Meeting The Future With A Start
Not too long ago, well, actually a few minutes ago, Cadance had met a certain pony.
Actually, she had met two ponies, and/or four. Well, she had actually met two ponies, brother and sister, but she hasn't met their parents yet.
Later, after dinner, Cadance walked up to Princess Celestia. "So," Princess Celestia said, "How was today, Cadance?" Cadance was content for a moment, which puzzled Celestia. "Today was interesting," Cadance answered happily a minute later. "How so?" Princess Celestia asked, still puzzled.
"Well," Cadance said in response, "Well, it was ordinary at first, but then, I met some ponies." "Oh," Princess Celestia replied, "That's nice of you."
"Yes, and I would like to meet these ponies," Cadance continued on, "I tried to meet them today, but I couldn't do it properly as they had to leave."
"I understand," Princess Celestia said with sympathy, "And don't worry. You will meet them." "I hope so," Cadance said. "You will," Princess Celestia said again.
And she comforted Cadance with her huge wings. "All right," Cadance replied, "I will talk to them tomorrow!" "Yes," Princess Celestia said in response.
Some time later, after Celestia's usual duties, Cadance happily went to sleep.
The next day, the two ponies were out again in the park like yesterday. Immediately, Cadance wanted to meet the two ponies and Princess Celestia smiled. "All right," Cadance said excitedly, "Now I'll meet these ponies!" "You will," Princess Celestia said Cadance.
Time passed slowly that day and the two ponies hadn't shown up yet. "This is unique," Cadance said. "They'll come," Princess Celestia said.
And soon enough, the unicorn family had come. "Them!" Cadance said excitedly. "All right," Princess Celestia replied, "Go right on ahead." And so, Cadance walked to the two young ponies. "Hello," Cadance said to the two little ponies. "Oh, hi there," one of the unicorns replied, "I saw you yesterday."
"Well," Cadance said nervously, "This is one interesting seconds meeting." "Go ahead," Princess Celestia told Cadance, "You can do it." And Cadance had the confidence to do so.
