Your POV

You had asked Kurama to go and tell Okami your adopted wolf demon father and Kyoko her half demon adopted sister; that she was safe but would not be returning home anytime soon. Kurama discreetly and carefully worded the situation. Assuring them that _ was safe and sound in his care.

Okami and Kyoko were both very shocked at the news of the mate mark Sesshomaru had left on you given his hatred toward humans and half demons. The news of Toga's passing also was spilled and Myoga was with Kurama. Myoga advised them along with Kurama that Mirai a powerful sorcerer with some sort of foresight which Toga trusted had advised that _ would be the one to truly carry-on Toga's legacy, however no one was aware how this would play out. It was made known that _ life will be filled with further conflict and hardship which will try and taint her pure and gentle heart.

Okami narrowed his eyes. "Sesshomaru had no right to touch her. This is confusing, but if you promise me _ is safe for the moment then I trust you, as Toga intrusted you. Thank you for caring for my daughter."

Kyoko then said "Will we ever get to see her again?"

Kurama nodded and responded cooly with confidence. "Of course, she will learn to work even more careful in the shadows with me from now on. When she knows it's safe, she will visit you. This may take time though. She has asked me to bring her mother's scrolls regarding her Miko heritage to her. May I please take them." Kyoko nodded and grabbed the scrolls.

"I take it you know who she truly is now then?" Okami said to Myoga and Kurama. They both nodded.

Myoga spoke. "Yes, Toga filled me in before he went to his death; saving Izayoi. He advised me to let Kurama know. We are the only two who know other than Totosai and both of you."

Okami nodded. "That is the way it will stay to keep her safe from Karinmaru and Inukimi. And now with her new mate Sesshomaru, who also doesn't realise who and what she truly is." Everyone nodded in agreement.

"He must like her to mark her surely, why would he harm her?" Kyoko said calmly.

Myoga shed some light from Toga's point of view. "Toga had watched their connection over the last 47 years. Sesshomaru would willingly seek her out when he knew she was around and sit with her. It's clear he had feelings for her by his actions, he had clear signs of obsession and possessiveness over her but he doesn't understand what those feelings truly mean, nor had or would he acknowledge it. Toga knew what Sesshomaru had done before he died and questioned Sesshomaru if he had anyone to protect, there was hesitation and then his cold response was, he had no need for such things. His path was only of supreme conquest. This is why Toga sent instruction to Kurama to hide her in longevity due to Sesshomarus destructive and irrational temperament. He is unpredictable and no one truly knows for sure what he will do to _. The best thing we can do is keep her from him."

Everyone nodded in agreement.

"I can only imagine how pained and confused she must be right now." Kyoko said with sadness.

Kurama nodded. "She is distraught and slowly processing the fate that was put upon her. However, we shall not tell her of Toga's true legacy lying with her due to the extra weight this may put on her shoulders. However, this all will unfold needs to be down to her, and her alone." Kurama said cooly.

Myoga and Kurama left with the scrolls, Myoga dropped off Kurama before he reached the South. No one could know where Kurama's caves were and for _ current safety and that's the way it would stay.

You sat in the cave huddled up in some blankets, Kurama had brought you books to read and then returned from Okami's with your mother's scrolls.

You smiled. "Thank you, are they all alright?" you asked curiously.

Kurama nodded. "Everyone is fine, you need to just worry about you from now on, do you understand?" you nodded.

"I'll try." you said calmly.

"May I ask why you needed your mothers' scrolls?" Kurama asked curiously, he sat next to you and put his arm around you.

"There may be a way I can leave this realm if it gets too unsafe, but I need to study how to do it. Me being alive could put many in danger but me disappearing may be on the cards." You advised, your intelligent nature shining through.

Kurama nodded "So it's true, Lotus Miko's can travel to the spirit realm?"

You nodded, "They can, but it's a technique I watched my mother try to perfect and she failed, she was going to take us both there before my father came to get me."

"Sounds difficult then." Kurama said his eyes narrowed.

"It will not be easy but with the free time I have here in hiding. I may be able to develop the skill." You smiled with optimism.

"You let me know if you need anything little flower." Kurama said cooly before leaving you to study the scrolls.

"There is one thing." You said your hand rubbing your collarbone. "Is the mate mark really permanent, is there no way of my getting it off my body?"

Kurama frowned. "I'm afraid not _. What Sesshomaru done is a forever, I'm so sorry."

You half smiled. "It's alright, but are there any perks to it?"

Kurama smiled mischievously. "Yes, you will sense him when he is close to you. This will help you avoid him. Also, your seasons and heat cycle will not be so intense."

You tilted your head curiously. "But if I can sense him, can he sense me?"

"No, the mark you bare is a part of him on you, but I do have something for you that Totosai gave Myoga." Kurama gave you a silver neck choker with a lilac stone, "As his mate he will be able to catch your scent easier, but this chocker will conceal your power and your scent from him and everyone else. Toga had this made for you, but Totosai had only just completed making it for you."

"For a blacksmith, he makes beautiful jewellery. Thank you, Kurama." You said with a small gentle smile, you admire the choker and Kurama helped put it on you. You brought your demonic energy and Miko powers to the surface and glowed with blue and gold electricity.

"Is it working?" you asked Kurama. Kurama nodded.

"Yes, I can't smell you now, or sense your powers. It is fulfilling its purpose." He grinned; he was happy that the choker had been created.

"Looks like Toga is here protecting me after all." you said, your eyes saddening slightly, but you also felt calm. Knowing Toga had put so much in place for you. You were not even his flesh and blood and yet he cared for you so deeply.

Over the course of the next month, you studied your mothers' scrolls, desperate to find a way to the spirit realm. You knew there your mother would be able to pass through from the underworld and help you. You realised your body had started to feel strange, your breasts were sore and you felt bloated. Morning you were being sick. Kurama and his wives' noticed. You knew what this meant but were in slight denial that you were pregnant, you weren't ready to face baring Sesshomarus child, as you practiced your Miko abilities.

Another two weeks passed and you got on your assassin's attire that one of Kuramas wives made for you. It was black top to bottom, black cloak and hood and mask to match. You put your swords on your back and headed out. You needed to find a shrine, but the shrine was in the West where your mother Hana was born in the planes of Musashi. (Kaede's village).

Due to needing to be stealthy you did not fly. You went on foot and ran through Kuramas caves to the other side of the south before then running toward the West and the planes of Musashi. When you went through the west your mate mark pulsed. This is how you knew Sesshomaru was nearby. You stopped and hid under a tree; you looked up and could see him flying above and over you. He was definitely looking for something or someone. His expression was cold and stoic. You held your breath, your eyes narrowed, part of you wanted to kill him. Your breathing got heavier and more panicked. Even though you didn't feel overly attached the growing child inside of you yet due to your depression. You also didn't want it to get destroyed if you got caught.

You stayed there for ten minutes before starting to move forward. You got to the village and it was dark. Before you could creep into it a figure appeared before you, you jumped back and drew your sword. It was a demon sorcerer, was she using her abilities to find you for Sesshomaru? She put her hands out in a peaceful way. "I'm not here to hurt you child. I am a friend of Toga's." The woman continued. "My name Mirai, I have the physic foresight. I mean you or your unborn child any harm."

How did she know you pregnant, that was some foresight. You relaxed slight but kept one sword out just in case.

"_, your unborn child cannot be in the next 8 months. Your heart is growing cold and this will also make your babies heart dark. You must get to the spirit realm and take your mother this pearl." *Mirai floated a white pearl to you. "Your child will need to be drawn out of you and incubated in the pearl. Once this is done your child must remain in the spirit realm with your mother. The child will not grow until put back into you."

"This sounds like madness. You're telling me I can keep my unborn child away and from developing almost in a frozen state when I get to the spirit realm?" You said, you didn't believe a word of it.

Mirai nodded. "Your mother is waiting _. You must leave the child in the incubated state for over 220 years from today. You will know when the child is ready to grown within you. But you must return here, where you are needed. Your heart must repair"

Your jaw dropped, 200 years, you had to wait over 200 years. "This sounds insane, I still haven't figure out how to get to the spirit realm. How do I know my child will survive this?"

"The prophecy of legacy will see it so _. Your mother is waiting." Mirai said before disappearing. You weren't sure whether you were, confused, in disbelief, relieved or disgusted by it all. However, the thought of seeing your mother, especially at this time with your heart ache and confliction was the most soothing thought you've had for the last month.

You were shaking and a tear fell as you looked to the moon. For the first time in a long time you prayed to the gods, to show you the way. To allow everything one day to be ok, and for you and your child's hearts to never be tainted by darkness and despair.

A light glowed from the shrine and you snuck in quickly, the golden lotus on your forehead appeared and hands glowed gold and a portal appeared. You could hear your mothers' lullaby and your body moved toward it and through the light. As you walked through you were standing on what looked like what, ahead of you was a mound of grass with a large shrine. The portal closed behind you. You walked toward the shrine slowly.

The lullaby ended and you saw a woman knelt outside the shrine. It was her, your mother. Hana looked at you, her smile was warm but her eyes saddened. She could see the pain in your eyes, how you looked fatigued and done over.

You walked toward her, tears started to stream, she stood and her arms extended for you. You fell into your mother's arms, you sobbed. She held you tight.

"There, there my daughter you are safe here in my arms. You have grown so big. I can protect you here." Hana spoke her voice gentle.

You looked at her wiping your tears. She put a hand on your belly. She looked at you and her eyes softened further with concern.

"Do you know why you were able to get here so easily _?" your mother asked.

You shook your head no. She smiled. "It's because you still have mostly a light and pure heart. I failed to get us here, due to the bitterness of what your father did to me." She said her voice filled with regret.

You pulled the pearl out. "My heart is darkening, isn't it? I can feel it mother, every day I feel the void inside of me grow like a branch of darkness is squeezing my heart. I feel myself going numb. Thats why I need to give you this, for the sake of me and my child?" you said your tears still streaming.

She nodded, "You got here in time, come, let us get the child safely into the pearl so they can incubate here in the spirit realm."

You followed your mother into the shrine. She told you to lie on the mattress on the floor. Her Lotus Flower appeared on her forehand and the pearl glowed above your belly. You felt a slight tug at your belly button and saw a tiny white orb float into the pearl. Your body suddenly no longer felt the pregnancy. The sickness feeling and breast tenderness left your body. You felt a slight pang of sadness, but also relief. Your mother floated the pearl into her hand.

"I will keep the child safe until the right time _. This child will now not be lost to the darkness. This is where your journey begins my daughter." Your mother spoke reassuringly.

"What do I do now. I don't want to leave here; can't I stay with you?" You asked your voice pleading.

Your mother smiled warmly. "Unfortunately, not my child, but I will be here with your unborn child ready for you."

"Do I have to go right now?" You said, your voice full of sadness.

Your mother shook her head and gave you a warm smile. "No, stay here for a few days, you need to rest. Your journey from here will be difficult. But me and Toga know you have what it takes _. To overcome it all."

You cried again with a smile. "I really hope so, I don't want to let you or Toga down mother." You looked at the pearl and kissed it on your mother's hand and spoke to it. "I can't let you down either. I may not know how to love you yet, but when I do, I will love you like the most precious gift in the world, you will be my universe. I will love you fiercely without fear, without darkness without numbness or resentment"

Your mother smiled and out her hand on your cheek. "You are so special _. And you are always and will always be loved."

Sesshomarus POV

Over the last month Sesshomaru searched every land high and low in search for _. Sesshomaru flew over the planes of Musashi and he felt eyes on him but could see nor sense anything. He shrugged it off as he flew over a human village. Sesshomaru landed not too far from the village, he was heading toward a waterfall to get a two headed staff. He heard fighting; he saw a gathering of small imp like demons fighting the demons which controlled the eastern Mountains. A large demon was about to eat a little imp but he was in his way as he wanted to walk on the path through the forest to investigate.

"You're in my way step aside." Sesshomaru said coldly to the large demon. The large demon stared at him.

Sesshomaru was already irritated and angry through recent events. He raised his claw and summoned his light whip.

"I said you're in my way...understand!" Sesshoumaru slice the large demon with one lash. He then took out the other demons. A small imp made his allies step aside as Sesshomaru sliced through the demons which controlled the Eastern Mountains. The imp like demons bowed on their knees as he walked through.

An imp started following him, saying how Sesshomaru had saved his life and wanted to be his servant. Sesshomaru said nothing got to the water fall and took the two headed staff from the waterfall. It wasn't much use to him, but he looked at the imp bowing and who'd followed him. "Might as well make him useful" Sesshomaru thought. Maybe the Imp could be helpful in his upcoming journey to find the Tessaiga.

The imp began following him from that moment forward, his name was Jaken.

Your POV

You stayed for a few days in the spirit realm. Your mother helped you a bit with your grief as you spoke about Sesshomaru finally after keeping his name from your lips since the ordeal. The advice she gave you was to have an open and compassionate heart, so that your heart does not become tainted and evil like your fathers.

She told you to believe that Sesshomaru could change for the better, and painful lesson will lead the way for him.

On the fourth day you knew you had to go. You said goodbye to your unborn baby in the pearl. You hugged your mother. She told you that you'll know when it's time to return and keeping your heart pure was the only way back.

Your mother opened a portal for you, you went through and it was the dead of night, you walked slowly out of the shrine, and hurried back to the south, back to Kurama and his wives.

When you got there Kurama smiled. You looked at him and also smiled. You were relived the baby was somewhere safe and explained to him how you were no longer pregnant but the baby was incubated in the spirit realm, and how 220 years, you would then have the child re-implanted into you so it could grow. He was curious and you went over the details. How your heart has started to taint and how to protect yourself and the lands from giving birth to a powerful and evil child which would feed on your darkness and resentment due to Sesshomaru.

Kurama eyes softened at your admission, you had admitted your own feelings of betrayal, emptiness, loneliness, grief, numbness and resentment. Your guilt for not feeling attached to the child due to your grief while you were pregnant.

"You are so brave _, admitting feelings as deep as that is the first stage of working through them. I have all faith in you. You little flower, have all the power here." Kurama said softly.

"Has there been any news on Sesshomaru since I've been away?" You asked curiously, you wanted to start training and venturing out to get some normality.

Kurama nodded his eyes stern. "Sesshomaru has been going around all lands, he has been taking out powerful demons and finding relics and artifacts of power. From what we know he's on a power rampage trying to find his father's Tessaiga, and kill his half demon brother Inuyasha when he comes of age. Totosai and Myoga have stayed away from him, they are the only ones who know where Toga's tomb is."

Your eyes narrowed. Your blood boiled. You knew the next thing was to find Izayoi and see how Inuyasha was, he would only be a month or so old. "Sesshomaru has some nerve. One day, his lessons will pain him. I wish (your heart pulsed with a pain) to kill him." you said holding your chest.

Kurama looked at you. "You must not hold onto the resentment _, you need to keep your heart pure and untainted." Kurama spoke concerned.
