Rias Pov…

I sat at the head of the table in the Occult Research Club room, my mind preoccupied with the recent reports from Sona. The room, filled with a mixture of antique furniture, always had a way of calming me, but today the weight of responsibility felt heavier than usual.

"We've received reports from Sona about increased stray devil activity in the area. We need to be vigilant and prepared for any encounters," I began, tapping my fingers lightly on the table to emphasize the importance of our discussion. I glanced at my peerage, noting their attentive expressions.

Kiba Yuuto, my sole Knight, leaned forward slightly, concern evident in his eyes. With his handsome face and charming demeanor, he was the epitome of a knight. "President, do we have any specific locations to focus on?"

"Yes, Sona has pinpointed a few hotspots," I replied, handing out a map with marked areas. "We'll need to patrol these areas regularly."

As the discussion moved on to potential recruits, I felt a mix of excitement and apprehension. We needed new strength, new allies to bolster our ranks.

Akeno Himejima, my Queen, and closest friend, twirled a lock of her long black hair thoughtfully. "Buchou, have you thought more about recruiting new members? We could use some fresh blood," she said, her voice lilting with amusement.

"Yes, Akeno. We have a single candidate right now. His name is Issei Hyoudou. We've gotten confirmation that he has a strong sacred gear within him, though we are still unsure of what it is exactly. Thanks to Koneko, we at least know it's draconic in nature," I said thoughtfully, tapping my chin. Issei's potential was undeniable, but his reputation made me hesitate.

Kiba frowned and crossed his arms. "Isn't he the one with a reputation for being a bit... lecherous?"

Akeno chuckled softly, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Yes, that's him. But who knows, maybe he just needs the right guidance... or a firm hand," she teased, winking playfully at me.

I sighed, shaking my head at Akeno's antics. "Akeno, you do realize not everyone can handle your... teaching."

"Oh, Rias, don't be such a prude," Akeno said, her voice dripping with playful condescension. "A little bit of fun never hurt anyone."

"Ecchi-senpai," Koneko Toujou, my cute little Rook, interjected quietly, drawing everyone's attention as she straightened in her chair. "Hn, Buchou, there's another one. Cale Froste."

I turned to Koneko, curiosity piqued. "Oh? What did you sense, Koneko? Another sacred gear?" My hope rose at the thought; more power would help me when I eventually had to fight that… man-child.

Koneko's eyes narrowed slightly, her expression serious. "He smells like a dragon. More potent than Issei. No sacred gear feeling."

I pondered this new information, tapping my fingers against the table rhythmically. Cale Froste had always been a bit of an enigma. I remembered the conversation I had with Sona about him. During the tour, he seemed to know more than he let on, his eyes sharp and cautious. Sona mentioned that she had tried to find out how many pieces it would require to reincarnate him and found it was too high for her.

A wave of cautious optimism washed over me. "A dragon's scent... that could mean at least significant latent power. However, Issei's sacred gear might offer more strength if we can unlock its potential," I voiced my thoughts aloud, hoping for some clarity.

Kiba nodded in agreement, uncrossing his arms. "Issei could be a valuable asset, especially if his sacred gear is as strong as we suspect. Though, I am not… certain about his proclivities."

Akeno leaned back in her chair, a playful smile on her lips. "Hu-fu-fu, looks like we might have some interesting new additions, President. It should be fun."

I rolled my eyes at Akeno's antics but couldn't help a small smile. "We'll focus on recruiting Issei first. If he declines or if we need additional strength, we can approach Cale. For now, keep an eye on both of them."

As the discussion wrapped up, I filed away the information about Cale for future consideration. I felt a mix of anticipation and cautious hope. "Let's stay vigilant and continue our patrols. Koneko, keep an eye on Cale discreetly. Akeno, prepare for a potential meeting with Issei," I instructed, my mind already planning the next steps.

"Yes, Buchou!" my peerage responded in unison, their dedication giving me a sense of reassurance.

After the meeting, I walked over to the window, letting my gaze drift outside. I noticed two different boys walking to class. One had longer brown hair tied back, and the other had pale blue hair in a shaggy cut.

Issei Hyoudou and Cale Froste, I thought, watching them. Issei was being chased around by the Kendo Club once again. Glancing back at the blue-haired boy, I noticed Cale carrying several boxes stacked taller than himself alongside Ms. Hanaka, the history teacher.

Both boys held potential, each in their own way. Issei's sacred gear was a mystery, but it was undeniably powerful. Cale, with his draconic scent, might just be an enigma worth exploring further.

I watched as Ms. Hanaka tripped over what appeared like nothing, and Cale held the entire stack on his left hand while catching her.

He does seem rather strong...

Cale Pov…

I sneezed suddenly, nearly dropping the boxes I was carrying for Ms. Hanaka. Quickly adjusting my grip, I made sure everything was secure.

"Bless you, Cale," Ms. Hanaka said, looking up at me with a smile. "Thank you for helping me with these. You really didn't have to."

"It's no problem, Ms. Hanaka," I replied, giving her a reassuring smile. "I'm happy to help."

As we continued walking, I mentally reminded myself to buy some cold medicine before heading into my Terraria world once the school day was done.

We reached the classroom, and I carefully set the boxes down on the desk. "Here you go. Anything else you need help with?"

Ms. Hanaka shook her head. "No, that's all for now. Thank you again, Cale. You're a lifesaver."

I nodded and made my way back to my own classroom, my thoughts already drifting to the work awaiting me in my world. But first, I needed to get through the rest of the school day and make that pharmacy stop.

As I walked through the halls, I felt a strange sensation, like someone was watching me. I glanced around but saw nothing out of the ordinary. Shaking off the feeling, I continued on my way.

After returning to class, I found my seat and settled in, trying to focus on the lesson. My mind kept drifting back to my plans for the evening, but I forced myself to pay attention.

"Stay focused, Cale," I muttered to myself, tapping my pen against the desk. The teacher's voice droned on, but I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off today.

At lunch, I decided to find a quiet spot to eat. The rooftop was my favorite place; it was peaceful and offered a great view of the city. As I headed up the stairs, I felt a strange sensation, like someone was watching me. I glanced around but saw nothing out of the ordinary. Shaking off the feeling, I continued on my way.

Settling down with my lunch, I took out my notebook and began sketching out ideas for my next Terraria project. The rooftop was quiet, save for the distant hum of city life below.

"Feeling creative today?" Asphodene's voice echoed in my mind, a playful tone in her words.

I smiled, glad for the company. "Yeah, just trying to plan out my next build. What do you think of a sky island?"

"Sounds ambitious," she replied. "But knowing you, it'll be amazing. Just don't forget to add some good defenses."

"Of course," I chuckled. "Can't have any unwanted guests crashing the party."

"So, how do you envision it?" Asphodene asked, genuinely interested. "Any particular theme or style?"

"I was thinking of a mix between medieval fantasy and comfort," I said, my mind racing with ideas. "Like ancient stone towers and a nice old cottage home. Maybe even some floating platforms connected by bridges."

"That sounds awesome," she said, excitement in her voice. "Don't forget to include some secret rooms."

I laughed. "Absolutely. Hidden compartments, hidden rooms, the works. It's going to be epic. Ah, but those will have to wait until we've found the mechanic so I can get some actuators."

Asphodene's laughter rang in my head, before her voice turned curious. "You've been tense today. What's on your mind?"

I hesitated, looking around the rooftop. "I don't know. I've just felt... Like someone's been watching me."

"Hmm," she mused. "Maybe it's just because you're becoming more aware of your surroundings from fighting so many enemies? Though, I don't know who'd be watching you at school..."

"Yeah, that makes sense," I spoke, pulling out my lunch. "Thanks, Asphodene."

"Anytime," she said warmly.

I opened the container, revealing chicken Cordon Bleu, a dish my mother used to make often in my past life. She had shared the recipe with me when I had to move into a dorm apartment for school, as commuting from our home deep in the woods was too far and it was the closest school around.

As I started to eat, Asphodene's voice piped up again, this time with a hint of jealousy. "That looks amazing. You know, it's not fair that I don't get to eat any of your cooking."

I chuckled. "I promise to make you something when I come over after school. I want to properly meet you and your sister Eridani then."

"Deal," she replied, sounding satisfied but a bit nervous.

I took a bite of the chicken Cordon Bleu, savoring the flavors and the nostalgia it brought. As I ate, I suddenly heard a grumbling noise from around the corner of the roof. Curiosity and a bit of worry spurred me to investigate quietly.

I trekked over and peeked around the corner to find a short white-haired girl with yellow eyes—someone I recognized from the show. Koneko. She was just sitting looking a bit surprise at my sudden arrival like she hadn't expected me to come and look.

I chuckled softly, trying not to startle her. "What are you doing here, shorty?"

She didn't respond right away, just stared at my food with a hungry look in her eyes.

I smiled and held out the container with the remaining chicken Cordon Bleu, her eyes following it as I moved it around. "I'll share if you explain why you were hiding around the corner." I don't know why I had said that, but her hungry stare reminded me too much of my cat in my past life, Pip. I didn't get to see him often, only when I was home for the holidays.

The girl hesitated for a moment before nodding slightly. "Hnn," she hummed, taking the offered food.

As she ate, I sat down next to her. "So, what brings you to my quiet lunch spot?"

She swallowed a bite before answering. "Roof was mine first."

I raised an eyebrow, amused. "Oh, really? I didn't see your name on it."

She glared at me for a moment before taking another bite. "Hnn."

"Well, I suppose I can share," I said with a grin. "If you tell me your name."

She hesitated, then nodded slightly. "Koneko Toujou."

"Nice to meet you, Koneko," I said, careful to act like I was learning her name for the first time. "I'm Caelus Froste but you can just call me Cale.

She hesitated, then nodded. "Okay."

As we sat together in comfortable silence, I felt a sense of contentment. After a few moments, I broke the silence. "So, Koneko, do you come up here often?"

She nodded. "Hnn."

"I can see why. It's peaceful," I said, looking out over the town. "A good place to think."

Koneko glanced at me, curiosity flickering in her yellow eyes. "What were you drawing?"

"Oh, just some ideas for a game I'm working on," I explained, showing her the sketches. "It's a sky island."

She studied the drawings quietly, then nodded approvingly. "Looks cool."

"Thanks," I said, smiling. "I think it'll be a lot of fun to make."

Koneko finished her food and handed the container back to me. "Thanks... for the food."

"You're welcome," I replied. "Anytime you want more, just let me know."

She gave a small nod and stood up. "Hn."

"See you again, Koneko," I said, watching as she walked away.

As I sat there, finishing my lunch, I was surprisingly not as worried about the devils anymore. Not if they were this easy to please… and, ya know, don't ask for my soul.

As I packed up my things and prepared to head back to class, Asphodene's voice echoed in my mind, filled with curiosity. "So, who was that girl? She seemed... interesting."

"That's Koneko Toujou," I replied, feeling comfortable sharing this with Asphodene. "She's in her first year, two years younger than me. I know her from the show this world is based on."

"She seemed pretty reserved," Asphodene noted. "But she also looked like she enjoyed your cooking." She teased.

I chuckled. "Yeah, she did. I guess food is a good way to break the ice."

"Do you think she's just shy, or is there something more to her?" she asked, her tone thoughtful.

"I'm not sure," I admitted. "My knowledge of the characters comes from my old roommate's very biased opinions on how 'waifu-able' they all were. From what I remember, most of the characters in Rias's peerage have really messed up pasts. Koneko might be no different, but I don't want to pry too much. Maybe she'll open up if we keep having lunch together."

"Good idea," Asphodene agreed. "Just be yourself, and she'll come around."

"Yeah, you're right," I said, "Besides it was very funny seeing her stare at my food like that,"

"It really was, I don't think she even blinked until you gave it to her!" She laughed out, as she spoke.

As I stood up to leave the rooftop, I glanced down and saw the perverted trio getting their asses handed to them by the kendo team. I couldn't help but laugh at the sight.

"What's so funny?" Asphodene asked curiously.

I pointed down at the scene below. "The perverted trio is getting their asses handed to them by the kendo team again."

Asphodene snickered. "It's nice to see some justice being served, even if it's just for a moment. I better not hear you get up to anything like them mister!"

"Definitely," I agreed. "I'll stick to building my sky island, and more fun things... like maybe beat another boss!"

With that, I headed back to class, feeling a bit lighter. The rest of the day passed uneventfully, but my mind kept drifting back to the rooftop and my unexpected lunch companion.

As the final bell rang, I gathered my things and made my way out of the classroom. The walk home was uneventful, giving me time to think about the day's events. Koneko's had been surprisingly friendly, yet I still felt a bit apprehensive to just trust them, I don't know them, I don't know the show, and I am not my think-with-his-dick-first dormmate Daniel.

Ignoring that though, I was going to be busy as I arrived home, dropping my backpack onto the living room floor. Now, normally I would've portaled right into my world and gotten to grinding. However, since I've unlocked the Celestial Cartography, I can finally meet Asphodene at the observatory Hyperborea, and her twin sister Eridani.

Though that's not the part stopping me from going, Asphodene had asked me to hold off on entering the world in general, though I have no clue as to why. Maybe she figures I would sneak over before they were ready?

Bah, I have no clue. But more importantly, I promised her food I cooked. I had picked up some ingredients to make a nice two-layer chocolate cake, so that's what I'll do first.

I set to work in the kitchen, mixing the ingredients for the cake. The familiar process helped calm my nerves, and I found myself humming as I worked. As I poured the batter into the cake pans and placed them in the oven, I glanced at the clock. I still had some time before I could head over to the observatory.

While the cakes baked, I thought about my first real meeting with Asphodene and Eridani. Asphodene had become a close friend, someone I talked to and joked with daily. Meeting her in person felt like a big deal, but I was more excited than nervous. Eridani, on the other hand, was more of a mystery. From what I knew, she was the more mature and strategic of the two sisters.

The timer dinged, pulling me out of my thoughts. I carefully took the cakes out of the oven and set them aside to cool. As they cooled, I whipped up the chocolate frosting, making sure it was smooth and creamy. Once the cakes were ready, I layered and frosted them, taking my time to make sure it looked perfect.

With the cake ready, I packed it up carefully. Standing in front of the portal, I took a deep breath. "Alright, here goes."

I stepped through the portal and into my Terraria world. Immediately, I was greeted by Seth.

"Hey, Cale! You look ready for something special," Seth said, noticing my attire. Namely a button-up grey shirt, a pair of jeans and my regular shoes… yea, I need the Clothier soon.

I smiled, feeling the excitement build. "Yeah, I'm meeting Asphodene and Eridani."

Seth nodded approvingly. "That's great! Just be yourself, and you'll be fine."

"Thanks, Seth," I said, appreciating his support.

Seth glanced at the cake I was holding. "Nice touch with the cake by the way. I'm sure they'll love it."

"I hope so," I replied. "I've been looking forward to meeting them both properly for a while,"

Just then, Asphodene's voice came through the disc, sounding nervous but excited. "Cale, we're ready for you. You can come through the celestial cartography menu on your disc."

Doing just that, I waved Seth goodbye and opened the portal, instantly a black opening seemingly grew out of nothing and a vacuum seemingly started to pull at me.

Stepping through the black-hole-like portal, I found myself landing on a pristine marble platform suspended in the sky. The evening sun cast a golden glow over the ancient observatory before me, its fortress-like walls adorned with creeping vines. A cobbled path led through an overgrown garden, flanked by four large, worn pillars.

I chuckled to myself at the irony of Asphodene living on a sky island, much like the one I had been planning to build. The sight was both awe-inspiring and comforting, as it reminded me of old fantasy shows I used to watch with my family.

"Well, this is a sight," I murmured, taking a moment to soak it all in. Beside me, Sir Clucksworth, strutted around, his monocle gleaming in the soft light (No don't ask me where he got it, I got back from school one day and it was just there…).

"Come on, Sir Clucksworth," I said, starting to walk along the cobbled path. "Let's go meet our hosts."

As I walked along the cobbled path, taking in the serene beauty of the overgrown garden, something unusual caught my eye. Among the ancient trees and carefully tended flowerbeds was a strange, neon metallic root with a glowing core. It was suspended between four large pillars, each one worn with age but still standing tall. The root pulsed with a mysterious energy, its bright glow contrasting with the surroundings.

I couldn't help but be drawn to it. The root was unlike anything I had seen, (though that figures as I had never played the Star's above mod, it was a recent addition to my pc before my death). Its neon glow was almost hypnotic, casting an eerie light on the surrounding plants.

"What is that?" I muttered, stepping closer to get a better look. The root's metallic surface was covered in complex patterns that seemed to shift and change with each pulse of light. The glowing core at its center pulsed rhythmically, almost like it was alive.

I reached out a hand, hovering just above the root's surface. A faint warmth radiated from it, not unpleasant, but definitely strange. I could feel the energy coming off it, a kind of raw, untamed power that sent a shiver down my spine.

"I'll need to ask Asphodene about this," I thought, making a mental note of the root. My fingers twitched with the urge to touch it, to see if I could learn more. But I held back, as I didn't full trust it not to burn my finger or something with the amount of heat it gave off.

With a final, lingering glance at the root, I tore myself away and continued down the path. The mystery of the root was a puzzle I would come back to once I had more information. For now, I had a meeting to focus on, and I didn't want to keep Asphodene and Eridani waiting.

The main entryway of the observatory loomed ahead, its large wooden door intricately carved with celestial designs. Taking a deep breath to steady my nerves, I knocked, eager to meet the two Starfarer's.

As soon as my knuckles rapped against the door, it swung open to reveal Asphodene. She was dressed in a vibrant purple dress that brought out the striking blue of her hair and eyes. Her excitement was contagious, making her look even more radiant.

"Cale! Welcome!" she greeted warmly, her enthusiasm brightening the space.

"Hey, Asphodene," I replied, smiling. "You look amazing. That dress really suits you."

"Thanks! Come in, come in!" she urged, a faint blush creeping onto her cheeks as she stepped aside to let me in. As I crossed the threshold, I couldn't help but marvel at the interior. The observatory was a blend of ancient architecture and mystical artifacts, with star charts and enchanted items decorating the walls.

"Wow, this is incredible," I said, turning to Asphodene. "You actually live here?"

"Yep, my sister and I take care of the place. It's our home and our lab," she explained, her eyes shining with pride. "Speaking of which, come meet Eridani."

She led me through the observatory to the main kitchen, where Eridani was waiting. She stood with a calm and welcoming demeanor, wearing a yellow apron overtop an elegant dark blue dress that perfectly complemented her long, flowing purple hair tied in a ponytail and her striking purple eyes.

"Eridani, this is Cale," Asphodene introduced.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Cale," Eridani said with a warm smile, making me feel instantly at ease.

"The pleasure is mine," I replied, feeling a bit awestruck. "You look stunning, Eridani. Thank you for having me."

Asphodene chuckled. "Relax, Cale. We're just regular people. Well, mostly."

"Mostly?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

Eridani smirked. "Asphodene likes to think she's special because of her 'unique charm.'"

"Hey, it's not just charm. It's a whole package!" Asphodene shot back playfully.

I laughed, feeling more relaxed. "Well, the place definitely has a unique charm. And so do you two."

Asphodene grinned. "See? He gets it."

Eridani rolled her eyes but smiled. "Why don't we sit and get to know each other a bit?"

I nodded, taking a seat. Asphodene and Eridani joined me, and we began to talk. The sisters shared more about their adventures and their mission related to the Ardor, a mysterious force they were researching.

"We're trying to understand the Ardor and its impact on our world," Eridani said, her tone serious. "It's a complex and dangerous force that seems to be spreading from the far edges of the galaxy."

Asphodene nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, and it's been quite the journey so far. Lots of challenges, but also a lot of fun."

I listened intently, fascinated by their stories. "It sounds incredible. You both must be really brave to take on something like this."

"Bravery is part of it," Eridani agreed. "But it's also about being smart and strategic. We've spent a lot of time researching and taking trips amongst the galaxy to try and find out the cause."

"Sounds like you make a great team," I said, admiring their dedication and teamwork.

"We do," Asphodene said with a grin. "And we're glad to have you with us, Cale. Your skills and knowledge are going to be a huge help."

"Thank you," I replied, feeling honored. "I'm really excited to be a part of this."

After a while talking, I remembered the cake I had promised Asphodene. "Oh, I almost forgot," I said, placing the chocolate cake on the table. Asphodene's eyes widened with delight, and both sisters' radiant smiles made the atmosphere even more inviting.

"Wow, this looks amazing, Cale!" Asphodene exclaimed. "Did you really make this?"

"Yeah," I replied, feeling a bit proud. "I promised you something special after you saw my lunch, remember?"

"Thank you so much," Eridani said, her smile warm and appreciative. "Let's dig in."

As we started eating, Asphodene couldn't help but comment, "Cale, you're spoiling us. First your company, now this delicious cake."

I chuckled. "Just keeping my promise."

"Well, it's working," Asphodene said with a wink.

"So, what's it like living in an observatory?" I asked, curious about their day-to-day life.

"It's a lot of work," Eridani admitted. "We spend a lot of time maintaining the equipment and doing research. But it's also rewarding. We get to see things most people can only dream of."

"And we have plenty of fun too," Asphodene added. "Like building a mini-putt course in the training grounds."

"A mini-putt course?" I echoed, laughing. "That's awesome."

"It is," Asphodene said proudly. "Maybe we can play a round later."

"Count me in," I said, already looking forward to it.

After finishing the delicious cake and engaging in lively conversation, Asphodene clapped her hands together. "Alright, Cale, ready to see more of our humble abode?"

"Absolutely," I said, feeling excited about seeing everything inside.

Asphodene led the way, with Eridani walking beside me, offering insightful comments about the observatory. We first visited the grand library, filled with ancient tomes and magical artifacts. The walls were lined with shelves that seemed to stretch infinitely, each packed with books of various sizes and bindings.

"This is one of my favorite spots," Asphodene said, her eyes sparkling. "I could spend hours in here just reading and learning."

"It's impressive," I said, running my fingers along the spines of some old, leather-bound books. "There's so many books here."

Eridani nodded. "We've collected texts from all over this world, and some even from other realms. It's a treasure trove of information."

"Wow, no wonder you guys are so smart," I said with a grin. "I bet you've read every book in here."

Asphodene laughed. "Not even close! But I've made a good dent."

From the library, we moved on to the observatory's attic. Eridani showed me the powerful telescope they used to monitor the stars and the Ardor's progress. The telescope was an intricate piece of machinery, beautifully crafted with celestial motifs.

"This is where we do most of our celestial observations," Eridani explained, adjusting the telescope's position. "We track the movements of the stars and monitor any anomalies."

I peered through the telescope, marveling at the clarity and detail. "It's incredible. You can see so much."

Asphodene beamed. "And it's not just for work. Sometimes we use it for stargazing and enjoying the beauty of the night sky."

"Sounds like you have the best view around," I said, impressed.

"Perks of living in an observatory," Asphodene said with a wink.

Next, we headed to the training grounds outside. It was a large, open area with various training equipment, and, to my surprise, a whimsical mini-putt course Asphodene had built herself.

"This is our playground," Asphodene said proudly. "Training, relaxing, having fun—it all happens here."

I laughed, looking at the mini-putt course. "You really built this?"

"Yep!" Asphodene said with a grin. "It's a great way to unwind after a long day of research and training."

"Want to give it a try?" Eridani suggested, a hint of amusement in her eyes.

"Definitely," I said, already feeling the camaraderie with these two incredible sisters.

We spent some time playing mini-putt, with Asphodene's playful energy making the game even more enjoyable.

"You're pretty good at this, Cale," Asphodene remarked as I sank another putt.

"Beginner's luck," I said modestly, though I was secretly pleased.

Eridani smiled. "You're a quick learner. It's nice to have someone who can keep up with Asphodene's antics."

"Hey!" Asphodene protested, but she was laughing. "My antics are what make this fun."

As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the observatory, we made our way back to the garden. There, the neon glow of the root like thing caught my eye again.

"This thing is something special," I said, unable to tear my eyes away from it. "What is it exactly?"

Asphodene and Eridani exchanged glances before Eridani spoke. "The Celestriad Root is a unique artifact we've discovered. It's vital for crafting the stellaglyph, which is essential for our cosmic voyages and the fight against the Ardor."

I listened intently as they explained the purpose of the Celestriad Root and its significance. It was… a relic of sorts, though my only use for it would be crafting Stellagraphs from gems.

"We're still uncovering its full potential," Asphodene added. "But we know it's crucial for our success."

I nodded, feeling a mix of awe and responsibility. "It sounds incredible. I can't wait to get crafting with it."

"Just be careful," Eridani warned with a smile. "Asphodene can get a bit carried away sometimes."

"Hey, it's called enthusiasm!" Asphodene shot back, sticking her tongue out playfully.

I laughed. "Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on her." Much to her chagrin as she puffed out her cheeks in a pout.

"So, how did you guys find this thing?" I asked, genuinely curious.

Asphodene shrugged. "It was a bit of luck, really. We were exploring a remote part of the observatory grounds when we stumbled upon it. At first, we had no idea what it was."

"But after some research, we figured out it could be incredibly valuable," Eridani added. "Not just in a monetary sense, but in terms of its potential."

"Wow, that's amazing. It must have been quite the discovery," I said, eyeing up the glowing root.

"Yeah, it was. And now we get to figure out how to use it properly," Asphodene said with a grin.

As the evening turned to night, the observatory was illuminated by the soft glow of celestial lamps. The stars shone brightly overhead, visible through the large windows. The sisters' stunning dresses and welcoming smiles left a very lasting impression on me.

We sat back in the main room, enjoying the quiet and the view of the night sky.

"So, Cale," Asphodene began, "what's the most exciting thing you've done since you got here?"

I thought for a moment. "Honestly? Today might be at the top of the list. Meeting you two, seeing this incredible place, and learning about you as well... It's been pretty amazing." I gave them a playful wink, hoping to see a reaction.

Asphodene blushed slightly, and Eridani's eyes widened for a moment before she composed herself with a soft smile. "We're glad you came, it's been really fun getting to know you," Eridani said.

"Just remember to bring more cake next time," Asphodene added with a wink, clearly recovering her playful demeanor.

"Deal," I laughed. "I'll see what I can do."

"Seriously though, we're really glad you came," Eridani said, her tone sincere. "It's nice to have another person to share this place with."

"Thanks for having me. This place is incredible," I said sincerely.

"Oh, Cale, before you go," Asphodene said, her eyes lighting up with excitement. "Remember the Essence of the Aegis I gave you?"

"Of course," I said, reaching into my inventory. I pulled out the small, red wisp-like essence, its fiery glow casting a warm light in the room. "This little guy, right?"

"Yep, that's it!" Asphodene said, clearly pleased. "You'll need to craft the Aegis Driver with it. Trust me, it's going to be so cool! You really need to craft it."

I placed the essence into my inventory, feeling its energy even through the storage. "I'm on it. Thanks for the heads up."

"Don't forget to tell us how it goes," Eridani added with a smile.

"Absolutely," I replied, feeling a strong sense of camaraderie. "I'll keep you both updated."

With the Essence of the Aegis safely stored in my inventory, I felt a renewed sense of purpose. As I stepped back through the portal, I turned and waved back at Asphodene and Eridani, who waved enthusiastically in return.

"See you soon, Cale!" Asphodene called out.

"Take care!" Eridani added.

I smiled and stepped through the portal, leaving the observatory behind. I found myself back in the main Terraria world, the familiar sights and sounds greeting me. Even though I had a lot of fun, I was dead tired after the long day. Figuring I'd crash here tonight instead of my apartment, I headed to my house.

Inside, I slipped into my bed, the comfort of the familiar surroundings wrapping around me. Just as I was about to drift off to sleep, a chilling message sounded out in my mind:

"You feel an evil presence watching you..."

That's chapter 5 folks! How did you lot like it? I think I'm happy with it anyways.

Onto the more fun and very important chapter question for today, While I think it's clear (or at least I think so) on who Cale might end up dating from the terraria end, who would you want him to end up with from the DxD realm? And who do you think is more likely? Cause I am struggling to figure out who I want for him to date there.
