Later that night, after finishing dinner, Archie took on the task of cleaning the dishes as instructed by Veronica. She made her way to their bedroom, eager to share the latest developments with her best friends. She opened her laptop and set up a Zoom call with Betty Cooper, Cheryl Blossom, Toni Topaz, Emily Cooper, and Olivia Baker. As the familiar faces appeared on the screen, Veronica took a deep breath and began to recount the events at the Lodge mansion.

"Hey, everyone," Veronica greeted them, her voice a mix of exhaustion and determination. "I have to tell you what happened today at my parents' house."

The girls leaned in closer, their curiosity piqued.

"Spill it, V," Cheryl urged, her eyes gleaming with interest.

Veronica took a deep breath and launched into the story. "So, we went to the Lodge mansion because my dad called and said they wanted to make up for canceling our wedding. But when we got there, it was a setup. They had my mom, Mary, Frank, and all these family members there. They forced Archie and me to kneel down and apologize in front of everyone."

Betty's eyes widened in shock. "What? That's insane!"

Emily shook her head, her expression one of disbelief. "I can't believe they did that to you. That's so humiliating!"

Veronica nodded. "It was awful. But we stood up for ourselves. We told them that we're still going ahead with the wedding. We're not letting them ruin this for us."

Olivia smiled proudly. "Good for you, Veronica. That takes a lot of courage."

Veronica felt a wave of gratitude wash over her. "Thanks, Liv. It was hard, but it had to be done."

Cheryl leaned forward, her eyes sparkling. "So, what's the plan now? The wedding is back on, right?"

Veronica grinned. "Absolutely. The wedding is back on, and we need to make sure everyone knows it. We have to omit whoever heard that it was canceled."

The girls cheered in unison, their excitement palpable. Emily clapped her hands together. "That's fantastic news, V! I'm so happy for you!"

Veronica felt a surge of confidence. "Thank you, Em. And there's one more thing. If my parents show up at the wedding, I'm calling the French popo to arrest them."

Toni laughed. "You're not messing around, are you?"

Veronica shook her head. "Nope. This is our day, and no one is going to take it away from us."

Betty nodded in agreement. "We're with you all the way, V. Just tell us what you need."

Veronica smiled, feeling the support of her friends bolster her spirits. "Thanks, guys. I'll keep you all posted on the details. I just wanted to make sure you all knew that the wedding is back on."

After exchanging a few more words of encouragement, Veronica ended the Zoom call and headed back to the kitchen. She found Archie finishing up the dishes, his hands moving methodically under the warm water.

"Hey, how did the call go?" Archie asked, glancing over his shoulder.

Veronica wrapped her arms around him from behind, resting her head against his back. "It went well. The girls are all on board. They're excited, and we're going to make sure everyone knows the wedding is back on."

Archie turned around, pulling her into a gentle embrace. "I'm glad to hear that. We're going to make this wedding happen, no matter what."

Veronica looked up at him, her eyes shining with determination. "Yes, we are. This is our wedding, and we're going to celebrate our love the way we want to."

As they stood there in the kitchen, holding each other close, Veronica felt a sense of peace settle over her. Despite the challenges and obstacles, she knew they would face them together. Their love was strong enough to overcome anything, and nothing would stand in the way of their happiness.
