Now onto the story.

Horrific Changes

Spider-Boy growled to himself as he moved as quickly as he could, swinging as fast as he could towards the Roxxon Plaza.

'You will pay for this Venom, I will get you and I will save Jessica!' He thought furiously.

"Hey, dude, what the hell?!" Black Panther suddenly called out over their radio.

"Back out of this, this is my job." Spider-Boy growled darkly.

"What, you can't just shut us out!" Batgirl protested.

Iron Man then cut in. "We're here to help you dude, you need our help."

Spider-Boy scoffed. "Help, what help can you guys give me, you don't have any stake in this, besides, with this new power, Venom can't stop me."

"Dude, do you hear yourself." Blue Beetle protested in shock.

"Yeah, don't you realize what you sound like." White Tiger added.

Spider-Boy didn't care and replied sharply. "Like someone who's going to rip Venom's head off and save Jessica, you don't get it, I can do this, I'm the hero!"

"What the hell?" Wasp gasped.

But Spider-Boy had heard enough and shut off the radio, cutting them off and continued to make his way there, he had almost arrived at the location.

'This is it, I'm gonna make that slimy monster pay for this.' He thought angrily. 'It's time he learned that he made a mistake coming back, I don't care what powers he's unlocked, he's no match for the power I have acquired.'

Yet in the back of his mind, he couldn't help but wonder just what was going on, something about this didn't feel right.

But he ignored it, he couldn't afford to wonder about that right now, as he quickly flipped through the air and landed on his feet in more or less the middle of the run down abandoned old Roxxon Plaza.

"Where are you!?" Spider-Boy cried out angrily.

But there was nothing, no sound, no sign of Venom, no sigh of Jessica. He began to wonder, but before he had the chance he heard it, a low, almost insane chuckle.

"Little Spider crawls into the trap!" The insane voice cried out.

Reacting, as well as relying on his new suit, Spider-Boy narrowly dodged the attack, an attack by a red arm, with the hand transformed into something resembling an axe which tried to cut into him but missed.

"You!" Spider-Boy yelled.

He could see his attacker clearly now, the red humanoid Symbiote Venom had referred to as Carnage.

"How ironic, a spider caught in a web." Carnage laughed, morphing his other hand so both resembled axe blades now.

But Spider-Boy was in no mood for this. "Where is she?!"

"Tsk, tsk, tsk." Carnage laughed. "Can't be getting the reward before the trial!"

"You think is a game! You-!" Spider-Boy yelled but quickly cut himself off.

This was because he had to dodge as Carnage lashed out with his axe blades but missed due to that timely dodge. He couldn't take this anymore, he decided then and there, if Carnage wanted a fight, he was going to get it and then he was going to tell Spider-Boy what he wanted to know.

Carnage continued to cackle insanely before being cut short by Spider-Boy launching himself towards the red hued Symbiote with a roar of anger and began to pummel him in the face.

"YOU! WILL! ANSWER! ME! NOW!" He screamed, punctuating each word with a punch before Carnage unleashed red tentacles from his body to launch Spider-Boy away.

He then flipped up and laughed again.

"Oh little Spider, that temper will get you in trouble." He teased.

He watched as the Spider-Boy suddenly flipped back up and was clearly still enraged.

"I think you're the one who is in trouble!" He snapped.

With that he suddenly used his webs to launch himself through the air and, before Carnage could attack again, he got a blast of web right in the face and by the time he cleared it, he looked around wildly, Spider-Boy was gone, he couldn't see him anywhere.

"Little Spider, come out to play." He taunted jokingly.

That turned out to be a mistake. For Spider-Boy had been lying in wait and suddenly dropped down, landing on Carnage's head with both feet before continuing to brutally beat Carnage up and sent him with a powerful throw against one of Roxxon's abandoned devices and smirked as he webbed Carnage to the device before swinging over to the controls he watched the Symbiote struggle for a moment.

"That's sonic generator you're trapped against, Carnage, I know you freaks are hurt by that." Spider-Boy growled in a low, dangerous voice. "So if I were you, I'd start talking."

He took great pleasure in the panicked look on Carnage's face.

"His, his favourite place." Carnage burst out in terror. "Venom said he was taking the girl to his...his other self's favourite place."

Spider-Boy thought for a moment.

Finally it hit him, he knew exactly where that was and nodded.

"Alright, good...now." He said, reaching for the controls any way.

"Dude, what the hell!?"

Spider-Boy spun around angrily to see the other Avengers, save Speed Demon, had arrived, all staring in horror at him.

"He's a monster, he deserves it." Spider-Boy countered.

Black Panther glared. "You yourself said it, no one person should be judge, jury and executioner."

"Tch." He snapped. "Fine, waste your time trying to get that thing taken in. I have more important things to do."

"What, you-"

But he ignored them and left, heading for the location he had been told about which left them with Carnage, while also being frantic.

"What do we do, he's acting so strange?" White Tiger asked worriedly.

Black Panther shook his head. "I don't know...he's going to get himself killed if he keeps this up."

The others didn't say anything at that moment, but they all certainly agreed and were even more worried than before. They had to get after him before it was too late, if it wasn't already.
