Chapter 3
A few hours later Astrid woke up from her deep slumber, groaning as she felt aches and pain in every muscle and bone in her body. However, she felt lighter and her magical core felt more powerful. Her mind no longer felt jumbled or dark.
"Lady Potter-Black-" Astrid's head moved to the side and her eyes landed on a female goblin.
"My name is SilverDagger and I'm one of the healers. I have two potions here for you to take. The first one is a pain reliever and the second is a nutrition potion you'll need to take before eating some lunch."
SilverDagger handed Astrid the first potion and she down the whole vial in one gulp without any hesitation. She made a cringe in disgust at the awful taste, but she signed as the pain and aches vanished. The Goblin had to hold back her amusement as she handed the next potion. She nodded in approval as Astrid gulped the potion down.
"Wonderful. How do you feel now?" Astrid lifted herself and leaned against the headboard. She only felt the stiffness that could be gone with a hot shower.
"I feel amazing. More like myself. Thank you for helping me. I appreciated it." SilverDagger was left speechless by the respect given to her. Especially by a young witch. She hasn't interacted with the magical world since many often saw goblins as nothing more than disgusting creatures. The male goblins are protective of their females.
"I- You're very welcome, Little Lady. Now, your food will arrive in a moment. Do you perhaps want to see what you look like now?" Astrid jolted up so fast, forgetting about that glamour that was put on her. She was curious how much she changed without the glamour.
"Yes please." SilverDagger conjured up a full-body mirror and gestured for Astrid to take a look. She hesitantly swung her feet off the bed before standing up. She instantly noticed how tall she got compared to before she got purged. She slowly approached the mirror and gasped as she saw herself.
The first thing she noticed was how much her skin changed tone. She was rather pale before, but now she looked like she was in the sun. Her once untamable hair is now wavy/straight and more tamable. It looks so much better than before. Her eyes roamed over her face. Her eyes are now two different colors, one was silver with green specks and the other was green with hazel specks. She couldn't help but feel pleased with the changes she saw. Her jawline got sharper and her lips got fuller. She looked more mature and more attractive. She was surprised as she had more of Sirius' features than her father's. A smile formed on her face as she saw her malnourished body was now curvy and healthy. Her body filled out in all the right places. With a bit of exercise, she could build up some muscles.
"Here is some food for you Little Lady," SilverDagger said, gaining Astrid's attention. A playful pout formed on her lips.
"I'm not little anymore SilverDagger! I mean, look I'm taller than before" SilverDagger let out an amused chuckle as she placed the food on the wheeled table and pushed it to the bed.
"Yes. I have to admit, your height was a shock. From what I read you were 4'11, now you're 5'8. Now come and sit and eat your food." She said sternly. Astrid sighed as she approached the bed with a slight smirk.
Astrid settled into the bed, putting the duvet over her legs before looking at the food that was delivered. Her stomach growled a little at the smell of the chicken pot pie with some pumpkin juice.
"This looks bloody delicious. You're an angel, SilverDagger." She tutted at her language but she couldn't help but smile. Already knowing that Astrid Potter-Black was one of the only witches she was fond of.
"Hush now child and eat your food"
Four hours later Astrid walked out of Gringotts. Her Ladyship and Heirship rings sat comfortably on her fingers. For safety reasons, she made sure they were invisible to everyone but herself. Silverdagger provided her with three weeks' worth of nutrition potions to help her be able to eat proper meals and not feel sick. King Ragnok had given her a list of properties she owned, along with a black card that worked for both worlds. Ragnok also decided to put a team together to track down Voldemort's other Horcrux by using the one that was in her scar.
As she walked through Diagon Alley, she decided to do some shopping since her sizes had changed and didn't have any that truly fit. She first went and bought a new trunk with more compartments and better security charms. Astrid left the store with a black trunk with silver accents that he shrunk and put in her pocket. It had six compartments, all having extension and feather-light charms and powerful wards. It could be only open with parseltongue.
She stood to the side, thinking about where to go next when a loud hoot caught her attention. Her eyes lit up at the sight of Hedwig heading to her. She held her arm out and she immediately latched on. Hedwig gave a soft hoot as she stroked her feathers.
"Hello gorgeous, got a letter for me?" She chuckled as Hedwig nibbled her ear and she grabbed the letters. Her heart fluttered at the familiar writing on the front of the letter.
"Hermione" She whispered to herself. She reluctantly put them in her pocket. Resisting the urge to respond immediately she still had a few things to do.
"Go hunting sweet girl. I won't be finished for a few more hours and we'll stay at the Leaky." With a soft hoot and a nibble on her ear, Hedwig took flight again.
Over the next few hours, she went from store to store, picking up anything that seemed useful or caught her attention. She ended up buying over sixty books on a variety of subjects that were once taught at Hogwarts. Like Wizard Traditions, Advance DADA, Pure-Blood Etiquette, and a guide on how to be a Perfect Lord/Lady of a Prestigious House. She also went to various clothing stores and bought clothes that were muggle-style and had them charmed to grow with her and wouldn't tear or stain. She also bought some robes made from some expensive fabrics, some dragon-hide boots, some heels, and heeled boots. She also found a section that sold jewelry. She left the store feeling happy with her purchases. She got a silver necklace and bracelet with onyx stones embedded in both.
When the sun began to set, Astrid decided to book a room for a few days and picked up some dinner. Tom, the bartender at the Leaky Cauldron, was happy to accommodate him, although he had no clue Astrid was Electra Potter-Black. After some Shepherd's Pie, she took a quick shower and settled into the bed.
