Shark Tale has always been one of my favorite animated films to watch ever since childhood and I still enjoy watching the movie so much, and since I love Shark Tale so much, I decided to do a whole seventeen-part miniseries version of the movie that serves as a whole retelling of the movie which is known as When A Little Fish Tells A Great White Lie that has brand new scenes, brand new characters, brand new locations, different dialogue. Episode 3: You Are Your Own Person
Chapter 2: Father-Son Conflict
Later on that night at the RMS Titanic, the three Lino siblings Lenny, Frankie, and Teresa has already left the gymnasium of the RMS Titanic and began traveling throughout the hallways together after they have managed to pass their own sparring session with most of the members of the great white shark mafia in order to test out their own combat skills so they would be ready for the next crime spree that is usually carried out by the members of the Lino crime family as well as the other crime families of the Five Families of the Atlantic Ocean with the help of Luca and Yvette who serve as their instructors under their father Don Edward Lino's insistence.
Just as they traveled throughout the hallways of the RMS Titanic together, Lenny was still very upset by how much Frankie and the rest of the great white shark mafia insisted that he should be a vicious killer rather than being so tenderhearted even though they all did praised him for having really good combat skills just like the rest of the Lino crime family and everybody else in the mafia does, and he wishes that they would understand that he is just his own person no matter what and is unable to be a killer just like Frankie, their father Don Lino, and everybody else in the great white shark mafia due to being so different while Teresa really felt bad for him and wishes for everybody else to just accept Lenny for who he is since she has always been on his side and always encouraged him to be different no matter what.
"Lenny, you did such a good job on your combat skills just like we were at the gym from earlier." said Frankie.
"Yeah, Lenny, you were really amazing just like everybody else during the lessons," said Teresa.
"I already know that, and thank you very much for praising the success I did during the sparring session which proved to be so easy." said Lenny.
"However, you're still not acting like a killer just like the other sharks and it has always been one of the traditions of the Five Families ever since it was first established." said Frankie.
"We already know that, Frankie. Everybody in the whole crime family knows about that." said Teresa.
"Pop has always told us about it ever since we used to be young shark pups, and Grandpa Leonardo, who is his father has told him the same thing too." said Lenny.
"Also, even Great-Grandma Hortense told grandpa all about it and Great-Great Grandpa Quentin did the same thing for great-grandma." said Teresa.
"All of our ancestors who used to be the leader of the mafia and be in charge of the rest of the Five Families way before Pop did have learned all about the killer tradition," said Lenny.
"Mmm-hmm, and it has been going on for so many years ever since the great white shark mafia was first founded by our ancestors as well as bringing the Five Families together," said Teresa.
"True, and since the whole crime has always been killers and we've learned all of our ancestors learning about it, it's best that Lenny should be a killer too." said Frankie.
"What?" asked Teresa in shock.
"What did you just say, Frankie?" asked Lenny in shock.
"I still insist that you should start acting like a bloodthirsty killer since you're a shark and that's what all sharks have been ever since." said Frankie.
"You have got to be kidding." said Teresa.
"No, I'm serious, and I insist that Lenny should do it as much as Pop and everybody else in the mafia does." said Frankie. "Especially that the mobsters has been talking about him
"Look, you can't just expect me to be a killer just like the other sharks and I'm just me," said Lenny.
"But you have to at least be a killer for once, and if you do, it would make everybody delighted. Including our Pop since he's the one who's in charge of this whole business." said Frankie.
"Frankie, will you please just leave Lenny alone about this? Just leave him alone all about this for once." said Teresa. "Sheesh. Just 'cause he's so different doesn't mean he has been a cold-blooded killer just like everybody else is."
"Well, Teresa, he's got to become a killer somehow and it's the main tradition of the Five Families and it always has been the main tradition," said Frankie.
"We know, but you should understand that I just…" said Lenny just as he tried to explain, but Frankie interrupted him.
"I've made up my mind, and Pop and everybody else has made up their own minds and it's for the best that you be a killer or else." said Frankie.
"Please, Frankie, you really need to understand that Lenny is actually…" said Teresa just as she tried to explain, but Frankie interrupted her.
"Okay, you two. We should get ready for dinnertime and I am so starving." said Frankie.
"Alright, Frankie. Alright" said Lenny in annoyance just as he groaned.
"If you say so, big brother." said Teresa in annoyance just as she scoffed.
"Oh, and by the way, tonight is the next traditional Sunday dinner of the Five Families, and that's the best dinnertime of the mafia there is. I can't wait." said Frankie.
"We can't wait for it either," said Teresa in annoyance.
"Hooray for the big event tonight, Big Brother." said Lenny in annoyance.
The three Lino siblings continue to travel throughout the hallway just as they all prepare to have dinner together since it's almost dinnertime for the whole great white shark mafia which turns out to be the traditional Sunday dinner of the Five Families which Frankie is very excited about while Lenny and Teresa are greatly dismayed that he wouldn't listen to what he's trying to say that Lenny is actually his person and doesn't have to be a cold-blooded killer like the other sharks just like how much their father Don Lino and the rest of the Lino crime family wouldn't listen to them at all of what they're trying to say about Lenny and how he being so different isn't a problem at all.
Soon, just as the continue to travel throughout the hallways together and began preparing for the next traditional Sunday dinner of the Five Families which is tonight, and Lenny and Teresa continue to feel very dismayed by how Frankie wouldn't listen to him just like Pop and everybody else in the great white shark mafia wouldn't listen to their insistence that Lenny is okay being so different from the other sharks and there's nothing wrong about him being so gentle and friendly rather than being so vicious and savage, they are soon meet up with Don Lino who has been looking for Lenny and is intending on having a conversation with Lenny about his compassionate behavior and insists that he could just be aggressive just like Frankie and the other sharks as well as himself are already are which caused Lenny to become dismayed even more than ever while Teresa also became even more dismayed since he has always been on his side and strongly encouraged his decision to just be himself.
"Hello, Frankie, Lenny, and Teresa." Don Lino greeted.
"Hi, Pop." Lenny greeted.
"Hey, Pop." Frankie greeted.
"Salutations, Daddy." Teresa greeted.
"What are you three doing this evening?" asked Don Lino.
"Oh, it's nothing," said Teresa.
"We're just getting ready for dinner," said Lenny.
"Also, we heard that it's the next traditional Sunday dinner tonight too," said Frankie.
"True, and the other mafias of the Five Families should be arriving any minute to begin the one of the important events of the whole criminal underworld," said Don Lino. "Also, before we could start the whole thing with the rest of the mafias, there is something I need to tell Lenny."
"Huh? You wanna tell me something?" asked Lenny in surprise.
"Yes, and I need to take it to the kitchen," said Don Lino.
"The kitchen? For what?" asked Lenny in surprise.
"You'll see, Lenny. You'll see what I need to tell you in the kitchen." said Don Lino. "Frankie, Teresa, I need to have a conversation with Lenny about something very important, and while I talk to him, you continue to prepare for the next Sunday dinner and make sure you notice that everybody else of the Five Families will join us for tonight since it's for all the mafias of the criminal organization."
"Okay." said Frankie.
"Alright," said Teresa.
"I'll see ya later, and the conversation between me and Lenny won't be that long," said Don Lino. "See ya later."
Don Lino then took Lenny with him to the kitchen of the RMS Titanic while Lenny looked very surprised upon learning that Don Lino wishes that he would have a conversation with him in the kitchen and even Lenny's two siblings Frankie and Teresa were very shocked by how he wished to have a conversation with him in the kitchen, and unbeknownst to Lenny and his two siblings Frankie and Teresa, the main reason why Don Lino wishes to have a conversation with Lenny is about his gentle behavior and expects him to be an aggressive shark just like Frankie and the rest of the sharks as well as himself after he has learned from some of the members of his great white shark mafia all about he is so unwilling to kill anything and commit any crimes at all which include of how he was so unwilling to carry out the bank robbery of the Splash Savings Bank in Southside Reef from earlier and unable to kill anybody at the bank either.
While Don Lino and Lenny went to the kitchen together so Don Lino could have a conversation with him about something which is very important which is actually having a conversation about him being so compassionate rather than being aggressive which Lenny as well as his two siblings Lenny and Teresa are completely unaware of at that point, Frankie and Teresa look at each other in surprise for a moment and began quietly follows both their father Don Lino and their brother Lenny so they could see how the conversation between the two would turn out while they are unaware of what the conversation will be really all about which is how Don Lino has been hearing from the members of his mafia about Lenny being so different from the other sharks and his unwillingness to commit any crimes and kill anybody at all.
Soon, both Don Lino and Lenny arrive at the kitchen of the RMS Titanic where the many great white shark chefs are preparing the many meals for the next traditional Sunday dinner of the Five Families which are many meatless dishes such as meatless pizza, meatless calzones, meatless submarine sandwiches, meatless spaghetti and meatballs, meatless lasagna, meatless ravioli, meatless tortellini, meatless sausages, meatless salamis, meatless capocollos, and meatless bresaola since it turns out besides eating many different kinds of sea creatures that serves as the sharks' main prey which are fish, stingrays, dolphins, crabs, shrimp, seals, sea otters, and sea turtles, they would eat anything that is completely meatless products since it still looks like meat and tastes like meat.
Also, besides preparing the many meatless food products for the traditional Sunday dinner, the many great white shark chefs are preparing to slaughter some of the citizens of Southside Reef that has been captured by the members of the Lino crime family so they would become the next catch of the day, and some of the citizens of the reef that has been captured by the crime family from before are some fish, some crabs, some seals, some stingrays, some shrimp, some dolphins, and some sea turtles are being imprison in some cages together and they are all filled with complete fear since they're about to become the main course of the sharks during one of their traditional Sunday dinners with the rest of the Five Families of the Atlantic Ocean.
While they are preparing the many meatless meals and are preparing to slaughter the captive citizens of the reef to make them the catch of the day for the Sunday dinner of the Five Families, the great white shark chefs are preparing many desserts such as cannolis, gelatos, zeppoles, sfogliatella, and creme caramel and they are also many beverages such as beer, wine, liquor, cocktails with small umbrellas, whiskys, vodkas, rums, gins and tequilas, and they are being assisted by a group of sawsharks who serve as butlers to the Lino crime family and a group of nurse sharks who serve as maids to the Lino crime family and they are all preparing to delivery the many meatless meals, the captured citizens of the reef once they will be slaughtered, the many desserts, and the many alcoholic beverages on the many delivery carts that has many silver platters with lids, glass cups, bowls, forks, spoons, and knives.
Once both Don Lino and Lenny has arrived at the kitchen of the RMS Titanic where all of the great white shark chefs are preparing everything for the traditional Sunday dinner of the Five Families with the help of the many sawshark butlers and the many nurse shark maids who are preparing to delivery everything once the traditional Sunday dinner begins by using the many delivery carts, Don Lino proceeds to have the conversation with Lenny all about how he has been acting so different from the other sharks which is being so compassionate and friendly rather than being so vicious and bloodthirsty just like Frankie and the other sharks are, and how he insists that he should be a cold-blooded killer, especially since that he will become the next crime boss of the great white shark mafia and be in charge of the rest of the Five Families along with his two siblings Frankie and Teresa when he retires, much to Lenny's own dismay.
"So, you're wondering why I brought you here to have a conversation, Lenny." said Don Lino.
"Yes, Pop, why did you bring me here in the kitchen to have the conversation anyway?" asked Lenny.
"Well, it's about your behavior and there's something wrong with you." said Don Lino.
"What about my behavior, and what do you mean by what's wrong with me?" asked Lenny.
"It's how you are being so gentle and being so unwilling to kill anything and commit any crimes," said Don Lino.
"You're right about what you just said about me, and I just don't have the heart to do any of that stuff the mafia has been doing for so long." said Lenny.
"Look, I honestly thought that you're capable of being a cold-blooded killer just like your older brother Frankie and the other sharks could." said Don Lino.
"But you were absolutely wrong about that and there's no way I could be just like the other sharks 'cause I'm just me," said Lenny.
"That's the whole problem about you, Lenny." said Don Lino
"Huh?" asked Lenny in shock.
"The members of my mafia have been telling me things about you being so different from you being so friendly." replied Don Lino. "Including Luca and Yvette has been telling me those things about you and Sykes before I fired him for making jokes about your own behavior which I had doubts about."
"You had?" asked Lenny.
"Yes, and at first I thought they were just exaggerating about you not being a killer, but I finally realized they were absolutely right about you all along." said Don Lino.
"Pop, I wasn't being a killer, alright. I was never being a killer and I was just being myself, that's all." said Lenny.
"True, but it's turning out to be a problem. I mean, a really big problem for me and everybody else in the crime family, Son." said Don Lino.
"Look, what are you trying to say?" asked Lenny
"What I'm saying is that are you alright with being so compassionate?" asked Don Lino in concern.
"Actually, Pop, yes. Yes, I am okay with being so gentle and that's the way I am." replied Lenny.
"Since you're okay with being that way, I'm not okay with you being like that, and the rest of the mafia isn't okay with it either." said Don Lino.
"What?" asked Lenny in shock.
"Maybe you should just be a cold-blooded killer for once just like your brother Frankie and the rest of the sharks of the mafia are cold-blooded killers already including myself." said Don Lino.
"Why, Pop? Why do you want me to be a cold-blooded killer just like Frankie and everybody else including you already?" asked Lenny in shock.
"Because it has always been one of the main traditions of the great white shark mafia as well as the other mafias of the Five Families." explained Don Lino. "The Five Families has always consists of the great white shark mafia, the hammerhead shark mafia, the leopard shark mafia, the killer whale mafia, and the swordfish mafia and the great whites has always been in charge of the mafia while they had their own crime bosses, and we've always been killers and would commit crimes together in the reef most of the time ever since it has been established by one of our ancestors who founded the crime family."
"I already know it has always been one of the traditions of the whole mafia as well as the rest of the Five Families, but that doesn't mean I have to be like everybody else." replied Lenny.
"But I insist that you should become a killer, and you being such a friendly shark ends right now tonight." said Don Lino.
"Pop, please understand that I really don't have to…" said Lenny just as he tried to explain, but Don Lino suddenly interrupted him.
"That's enough, Lenny, and in order to make you a killer, I want you to do this." said Don Lino.
Don Lino suddenly takes Lenny's finn, and they then went up to some great white shark chefs who are preparing to slaughter some of the fish citizens of Southside Reef by beheading them with a very large cleaver knife while some of the great white shark chefs also continue to make the many other meatless products for the traditional Sunday dinner along with the help of the sawshark butlers and the nurse shark maids who are preparing to deliver everything to each of the members of the Five Families by using the delivery carts, and he began insisting to the chefs as well as the butlers and the maids that Lenny should try out to butcher some of the fish citizens by beheading them with the cleaver knife in order to become a killer for real which they agree to do so while Lenny became very nervous about beheading one of the fish citizens of the reef since he really doesn't have the heart to kill anybody just like the other sharks would.
"Hey, guys." Don Lino greeted.
"Oh, hello, Don Edward Lino." great white shark chef #1 greeted.
"Hey, Boss." nurse shark maid #1 greeted.
"Hi, sir." sawshark butler #1 greeted.
"How's the meals for the traditional Sunday dinner coming?" asked Don Lino.
"They're doing great, and the meatless spaghetti, meatless lasagna, meatless ravioli, and the rest of the meatless products are almost ready." said great white shark chef #2
"Also, the many desserts such as the gelato, cannoli, and zeppole are almost ready as well." said sawshark butler #'2.
"And the many beverages such as the wine, beer, and liquor are being ready along with the meals and desserts too." said nurse shark maid #2.
"Oh, and how about the catches of the day which are some of the citizens of Southside Reef that have been locked up in the freezer for a while? How are they?" asked Don Lino.
"They're doing very well as much as the usual meals, desserts, and beverages, and the great white shark mafia still have them captive." said great white shark chef #3.
"And each of are about to be made into the next main course for the whole Five Families." said sawshark butler #3.
"That's right, the citizens of Southside Reef that has been captured and locked up in the freeze are about to be butchered for tonight's Sunday dinner too." said nurse shark maid #3.
"Also, besides them being slaughtered in order to made into meals along with everything else, we're gonna have each of them be tied up as well." said great white shark chef #4.
"The fish, the crab, the seals, the sea turtles, and the stingrays shall be bound and gagged in seaweed on the silver platters." said sawshark butler #4.
"And the shrimp shall be served on some of the cocktails too." said nurse shark maid #4.
"Those are all really good to here, you guys, and everything must be prepared once the rest of the Five Families arrive at the RMS Titanic for the Sunday dinner." said Don Lino. "Also, before everything could get started for the Sunday dinner as we planned, may I do something with Lenny, please?"
"Yeah, what is it, Boss?" asked great white shark chef #5.
"You see, about Lenny not being a killer, I would like to instruct him on how to be one by beheading one of the fish that has been captured by the mafia," said Don Lino.
"You wanna teach Lenny how to have a fish citizen of the reef be beheaded for tonight's Sunday dinner?" asked nurse shark maid #5.
"And you wanna teach him that kind of thing in order for him to learn how to be a killer?" asked sawshark butler #5.
"Yes. Is it okay for him to behead one of the fish so he could see what a cold-blooded killer is really all about since it's one of the traditions of the Five Families?" asked Don Lino.
"Yeah, sir." said great white shark chef #6.
"Sure he can." said sawshark butler #6.
"Of course, Don Lino." said nurse shark maid #6.
"Good, and thank you very much." said Don Lino. He turns back to Lenny. "Now, Lenny, let's do it."
"Really?" asked Lenny in dismay.
"Yes, and you gotta make it a success too." said Don Lino.
Then, one of the great white shark chefs give Don Lino a very large cleaver knife and Don Lino gives the cleaver knife to Lenny so he could use to have one of the fish citizens that has been captured by the great white shark mafia along with the other innocent citizens of Southside Reef in order to make each of them the main course of the mafia, and a sawshark butler and a nurse shark maid both bring a very terrified captive fish completely strained on a cutting board while he's bound and gagged in seaweed in order to be prevented from escaping from the cutting board and they put it on a counter for Lenny to have the captive fish be beheading by using the cleaver knife which Don Lino strongly expects him to do in order to become a cold-blooded killer.
"Pop, that fish…that fish looks very frightened on that cutting board," said Lenny.
"Yeah, the fish is really afraid, Lenny, and that's the whole point of making them the main course. Now cut his head off and turn it into a meal for the mafia." said Don Lino.
"But…But I don't know that I should..." said Lenny nervously.
"Just do it already. Just slice the fish's head off for the traditional Sunday dinner, and this is your big chance to become a killer for real." said Don Lino. "It's really easy! Do it now! Do it and then you
Lenny stared at the very large cleaver knife that Don Lino gave to him to slice off the very terrified fish citizen on the cutting board in complete nervousness for a moment and then he stared at the very terrified fish citizen on the cutting board in complete nervousness for a moment as well, and Don Lino as well as the great white shark chefs, the sawshark butlers, and the nurse shark maids all expect Lenny to kill off the fish on the cutting board so he could finally become a killer for real since everybody in the great white shark mafia has been talking about Lenny being such a friendly shark rather than being a vicious shark. Lenny continue to stare at both the cleaver knife and the fish on the cutter board in complete nervousness, and then he finally makes up his mind that he is unable to bring himself to kill the fish on the cutter board since he doesn't have the heart to do so and is way too kindhearted to do so as well just as he dropped the large cleaver knife on the ground which greatly shocks.
"No! No, I can't do it!" exclaimed Lenny.
"What?!" exclaimed Don Lino.
"I can't do it, Pop! Not at all!" exclaimed Lenny.
"Why won't you?!" exclaimed Don Lino.
"I just can't, and I won't!" exclaimed Lenny.
"Just do it, Lenny!" exclaimed Don Lino.
"I'm so sorry, but I just can't and I won't either!" exclaimed Lenny.
"Look, I expect you to just kill that fish and make it the next meal of the Sunday dinner!" exclaimed Don Lino.
"I won't do it at all, and…and I just bring myself to kill that fish on the cutting board!" exclaimed Lenny.
"Lenny, you have got to be kidding me!" exclaimed Don Lino.
"I'm serious, Pop, and I just don't have the heart to kill that poor fish! I can't and I won't!" said Lenny. "Look, I'm so sorry, but I'm unable to do it at all and that's how it is!"
Don Lino gasped in complete shock over Lenny's refusal to kill the bound and gagged fish on the cutting board with the very large cleaver knife while the many great white shark chefs, the many sawshark butlers, and the many nurse shark maids gasped in complete shock over Lenny's unwillingness to kill the fish on the cutting board while even the fish on the cutting board was very shocked by how Lenny was so unwilling to kill him with the cutting knife to make him a meal of the traditional Sunday dinners of the Five Families. Also, Lenny began glaring at Don Lino for attempting to force him to kill the fish with the large cleaver knife in order to have him beheaded and he continued to refuse to kill it since he's unable to do so at all and has a really kind and gentle heart to do so.
Since Lenny has refused to kill the fish by using the very large cleaver knife, Don Lino's very shocked expression suddenly became very furious just as he became very frustrated over Lenny's unwillingness to kill anything due to having such a tender heart while the chefs, butlers, and maids couldn't believe how Lenny refused to kill the fish at all due to being so friendly, and Don Lino furiously took away the very large cleaver knife from Lenny and proceeds to use it to kill the fish by himself which caused Lenny to become filled with shock since he couldn't stand fish to die at all. Don Lino quickly raises the cleaver knife up in the air and uses it to slice the head off of the fish which caused Lenny to gasp in even more shock while the chefs, butlers, and maids became very delighted by how Don Lino has beheaded the captive fish on the cutting board for the traditional Sunday dinner of the Five Families.
Once Don Lino has killed the fish on the cutting board out of pure rage and frustration over Lenny's unwillingness to kill anything and having such a really tender personality, he proceeds to scold Lenny for his refusal to kill anything as well as refusing to commit any crimes along with the rest of the great white shark mafia while he expresses disappointment and embarrassment over Lenny's friendly nature as well while Lenny became greatly upset by how much his father expects him to be a cold-blooded killer just the other sharks are already cold-blooded killers and he already know that he could never become a killer at all because he's just the way he is.
"POP!" exclaimed Lenny.
"Sorry, but I had to do it since you couldn't!" exclaimed Don Lino.
"But you didn't have to kill that poor fish!" exclaimed Lenny.
"Well, I just did, and that's 'cause you are way too kind to do so!" exclaimed Don Lino.
"Look, will you please just listen to me for once!" exclaimed Lenny.
"No, you listen to me, Lenny! I am fed up with you always being so friendly and wouldn't do anything to kill anything at all! You must be a killer no matter what!" exclaimed Don Lino.
"I'm not the one losing my mind, you are!" exclaimed Lenny.
"What did you just say to me?!" exclaimed Don Lino.
"You heard what I said, and it's 'cause of how you've always wanted me to be just like Frankie and the rest of the crime family who are killers!" exclaimed Lenny.
"Well, this is the great white shark mafia and we've always been killers, and I still insist that you start acting like a killer for once!" exclaimed Don Lino.
"Pop, please understand that I just…" said Lenny just as he tried to explain, but Don Lino interrupted him.
"Just listen to me, will ya?! You are a shark and it's for the best that you become a killer just like your older brother Frankie and the other sharks of this whole mafia!" exclaimed Don Lino.
"How could you even say that?! I'm just myself and I like just the way I am, and that is something you must understand!" exclaimed Lenny.
"Oh, I understand, Lenny. I understand that very well." said Don Lino.
"Wait a minute? You do?" asked Lenny in surprise.
"Yes. I understand that you are being so difficult about this whole tradition of being cold-blooded killers which the whole family has been following for so long!" exclaimed Don Lino.
"Pop, how could you do this?! I can't believe you're doing this to me!" exclaimed Lenny.
"Well, you're just gonna have to face the fact that you must be a killer one of these days which is gonna be sooner or later!" exclaimed Don Lino.
"Look, just 'cause I'm so different doesn't mean I have to be a killer like everybody else in the crime family are!" exclaimed Lenny.
"But you better be for once, and by the way, Lenny, this isn't over!" exclaimed Don Lino.
"What?! What's not over, Pop?! You tell me about it!" exclaimed Lenny in dismay.
"What's not over is trying to get you to understand that you somehow must understand that being killers is part of the tradition and you must follow that tradition," said Don Lino.
"Huh?! What did you just say?!" asked Lenny in dismay.
"You heard me, you're gonna follow the tradition of being a killer just like everybody else are and you better do it!" exclaimed Don Lino.
"Pop, you can't do that!" exclaimed Lenny in dismay.
"I can and I just did. So, let's face it, Lenny, you're gonna be a killer, and it's gonna happen the easy or the hard way!" exclaimed Don Lino.
Lenny attempts to say something to his father Don Lino about how much that he couldn't expect him be a cold-blooded killer just like Frankie and the rest of the members of the great white shark mafia and should at least understand that he his just himself as a friendly shark, but he honestly doesn't know what the say next since he's very dismayed by how much his father Don Lino isn't accepting him for who he is and sighed in complete depression over his father expecting him to be a killer just like the other sharks are while Don Lino just glare furiously at him and was very frustrated at him for being such a compassionate shark rather than being a vicious shark and expects him to be vicious no matter what since it has always been on of the traditions of the Five Families to do so just as the great white shark chefs, the sawshark butlers, and the nurse shark maids are equally disappointed in Lenny for his gentle nature as much as Don Lino is.
While Lenny was in a complete state of depression and was very upset over the fact of how Don Lino isn't accepting him for who he is and expects him to be a killer and Don Lino is very disappointed and embarrassed by how Lenny is being so compassionate rather than being so savage, unbeknownst to them and everybody else in the kitchen of the RMS Titanic, both Lenny's two siblings Frankie and Teresa has overheard the whole heated argument between their brother and their father, and Teresa really felt bad for Lenny since he has always been on his side and his supported him being so different from the other sharks and Frankie strongly agreed with Don Lino's insistence on becoming a killer while he also began to feel bad for Lenny and quickly decides that if Lenny isn't that much interested in being a killer and being a criminal, then he and Teresa would have to become the next Dons of the great white shark mafia themselves one of those days when Don Lino retires.
"Frankie, can't you believe this?" asked Teresa.
"Believe what?" asked Frankie.
"You know, by how much Daddy is forcing Lenny to be a killer even though he isn't interested in doing so," said Teresa.
"What, Teresa, that's Lenny's own problem, not Pop's problem." replied Frankie.
"No, it's not his problem at all and it is Daddy's problem." said Teresa.
"How it's Pop's problem anyway?" asked Frankie in surprise.
"It's 'cause of how he is expecting Lenny to be a bloodthirsty shark and isn't accepting him to be just himself." replied Teresa.
"Are you serious about what you just said?" asked Frankie.
"Yes, and I insist that Daddy should just understand that Lenny is just his own person and that's it." said Teresa.
"Well, I'm sorry but I strongly agree with Pop, Sis, and Lenny should just be a killer for once in his life since it has been one of the most important traditions of the sharks." said Frankie.
"You've got to be kidding." said Teresa in dismay.
"I'm serious, and everybody in the crime family has always been cold-blooded killers ever since it was first founded by our ancestors." asked Frankie.
"I know, but that doesn't mean he should be a killer just like everybody else is," said Teresa.
"Yes, he does," said Lenny.
"No, he doesn't." said Teresa
"I already know that I'm so willing to commit crimes and you're willing to commit crimes too when we're going on a crime spree with the mobsters of the mafia," said Frankie. "But we both already know that Lenny is so unwilling to commit any crimes at all, and that's a problem."
"It's not a problem at all." said Teresa.
"Yes, it is, and Lenny is way too kind to do what the mafia has usually done throughout those years," said Frankie.
"'Cause Lenny is just Lenny, that's all, and he really doesn't have to be a killer anyway and I strongly support his decision very much." said Teresa.
"You've always supported Lenny to be so different from the other sharks, Teresa," said Frankie.
"That's right, and that's 'cause I've always loved Lenny just the way he is," said Teresa.
"I love Lenny too as much as I love Pop and the rest of the crime family." said Frankie.
"I know, and I love Daddy so much and Lenny loves him too as much as he loves the family, but he is being way too stubborn to understand that Lenny is just himself." said Teresa. "Look, Lenny is just a friendly shark and there's no way he could ever be a killer."
"If that's so, then maybe it's for the best that you and me should become the next crime bosses of the mafia." said Frankie.
"Huh? What did you just say?" asked Teresa in surprise.
"You know, Teresa, even though I do expect that Lenny should be bloodthirsty and vicious just like Pop and everybody else does, but if he wants to be himself, then so be it." said Frankie. "He can go ahead and be such a gentle shark rather than being a killer, and we could run the reef together while Lenny could live his own life."
"I'm glad to hear that you at least show some sympathy towards Leny's dilemma with Daddy and the rest of the mafia for being so different, Frankie." said Teresa. "And you've always shown some sympathy towards Lenny for being so different and the dilemma he is right now which is Pop always questioning him for who he is rather than for accepting him for who he is."
"True, and if Lenny doesn't really wanna be a killer at all, he could do whatever we wanna do himself and we'll run the reef together when Pop retires." said Frankie.
"Thank you very much, Frankie. Thank you for understanding Lenny's decision as much as I already understand it very well." said Teresa. "Also, besides us, our mother Mildred understands his decision to be different very well and she always has."
"I know," said Frankie.
Both Frankie and Teresa continue to witness the whole conflict between their brother Lenny and their father Don Lino due to Lenny being so different from the other sharks and his unwillingness to kill anything and commit any crimes at all, and Teresa continues to feel very bad for Lenny since Don Lino expects him to be a vicious shark rather than being a friendly shark and Teresa has always supported his decision to be so friendly no matter what and even though Frankie does expects Lenny to be a killer just like Don Lino and everybody else does in the great white shark mafia, he strongly shows sympathy towards Lenny's decision if he really does wanna become a killer or not, and he understands that if he doesn't want to be a killer like the other sharks, then he and Teresa will become the brand new crime bosses of the mafia when Don Lino retires as the crime boss.
Also, Frankie and Teresa are fully aware that not only they show sympathy towards Lenny's decision to be different from the other sharks which they will have no choice but to run the Lino crime family together after Don Lino retires while Frankie still expects Lenny to become a killer as much as Don Lino and everybody else in the Lino crime family does, their own mother Mildred has already show sympathy towards his own decision of being so different from the other sharks which delights Teresa very much since she has always been on Lenny's side no matter what and has always loved Lenny just the way he is while she expects Don Lino to just accept Lenny for who he is rather than questioning him for who he is and expecting him to be a killer just like everybody else in the mafia does and she is fully aware that Mildred expects the same thing since it turns out she's on Lenny's side and always supported his decision to be so different very much as she always does.
