Why is she interested in the Pureblood directory? Although pretty popular and not rare at the time it was published because each sacred twenty eight family got its own copy, nowadays there were only 5 copies in Britain and they belong to the Notts, Malfoys, Shafiqs, Parkinsons and Lestranges. Well, since the Lestranges are residing in Azkaban, I guess mother has access and rightful ownership to 2 copies of the available ones.

I've read it before, it's a delicate book and quite heavy even with a lightweight charm already imbued to it, owls cannot carry it, magic cannot be used to turn pages, levitate or Gemino it. Bugger, I'll have to ask mother to bring it to me on next Hogsmead weekend.

I found a witch I want to court. She's not aware of my intentions yet. She's really good at Transfiguration and offered to tutor me in the subject. I want to impress her by showing the Malfoy and Black lineage. Could you bring me one copy of the Pureblood Directory on next Hogsmead weekend?

Hermione POV

Finally it's Wednesday. It's the best day of the week for me. Luna, Blaise and I have a common free slot after lunch, so we usually sit in an alcove inside the library and talk.

"How many detentions have you got so far this week?" For some obscure reason, Luna is keeping track of its amount.

"Hmpf, Friday and Saturday. How Professor Flitwick can cast a detention on a Hogsmead Saturday is beyond my understanding."

"Have you ever gone to Hogsmead ?"

"Sadly no, the year is not over yet so there is hope. But enough of detentions, are you guys up to skinny dip in the Black Lake on Sunday dawn?"

"Why on Sunday dawn?"

"Oh my, Hermione, no issues on the skinny-dip bit? I've never tagged you as an exhibitionist!"

"She just doesn't think it's wise to swim at the dawn of a full moon, Blaise."

"That's right, it's flirting with danger."

"What is so special about swimming at the dawn of a full moon? My mother says unless we brew or consume something from a love potion it doesn't affect us directly."

"Because of the werewolf, Blaise. Let's swim on the next Sunday instead. What do you say?"

"WEREWOLF?!"

"Shh, Madam Pince is going to throw you out of the library if you shout." I love Luna, she's so sensible at times. I have no idea how she knows about Professor Lupin being a werewolf, but she's Luna. She knows things just by knowing it. "Of course, the werewolf. We should postpone swimming unless you want to become one too. Did you know they can't talk but can communicate with animagus while transformed?"

"But I think he has Wolfsbane, Luna. I smelled aconite near the Potions' Lab, he wouldn't turn us."

"How can you witches be so calm about a Werewolf at Hogwarts?" Uh-oh, Blaise is so pale he may faint.

"Look Blaise, I know it sounds frightening but think along with me: the werewolf taking wolfsbane is less problematic than the serial murder lurking around." Luna looks lost in thought so I'll have to calm Blaise down by myself.

"I have to tell my mother, my third stepfather was on the board of directors, he legally adopted me although I kept my father's surname, Mum is holding the position for me until I'm of age and, and… and it's my duty to alert the board because it's dangerous for us to have a wer-"

"Is that why you get so many detentions and do not get expelled?" I'm gobsmacked, Blaise is going to be on Board one day and be able to influence so many decisions. I'm so glad one of the Directors will be Blaise, he has his heart in a good place.

"One of privileges is that I can only be expelled in two scenarios: when judged as guilt for murder or if use an unforgivable and there is at least a witness testifying under veritaserum. But none of it will happen if the werewolf kills me first"

"We can avoid this easily. Let's swim the week after, so we are safe from the werewolf and also the wrackspurts. This werewolf is rather docile when in human form, he'll not attack us unless he's transformed"

"If you say so… you know I trust you, if I die you are the one telling my mother."

"No reason for further glooming time, next class starts in 10 minutes. We should be going."
