A\N: This is my second Willicia oneshot, and as always updates will be sporadic. In this one, I'm introducing an original character. I'm not sure how many she'll be in but she will be in a few of these oneshots. I hope you enjoy, my Angels.
Oneshot 2 title: Nightmares
Oneshot 2 summary:Alicia is having nightmares about witnessing Will's death.
POV: Third person.
Chapter count: 1
There's a gun in Jeffery Grant's hand, pointed right at her. She closes her eyes and everyone in her life flashes before her:
Peter, her husband.
Zach and Grace, her babies.
Cary, her partner and best friend.
Kalinda, her once best friend.
Her mother and brother, the two people who she had to take care of when her mother and father divorced, but didn't take care of her when her life was being ripped apart.
Diane, her former boss, mentor and friend.
Will Gardner, the man she loves more than her own husband, the one man who would do anything in his power to make sure she's safe, and could have seen a time where she could have had some kind of future with.
"LEESH! NO!"
Her eyes snap open when she hears him: there's only one person who calls her 'Leesh' and he hates her. He'd never run into a courtroom and try to save her, not anymore. But here he is: being his savior just like always.
A BANG echoes around her and she's knocked to the floor with a scream as Will pushes her out the way. She sits up, ignoring the dizziness she feels and sees Will on the floor in front of her, blood pooling underneath him.
"WILL!" She screams as she crawls towards him, his blood staining her clothes. When she reaches him, she can see that he got shot in the chest. She grabs his hand, tears already streaming down her face.
"Will, look at me." She whispers to him, she can see the blood spilling from his chest and onto his suit. Will obeys and looks at her in her eyes. His lips are moving, trying to say something to her but no sound leaves his mouth. But she knows him well enough to know what he wanted to say.
"Leesh, Leesh, love you, Leesh." Is what he's trying to say to her. More tears fall down her cheeks as she presses her lips to his own.
"I love you too, Will." Alicia replies as she tries to apply pressure to his wound but knowing it's futile: he's dying and he'll be dead before help arrives. So she simply kneels beside him, holds his hand and starts talking, trying to take both their minds off the fact that he's dying.
"I wanted everything with you: I wanted the wedding, I wanted the kids, I wanted the law firm, I wanted the fights, I wanted the makeup, I wanted the sex, I wanted the tears, I wanted the laughs, I wanted the love, I wanted the fear, I wanted the romance, I wanted the hate, I wanted to grow old together, I wanted the Happily Ever After, I wanted the fairy tale. I wanted everything and I wanted it all with you, Will. I wanted everything and nothing, and I'm so sorry we didn't get it." She says as the tears spill off her cheeks and land on him.
Suddenly, someone is helping her to her feet and pulling her away from Will. She starts struggling when the smell of Diane's perfume hits her. "Come on, Alicia, let's get you out of here." Her former boss says, leading her out of the courtroom, and away from Will.
"Will." She whimpers just as she sees him being wheeled out on a gurney. Cary has her in his arms. She turns in her partner's arms and screams into his chest.
The love of her life was shot and killed right in front of her because he saved her.
Alicia Gardner wakes up with a scream as she comes out of the nightmare. It's the third one this week and it's only Wednesday. Will is staring at her, his arms around her. "It's okay, Leesh, it's okay, we're okay." It's been 5 years since the Cook County Courthouse shooting, where he pushed her out of the bullets path and took one for himself and she's been having the nightmare where he didn't survive, as opposed to the reality where he did survive and they got married and adopted a little girl, Charlotte (Lottie to her family), a year after their wedding.
"Mama, are you okay?" Lottie asks as she enters her parents bedroom. She woke up to her mama screaming for her daddy and got out of bed to check on her mama. The four year old little girl rushes to her mama's side of the bed and is lifted onto her mothers lap. "Yeah, baby girl, mama just had a bad dream." Lottie pouts sadly. She hates it when her mama gets bad dreams. She just snuggles into her mama's breast as her hair is stroked by her daddy who is also awake.
"Okay, I think we all need to get some sleep. Zach and Gracie are coming in the morning." Daddy says, Lottie cheers quietly: she loves it when her big brother and sister come home from school. They always bring her back toys and candy and they stay up late watching Disney movies when Mommy and daddy are sleeping. She rolls off her mama's lap and lays in between her parents, looking at her mama, she places her little hand on her mama's cheek and smiles when her mama smiles and kisses her forehead.
"Sleep, Mama, me and daddy will keep you safe from bad dreams, just like you keep us safe." Her mama isn't the only one who gets bad dreams: sometimes daddy wakes up crying, and she has dreams of monsters under her bed. But mama always comforts and protects her and daddy, so she and daddy will protect mama from her bad dreams.
Daddy puts an arm around her and mama and he and mama join hands above her head as daddy says the words that are the most important words to say everyday.
"We love you, Miss Charlotte." Daddy says with a kiss to her cheek, she giggles as she falls asleep in between her mama and daddy, her two protectors.
A\N: This is another long Willicia oneshot. Oneshot three will be short and hopefully will be out by tomorrow morning if not tonight. Enjoy. Angel.
