After a long morning Crystal pulled up to a good parking spot in front of the apartment she hasn't seen in a long time. She got out heading inside smiling at the mailman just passing by going upstairs. Looking around seeing nothing has changed once she reached the right floor. Crystal saw the door with the name Valiant and Valiant Private Detective printed on the glass. Twisting the knob she pushed it open seeing the apartment was somewhat clean walking inside finding bottles of alcohol laying around. Crystal let out a soft whistle on where eyes landed on the man behind his desk that she now stood in front of. "Havent seen this many bottles when i was Mexico City." Said Crystal. "Hey." Said Eddie pouring himself a shot. "Back at ya. Heard about Roger." Said Crystal taking the glass from him. "Not my problem." Said Eddie as Crystal drank. "Im not letting you give up on toons that need you. We used to be partners before that day. Plus, we both know damn well I'm not going anywhere until you do something." Said Crystal sitting on his desk. "I hate you." Said Eddie taking the glass from her. "Is this how you greet a longtime friend?" Said Crystal watching him to the kitchen. "Here for a case?" Said Eddie. "No. I don't have any cases. I got home sick and want there for my friends." Said Crystal getting up dusting her pants. "There's nothing for you here. I'm fine." Said Eddie washing his socks in the sink. Crystal shook her head as the phone rang as she answered it before Eddie could. "Valiant Line." Said Crystal as Eddie snatched the phone from her hand glaring at her. "Sorry about that. Yeah, Cortez is here. Alright we'll be there." Said Eddie hanging up. "Maroon wants to see us." He says grabbing his coat from his chair. "I'll follow you after all I saw enough bottles to know you can still drive being drunk." Said Crystal walking out of his apartment with him. "Shut up." Said Eddie walking to his car where Crystal in front of. He got in his car driving off with Crystal following close behind to Maroon Studios. They both found different parking spots as Crystal stepped out the Big bad wolf who was rehearing across the street saw her and whistles loudly. She rolled her eyes seeing this and went her way to the studio to catch up with Eddie.
"Hey gorgeous. Where ya going?" Said Big Bad Wolf going after her until he ran into clear glass that the movers were bringing in shatter. Crystal walked with Eddie to the studio where Roger Rabbit and Baby Herman were doing a scene. She watched them do the entire thing until Roger was having hard on his refrigerator scene making them redo it again. "Everyone take five." Said the director walking away. "No. No. Please. Give me a chance. I can do it one more time." Said a rabbit that everybody knew by the name Roger Rabbit. He was on his knees begging for the director for another shot. "We already dropped the refrigerator on you twenty-three times." Said the director and walked away again. Roger kept on begging by grabbing a pan to bash his head on to make birds but only stars appeared as he followed the director. "Toons." Said Valiant. "Dont make me punch you." Said Crystal crossing her arms. "Youre an exception since we're friends. Come on." Said Eddie after taking a drink from his flask. "Why am I not surprised?" Said Crystal as someone cleared their throat behind her. She turned to see Red giving her hug while Eddie just left to Maroons office. "I talked to Betty, and we have a reservation for us but Jessica won't join us." Said Red. "Understandable since she's working." Said Crystal. "I have so much to tell you and the girls." She says. "Can't wait to hear but what was going on with you the weasels?" Said Red. "Bongo told you." Said Crystal. "No. But Lena heard screaming after shopping for new clothes." Said Red. "Their fault for almost hitting my car and got pissed that I beeped at them. Then attempt to break into my car and apartment after I rejected Greasy." Said Crystal. "Good luck getting rid of him and his brothers." Said Red. "I got a taser gun custom built and other surprises." Said Crystal. "Wanna continue using that paw? Get it off my ass!" She says looking over her shoulder seeing Wolfy cupping her butt. "Fine. By the way you might want see your windshield." Said Wolfy. Crystal looked at him walking away and went outside passing through the toons. She then saw Greasy on the hood of her car holding a rose and looked around walking over to him. "Hola mi corazón." Said Greasy. "Get your stank ass off my fucking car." Said Crystal. "Ah. I love it when you get heated. Do you not like the new cologne?" Said Greasy sliding off her car to get close.
"You smell like the inside of a donkeys ass that poured the entire bottle of very bad cheap cologne." Said Crystal stepping back covering her nose. 'Im gonna kill you bastards!' Said Greasy hearing them laughing a block away. Crystal ran to the passenger seat hitting a button for a hammer to hit him towards where his brothers are. She then slide in driving to her old friend Dolores pulling in to her spot. Walking inside seeing a woman handing out the menu to a table looking up to see her. "Cortez. Your usual." Said the woman. "Yeah. And you would not believe the shit Im going through when I just got back." Said Crystal having a seat for the men to surround her. "Back off or someone is getting their ass kicked." She says as they choose to ignore her. "She's not kidding or get sprayed by bear spray." Said Dolores walking behind the counter to pour a cup of coffee with hazel creamer. "Eddie stop by." Said Crystal then heard him come in. "Nevermind. What did he want?" She asked looking at him. "Dolores still got the camera. Mine is still at the shop. He wants juicy scoops from you on any toons you worked with." Said Eddie looking at her. "I'm not give out any Chisme for no one unless it deserves to be let out." Said Crystal. "So what the case Valiant? Bo Peep Lost her sheep." Said the man wrapping his arm around Eddie. "Back off." Said Crystal getting his attention. "If I get a little action outta you. When was the last time you had a good f-" Eddie kicked his legs down make get down on his knees grabbing his face. "Let's make this clear. Don't ever talk to her like that and I don't work with Toons!" He says shoving the hard boiled egg into the guys mouth before he stormed out with the camera. Crystal held her hot coffee taking a drink as Dolores and the guy watch him leave. "What's his problem?" Said The guy with his mouth full. "A Toon killed his brother." Said Crystal making the place dead quiet. "Had a piano dropped on his head." Said Dolores. Crystal walked around in front of the guy looking at her before she took his hat off to pouring the coffee on him and left after handing Dolores the empty mug. "See ya around." Said Crystal going to her place. She walked in seeing no sign of the Toon Patrol and made a call with Betty about the reservation.
