Dendemille Town and Sea Spirit's Cave
After an hour of travelling, the group has finally arrived at Dendemille Town. Upon entering, they were greeted by a sudden breeze, causing the group to wrap their arms around themselves.
"Whoa! D-Did it get cold here all of a sudden?!" asked Nazz.
"Well, that guy back in Laverre City did say it was snowy in Route 17, so it probably would be cold here." said Kevin, shivering. "Probably going to get colder when it gets dark."
"Can we just find a Pokemon Center so we can get warm?" asked Jonny.
"Yes! We must seek shelter in the Pokemon Center before Rolf freezes solid!" exclaimed Rolf.
"There's one!" said Jonny, pointing at a Pokemon Center nearby. They run to the Pokemon Center and went inside. After taking in the warmth of the Pokemon Center, the group gave the nurse their Pokemon. The group were currently in the cafeteria, enjoying a hot meal.
"Okay; tomorrow, we're looking for a store here that sells winter clothing." said Kevin.
"Yeah; I doubt what I'm wearing right now is suitable for travelling in the snow." said Nazz. She reaches into her backpack and pulls out the Super Rod she got from the fisherman on Route 16. "You think before we go to Anistar City, I can try this out?"
"Sure, Nazz; where would you like to use it?" asked Kevin.
"How about Route 12?" said Nazz. "There was a lot of water there, so there's probably a lot of water Pokemon there; and now that some of our Pokemon there know Fly, we can get there quicker."
"Good idea, Nazz." replied Kevin.
The next morning, the group picked up their pokeballs. They learned there was a clothing store two buildings down from the Pokemon Center; they exited the Pokemon Center and quickly walked to the clothing store and went inside.
Jonny bought a black and gray, flannel winter coat with a gray fleece lining, a gray winter cap, black mittens, black winter boots and gray wool socks; he even bought a blue and red striped scarf for Plank; Kevin bought an orange winter coat with a hood, black snowpants, brown gloves, and brown winter boots; Rolf bought a brown fur coat, a dark brown ushanka, and brown gloves; Nazz bought a purple, long down, winter coat with white mittens, and a white, fleece, winter headband.
They walked out of the store, carrying their purchases in bags; Jonny released his Charizard, Kevin released his Talonflame, Rolf released his Pidgeot, and Nazz released her Farfetch'd. They had them use Fly to carry them to Route 12.
Upon arrival, Nazz walks to the river and takes out the Super Rod; she then casts the line into the water. Kevin looks upriver and sees several trainers either standing on patches of land in the middle of the ocean or swimming around.
"Hey, guys; maybe while Nazz is fishing, we can challenge those trainers to earn some cash to make up for the money we spent at Dendemille Town." Kevin said to Jonny and Rolf.
"Good idea, Kevin." said Jonny.
"Rolf agrees." said Rolf.
"Hey; can I have the pokedex in case I do fish up something?" asked Nazz.
"Sure thing." replied Kevin. He gives Nazz the pokedex and she puts it in her backpack.
Kevin lets Greninja out of his pokeball and into the ocean, Rolf lets out Blastoise, and Jonny lets out Clawitzer. They climb onto their Pokemon and had them use Surf to go out further into the ocean.
Meanwhile, Nazz was holding the Super Rod waiting for something to happen; suddenly, something began pulling at the line. Nazz pulls the Super Rod and the line comes out of the water; on the other end of the line was a small, round, pink Pokemon that had branchlike growths coming out of it and a light blue underbelly.
"Oh, you're a cute little Pokemon." said Nazz, making the Pokemon smile in response. Nazz takes out the pokedex and points it at the Pokemon.
"Corsola, the Coral Pokemon. They prefer unpolluted southern seas. Their coral branches lose their color and deteriorate in dirty water." said the pokedex. Nazz takes out a pokeball.
"I'm definitely going to capture you." said Nazz. "Dedenne, go!" She throws Dedenne's pokeball and releases her. "Dedenne, use Nuzzle!" Dedenne rubs her cheeks with her paws and electricity comes out of them; she runs to Corsola and rubs her cheeks against it, dealing super effective damage to it. Corsola becomes covered in electricity, and it shudders. "Looks like Corsola's paralyzed."
Corsola begins to glow green, and the electricity disappears, surprising Nazz.
"Did that Corsola cure itself of its paralysis?" asked Nazz. Corsola glows white and fires multiple white spikes from its branches and they hit Dedenne, knocking her back. "Dedenne, Charge!" Dedenne becomes surrounded by yellow sparks. Corsola fires multiple glowing bubbles from its mouth and they hit Dedenne, hurting her. "Now use Thunder Shock!" Dedenne releases strong electricity, and it hits Corsola, dealing super effective damage and knocking it to the ground.
Nazz takes an empty pokeball out of her backpack and throws it at Corsola, hitting it, and sucking it in. It wiggled for a few seconds before it clicks, indicating a successful capture.
"Awesome! I caught a Corsola!" said Nazz. Corsola's pokeball vanishes and is transported to storage. Nazz looks up Corsola's information on the pokedex. "Okay, this says Corsola's is part water, part rock, it's a girl, she knows Tackle, Harden, Bubble, Recover, Refresh, Bubble Beam, Ancient Power, Lucky Chant, Spike Cannon, Iron Defense, Rock Blast, and Endure; she has the Hustle ability, which makes her physical attacks stronger, but lowers her accuracy."
Back in the ocean, Jonny and Clawitzer were travelling across the sea when a girl in a swimsuit swim over to them.
"Excuse me, but would you like to have a Pokemon battle with me?" asked the girl.
"Sure." replied Jonny. He had Clawitzer swim to a rock in the ocean and he climbs on top of it while the girl swims to another rock and climbs on it. She takes a pokeball out of the belt she was wearing.
"Slowbro, go!" said the girl, throwing the pokeball and releasing a bipedal, pink, Pokemon that had a gray, spiky coral shell with eyes biting on its tail.
"Okay, Clawitzer, let's start things off with Vice Grip!" said Jonny. Clawitzer swims to Slowbro and grabs its abdomen with his big pincer, damaging it.
"Slowbro, Headbutt!" said Slowbro's trainer. Slowbro swims at Clawitzer and rams its head into him, damaging him, and making him flinch. "Now use Confusion!" Slowbro's eyes glowed blue and Clawitzer gets lifted up and gets thrown into the rock Jonny was standing on, damaging him.
"Clawitzer, Dark Pulse!" said Jonny. Clawitzer opens his big pincer and fires black and purple rings of energy out of it; they hit Slowbro, dealing super effective damage and more due to Clawitzer's Mega Launcher ability powering up his pulse moves, and knocking Slowbro out.
"Slowbro!" exclaimed Slowbro's trainer.
"Way to go, Clawizter!" said Jonny. The trainer returned Slowbro to its Dive Ball.
"Good battle." said Slowbro's trainer.
"Thanks." replied Jonny. The trainer gives Jonny pokedollars and she walks to the ocean and swims away. As Jonny was putting the pokedollars in his pocket, he looks to see a small island that had a small cave on it. "Hey, Clawitzer; let's see what's in there." Clawitzer jumps into the ocean and Jonny climbs onto his big pincer and Clawitzer swims towards the small island. Upon arriving, Jonny returns Clawitzer to its pokeball and he walks into the cave.
On another patch of land, Kevin had Tyrantrum use Rock Smash on a rock, breaking it into pieces; he sees a Big Pearl in the sand where the rock use to be.
"Awesome." said Kevin, picking up the Big Pearl. He looks and sees Rolf's Gogoat smashing another rock; afterward, Rolf reaches down and picks up a red, four-pointed stone up off the ground. "What is that, man?"
"Rolf has no clue." replied Rolf. Kevin sees another rock and has Tyranturm use Rock Smash on it, breaking it to pieces. Kevin looks where the rock use to be to see a shiny, gray stone laying on the sand.
"I wonder what this is?" asked Kevin, picking up the stone.
"Rolf has no clue." replied Rolf. Kevin puts the stone in his backpack.
"Come on; I think we got enough money from those trainers and enough stuff to sell." said Kevin. "Let's get back to Nazz."
"Very well." replied Rolf, putting the stone in his pocket. Kevin returns Tyrantrum to his pokeball and Rolf returned Gogoat to his. They brought out Greninja and Blastoise and they began riding them back towards Route 12.
Meanwhile, in the cave Jonny went into, he was looking around.
"What do you think we can find in here, Plank?" Jonny asked Plank. A sudden breeze comes out of nowhere and hits Jonny, making him shiver. "Whoa! W-Why did it get cold here all of a sudden?!" He looks at Plank. "Look behind me?" He turns to see a large, blue, birdlike Pokemon hovering above him. "What is that? I wish I had the pokedex with me." He pulls a pokeball out of his pocket.
"Linoone, go!" said Jonny, throwing Linoone's pokeball and releasing him. The Pokemon opens its beak and forms a light blue ball of energy in front of it; multiple beams of energy fires out of the ball and they hit Linoone, damaging him, and encasing him in a large block of ice. The ice breaks apart and Linoone falls to the ground with swirly eyes. "Whoa, that Pokemon's powerful!" He returns Linoone to its pokeball. "It's okay, buddy." He puts Linoone's pokeball away and looks up at the Pokemon. He reaches into his backpack and pulls out his Master Ball.
(Flashback)
"I want to save mine for one of the biggest, coolest, Pokemon out there." said Jonny.
(End Flashback)
Jonny looks up to see the Pokemon flying right at him. He throws the Master Ball at it and hits it; it gets sucked into the Master Ball and it clicks.
"Right on! I caught...whatever that was." said Jonny. The Master Ball vanishes and is transported to storage. "Let's get back to the others, Plank." He walks out of the cave and makes his way towards Route 12. After the group reunited, they sent out their flying Pokemon and had them fly back to Dendemille Town where they plan to continue on their journey to Anistar City where their next gym battle awaits.
