Chapter 7

Sesshomarus POV – Talking to his father on the night Inuyasha was born.

Toga growled in anger and left to go and save his human wife Izayoi. Sesshomaru was left in confusion and frustration. He found himself in a state of turmoil over _, and his actions of what he'd done.

His memories flashed as he stood watching his fathers large Inu figure leave in the distance as the waves crashed.

Sesshoumarus memories flashed as pictures and moments. Over the last 47 years his connection and magnetic pull to _ had become undeniable. Her wise words and their agreements on the world. She was intelligent and a skilled warrior. The way she had no issue with him just coming to sit with her in comfortable silences, and never questioned or mocked his actions. How her calm nature was a balm to his cold one. How she never feared him or looked at him like everyone else did, she saw into his soul, she saw him. His desires to want to snatch her books from her so she'd look at him. Her smile every time she watched the sunrise. Her face was beautiful, innocent and gentle, and her scent, untamed and raw, how it overwhelmed him. It was as if he breathed in pure, unadulterated woman for the first time every time. The way she smiled and his heart danced making him want to throw up. His memories then flickered to when he had mated her; the way her face looked peaceful and vulnerable when she was unconscious. When he dressed her in cave before he coved the kimono over her collar bone, he looked at the marking once more before covering it. Despite what he had done, and what the mark signified, the urge to touch her, to care for her was stronger than his voice of reason.

The ache of his heart was nearly crippling as the memories flashed through him untamed and strong like a tsunami, the enormity of what he had done crashed down on him. His face felt pale with the shock and guilt. He cursed himself, his words low and filled with self-disgust. Why did his hand react on its own gently touch her face before he left, he shouldn't care, he shouldn't show her kindness. Shes a half breed.

His cold demeanour soon returned, the words 'You've claimed a half breed' stiffened him. That mate marking, no matter how he felt his inner demon feel contented by it was physical evidence and sign of his mistake. That was not supposed to happen, not now, not like this...not ever. He had claimed her, a half demon and worst of all marked her as his. The voice of reason now setting back in and his coldness returning.

He scoffed and turned to leave his eyes narrowed. "Why would I have reason to waste my time protecting someone, ridiculous."

Sesshomaru flew back toward the cave where he left _. On the way his eyes were narrowed and ice cold. He was going to kill her, she couldn't exist, she needed silencing. His chest was tight he felt sick. As he approached the cave he took a deep breath, his heart ached and he held his chest. His inner conflict was killing him. He was physically shivering. He couldn't hurt her; he didn't want too not really. What were these feelings? As he walked in, she was gone. His eyes widened and his heart raced, he quickly followed her scent which stopped at a river. Did she drown, where is she? Where did she run too, she was too weak to get away and get far. Her scent and her were both gone without a trace.

He growled and clenched his fists and his jaw tightened. "Where is she!" he scowled. She was his how dare anyone or anything take her from him.

That evening news of his father's passing took Sesshomaru over the edge. His hatred for half demons got re-enforced. His father had died saving a human and his half demon brother Inuyasha. The half demon woman that was his who he now could no longer find, hold, see, hear, smell, or even kill to get rid of vanished like her existence was false. He wanted to battle and kill his father for his title, not have it handed down to him due to his father's miserable death. He was confused and irritated.

To top it off his father didn't leave him his swords instead left him Tenseiga, a useless sword that was not made for supreme conquest.

His whole life was turned upside down, and his feelings for _ tugged at him for understanding but he chose to push them down and cover them in distain and disgust. Sesshomaru didn't want to face the frightening fact that he actually wanted her, that his inner demon did what his heart was longing for and what his conscious mind would not allow.

The dawn came, Sesshomaru was sat with his head in his hands under a tree he vowed he would kill Inuyasha when he was old enough to fight for Tessaiga. Sesshomaru would also wonder the lands killing powerful demons to make a name for himself and at the same time try to find _ and destroy her, so his mistake was wiped from the earth. These thoughts were the only way he could get himself up to move forward. He was fuelled by his arrogance, foolishness and hatred.

Your POV

You sat in the cave with Kuramas wives, your season had started and you hadn't realised as you were too busy with everything over the last week. You had cried a lot and your body felt weak, your heart and soul felt broken.

Kurama luckily was a sneaky nine tailed fox daiyokai and in the south his caves were the safest place you to be in. Kurama and his wives tried to council you through the pain a little but it was a bit too much in your current state. After a few days the wives had bathed you and made sure they were tending to your physical needs.

Your season and heat cycle were not intense and very short you assumed this was down to your mate marking however it wasn't, little did you know the seed of Sesshomaru had sewn its way into you. It was too early yet for you or anyone to smell it on you.
