Deception

Chapter Six

After Dana Scully had left the editor's office of the local newspaper. The editor Morris called his associates at the Woolton warehouse waiting for the UFO to arrive in a few days. He was scared that the F.B.I. and Scully would find out the complete truth as to why the aliens were coming to Earth.

Dialing the number on his cell phone having to be sitting in his coat pocket. It was at this particular moment when his secretary knocked on his door telling him that the local sheriff was here to speak with him once again.

He looked up to see her with the local sheriff standing at the door anxiously waiting. "Lewis, I understand you need to speak with me once again?" he responded with his heart rate shooting up slightly.

"I am just here to let you know that the local F.B.I. office along with Washington, D.C. had been called into the case of the young girl missing at the lake," he says calmly while making the editor and his heart rate much calmer thinking that it was all about the UFO.

"Have the parents of the missing girl been advised of the news about their daughter?" Morris just had to ask with the sensitive nature of the question.

"They have Morris. The parents will be flying in to help with any questions regarding their daughter and why was able to disappear alone." Sheriff Tompkins needed to say with some slight remorse in his voice.

"Son of a bitch! I just can't believe this Tompkins. I just hope to god that the little won't be found at all?" Morris cried out as his blood pressure rose slightly.

"Believe me, she won't be found since she is currently in a freezing unit at the warehouse until the aliens arrive on Earth. Believe me, Morris she is not going to be harmed at all for the most part."

Morris had been shaking his head at the comment Sheriff Tompkins had to say about the little girl to not be harm. "Are you serious? No way in hell are the aliens going to protect her at all. She is no doubt going to be used for testing." he felt the lump growing in his throat.

"Nevertheless Morris things are going to be alright when it comes to the little girl and the aliens wishing to become friendly with her once on board their spacecraft until they are eventually settled on Earth." Afterward, the sheriff will leave the editor's office heading back to his headquarters.

Anyway as for Morris, he continued to call those at the warehouse asking them to take it easy with the young girl.

Speaking to those at the warehouse. The conversation had been short with the main man telling Morris to leave things alone for now until they were ready with the aliens to be landing in a few days.

He was told to try and take it easy for now or else others from the outside of this town are going to be suspicious of your altitude as with those associated with getting the aliens here in the first place.

He hung up the phone telling his secretary that he was heading out for the rest of the evening. This will give her a chance to relax and watch her favorite movies on cable.

Meanwhile, Morris will be going to his favorite Bar called the Land Lover some six miles from the sheriff's office and his home. He needs a Scotch on the Rocks badly to help sorely with his bad nerves at the moment.
