Pulse licked a paw and glared slightly at Hasira.
He knew he was supposed to fake being her friend, but he still couldn't help being annoyed at the fact that her asking what happened and prodding into his night.
He knew she just cared, but he didn't feel like talking about it.
"Don't want to talk about it. I just had a rough night."
Hasira nodded.
"Do you want me to help you clean them?" Hasira wondered as she took a step closer to him.
Pulse shook his head.
"I'm no baby, but thank you for the offer." He rumbled as he painful began walking to the kitchen where Ulysses was flipping some pancakes.
The Hypno was humming a soft song as he had his entire focus on perfecting the pancake.
Pulse sniffed the air.
It smelled decent.
The Hypno finally turned around, and smiled welcomingly at them.
"Good morning—" Ulysses began to chirp before noticing Pulse's wound.
"Are you okay?" Ulysses asked.
Pulse was slightly surprised he didn't ask him what happened.
That's what Hasira asked at least. Isn't he a bit curious how I got these scratches in the middle of the night?
"I'm fine. Nothing I can't handle." Pulse grunted, wincing with pain as he hobbled between his injured paw and his other paw in his haste.
He didn't want to stay here longer than needed, but it might be a while before Jabetu was fully able and ready.
Plus, I'm sure the police might be after me after what I did. Pulse reasoned with himself.
Ulysses nodded.
"I'm sure. If you want I have some health items to help with those scratches. Oh, by the way your friend still hasn't woken up. She should wake up soon, hopefully." Ulysses informed the Houndour.
Pulse nodded.
"Yeah. I'll go do that now." Pulse barked awkwardly.
He was just glad the Hypno didn't ask any questions.
Perhaps he knew something went down, but didn't think it was worth mentioning.
Pulse growled.
It wasn't.
"The first aid kit is down the hall on the right. In the bathroom. If you want you can also take a shower. That is, if you want to get wet. I know you're a fire type, but it's up to you." Ulysses informed.
"But where is it in the bathroom?" Pulse wondered as he gazed into a nearby room that had a weird painting of a brown Slowpoke and a shiny Zangoose within it.
"It should be in the first cabinet, but I can show you if you want me to." Ulysses offered him with a smile.
"But what about—"
"Breakfast? If it's okay with her, I'll have Hasira aid in finishing up. I can show you where it is."
Hasira bounced with excitement.
Does she even know how to cook? She doesn't seem like the knowledgeable type. She seems more like the overly cheery and helpful type.
Pulse then smiled genuinely.
At least she wants to be helpful. That's at least something I can admire about her. It's the cheery part of her that's just too unreal.
"I can help! Let me help!" She barked as she bounced up and down, grinning widely and closing her eyes in her excitement.
She would make a good Pokémon to trick. She aims to please.
If only Pulse could trick her, she would be a very good villain. Perhaps thinking she's doing something right, but overall doing the wrong thing.
"Yeah. Let her help. You can show me the bathroom and help me." He rumbled with a secret smirk.
His goal there was to make Hasira happy for his own gain.
Perhaps he could gain her trust completely and she would follow him relentlessly.
Guess love is good for something. At least for me. Pulse thought.
"Oh! Really? You really want me to help you? I thought from the way you were acting you would want to do things by yourself. Welp, guess I'm wrong." Ulysses remarked before briefly saying, "Follow me."
He then waved towards Pulse with a paw to follow him.
Excellent. If I show I have 'trust' and 'faith' in this Eevee, then maybe she can prove to be valuable later. I already know she's willing to do anything for me. This slight indication of letting her finish the breakfast might prove to be good for the better.
Pulse followed the strange Hypno, practical running after the Hypno as he easily reached the bathroom, waving to Pulse once more as he opens a cabinet and pulls out a box labeled with a plus sign.
"Come on! I'm sure it hurts, and you want to get this over with as much as I do." Ulysses remarked with a straight face.
Pulse strutted into the bathroom.
"Close the door, please." Ulysses ordered.
"Why can't you close it?" Pulse sassed.
Ulysses walks past Pulse silently, closing the door behind him before going back to the medical kit.
The Hypno pressed his paws under part of the kit.
He fumbled around with the latch that would open it, and flipped it up.
This enabled the Hypno to unlock the medical kit.
The Hypno paused, gazing at Pulse before closing the kit.
"Look, we have to talk."
Pulse growled.
Was this all a trick to get him to talk to him in secret?
"What? What do we have to talk about? I don't want to talk to you."
Pulse bared his fangs.
He was obviously, and easily angered.
"I know you don't, but I want to talk to you. You're so...odd. I've never met a Pokémon quite like you. I've seen it when you push around that shiny Eevee friend of yours."
Pulse snorted. As if he hadn't noticed how strange Ulysses was himself.
This Hypno was a hypocrite for saying he was weird.
"Yeah? Well you have odd tapestries and are a pretty weird 'mon yourself. You act friendly to me, and my friends and offer us to stay in your home which is far secluded from society."
The Hypno seemed surprised.
"You've noticed? I don't really talk to any Pokémon much. I secluded myself so I could keep it to myself."
What the fuck is he talking about? Pulse wondered, about ready for a fight.
"What do you mean?" Pulse asked with a snarl.
Ulysses flicked a paw as he picked up a bottle of disinfectant.
"It's nothing you need to worry about. I know about you, though. You can't fool me. I saw those bloodstained paws unlike your little friend. She's so innocent...my Arceus I can't believe she wouldn't notice it." Ulysses sighed as he pressed a paw against his head.
"Fool you? What are you talking about?"
The Hypno was getting him on edge.
The Hypno glared at him with emotions.
He poured the disinfectant on the Houndour, making him wince slightly.
"Your bloodstained paws. The wounds on your pelt. It's obvious to me now." Ulysses informed him, his face casting a dark shadow.
Pulse showed no signs of panic, keeping calm, but still freaking out on the inside.
What did he know? Why was he acting like he knew something that no else did? How come he's being so dramatic? Death is a part of life.
"What's so obvious about it? Tell me." Pulse grunted as the Hypno went back into the medical kit.
The Hypno brought out the gauze, and began to dress the wounds on Pulse's paws.
Majnun sure did have a wickedly strong Slash attack. It stung really badly.
"I know you went out last night. You must have been attacked! I told you specifically not to go out again. Did you want to go find that really strong a Pokémon you weren't supposed to find?"
Oh. He had no idea I went out and killed two innocent parents while their daughter chased me around the house with an extremely stupid Absol mooning over her. Or whatever you can call it. Obsession I guess.
Pulse let his shoulders sag to allow himself to relax.
He actually thought the Hypno had figured him out.
Guess while he was smarter than he seemed, Ulysses wasn't the biggest brain out there.
Pulse rolled his eyes.
"Even if I did, I won." Pulse remarked.
A lie. One of the things that he's done before, but this one was a half lie.
Technically, he did probably find the monster in the forest.
That Absol sure is such a monster.
He didn't, however, want to fight it.
More specifically I teamed up with him, and basically ensured some type of slave thing.
Ulysses just rolled his eyes.
"With a bunch of wounds from the battle. Anyways, stay still so I can wrap this around your stomach. You will probably need to change the bandages every few days, but I'm not a doctor. You should probably go to a real doctor."
I won't.
The Hypno sucked in a breath.
Worry obviously showed in his gaze as he placed the end of the gauze on his back and began to unravel the white medical item around the fire type's stomach.
"Anyways," the Hypno continued with a smile as he stood up, wiping sweat from his brow. "You can go back to breakfast now, but I advise you from going into unnecessary fights for a while now, not that I can stop you. I just think letting your body heal it's wounds is the best thing you can do right now."
Ulysses then walked out the room before turning back to him.
"And you might want to wash your paws. You look like. A deranged murderer with those paws."
The Hypno then walked down the hall, and the way his footprints went told Pulse Ulysses was back in the kitchen.
Pulse decided to take his advise and wash his paws clean of the blood.
He prayed that if anything this Hypno would get arrested if the police came.
But he doubted that if they traced him back here they wouldn't arrest Ulysses because both Izar and Majnun had seen him kill Izar's family.
Well, he told Majnun.
I shouldn't have told him that. He could use the information to his benefit.
The water that ran on his paws soothed him.
The way it ran was calm.
It also annoyed him because life was nothing like the water that was running down his paws.
Also, he hated the feeling of the water on his paws.
He was finally ridden of the blood that stained his paws. This would make it harder to identify him as a killer.
He wanted to trick Pokémon into thinking he was nice. He wanted them to put their guard down while he planned their death behind their back.
But...I can't do that if there's witnesses. Izar and Paarthurnax are surely telling Pokémon how bad I am at this point. I just have to find my leverage.
Pulse twisted the faucet with his paws. The water stopped running on his paws, and he moved his front paws off of the bathroom sink, and onto the floor.
He shook each paw until his paw felt cold, yet dry.
He padded into the kitchen where Ulysses and Hasira were having some kind of fun argument about the pancakes.
"You're not supposed to add in sparkles to the pancakes. They're not even edible. Where did you even get them?" Ulysses laughed as he pulled the pan away from the strange Eevee.
"What?! I wanted to make them shine more like me!"
Ulysses only laughed.
"But now they're inedible! Why don't you watch me?" Ulysses offered.
The Eevee bounced and nodded her head with happiness.
"Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!" She chanted as she bounced around the kitchen floor.
"Okay, okay. Watch what I do!"
Ulysses then showed the female how to properly make the pancakes by first grabbing the pancake mix and opening the box.
He started to following the instructions on the back and eventually he poured the now batter into the bowl.
This is hard to watch, and annoying. Pulse thought with a huff.
He then began to walk more around the house.
