The past few days everyone in class was getting excited for the field trip to the factory today. Valerie got dressed and left her room before she missed her ride from Aunt Ross. "Alright you know the drill if any-" "thing happens call you/me or your/my mom." Said Valerie saying it with Ross. "That's my girl. Now remember don't cross the yellow line but if your dad or uncle frank gives you permission then it's fine by me. See you soon." Said Ross before driving off to work. Valerie walked to her classroom and saw Mike talking about the methods of scaring a child and about something else she didn't understand. "Hey Mikey. Are ready for the trip?" Said Valerie taking a seat across from Mike. "You know it. I've been practicing my roar to impress the scarers I'm so excited to meet them." Said mike. "Yeah right Wazowski as if they'll be impressed by that even Valerie and her dad are better than you." Said a purple monster with bat wings, black curly hair, and an eye. "Knock it off Leah. Mike is going to make a difference someday you'll see." Said Valerie making Leah scoff in disbelief. "Thanks, Varletoe I owe you one." Said mike. "I just don't like people who are mean to my friends especially my best friend." Said Valerie lightly punching him on the arm.
"Ok class leave your things on the bus by the time we reach the factory. Now line up and follow me to the bus." Said Ms. Graves leading the students outside. Everyone go on and Valerie took a seat close to the window and Mike sat next to her. "Ok class stay close to your buddy as we make it to the trip. Now stay in your seat and don't make catch you miss behaving. Ok Harold we're ready." Said Ms. Graves taking a seat behind the bus driver who was driving towards the street. The kids started talking about the scarers who work at Monsters incorporated and Fear Co. While Valerie was drawing, and Mike was looking at the window then noticed Valerie's drawing. "Your have a great talent. You got there Valerie." He said admiring the details of how she drew the monster skull surrounded by flowers and spider coming out of the eye socket including the centipede wrapping itself around the three horns. "Thanks Mikey. That means a lot." Said Valerie. After a while she finished her drawing and the bus stopped then the students stood on their seats looking at the factory.
"Alright class get out off the bus and stay close so i can check that everyone is here." said Ms. Graves as the students walked out and stayed near the bus. Valerie got off but she didn't see mike behind her. "Alright who are we . . . Mike." said Ms. graves as she told Harold opened the doors for mike to step out. "Sorry about that mike. Now everyone get buddy to partner with." said Ms. graves as the kids choose their friends. "Valerie, you want to be my buddy." said a voice. Valerie turned to see a cat girl with four eyes and a stripe of a skunk with angel wings matching the color of her fur. (A/N: imagine her being Stella from over the hedge.) "Yeah sure." said Valerie as the girls linked their arms and saw Mike with Ms. Graves. "Now come on before we miss the Scaring acting waiting to happen." said Ms. Graves as the students rushed inside. The students group together waited for Ms. Graves and mike. "I'm Valerie what's yours." Said Valerie facing her buddy partner. "I'm Haley Knighter. I just transferred three days ago." Said the girl flicking her cat ears a little. "Ok who's ready to see some scaring. Hey good to see you again Valerie." Said the light green monster wearing a blue helmet with the factory logo. "Thanks George. It's nice to see you too." Said Valerie giggling after George ruffled her hair a little. Ms. Graves let go of mike so he can join Valerie and Haley as tey head to the scare floor. George told the kids to stop where the yellow line giving a warning to them about toxic children.
"Now lets see some scaring let me hear your Roar." Said George. Then all the students started making roaring noise even mike was tried and the class looked past him staring at the scarers. "Hey uncle Frank." Said Valerie. Frank saw her and picked her up. "How's it going kids you ready to learn from the best I know everything from Monsters University. Anyways I better get to work." He said putting her down to the group. The class got so fascinated by the scarers work that mike went to frank to get a better view. "Ms. Graves mike crossed the line." Said random monster. Then everyone saw mike enter the door with Frank and started panicking mostly Valerie who started whimpering like a wolf. "Valerie it's going to be ok. Mike knows what's he's doing. Valerie?" Said Haley after noticing her ears are flat on her head, curled up tail, and wolf whimpering. After Earl closed the door he noticed the workers rushing to get the paramedics and saw Valerie reaction. "What's going on here?" He asked his co-worker. "A kid just entered the door with frank." Said the co-worker leaving to get Waternoose. Earl went to the group of kids and talked to Ms. Graves. "Of course, she just seems more terrified as the children." She says looking at her.
"Thank you. Valerie come here." Said Earl picking her up rubbing circles carefully on her back. Then frank came out then saw everyone staring at him in shock and horror. "What?" He said turned around to see mike behind him. "Hey i didnt see you there kid." He said then smiled taking his hat and laced on mile's head. Ms. Graves pushed everyone aside, "Micheal what do have to say for yourself." She said. "How do I become a scarer." Said mike smiling. "Everyone get back in the bus and Mike I'm calling your parents for this." Said Ms. Graves then faced both Earl and Valerie. "I'm so sorry for this Mr. Thompson about what happened I think it's best if she stays home for a bit until she calms down." She says taking the class back to the bus waving a goodbye to them.
