"What were you thinking?" Ladybug hisses at me, and I tap my claws together in an apologetic way. "Sorry," I cough, "my cat tendencies took over." "I..you…." Ladybug turns away, spluttering and pulling something from her yo-yo. "I need a Starbucks!" she declares and opens the portal. "Bring me back a mocha!" I call, then plop down to wait.

Man, I wish I had a ball of yarn right now, keep me occupied, my thoughts drift, and then I realize Ladybug's right, maybe I've been in the cat suit to long. She comes back with three drinks, and I smile for she is sporting a very stylish whipped cream mustache. Does she know?

"What are you smiling at? What did you do?" "My lady, that's a Taylor Swift lyric and I am a good boi." I plop down on my bottom to prove it. "Okay, first of all, its look what you made me do, and when you wear that angelic expression I know you were up to something naughty!"

"No, I paw-mise. Been sitting here all this time." "Fine." she hands a milk, and my promised mocha. "And I was smiling at your whip cream mustache," I tell her and she gasps. "Why didn't you tell me earlier?" I shrug. "You were making sure I was being good." "Oh, cheese and crackers," she groans as I crack up.

"Come on," I hold open my arms, "Do you need a cuddle?" she nods, climbing into my lap. "Yes, please," she snuggles underneath my chin, activating purr mode.

"So, what are we going to do about Feather Face?" I ask, kissing the top of her head. Ladybug nearly spits out her coffee, and ends up choking. I pat her back until she recovers. "Could we refrain from puns until all the coffee is gone?" "Love, for you, that'd be forever. And no, the puns don't stop."

"Okay, let's be serious," she says. "He's going to stay a bird eventually, and by the look of things that won't be much longer." "Cat?" her voice is softer, and I can tell by the sound of her voice she doesn't want to ask the next question. "What happens if that happens?" "We'll figure it out when the time comes. So, more disguises?" Ladybug crinkles her brow.

"No, if its a fight he wants, then that's what he's going to get." "I'm going to need lots of tissues," I tell her. "Cat, this is a villain we're talking about. I doubt we'll be shedding tears!" "No, my allergies." "Don't worry, I have your clothespin handy."

I stroke her silky hair. "Little kiss before we go fight the meanie?" she giggles. "Okay."

Maybe I don't know what I meant by a little kiss as our lips brush, every nerve coming alive. My lips leave hers, tugging gently on the shell of her ear, causing her to make a soft sound. She ruffles my hair and smiles.

"Come on, let's go fight the Big Bad Crow."

The servants must have been told not to harm or capture us as we stroll down the length of the hall as if we were out for a walk.

Two servants open a set of double doors, and I never seen so much gold in my life.

"Ah, Ladybug, Cat Noir. Come to your senses, eh? Don't worry, your Miraculous will be put to good use." Ladybug gasps, and I turn to her, seeing raw pain in her eyes. What triggered that emotion? I only have seconds to think about it, when her eyes turn to blue fire.

"I'll never let you take my Miraculous, or Cat Noir's. But if you want them, your going to have fight us both, after all, we're a team."

Even in the midst of danger, we share a loving look and my knees go wobbly. Even with all the challenges we've been through together, I wouldn't want anyone else by my side.

Corvus sighs. "So be it."

"Move, Cat!" Ladybug tackles me to the ground as a flurry storm of feathers explodes before our eyes and Corvus aims straight at us.

With a loud caw, Corvus sheathes his talons, a cold hard look in his yellow eye. Ladybug races up one of the walls as Corvus's wicked beak clacks close to her ears, trying to grab her earrings. And then it hits me why Ladybug looked so anguished earlier, if she loses her Miraculous, she'll lose her memories of me.

A shriek wakes me from my thoughts and I look upwards to see that Corvus has a gouged a nasty scrape on Ladybug's cheek, a red angry wound now visible. Her facial expression changes as she runs, and suddenly she drops towards the floor.

"M'lady, I got you!" I catch her in my arms, and we topple backwards. "Cat," she croaks. "Time for you to be a kitty."

Ladybug can still fight, as she expertly whirls her yo-yo, but I've always been the one to handle the one-on-one combat.

But I am an expert pounce and I leap towards my nemesis. However, Corvus is ready with his beak, pecking hard in the shoulder. I hiss, clapping a hand to my shoulder.

Everyone now has a sustained injuries, and Corvus flies down to the floor. Then, with a sudden flash, he's just a bird hopping about the room. We wait for him to change back, but when he collapses on the floor in a pile of feathers, neither Ladybug and I know what to think.

I crawl over to Ladybug, gasping and she clings to my arm as we wait for Corvus to show any sign of life.

Just then, a portal opens and a Guardian comes through holding a small cage. Ladybug shoots him a look of panic, but gives us a sad but assuring smile. "Birds don't live long lives. Don't worry, he'll be taken of."

We watch as the portal opens and disappears, then slump forward, blacking out holding each other.
