Deception
Chapter Eight
Scully needed to call her husband Mulder at work for the X Files department for the F.B.I. A.D. Walter Skinner asked Fox Mulder to clean up his office of the past month's files.
Mulder had a pile of files on his desk that needed to be placed elsewhere. Suddenly, the Caller I.D. had to be Scully calling him to check in.
"Scully, how did it go with the interviews?" Mulder was curious to know what was going on with the eyewitnesses.
"So far nothing out of the ordinary Mulder. Other than the fact all of them are scared as hell with the UFO having changed their lives for the most part. Otherwise, I get the feeling these aliens are looking to settle down in this town and live in peace." She had to tell him over the phone.
"I believe it after talking to Skinner in my office. He doesn't know what to think of it. Except for the fact Woolton has a missing little girl and the sheriff's department has called in the local F.B.I. office. Skinner seems to think Scully that the local F.B.I. will be calling us into the case once they can find more evidence." He noted taking a sip of cold water from the water pitcher sitting on his desk.
"Mulder, I am going to try and find out about the missing little girl from the Sheriff's office. However, I have five more eyewitnesses to talk to. I will call you in three hours. By the way, how's Donovan?" she asked about her son.
Chuckling slightly. "Donovan is out playing baseball with his friends. But he did say that he needed to head to the school's library to do some extra homework for his science class." Mulder says to Scully listening contently over the cell phone.
"No doubt looking up more information on UFO'S Mulder?" she says calmly with taking a look at her watch. "Listen, I need to go now with finding the others in town. The next one is Mark Sierra, I understand that he is drinking away the day to scare his wits regarding the UFO, he says," She tells him by giving her usual goodbye before ending the communications.
Mulder went back to his work in the office while thinking about Donovan and most of all William somewhere in California working for a renegade group. The last time he had heard from William had been a month ago.

The Last Sundown saloon is a few miles from the library and the Sheriff's office. Scully was thirsty and she knew that she needed something to drink before speaking with Mark Sierra.
She was able to find a parking space in the front of the saloon having to be half empty with the sun having gone down and the drop in temperatures. Scully had placed on her black sweater to help with the chill of her body.
Using the remote to lock the doors of the rental. She was now ready to enter the bar for now. She had been hoping that she would be able to get answers from Sierra and the others.
The moment she walked into the bar. The atmosphere was about to turn ugly with Sierra now drunk as hell. He started to throw the glasses that has been sitting on the counter with everyone running for dear life and this included Scully to stand in the back with the rest of the patrons.
