The air crackled with tension. Nectarine, the red panda, adjusted his bamboo-like spectacles, his fur bristling with righteous indignation. "Sorry, my honey, he declared, 'but I'd rather be a main character in a film than just supporting in a good 'kitty.'"

Kazooie, the red-crested breegull, shrieked in response, "Support -this,- Pandabrain!!" She curled the end of one wing like a fist, then, in a display of terrible aim, accidentally punched the Windragon's round belly.

All eyes turned to Banjo, the brown honey bear, who had transformed into a red and white Windragon. Kazooie's shriek turned to a horrified, "Windragon!"

Cherry, the red fox, pointed a paw at Banjo. "See, Nectarine? He's been becoming a Windragon, and he's becoming a new ancestor of Shiron!"

Banjo looked sheepish. "Sorry," he mumbled.

Kazooie, still clinging to Banjo's back, yelled, "Banjo?! What happened to you?!"

Banjo, trying to comfort her, opened his wings and said, 'Come here.'

Cherry poked Banjo's belly curiously. Nectarine, his eyes wide, exclaimed, "Banjo?! Draconic transformation goes evil—what's gotten into you?!"

His gaze fell upon a sign beside them: *Don't Touch the Gem Before It Makes You Curse!* The Windragon Ruby, gleaming with an ominous light, was nestled within a stone pedestal.

Nectarine gasped, "The Windragon Ruby, eh?"

Kazooie, still rubbing a spot on Banjo's belly, muttered, "Just great."

Nectarine rubbed his feathered wings, a tremor of fear in his voice. "B-Banjo?! -You- were the one making all that noise?!" His eyes widened as he saw the white scales and jagged red stripes adorning Banjo's body. "Gosh!"

Banjo, his voice filled with determination, said, "I need to remove the curse. I'm going to the woods."

Nectarine saw Banjo heading towards the forest. "Banjo, look out! It's a trap!"

Banjo turned, confused. "What?"

He stepped onto a branch, unaware of the hidden trap beneath, and plummeted into a deep pit. "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

Nectarine cried out, "Banjo! Are you okay?"

A muffled, "I'm okay," came from the depths.

Banjo, battered but determined, clambered out of the pit. "Darn it! Right, kid?"

Cherry, her eyes filled with concern, offered her paw. "Let me fix your wings and heal you."

Banjo, relieved, nodded. 'Oh, okay."

Kazooie sighed, "Great."

Cherry, using her medicinal skills, mended Banjo's wings with a swift motion. "Perfect!" she declared.

Kazooie, still clinging to Banjo, laid down the law: "Besides! Rules say Number 1. No Exiling! Number 2. No Heartbreaking! Number 3. No Leaving! Number 4. No War! Number 5. No Killing! Number 6. No Defeating, see?"

Cherry nodded solemnly, "Of course!"

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the forest, Banjo, his curse still lingering, knew their adventure had just begun. The path ahead was fraught with danger, but with his friends by his side, he knew he could face anything.
