had vanished…

Tears swelled in Sally's eyes.

To some Sally might have been overreacting a little but her son was everything to her. He was the thing that kept her up at night (Literally). He was the thing she first saw in the morning and the last thing she saw at night. He was the one who watched movies with her until he fell asleep.

And most importantly Percy was her son.

Sally blinked the tears out of her eyes and raised her head to face her reflection.

She snapped her head back down at the counter, intimidated by her own reflection.

Sally gained her courage and looked back at herself and looked deeply into her eyes.

They were aged yet it had recently been easier to past through the Mist.

Odd one could call it.

Sally studied her face.

Tired, pained, and aged.

I wish I looked younger. Sally desired. I won't look younger if I just stay here doing nothing. Sally thought.

With that, Sally left the bathroom without looking back in the mirror.

Little did she know what she wished was her command as a newly ascended Goddess. Of course, she didn't know this.

Thus as she willed, happened.

-Time Skip-

Sally didn't know how to react. Her son just sent a voicemail to her, letting her know he was alive, on a quest, and he misses her.

Sally felt relieved but slightly annoyed that Percy didn't do anything to let her know earlier.

"Mrs. Sally, what happened?" A child's voice said behind her. Sally turned around to see the small demigod she was housing.

There was the eight-year-old Anthony, she had been sheltering him for around two weeks. Nursing him until he would be okay enough to continue his journey to Camp Half-Blood.

"Oh, that was just a voicemail I received from my son, Percy. Remember I told you about him? He was-, I mean, is a demigod like you." Sally said.

"Okie Dokie!" Anthony replied. "Mrs. Sally, when will I be ready to go to Camp Half-Blood?"

Sally smirked, "I was about to say, you're ready for your journey to Camp but it seems like you already have asked." Her face then turned serious.

"Anthony, there is an arsenal of celestial bronze weapons that I've hidden and kept over the years, it's under the loose floor tile in your room. You may select what weapon suits you best, dear."

Anthony nodded in understanding and went to Percy's room, which he now called his own.

Anthony lifted the loose tile and saw what were several weapons, knives, swords, and weapons of alike, all stashed there.

He picked up a sword, which he was best at because of his short training sessions from Sally.

He twirled and swung the sword, testing the balance and weight of the sword.

The sword's balance wasn't the best but it was the promising of the weapons. The weight was fine so he had no worries about that.

He went to notify Sally that he was ready.

"Mrs. Sally, I'm ready," he said quietly. He was going to miss Sally, she was like a second parental figure that he had always wanted and needed.

"Before you go, dear. I have some supplies for you." Sally handed Anthony two ziplock bags. One with ambrosia and the other with a couple of drachmas.

"These are Drachmas. They're Greek coins, you can use them anytime on your journey and here is Ambrosia, remember what I told you. If you eat too much you will burn up. Got it?" Sally spoke.

"Yes…" Anthony wasn't sure and he was very much hesitant, but he had to reach Camp Half-Blood sooner or later.

Soon a topic that always reoccurred painfully was brought to his mind.

His father.

He had never been in his life, Anthony had only had his mom.

His mother had told him the reason he could never be there was because he had International affairs to attend to. "Your father is always traveling, Anthony." April, his mother, told him.

Anthony wished he could meet him but the other side dreaded meeting him.

What would he be like? What would he look like? What would he sound like? Some cold and tired businessman?

He was then snapped back to the reality of his surroundings.

Realization hit him, this may be the last time he would ever see Sally, the kindest woman on this planet.

"Goodbye, Sally." he hugged her tightly. "I hope an eternity of happiness for you."

"Anthony, you remind me so much of my son." (4) Sally said, hugging him with the same strength. "Goodbye, Anthony."

Anthony then walked up to the door. He hesitated opening it. He looked back one more time and with that, he departed for his journey.

(1-10) = Author's Note/explanation.

(1): "Olympian silver" is a type of metal created by the fandom. Uncle Rick has not added "Olympian Silver" as a Cannon divine metal. "Olympian Silver" is just purely Fannon

(2): "Ethereal" is synonymous with divine. Same definition as divine, but written differently.

(3): In Greek Mythology the "Heavens" is Olympus. Yet so is Elysium and the isles of the blessed. But most commonly Olympus is considered the "Heavens".

(4): I'm not hinting at Anthony being a son of Poseidon. He is a son of a different god that I hinted at.

Note: I know this story isn't the best, so I would like you guys to review what you think. Please give Criticism on what I need to improve on. I'm only an amateur and I want to improve.
