Scooping Alice up from the couch and taking her to the smaller of the bedrooms as Emma slipped past him and turned down the blankets letting him lay the little girl down, after tucking her in and putting Zeke on the bed with Alice the left the room with the door open a crack.
Once back in the living room, they sat on the couch with Emma cuddled to his side, she ran over the memories and ask. "If we grew up orphans in this world, how did we get into that school in Japan, I am not complaining but I don't have any memory about how we came by it."
"It was from my side some although I am also an orphan Gringotts dose have records naming me a Black by blood so I did have a Black trust fund which is what the goblins will want to talk about tomorrow but it will be changed from a trust to stipend which is where the records will show each of our accounts being filled from after we talk to the gobbling at the appointment I believe." He said while laying his cheek on the top of her head.
"My memories are telling me that when I first went to the bank they noticed I looked like a Black sort of so did a test and I came back as a bastard but with no real head to kick the half-blood bastard out of the family they had to follow the rules and opened a trust in my name and set it to pay for my living and school, young me heard someone talking to one of the bank workers about specialized schooling for curse breaking and that school came up I signed myself and then later you up for the summer courses and you know the rest from there. "He said while trying to stay awake, magical exhaustion was kicking their butts after the hard reboot of their occlumency that came with the download.
Sighing Emma pulled herself closer to him as her eyes grew heavy and she drifted off to sleep again her soft snoring pulled him to sleep along with her.
Several hours later Marcus woke feeling a weight on his lap and side, groaning from being stiff after sleeping while sitting up he opened his eyes to find Alice in his lap while Emma was still curled up against his side both asleep, while Zeke was looking at them from the coffee table with both of his tails wagging and boy was that going to take some getting used to.
Gently rocking his shoulder to wake Emma, all he received from her was a moaned protest for a reply as he tried to wake her again. "Honey if you two don't let me up I'm going to pee on the couch."
Emma jumped up while still looking to be asleep as she reached for Alice taking her from his lap then as he got up and walked off, she lay down on the couch again while Alice barely made a sound, just rubbing her face into Emma chest.
Coming out of the bathroom he found Cameron had come through and spread a blanket over them, Zeke was now at Emma's feet his nose sticking out from under the blanket.
Looking through the pantry he found little food there putting together a list he gave it to Cameron while pulling out some five 20-pound notes. "That should do for now."
Cameron looks at the list and nods as she takes the notes, after she is gone her looks around for something to do when he finds a snowy white cat sitting on the back of the couch looking suspiciously down at Zeke and Alice. "Snowball they are family so be nice."
The cat looks to him and then back to the bundle of limbs on the couch, it then jumps down into the bundle and sniffs Alices face before jumping to the floor and wonders off.
Watching the cat go he shakes his head and sits on the armchair while looking out the window, his thoughts wondered as he tried to order what they needed to do in his head, after a time he finally had it mostly arranged before getting up and going to the desk, pulling out a sheet of parchment and fountain pen he started a letter.
Dear Deputy Headmistress Minerva McGonagall
I am writing to inform you that Emma Watson and I have married over the summer holidays and have adopted a child that we have known for years from Japan her name is Alice Maresato she will be joining my wife and I at Hogwarts coming in as first year her eleventh birthday was just before the last school year ended, she has a krup as her pet and if I need to fill out papers for it not being on the approved pets list please let me know and I will take care of it, I am hoping that this letter will give you enough time to make arrangements for married quarters in the Ravenclaw dorms and inform professor Flitwick of our change in status.

Folding the parchment, he walks to Burt and ties the letter to his leg. "Take that to Professor McGonagall rest for a time while she reads this and see if she has something send back."
Burt gave a small hoot then lept out window and flew off, sitting back down he let his mind wonder again as he looked to a small Callander on the desk, less than a month to get ready for Hogwarts.
The summer school had allowed them, to take courses on many magical and mundane subjects. while they learned as much as they could between their magical and mundane schooling, they could walk into almost any company to apply for jobs and most likely get the top job, engineering, physics and just about everything they could find on computers, it was all too much at one time.
Laying his head on the desk groaning, Marcus wished he had a bottle of Tylenol or case of whisky maybe both, feeling a bump against his leg he looked to find snowball the cat Emma chose looking at him then turning her head to where her food dish was now sitting and then back to him.
"Okay let's find your food." He said petting the cats head, getting up he went to the cabinets opening them until he found the cats food in a small bag, filling the bowl then finding Zekes bowl he put the cat food back and filled the dogs bowl as well, also filling the bowls for water.
Hearing the food being poured Zeke got down from the couch making his way to the food bowls he spotted Snowball, carefully getting close to the cat after sniffing each other they touched noses then went about eating.
Sitting back at the desk he lay his head down and fell asleep again.
Sitting at the desk in her office Minerva McGonagall was just finishing up some of the never ending parchment work as a small barn owl flew in through the owl window with a parchment tied to its leg, sighing she took the letter and read it, standing she went to the book of names in the corner of her office and flipped it open to the list for this year's intake of first years and scanning the names she found a new name 'Alice Maresato – transfer from Japan' nodding she went to a filing cabinet and pulled the forms for none listed pets and tied it to the owls leg, the owl just flew over to an out of the way place and covered its head with a wing.
Seeing the owl do this she gave a small chuckle before returning to her desk, as soon as she sat more papers appeared on her desk causing her to sigh and wish she could just change into and stay in her Animagus form for a few months.
The week had flown by for them after two days of laying around the flat getting their heads right, they had taken Alice around London showing her the sites and taking her to a movie or two they had a good time and were happy to see Alice going from one thing to another all bubbly.
The time for the appointment at Gringots had to be moved back a week after the account manager had died from losing his head undisclosed reasons, they approach the bank waiting long enough for Alice to read the words on the wall beside the doors.
Once inside they could see goblins going about their work while sneering at the witches and wizards ordering them around, Marcus and the girls just silently stood in the short line for appointments, holding the parchment telling of his appointment and key to his vault in hand they waited for their turn.
"Name" the goblin at the desk barked as they stepped up.
"Marcus Phoenix." He said laying the parchment and key on the desk and waited for the goblin to read the letter and inspect he key.
"Early, you still have fifteen minutes, wait over there a runner will come for you when it time for your meeting." the goblin said pointing to some seats not far away from the desk.
"Waisted time waisted money, and both are valuable, showing up early gives who I am meeting time to get his or her parchment ready and not rushing about and possibly losing something important that will cost me to replace. "Marcus replied in the goblin's language before turning to lead the girls to the seats.
The goblin blinked in surprise a few times before writing a few extra lines on a slip before sliding it into a slot that would send it where it needed to be.
After waiting ten minutes a goblin came up to them. "Mr. Phenix and company, this way."
Following the goblin silently they made several turns and a few ups and downs before coming to a solid oak door with a bronze label with 'Black' knocking and waiting a second the goblin opened the door then waved them into the office.
"Ah Mr. Phenix and spouse thank you for coming in, this is a simple change from trust to stipend account." The gobbling then paused as it saw Alice between Marcus and Emma.
Following the goblins eyes Marcus spoke up. "Adopted while at a summer school in Japan Alice Maresato, we used the school to extend our honeymoon and finish out our schooling, just going back to Hogwarts to keep the ministry happy and out of our hair."
Nodding along as he spoke the goblin slipped another parchment onto the pile waiting for them to sign, "Very good, we will request your transcripts from the school, will she be taking your family name?"
Shaking his head Marcus replied. "No, she is from a branch of the Maresato family, they allowed the adoption but required her keep family name until she weds, and no we didn't blood adopt."
Nodding again the goblin waved at the pile of parchment. "Read and sign, your vault number will not change just its status, a new key will be linked to the stipend vault for your wife, and a trust vault will be opened for miss Maresato."
Reading the parchments and signing with a blood quill Marcus spoke up. "Thank you, account manager, are your people still taking bets
on the Quidditch World Cup?" reviving a nod he smiles slightly. "Put me down for a hundred g on Ireland winning but Krum catches the snitch."
Nodding the goblin wrote down what he said just as the girls finished reading and signing their parchments, once done with that and not having anything else they left the office, finding the goblin that led them to the office waiting it led them back to the lobby of the bank as they parted ways Marcus slipped it a galleon.
Once out of the bank they made their way to the bookstore where they got what book Alice would need for the year, and a few extra for pleasure reading before returning o the flat to find Cameron had a lite lunch set out for them.
After eating they all found a place to sit and read the books they had gotten, Cameron went about the flat tidying up the new books or packing the schoolbooks into Alices school trunk, every now and then Zeke or Snowball would demand attention before going off to do their own thing.
When the daylight began to shift to nighttime he stood up and looked out the window, then turned to the girls. "So do we go to the quidditch game or stay in for the night?"
Cameron came into the room after he spoke waiting for an answer so that she would know if she needed to prepare dinner or not, Emma and Alice looked to each other after a minute or two they turned to Marcus and spoke in unison. "Quidditch."
Nodding and turning to Cameron he nods, and she leaves the room, after a moment she returned with cloaks, passing Marcus and Emma theirs she helped Alice put on hers, then she left again and came back wearing a cloak of her own.
As they got ready to apparate he got an idea a smile spreading across his face. "What do you say we help the twins a little, you know place a bet with the goblins?"
Emma nods while Alice looks confused and Cameron just stood there, mind made up he walks to the door leading to the alley and made his way to Gringotts, once there they found that there were very few people inside, but the goblins still went about doing their jobs, finding an open line her pulls twenty-five galleons from a bag he uses to hide his universal wallet.
When the goblin looked up and ask their business, Marcus ask if the were still taking bets on the game and got a nod. "Frederic and George Weasley just sent me a letter requesting I place a bet for them."
Laying the twenty-five galleons on the desk, after telling the goblin the same bet he had told the account manager he received a betting slip with the odds listed, and the goblins handling fee of five percent of the winnings, looking at the slip he almost fell over, if the game came out as he predicted even with the twenty-five galleons bet the winnings would nearly be ten thousand.
After leaving the bank and heading to the apparition point and apparating to the location of the game Marcus taking Cameron while Emma had Alice, upon landing Cameron froze up for a few seconds. "This method of travel is not recommended until more shielding is added to my CPU, the breakers nearly did not handle surge of energy, after the game and going home I will not use this method until upgrades are issued."
Emma looked to Marcus who was nodding as Cameron spoke. "I thought you had shielding for emp and such?"
"An emp is external apparating is both and while most of my systems were not affected my CPU is more delicate, I will request the upgrade once you are at Hogwarts." Was Camerons reply to Emma.
"We can talk about that later; it's going to be getting crowded soon so you three keep close." Marcus said as he turned and walked to a ministry worker with a clipboard and bored expression while a non-magical man was not far away looking like he was two sheets to the wind.
"Name." was all the worker said while looking at the clipboard.
"Phenix party of four, just for the game no camping." Marcus said as he held out a small bag of galleons to the man who took it and giving back a receipt and game only tickets.
"Follow the trail up to the stadium, there are a few food stalls and souvenir booths along the way." The worker said as he marked something on his parchment.
Waving the girls to follow him he started to walk off before remembering something. "Has Arthur Weasley checked in yet, his twin sons said they would be here and camping."
Flipping through the parchment's the worker nods and then gives them directions to the Weasley tent, thanking the man they took off to find the Weasley's.
Walking through the tents Alices head was on a swivel trying to take in all the oddly shaped tents and extremely oddly dressed people, one man was walking around in a woman's housecoat loudly proclaiming he loved how the breeze felt.
After about ten minutes of looking around Marcus spotted a brown bushy head bobbing along with group of red heads, pointing them out he led the group over and got their attention, there was a second where their eyes seemed to gloss over before the twins grew evil smiles while Hermione and Ginny groaned at seeing Marcu.
The memories had Marcus as a sort of prankster while Emma helped with some of the more difficult aspects of some of the charms or potions, the two gave the group large smiles while Cameron as always just stood there but Alice tried to hide behind Emma.
When Hermione spotted Alice, she gave a girly squeal and pulled the poor eleven-year-old into a Hermi hug, while going a mile a minute about how cute she was or asking questions at so fast of a rate that it all came out as one word.
All Alice could do was stand there with a red face as the hug was tight and although she was strong, she would hurt to older girl hugging her tightly, turning her head to look at Emma for help with teary eyes, Emma chuckling softly reached over and poking Hermione on the shoulder to get her attention.
"Hermione, she needs to breath, and you need to slow down nobody can understand what you are saying.' Emma said causing the bushy headed girl to blush and release Alice.
Seeing that Ginny was close to doing the same as Hermione Alice ran to Marcus and hugged his leg tightly, this got laughs all around while Emma had to put a hand on Camerons shoulder to keep her from doing something that would cause trouble.
After calming down Marcus made the introductions and explaining how they had been going to Japan for summer breaks and had been spending time with Alice who was an orphan and how they decided to adopt her after getting married.
At the mention of orphan and adoption Harry perked up for a moment then his shoulders slumped, patting Harry on the shoulder getting a flinch Marcus said. "Just a few more years and you won't have to listen to anyone telling you when and where you have to stay."
Getting a slow nod from Harry Marcus smiled a bit then her turned to Arthur who was asking questions about Japan and their muggle things that Emma was trying to answer, it was funny really because the memories they now had told them that Arthur would always catch one of them to ask these questions after he found out that they lived in both worlds.
Alice pulled on his pant leg to get his attention, once she had it, she pointed to the scarves the group was wearing, it was a mix of Bulgarian and Irish she was pointing to the Irish scarf one of the twins was wearing, getting it that she wanted one he nods and walks over to the twin with Alice still stuck to his leg like a limpet.
"Come on boys you two can show us where you got the scarves." He said while waving Cameron back to Emma's side who was starting to go cross-eyed after an odd question about the difference between the rubber ducks here and in Japan.
"Yes, oh master- "
Before they could get into their twin speak Marcus held up a hand, then pointing down to Alice. "Please speak normally or she won't know what's going on."
Huffing with big grins on their faces they looked at each other and their grins grew to epic proportions. "Yes, oh master of mischief."
Sighing at their stereo response he shakes his head, then looking back down he tells Alice. "These are Fred and George never take candy they try to give you, but they are good guys and always liven up places at their over-the-top antics and once I graduate, they may be able to pull off a great prank that will go down in the history books of Hogwarts."
When the twins exclaimed that they were just warming up and saving their best for when he was gone and out of their way Alice broke into giggles, that made Marcus smile, he then held out the betting slip to them.
"Don't trust Ludo Bagman, he has a gambling debt so large that the goblins will be after him soon if he can't start paying, let your father know but I wouldn't let that little brother of yours know his jealousy is so strong for those that have money we can feel it over at the Ravenclaw table, done right you two can have that joke store and bringing true fun and chaos to the world."
After reading the slip and seeing what they would get if the bet won, they dropped to the ground while chanting in unison." We are not worthy."
Shaking his head as he bent down and lifted the twins from the ground while everyone was giving them a wide birth, Alice was out right laughing now, once the twins were on their feet again they went to get the scarves and then met up with the group with Emma now being question bombed by Hermione while Arthur was talking to Cameron who while as stoic as always she answered his questions.
A loud boom got everyone moving toward the stadium, once they reached it they had to separate, the Weasley's Harry and Hermione had seats in the ministers box while Marcus and his group were in the mid-levels.
When the vela began their song and dance routine, he felt something pass over him, but it faded after a second the others tensed up for a bit while Cameron locked onto the veela and seemed to want to go beat them down but Emma's hand on her arm kept her in place.
The leprechauns light show had Alice ohhing and awing Marcus had to bat away the fake gold before it hit their heads and then the game was going, the crowds cheering at each play made and goals had the stadium shaking several times Marcus thought he was going to have to apparate them out of there only for the thing to shimmer for a second.
When Krum caught the snitch, the whole stadium went silent as Bagman called out that Ireland had won by ten points scoring the winning goal just before the snitch was caught, Alice was cheering with the crowd while not really knowing fully about the game, but she was caught up in the mood of the people around her she was waving her scarf like it was a flag.
While it didn't take long for them to get to their seats it took nearly two hours to leave the stadium, Alice was draped over his back and snoring lightly in his ear, once they got out of the stadium, they went to find the Weasley's tent but stopped as they heard screaming off in the distance. Realizing that the Death Eaters were following the movie instead of the books he looked to Emma and Cameron.
"Stay close this shouldn't last long, when things settle, we will go home." He told them, getting nods while Alice snorted in his ear.
After about fifteen minutes the Dark Mark flew into the sky causing more panic, Alice woke at the closer and loud screams, looking around in a panic she started to squirm until she realized she was on Marcus's back she calmed down at this.
Walking through the grounds he saw tents burning and people trying to put the fires out, they made their way to the edge of the grounds apparating home and letting Cameron steady herself he took Alice to her room and lay her down on here bed before leaving to let Cameron change the sleeping girl into pajamas.
"Well first real game of quidditch, its nice and all but I don't think I'll watch much more of it, we may have to find Alice some recordings to watch if they have those here, with the way she got into it I'm thinking I'll have to build her a small flight area on the island once we are done with this mission, I know for sure I'll have to get her a broom." He said as he pulled his cloak off and throwing io over the chair as he sat beside Emma on the couch.
"Nimbus or something like that no Firebolt she doesn't need a racing broom, and a Nimbus is pushing it," Emma said laying her head on his shoulder.
Chuckling he nods then thinks it over and outright laughs causing Emma to look at him like he had lost his mind. "Or she will just make herself a racing broom with all that she knows I wouldn't put it past her now."
Emma gaps at him for a few seconds before laughing herself. "Yeah, you're right,"
After calming down he threw his arm over her shoulder he pulled her close. "A week or so and we will be back at Hogwarts and then we wait for the goblet to choose, truthfully I'm not looking forward to this, but I signed up for it, the question is do I pull a normal Hogwarts thing, and ignore Harry or do I help him in training."
"Training he will need it Hermione may end up being the only support he gets until the dragon, and while Ron is his friend, he is also a little jerk, this Ron seems to be nothing like from the movies or books, from the memories he just barely tolerates Hermione and anyone else that gets near Harry are driven off sometimes violently." Emma said as she nuzzled his side.
"Yeah, I saw that too, Ginny has driven off girls left and right and Hermione just barely gets left alone but a few times I was in the library I had seen Ginny giving Hermione death glares from across the room when Hermione helped Harry with his homework, I think this may be one of the Harry and Hermione filled to the gills with potions worlds." He said while kissing her on the side of the head.
After a few minutes, she gets up pulling him with her. "Shower and bed we will have to get up and finish up some shopping Alice will need to get her potions supplies and we will need to get at least a month's worth of food for Snowball and Zeke and treats for Burt."
Following her into the bathroom and shedding his clothes he enters the shower while watching her undress smiling as she keeps her back to him, after showering and getting into sleepwear they go to bed sighing at the small bed missing their king-sized cuddle space.
The week went by fast after they bought the pet supplies and potions things, they were now standing on the platform letting Alice get her fill of looking at the Hogwarts Express her eyes would be wide and shiny if it weren't for Emma's hand on her shoulder, she would have probably disappeared into the Engen to take it apart to see how the British magical had made it work, Alice turned out to be a runes nut and would get lost in any book of runes she could get her hands on.
After a few more minutes they got onto the train finding an empty compartment, putting the pet cages on the floor while pulling their shrunken trunks out of pockets and unshrinking them they put them on the overhead racks. Emma looked out the window and sighed as she saw Cameron looking at the train her face may be stoic, but her eyes said destroy, tapping his shoulder and getting his attention she points to Cameron.
Sighing he shakes his head. "I'll go talk to her, if she was like that hybrid model, she may have been able to come with us, but I don't know how the Hogwarts environment will affect a t800 and I don't want to test it either."
Alice watched him leave then looked out the window seeing Cameron. "Aunty Cameron looks sad."
Hugging Alice Emma nods while watching Marcus talk to Cameron and while she didn't argue with him over having to return to the island, she still didn't look happy. After nodding one last time Cameron lifted her arms slightly, he didn't notice but Emma did, Cameron turned away and walked out of the muggle entrance, she was supposed to return to the flat and pack the rest of their things and take it to the island.
When Marcus returned to the compartment Emma excused herself to the bathroom, once she was in the W.C. she tapped her watch twice. "Mia search for terminator hybrid and send what you find in text format on them be it from movies books or a world out there, something is going on with Cameron and I want to know what it is and Marcus just mentioned hybrids."
"Yes mistress, I can tell you now they are living people that had been surgically altered, only one was known to function Marcus Wright and that's just from viewing the movie Terminator Salvation, I'll have a report for you in a few hours, I will need to request master to link me into his phone, I can tell him it is for an update on my systems if you wish."
Thinking it over for a moment Emma nod." Go ahead, don't mention this to either of them right now I want to research it myself first."
After tapping off the watch she went back to the compartment to find that Marcus and Alice had been joined by a small blonde waif who was holding Alice like she was a doll.
Looking to the door as she steps in he smiles at her while ignoring the pout on Alice's face, sitting down she looks at the blonde and smiles as the girl rubs her cheek to the back of Alice's head.
"Have a good summer, Luna?" Emma asks as her memories flashed showing that her and Marcus had taken the little blonde girl under their protection when they found her being bullied by Chang and Edgecomb who were two years behind them in school and two years ahead of Luna.
"Oh yes although we didn't find a snorkaks in Sweeden daddy and I had fun hunting but I must say that even during the summertime it can still get cold there." Luna answered while keeping her cheek against Alices head in a dreamy voice her silvery eyes shining.
Smiling at the younger girl she nods and then looks to Alice who now has tears forming in her eyes. "Luna dear while I know she is cute and cuddly could you let Alice go?"
Luna's arms tightened a bit around Alice while Luna rubbed her cheek against her head one more time before letting her go. "Alright but I will need to get more cuddling in at least once a day, or I will not be held responsible for what happens."
Alice jumped from Luna's lap and onto the seat against the window people watching, it was just after the five-minute warning that the Weasleys Harry and Hermione came rushing through the muggle entrance tossing trunks onto the train and scrambling upon it themselves just as the train was starting to move, the twins did some funny bow turning in the air as they jumped from the platform to the train.
"Two years and it's done," Luna said out of nowhere, causing them to look at her and see her eyes glowing slightly, a tear falling down her cheek.
Marcus got up and pulled the young seer into a hug while turning to sit in her seat as she wrapped her legs and arms around him like a koala, he looked to Emma concern on his face while she had a shocked face.
The door opened again admitting the golden trio and the twins who lifted the younger teens trunks onto the racks, while one of the twins said. "Sorry guys but there aren't many places left."
Emma nodded as Hermione and Harry sat on her bench while Ron sat nearer the door as far from Marcus and Luna as he could get sneering at the little blonde girl and mumbling something that sounded like 'loony being loony', Ginny sat a ruffled Crockshanks in a cage on the floor before leaving without a word.
"That's a bit improper, isn't it?" Hermione ask Emma while indicating Marcus and Luna.
"She just found out that we will be moving to Japan for Alice to finish her schooling in her home country after we graduate this year, Luna has been attached to Marcus since he helped her in her first year after finding her out in a thin night dress and barefoot in the middle of the night just before Christmas break, also she is wearing jeans so I don't think it's all that improper," Emma said while reaching out and running her fingers through Luna's hair.
"Forget about Lo-Luna for now I want to know what Mom and Bill were talking about this morning before we left the house." Ron stuttered at first when Emma eyed him before he could call Luna Loony.
Hermione frowned for a second before it just seemed to wash over her, so she turned to Ron while shrugging and wrinkling her nose as she saw food stains covering his clothes, which seemed to fade after a time, all which Marcus saw, he had seen the same on Harry's face as well.
After Luna calmed down, she unwrapped her arms and legs from around him but she refused to get off of his lap, so he just shrugged and let her have her way while talking about nothing of importance with the younger teens while Alice was giving Luna a look now and then, Emma caught the looks and pulled the little girl into her lap and whispered into her ear.
"He is the big brother she always wanted, also you saw the few scenes where she was being bullied, with the memories spreading out to cover our entrance to this world he saved her from the bullies and has kept them away from her for the last two years and will do the same thing this year with my help."
Hearing this Alice nods then jumping to the floor she hops into Luna's lap causing her to laugh while Marcus groaned Emma smiled at this while the teens were confused, Hermione was looking ready to burst while Harry had several emotions run across his face.
After an hour and the snack cart passing by with Marcus buying a good bit of everything to share with the others and swatting Ron's hands every time he tried to take something from Harry and Hermione's snacks getting angry looks from the glutinous teen, the return stern and unyielding look would send shivers down his spine each time his hand was swatted.
After several more tries of taking the food that should be his Ron got up and stomped out of the compartment slamming the door behind him for good measure, he went to find Dean or Semus to see if he could get some more food cause the fifteen pumpkin pasties twelve chocolate frogs and ten sugar quills was just enough to last him a minute or two, finding them he entered the compartment.
