Harry Potter, had lived a rather distasteful life with his new family.
The Dursleys were not fond of him, at all. They did their best to keep him out of sight. Well, the elder Dursleys did.
The youngest, Dudley Dursley had taken it upon himself to make sure that his life would remain pitiful.
Harry chasing, was a game created to torment him.
Being called a Freak was not uncommon, sometimes Harry himself felt that they were right.
Whenever he had his memories or so, he called them. They were much less than memories. More like glimpses of a foggy past.
The life of a boy named Harold Peverell. Magic and weird creatures.
He had seen them in his vision.
Harry had thought on many occasions about the identity of Harold Peverell. Was he just imagination? Maybe a Past life?
Harry didn't know. However, these memories had brought him towards the truth about himself.
Magic!
It was indeed real. Harry had done it himself on many occasions, though they were not on purpose. They were still real.
Harry had remembered the first time he had done Magic.
*Cut*
"It's awful, it's so damn similar to his hair. I'll cut, I don't care." Harry heard a seething voice from outside his cupboard/room.
The voice was heavy as it belonged to an equally heavy man. Vernon Dursley. He was standing next to Harry's Aunt, Petunia.
"Do what you want." Petunia said.
Harry felt an uneasy feeling grow in his chest.
He was certain that the hair that was going to be cut was his own.
Harry felt his heart skip a beat as the cupboard door opened.
"Boy, Come out!" Vernon demanded with a trimmer in his hand.
"No! I won't let you cut my hair." Harry said defiantly, his voice although low was loud enough for Vernon to hear.
Smack!
Harry felt pain on his cheek.
"You live in MY house. You should be thankful to have a place to stay at." Vernon said with anger.
He yanked Harry out by his arm.
Harry who was evidenly malnourished did not have the strength to fight off aginst the orc.
Harry tried to put his hands over his head, however the man quickly grabbed both of his hands in his own.
Being a four year old, Harry did not stand much of a chance.
He watched with tears as the man trimmed all of his hair off.
Harry woke up with tears in his eyes. He looked at his broken watch and stared at the time.
Harry woke up with tears in his eyes. He looked at his broken watch and stared at the time.
Snivelling, Harry slowly got up and made his way outside to do his chores.
Harry slowly walked into a kitchen, where Petunia was cooking her breakfast.
"Go and make-" Petunia looked behind her but stopped when she saw the four year old.
"AHHHHHHHH!" She shrieked.
Vernon quickly made his way to his wife, not noticing Harry.
"Dear, what happened?" He asked in panick.
"He. he.. He-" Petunia pointed at Harry with fear.
Vernon turned around confused but his eyes widened when he saw Harry standing infront of him.
"You.. FREAK!" He shouted in panick.
Vernon rushed towards Harry and yanked him by the hair.
"How did you do this? ANSWER ME!" Vernon demanded an answer.
"I don't know."
Harry couldn't think straight as Vernon pulled him by the hair.
Vernon quickly took out another pair of trimmers from a cabinet.
Harry felt a stinging pain as his hair started to fall off once again.
*Cut*
This continued for a few days. Harry would regrow his hair and Vernon would cut them off again.
After some time Vernon had gotten fed up with repeating the process and had given up.
That day Harry had discovered that his froggy visions had some truth to them.
Another time Harry had teleported himself to the top of a school building.
It was during a round of Harry Chasing. Dudley and his friends were about to gang up on him.
He had closed his eyes waiting to get beat up, but when he had opened them again he was on top of a school building.
That day he had spent locked up in his cupboard.
From then on, Harry had tried many times to do Magic on purpose. But never once was he able to do it.
He had lost hope many times, but he knew that he at least had magic.
This hope had caused an obsession with magic. Harry would go to his school library and read any books with a tiny bit of magic in them.
This had caused his teachers to be slightly worried about it. However, they left it as a child's imagination.
Six Years had passed since Harry had first learned about Magic
In a few weeks, his birthday was coming. Not that it mattered much. Harry did not remember a time he had celebrated his Birthday.
Today was also a birthday. The birthday of his prick of a cousin.
"Thirty-six. But Last time. last time it was Thirty-seven." Harry heard Dudley complain while cooking breakfast.
"Alright Dudkins, We'll get you two more presents for you on the way to the zoo," Petunia said not wanting him to throw a tantrum.
"That's my boy, He knows how to get his money's worth." Vernon said with a chuckle.
His eyes turned towards Harry.
"Hurry Up boy, bring me my coffee." He ordered with disdain.
Harry felt an urge to punch the man but he ignored him.
Over the years his "memories" had become more clear. They were more vivid.
He remembered the face of Harold's mother. Lena. He also learned about his father Ignotus and brother Leonard.
In his memories, he would see how much they would love each other. How Ignotus along with Leonard always protected Harold.
How they hunted together.
He had also started seeing some froggy memories of Ignotus teaching the two magic.
Harry felt jealous whenever he thought about Harold and his life.
However, he didn't feel jealous about one thing. Harry didn't know if the particular memory was Harold's.
But every month on the Seventh. He would always have the same nightmare.
It was never clear and seemed foggy. However, it always terrified him.
The dream started with him staring into two dark voids.
Then a strong pressure overtook him. A being? would come in front of him.
It was bony and had shadows covering him. It was terrifying to look at.
The being would talk to a man. They would argue.
Then the pressure would increase tenfold.
He could feel pain in every part of his body.
He felt like he would die at any moment. The being would however stop and he would wake up.
The dream although short always felt like it went on for hours.
Harry shivered at the thought of the figure and quickly finished making breakfast.
Cut*
Harry stood in front of a cage. Inside of it was a sleeping snake.
"Move. Move!" Harry covered his ears as Dudley started to bang the glass.
It was his first time at the zoo.
The only reason Harry was able to come here was because Mrs Figgs, the woman who would naturally look after him, had to go to the hospital.
Harry stopped covering his ears as Dudley left to go see another animal.
"Finally. He issss. gone~" Harry's eyes widened as he seemingly heard the snake speak.
"Did you jusssssst ssssspeak¿" Harry asked unknowingly slithering as well.
"Oh, a sssssspeaker~" The snake opened its eyes and slithered towards Harry.
Suddenly, Harry was pushed out of the way. Dudley slammed himself towards the wall.
"Look. look. it's awake." Dudley said while staring at the snake with an open mouth.
Harry glared at Dudley as he grabbed his elbow.
He felt annoyed and angry at the spoilt behaviour of his obese cousin.
Seemingly instantly, Dudley fell into the enclosure as the glass disappeared.
'Shit!' Harry thought. He was going to hear about this as soon as they stepped back.
Loud gasps occurred as the snake slithered away from Dudley and out of the enclosure.
Dudley got up terrified and tried to get out of the enclosure.
Bam!
He hit his face as the glass appeared again. Dudley screamed from the enclosure as people started to whisper.
Cut*
Harry sat in his cupboard with a frown.
They had left as soon as Dudley was taken out. The moment they arrived home. Vernon had berated him and told him to stay the night in the cupboard.
Thankfully, that was all; he didn't have to do extra chores for a month again.
Ding!
The door rang, and Harry quickly left his cupboard to open the door.
Harry opened the door and saw no one outside.
He noticed a letter on the ground and quickly grabbed it.
"Mr. H Potter,
The cupboard under the stairs,
Little Whinging
SURREY."
Harry's eyes widened as he realised he was the person who this letter was addressed, too.
Thump! Thump!
Harry thought quickly and put the letter in his pocket.
He saw Dudley arrive beside him looking around.
"Who was it?" He asked snobbishly.
"No one. Probably messing with us." Harry quickly came up with an excuse.
Luckily, for Harry Dudley, the excuse went away.
Harry quickly went back into the cupboard and read the letter.
Harry's eyes widened as a small grin grew on his face.
There were others like him, People who could use magic.
Harry quickly left the cupboard and slowly moved towards the dining room.
With heavy breath and a thought of self-reassurance, Harry walked towards Petunia.
"What is it, Boy?" She asked annoyed.
Harry took a deep breath and showed her the letter.
Petunia felt her world stop. She stared at the Letter with fear and envy.
"No. it can't be." Petunia's voice was a whisper.
Vernon also looked at the two and he felt his heart skip a beat, not like it was uncommon, He quickly got up and snatched the letter away from Harry's hand.
"No. I took that Freakish out of you. They must've made a mistake." Petunia said.
Vernon destroyed the letter with fury.
"I'm going there," Harry spoke up.
"NO, YOU ARE NOT," Vernon shouted at him.
"Why?" Harry asked.
"YOU WILL NOT GO TO A SCHOOL OF. FREAKS." Vernon said with anger.
Petunia sat on the sofa with fear.
Dudley looked at his Dad in confusion, but he continued watching the TV.
"Why shouldn't I? I'm a freak, right? Send me to them." Harry said also angry.
"You Will Not Be Going There," Vernon said with a glare.
"We can't stop him. They will come for him." Petunia said to Vernon.
"What?" He turned around and asked her.
"When SHE got her's we ignored it. They came to get her. They.. they teleported." Petunia told Vernon.
Harry looked at Petunia with confusion but was thankful that her words would help him go.
Vernon sat back on the sofa from shock.
He took deep breaths in and out.
"Fine. But you will not come back here. You will stay with those freaks." Vernon finally said.
Harry felt a smile grow on his face.
Cut*
Harry waited patiently while looking at his watch.
Today was the day that he would finally go and get his books.
According to Aunt Petunia, they had to send a letter through an owl.
He was sceptical at first but an owl had been staring through the window since the letter arrived.
He quickly got a letter back, it was a letter explaining how someone would help him get his school supplies.
Harry had asked Aunt Petunia how she knew so much about the "Wizarding World" as she called it. But Harry got no answer.
Harry looked at the watch with excitement as he sat in the cupboard.
"Anytime now." He whispered to himself.
Ding!
"They're here, Exactly at noon."
This chapter has a lot ripped straight from the book but in my own words, so please don't mind it.
From now on the story will have little to nothing to do with the book.
