Ryugen: I'm glad you liked it. And you're right, this power can become stronger. It is their ultimate form after all. Yeah, a lot of shit happened between Odin and Loki, and Ventara. They both wanted the power.

Lord Ri The Husbu King: Yeah, I like writing them too. I can go as crazy as I want. Don't worry about it. The Shem-Ha fight was straight from the anime except for a few different dialogues. I only add anime scenes because someone told me it would be nice. I think it was you back in GX. I think rivals are okay for them. Nothing as chummy as Hibiki and Miku. But a relationship of respect and wanting to surpass the other. They are the two strongest of their group and have to rely on one another. They started off hating each other. But are not brothers in arms on the battlefield.

Akira: I'm glad you enjoyed it. I try to convey a lot of emotions in every chapter, especially the big fights. To be honest, I did base Ryuki's attack on Goku. The dragon fist. I get a lot of inspiration from Dragon Ball Z and other anime.

Tenzalucard123: After so much effort, they can finally use the power to the fullest. Hazuki is in for a big surprise when he sees them again. Bragi and Hajime...best friends? Maybe.

Chapter 140
Independence For Humanity

Garie leaped around, going over to the camp SONG had set up after abandoning the submarine. She had been given a communicator, and after waiting for everything to stop shaking so much due to the intense battles going on, she finally managed to take Elfnein to the camp.

"Garie-kun." Genjuro stood up from his chair."How is she?"

"She's unconscious. But otherwise unharmed."

"And you?" Sakuya flinched."I mean, your arm..."

"Oh, this? I'll be fine." She giggled."I don't really feel pain. Plus, I can just get another arm."

"Sit down, Mama. You look tired." Tobias grabbed her a chair as Genjuro took Elfnein from her arm.

"Aw, thanks, sweetie." Garie ruffled his hair playfully. She froze upon hearing a vague thud from outside."What was that?"

"What was what?"

Garie marched outside, glancing around and noticing two figures on the ground. It was Elsa and Mona. Garie rushed to check on them, checking their vitals. She sighed in relief upon feeling a pulse from both of them.'Just knocked out.'

She then noticed a note Elsa was holding and took it from her hands and read aloud."For their own sake, I can't stay with them. I hid Strike in a safe location, away from him. Here's the address."

"Mama? What's going on?" Tobias emerged from within the camp.

"Call the Commander! We have a situation!"

"Yeah...It's settled." Knight said over his communicator."And you?"

"We're done too. Well, we stopped Shem-Ha. And Kohinata has returned to normal. She's unconscious, though." Tsubasa responded back."Apparently, Ouja brought Elsa and Mona to the camp they set up. No signs of him, though."

"Glad to hear that." Knight heaved a long sigh."We can talk about Albedo later. For now...let's just take it easy for a little bit."

"You sound relieved. Almost at peace."

"It's been a hectic few weeks. Just...glad we finally see the end of it."

"Though it's still not over. The Yggdrasil is still active. We're going to go stop it. Are you guys coming?"

"In a minute." Knight glanced over his shoulder, staring at his friends as they surrounded Angelo, who was lying on the ground."There is...something we have to do."

Bragi knelt beside Angelo, whose hair had turned white and skin extremely pale, checking over him.

"Is he...alright?" Hamaguchi carefully asked.

"The Relic was infused with him. When we destroyed it...we pretty much sealed his fate." The monochrome-haired teen said somberly.

"Shit..." Raiden ran a hand through his head.

"Heheheh...What are you...so stressed about?" Angelo wheezed, slowly opening his eyes."We're...enemies. You shouldn't feel bad...for someone like me. In the end, the monsters lost...and the heroes won. Heroes don't cry for monsters..."

"You still going on with this, man?" Hajime squatted next to him.

"With what...?"

"It doesn't matter what you look like." Hajime placed a hand on his own chest."What matters is right here."

"That's the most cliche shit I've heard in my life."

"Well, what? Do you judge people based on how pretty they look or something?" Hajime arched a brow."How well-dressed they are? How much money do they have? Influence? Well, let me tell you. Most of the people we've fought were not exactly ugly. And they can be the biggest assholes you ever meet."

"Adam was pretty cool with that hat he had." Hamaguchi perked up."The dude was rocking that suit. And Lilith...pretty hot."

"Bragard was pretty ugly though." Hajime grinned.

"Oh, fuck you." Bragi scoffed.

"What? I thought you hated him."

"It wouldn't be a problem if I didn't look like him." Bragi turned to Angelo."After all, that's what got me into this mess too. Looking like him...It's been giving me plenty of problems. But at one point, I almost became him. I was so engrossed with my pride...with my arrogance...I nearly went down the wrong path. Took me losing my head to realize I was wrong."

"But ever since then, he's changed. We argue here and there, but I trust him." Hajime nodded."I...lost my family. Right in front of me. At the hands of Bragard. So trust me when I say this. I understand how you feel. I do. I hated Bragi for a long time because I only saw his appearance. I didn't see who he was deep down. But he's not his Father. Nor is he his Mother. He's his own person. And whatever Carol or Bragard did does not concern him. If I managed to see him in the right light, why can't you?"

"But how? How did you do it? How did you...forgive him? Or how did you just...How do you ignore it all...?"

"It's not about ignoring or just forgetting. Or forgiving." Hajime shook his head."It's about moving on. We always have something to fight for. A motive. One that we decide. Not Bragard, Fudo, Shem-Ha, Satan, Or Lucifer. They can't decide for you. Only you can."

"You know...there was a time when I didn't mind... taking orders. Back in the Mafia. It was simple. And...I was loyal. As such, I received loyalty in return from my Boss. We weren't getting double-crossed. Not as many times as I have recently."

"Yeah, well, they're not exactly the best company." Hajime scratched his cheek."Fudo, Shem-Ha, and company."

"But..."

Both Angelo and Hajime concentrated on Bragi as he prepared to talk.

"You guys let your hate overtake you. You trusted the wrong people because you desired to belong somewhere. To return to being humans. And to that end, you were ready to do anything. And yet, along the way, you lost your humanity. Not because of how you look. But because of your actions. You ended up becoming the monsters you were trying to avoid becoming on your own."

"Yeah...Yeah..." Angelo covered his eyes with his arm."We were angry at the world. Angry for how we turned out. I guess...taking our anger out on others and playing to be victims just became normal to us. We didn't care what we did. After all, we were the ones who were wronged...but it was just a farce. We were running away from the monsters that we had become. We became worse than the ones who enslaved us...And justified our actions for our conformity, disregarding everyone else...We're horrible..."

"No, that's not true. You got a shitty hand."

"And so did most of you, right? That Hibiki girl...she went through the same thing Amy-chan did. And Elsa to that Chris girl."

"But we're all different." Bragi countered."Not one human is the same as the other. Circumstances were different. Hibiki got the help she needed, and Chris as well. In a way, we had more blessings than you. Maybe we could have traded places if things went a little wrong."

"It was bad. I can only imagine." Hajime offered a smile, one that he had seen Hibiki use before on other people. Her smiles often reached even their enemies' hearts, because they were sincere and full of understanding."But...you were never alone, were you? Even during the roughest of times, you still had people around you. Your sister, your friends, and your girlfriend. And maybe you weren't human 100%. But you didn't need the people's acceptance, Angelo. As long as we have the love and understanding of those we cherish, that should be enough. A home is where you can be yourself with those you love. And we're all connected..." He placed a hand on his chest."Right here. They never left you. I'm sure...even as you were struggling inside Lucifer, they were still reaching out for you. And they gave you the strength you needed to break free."

"They...helped me..." Angelo began to cry silently.

"Elsa is alive." Knight informed them as he approached them."Yukine beat Albedo on the moon. Your friends...they sacrificed themselves so Elsa wouldn't have to die."

"That's...good...At least one thing came out of this." Angelo chuckled weakly."She was...the sweetest girl. We tried so hard to keep her safe and out of danger. I knew I couldn't keep Reina from the stuff she did. She was too wild. But at least, I wanted to make the effort with Elsa."

"We'll look after her and that little girl."

"Thank you...That's...that makes me feel so much better."

"Are you scared?" Hamaguchi asked him, receiving a nudge on the ribs from Raiden."H-hey! It was a valid question!"

"Try to be more sensitive." Raiden hissed.

"It's fine." Angelo said."I'm not scared. Trust me. I've been close to death so many times before, it's pretty familiar to me. Just...it's the first time I'm heading to the other side. But I won't be alone when I get there. The others...are waiting for me."

"Then we won't let you alone here." Hajime sat on the floor, grabbing his hand and squeezing it.

"What are you...?"

"I know we were enemies. And we tried to kill each other. But most of that wasn't you. And you didn't want things to turn out this way. You just wanted to look after your friends. And for that...I won't let you go alone. I'll be here. Next to you. Until it's time to see goodbye."

Angelo shifted his gaze to Bragi, reaching for his hand, surprising the hybrid."Then...if you guys decide to take the first step...I'll take the second one. All this time...I've been loathing you because you look like your Father. I put all of my hate for him in you. Because...I wanted to let out my anger. I want to be able to be fulfilled by my desire for revenge. In the end, that's what cost me everything. So...I'm sorry."

"There is nothing to apologize to me for. I get it. You're not the first one." Bragi grinned."And I was a bit of an asshole back then."

"Just a little?" A mouth appeared on his cheek.

"Fuck off, Beelzebub."

Angelo chuckled, amused by their interaction."Funny. Satan was always moody and somber. But I always counted on him for everything."

"Guess he did care bout you in the end," Beelzebub said.

The former mafioso closed his eyes as his body began to break into particles."Thank you...all of you. For at least...helping me die as a human. And not...a...monster..."

"Yeah...Rest easy..Angelo Romano." Hajime closed his eyes, feeling Angelo's hand vanish from his grasp. Both Hajime and Bragi looked at one another, a silence of mutual understanding following between them.

"Shit..." Hamaguchi wiped the tears from his eyes."Hey...I know he was our enemy and all, but...is it okay if I feel bad for him? It's just..."

"It's fine." Yosuke placed a hand on his shoulder."In the end, he was a victim of bad circumstances. Nothing we can do about it now. We should get going and meet up with the girls to stop the Yggdrasil. Elfnein and Kohinata have been secured already."

"If you guys don't mind, I'd like to go check on Auntie Elfnein and Miku-san-"

"You wanna see your princes again? I get it." Hamaguchi waged his eyebrows."Go for it, man."

"B-but that's not-"

"Just go. We should be able to handle the rest." Yosuke chuckled, putting his helmet back on."Take a break."

"You don't wanna go to, Raiden?" Hamaguchi teased his brother-in-law."Go see your girl, man. Or...maybe Carol is the one in control right now."

"Hamaguchi, would it ever kill you to be quiet for more than a minute?" Raiden scowled, not having any of it, taking off into the sky."I'm going ahead!"

"What happened to the stoic Raiden?" Hamaguchi guffawed."He's such a tsundere now."

"Not everyone likes to be so open about their relationship." Ryuki began to fly."Or fondle their girlfriend right in front of others."

"Oh, please." Abyss rolled his eyes, following after Ryuki."Like you don't want to spank Hibiki-chan's ass whenever you see her."

"S-shut up!"

"Anyway. Whenever you're ready, come meet up with us." Knight told Alternative, trying to move the conversation along."We'll be in the main shaft. We need to figure out a way to destroy it. But something tells me it won't be as easy as we think."

"Right. I'll be right there." He nodded. With that, both Riders split up, going on their different paths

"Look at me..." Carol found herself floating in the depths of an ocean, drifting off."On my last legs, after trying to save the world I once tried to destroy. What a horrible joke Destiny is playing on me. But at least...that reckless boy will live."

"Carol!"

Carol gasped, feeling someone forcefully lift her up. It was Elfnein."Oh. You found me."

"Why?! Why did you only burn your memories?! We swore we'd do it together to get back our tomorrow!"

"Don't be foolish. Remember, I had burnt my memories a long time ago." Carol smirked, gently rubbing Elfnein's head."So don't concern yourself with paltry memories."

"So then...you sacrificed your soul? But why...?"

"The both of us don't need to die for something like this." Carol responded sharply."So...I did it on my own. That way, I won't disappear from your memories. And also...because one of us needs to stay behind and watch over Bragi. He's reckless, ignorant, quick to act, and thinks last. So he'll need someone to reign him in so he doesn't do anything stupid. But...he has the biggest heart there is. I was worried. Bragard gave him everything he needed to be like him. To harbor hatred and disdain for this world. He also has my genes, which only double his possibilities to become something else. And yet, you guided him. You loved him and instructed him to be good. And you were probably just as clueless as I was."

"Tomosato-san told me that a mother doesn't need to be taught how to be one. It comes from the heart." Eflnein said, tearing up."You told me to look after him, and that's what I did. I admit, I failed in some aspects. But I did what I could. I gave him what he needed. Love. I love him like he was my own son. Maybe I get that from you."

"Then you have surpassed me. Because I needed Garie to guide me on how to interact with him. But...It made me happy. Seeing how he turned out. You all helped him. And I'm grateful. At least, he can do better than I ever did. He won't make the same mistakes I did." Carol noticed her body beginning to disappear."This is goodbye, my other me. No..You're not just my copy. You're Elfnein."

"We won't ever forget you or your sacrifice. I swear." Elfnein cried as Carol rubbed her head to comfort her."I'll continue to look after Bragi. You can count on me."

"I know...Tell him I love him. Please. And to continue striving to explore this big world." Carol kissed Elfnein on her cheek before disappearing."He's my pride and joy. After all the failures I did. I can go in peace...knowing he's here."

Elfnein suddenly jolted awake, her eyes wide open."Carol..."

"Elfnein-chan."

Elfnein turned to see Miku, sitting in front of Aoi, drinking a cup of hot chocolate."Miku-san! You're okay!"

"I'm back." Miku managed a small as the blonde rushed to her, falling to her knees and hugging her."Hey, there. It's okay..."

"I'm sorry...Back then..."

"We should have done more." Tobias slowly made his way toward them."I could have done more...Because of me, you-"

"You all tried to save me. I could never be angry at you." Miki shook her head."Thank you all. At least you were both safe."

Suddenly, they heard a loud crash outside, causing them to yelp.

Miku's eyes widened upon seeing Alternative stumbled his way into the camp, deactivating his transformation, panting.

"Bragi-kun, are you okay?" Genjuro asked as Bragi raised a hand.

"Give me a minute...Fuck...Why am I so tired all of a sudden." Bragi wheezed for air, hands on his knees.

"Probably because we've been fighting since early this morning. With no fucking breaks." Beelzebub quipped."And the others healed up and regained their stamina from the forced fusion. Something neither of us went through. So we're pretty much at our limit."

"Oh, yeah." Bragi wiped the sweat off his forehead."You're right."

"Bragi-kun."

Bragi suddenly forgot to breathe. Hearing the angelic voice had missed so much. One that Shem-Ha and her influence had distorted. He slowly looked up, seeing Miku standing right in front of her, hands in front of her as she smiled at him.

"I'm home." She smiled sweetly.

"Miku-san..." Bragi blinked, rubbing his eyes, thinking he was imagining her."It's you...right?"

Miku reached for his hands, placing them on her face."Can you feel me? I'm very real."

Beelzebub opened his mouth, but Elfnein placed a hand against her lips.'Guess I should listen to Mama Elfnein."

"Miku-san...you're safe...You're back..." Bragi couldn't help but start to cry in joy. Miku started to cry out, gently wiping the tears from his eyes.

"Yes...I'm back. Thank you, Bragi-kun. I know how hard you were fighting for me." Miku wrapped her arms around his frame, resting her chin on his shoulder."Thank you so much...I was so happy when I saw you. Shem-Ha kept mocking me...saying how hopeless everything was. How no one would be able to come for me. But when I saw you...I was so overjoyed..."

"I'm so sorry, Miku-san..." Bragi hugged her tightly as they connected their foreheads together, crying."I should have protected you. If only I hadn't been distracted...If only I could have told you how I felt...It's been killing me this whole time. You didn't deserve this. So I continued fighting. It didn't matter how wounded I was...I just had you in my head. You pushed me forward...Because I wanted to tell you just how much I care about you."

"How do you feel?" She asked, her eyes gleaming with anticipation.

"I...I love you, Miku-san. I love you. I'm not experienced in love or romance...But I know that whenever I see you, my stomach feels funny. And my heart flutters. And I just want to see your smile all the time. And-"

Miku brought him in for a kiss, their lips connecting for the first time, earning several cheers from the group around them. Bragi blinked, not sure how to react. He did the first thing he thought of and hugged her tighter, mimicking her mouth movement and kissing her passionately. They held each other in their arms, their pain, their suffering, and their sadness...all disappearing thanks to their love being ignited for the first time. Once Miku was out of breath, she gently tapped Bragi's shoulder, causing him to panic and pull back.

"A-are you okay?! Did I hurt you? I'm so sorry, I-"

Miku silenced him by pecking him on the lips."Not all of us have a high lung capacity like you, silly."

"Oh. Right..."

The dark-haired girl giggled, pulling on his cheek, prompting him to blush."You have no idea how long I waited for this. I was so eager for you to give me the okay so I could kiss you. You took too long."

"S-sorry..." Bragi rubbed his nape sheepishly."But...Miku-san. I don't want to sound like a broken record. But...are you sure you're okay with me? I mean, someone like you...I'm sure you could find a better guy than me if you wanted to."

"7 billion people, 7 seas, 7 continents, and despite all that, the one I choose to love...is you." Miku blushed, pulling Bragi down and kissing him on his forehead."It hurts me so much when you belittle yourself. You deserve to be happy, just like everyone else. And I want to make you happy, just like how you made me happy before. Your words, your encouragement, your bravery, and your loyalty...all of that makes me feel like I can do anything I want. And I want you to feel like that. You've done so many great things. So stop thinking I could do better. It's not about that. It's about who I want to love. And the person I chose is you. I want to make you the happiest boy in the world. Do you want me to do that?"

"If I can make you the happiest girl, then we have a deal." It was Bragi's turn to steal a kiss from her, catching her off guard.

"Here I thought I was going to be the one to take the initiative." Miku giggled.

"Miku-san, I-"

"Miku is fine. Bragi."

"Miku then." Bragi corrected himself."You pulled me out of my darkness. You reached out to me and told me what I needed to hear. You saw me for who I was on the inside and welcomed me with open arms. Ever since that day at your apartment, I was moved by your words. I wanted to repay you. Make you feel like you made me feel. So when I fought S. Ryuki, I was thinking about you the whole time. It helped me pull through. Just like when I went to the Chateau to try and rescue you. Or when I was fighting Angelo and Satan. You protected Auntie and Tobias. You were so brave, even though you have no powers. There is something about your kindess...I feel like it often goes underappreciated. And I want to make you feel special. Like you did with me."

"I'm glad." Miku sniffed, embracing the boy.

"So...are we...? What's the word?"

"Boyfriend and girlfriend." Miku supplied.

"Oh. Okay. Sorry. I'm not that familiar with this..."

"It's okay. I'll guide you." Miku giggled as they brushed each other's noses."Thank you...I love you. I love you so much."

"And I love you too. So...should we get married?"

"H-HUH?!"

"I mean, I read online that that's what follows, right?" Bragi tilted his head, unaware of the weight of his words.

"You're going a little too fast there." Genjuro chuckled, shaking his head in disbelief. Miku was a blushing mess, her mouth opening a close like she was a fish on land.

"Seriously...You don't ask that out of nowhere." Elfnein sighed, shaking her head."That comes after a long time, Bragi-chan!"

"Oh! I see!" Bragi nodded in understanding."You know about marriage, Auntie?"

"Of course I do! That's why it's important to research matters that you do not understand fully."

"I'll have to look into that." Bragi chuckled sheepishly."My bad. So we can do it later, right?"

"Bragi, stop!" Miku punched him in the arm lightly, covering her face.

"Bragi-chan, I must ask you to step away from Miku-san." Elfnein pouted, hands to her hips."You're overwhelming her. And we're going to have a long conversation about what you did today! And also I need to talk to you about having a relationship."

"Not like she's much of an expert on that front," Sakuya muttered to Aoi, earning a giggle from her.

"Ok. We can talk later. I have to go help the others stop the Yggdrasil." Bragi said, making his way to the door but someone grabbed his hand."Miku?"

"I'll go with you. I won't let you go alone." Miku pulled out the pendant she had."I still can use the Shenshoujing. I want to use its power to do some good and try to fix this mess. I won't take no for an answer."

"I wasn't going to stop you." Bragi grinned, holding her hand."Then let's go together. Oh, that's right! Auntie, can I speak to Mama for a minute? I want to apologize to her for the stupid things I did earlier."

Elfnein gasped, covering her mouth. Garie placed a hand on her shoulder as did Tobias.

"What's wrong?" Bragi asked, confused.

"Let the old lady sleep, Bragigi." A mouth appeared on Bragi's cheek, startling Miku.

"Old lady?" Bragi repeated.

"Yeah, Mama Carol looks like a little girl and all, but isn't she like 500 years old or something." Beelzebub laughed."She's old as fuck. An old lady like her needs her beauty sleep after all."

'Does he know...?' Elfnein pondered before talking."Right. Carol is a little tired, so she can't talk to you right now."

"I see." Bragi smiled fondly."Mama did a lot today, after all. We wouldn't be here without her. So she deserves to have a nice rest. Anyway, we're off. We'll see you guys after this mess is cleaned up!"

"Bragi, you have another mouth on your cheek-"

"I'll explain later."

With that, Bragi and Miku transformed, taking off into the sky and heading for the Yggdrasil.

Elfnein fell to her knees, heartbroken."I lied to him..."

"It's for the best." Garie cooed, gently rubbing her back."We need him to be concentrated right now."

"You know...about Carol?"

"We can feel it. It's hard to explain." Tobias supplied."But...I'm sure she wanted you to keep looking after him, right? And we're here for you too. All of us."

"Thank you...I just hope I can live up to her expectations."

Meanwhile, the girls were hovering above the entrance to the Yggdrasil.

"Even after finishing our fights, we still have to worry about the Yggdrasil." Kirik frowned.

"But we're nearly there." Shirabe said, placing a supporting hand on her shoulder."All we have to do is give it one more push."

"If we shut down the core, then that should stop all of them." Tsubasa said."Follow me!"

All the girls descended into the main shaft of the Yggdrasil, however, an armada of drones appeared, blocking their path.

"There's too many." Maria gritted her teeth."And if these are as strong as the ones Shem-Ha summoned earlier..."

"Getting into a fight right now would not be good." Tsubasa surmised."We're running low on Phonic Gain. Every bit of it counts."

"Then let us help too!"

A beam of compressed fire tore throw several of the drones, as several psychic projectiles scattered around, covering a wide area.

Several wind slashes and water jetstreams swept through the area, causing a huge explosion.

"Hope we're not late for the party!" Abyss hollered as the Riders descended down.

"You guys!" Hibiki beamed."Where's Bragi-kun?"

"He had something to do." Raia simply said."He'll be joining us too."

"But we just got some bad news. Even if we destroy the core, one of the other Yggdrasil would just take over." Knight informed them, earning several gasps of shock."Meaning that even if we destroy this one, one of the others will just take over at random."

"And we won't know which one it is." Ryuki added."And since they're all over the world..."

"So it'll be like looking for a needle in a haystack." Chris clicked her tongue.

"We can't blast our way out of this one." Abyss groaned."Man, I'm just about fed up with this roller coaster of emotions. What do we do?"

"It's actually quite simple."

The group looked up and saw Alternative and Miku floating down towards them. But what caught their attention was their hands intertwined with each other.

"No way!" Hibiki squealed in joy."No way! Miku!"

"Alright! It's about fucking time!" Abyss whistled."See, I told you this guy was on his business!"

"I can't believe you were right..." Raia paled, not wanting to admit Hamaguchi was right all along.

"We can talk about it later." Alternative said, hiding his blush underneath his mask."Anyway, here's the deal. If we can take over the core, which we know is this one, then we can make all the others self-destruct at once. We'll use Phonic Gain and our Rider power, together."

"We came to a conclusion after Mama Elfnein gave us a rundown on what Mama Carol was thinking," Beelzebub said from one of the mouths in Alternative's armor.

"Why is a demon calling Carol 'mama'?" Chris whispered to Maria, who shrugged.

"The music that harmonizes with the world is itself the universal language." Beelzebub continued."With the power of 7 harmonies and the power of the Divine Beast, it's possible to overthrow any kind of universal law."

"That's Mama's solution for the mission Grandfather gave her. And the one she entrusted to me." Bragi clenched a fist."To know the world."

"Is that why she said that earlier? And how we were able to break through Shem-Ha's extra-rational physics?" Hibiki wondered."And since Miku is here, we still have 7 harmonies. But what about the Riders? Is 5 going to be enough?"

"4. Remember, I'm not a real Rider." Alternative jabbed his thumb toward Ryuki."But we have the Messiah. And Ventara's possible vessel. I'm sure that counts for something, right?"

"Vessel?"

"That's what Lucifer said. Whether you want to or not, that's another matter. The point is that you're our ace in the hole.

"I thought I was the ace in the hole." Miku pouted at her new boyfriend.

"W-well, we can have two aces!"

"You would be a terrible poker player." Raia quipped. The group reached the bottom of the Yggdrasil, staring at the core.

"Kind of looks like the one in the Lunar Ruins," Maria commented.

"Custodian technology, am I right?" Abyss shrugged nonchalantly."Pretty deep underground, huh? Balls deep."

"I'm going to sew your mouth shut at this rate." Raiden groaned."Can we just get this over with? What do we do?"

"We sing." Hibiki said, grabbing Ryuki's hand and then Miku's."The song of our hearts."

"I'm down. Gotta use my singing chops every now and then." Ryuki grinned with a nod."You any good at singing, Bragi?"

"Shouldn't be outside of the many talents I possess." The hybrid responded."Try to keep up, Hajime."

"Sheez, as humble as ever..."

"This will be the first time I ever sing with all of you." Miku reached out to Alternative's hand. The group formed a circle around the core, as they started to sing in unison.

As the 7 girls sang, the 4 Riders manifested energy versions of their evolved monsters as they circled the area. As the beasts enhanced the Phonic Gain output, the chamber was suddenly illuminated by a bright white light.

'Come to think of it...7 harmonies...Isn't it funny how a lot of things revolve around the number 7?' Beelzebub spoke in Bragi's mind.

'7 billion people, 7 seas, 7 continents...7 Symphogear. Huh. Lucky number 7. Maybe that was Fine's goal all along. Or I guess, Dr. Ryoko Sakurai, in this case.'

Ryuki began to emanate a white aura, as his Divine Power mixed with the Phonic Gain, giving the area a golden glow. Suddenly, something caught Bragi's eyes.'What...? Isn't that?'

Fine and Enki held hands together as they smiled at Hibiki, who smiled back. But it wasn't just them. Ryuki stared in shock upon seeing Chao-Xing, his uncle Huan, his Grandmother Kyoko, and Mother Kaoru in front of him. For the FIS quartet, Nastassja, Serena, Atticus, and surprisingly Dr. Ver were there to greet them.

'What's going on...? These people are all dead.' Bragi couldn't believe his eyes.'Some of them died recently...Shouldn't their souls be in the River of Souls?'

Kanade and Akira waved at Tsubasa and Knight, who were unable to contain their tears. Even Goro's father was there. Chris was bawling when she saw her parents once more, placing their hands on her shoulders to comfort her.

'Well...I guess you humans would say something like this: No person ever dies as long as we have them in our hearts. Maybe our combined power made this miracle possible. I guess the other defeated Riders aren't here because they were absorbed by the DDV.'

But it wasn't just their loved ones. St. Germain, Cagliostro, Prelati, and Raphael floated above them. The white-haired woman and the silver-haired knight smiled lovingly at each other, finally happy to be together.

Vanessa, Millaarc, Amy in her real body, and Reina were there too. And Angelo, who stood a little further from them, gave them a thankful smile. No doubt relieved to be set free after everything. All Autoscorers minus Garie waved back, as they were back in their human forms.

However, Alternative's attention was caught by two blondes who appeared in front of him. One of them he recognized as Izak, his biological grandfather. And the other one...

"Mama...? Why is Mama here...?"

"Bragigi..." Beelzebub muttered, forming a small dark hand and tapping his back."I'm sorry. She..."

Miku squeezed his hand, catching his attention. She smiled to calm him down. He took a deep breath, staring at Carol, who smiled at him full of pride. To his shock, a small version of himself appeared beside her. But this one had black hair and blue eyes.

"Thank you for everything...Mama. And you too, First." Bragi gave Carol one last look."I love you, Mama."

"I love you too." She mouthed back.

Beelzebub continued onserving in fascination.'Humans...I never imagined they could be this interesting. To think it was them who finally broke the chains away from the Divine...I have to hand it to them, they are tough. But they did it. With their own effort. They finally gained...total independence.'

With a final push, all energies were pushed into the control panel, and the power of the Messiah served as the catalyst to finally make it go out of control. Seven pillars converged on the panel, making it glow a blinding white light as the self-destruct sequence began.

"Alright! Let's skedaddle!" Ryuki cried out. They all nodded, taking off into the air. Their combined auras morphed, creating a white dragon that roared as it flew faster toward the surface. Once they exited, the trunk began to explode, leaving nothing behind. They all noticed the other roots exploding in unison as well.

The dragon landed on the ground, dissipating as everyone collapsed on the floor. All of their transformations vanished, finally able to take a well-earned rest.

"Fucking hell!" Hamaguchi screamed."We fucking did it! Let's fucking go!"

"You know...I don't think I could ever get used to the adrenaline of fighting for the sake of the world." Hajime chuckled.

"I thought you were all about adrenaline, Adachi." Tsubasa teased.

"Back then, sure. Now...Not really. I just wanna settle down and relax." Hajime laid on the ground next to Hibiki."So...Miku-san...Bragi...When did you guys...?"

"Is this really the time for that?" Bragi groaned, blushing when Miku held his hand.

"I think it's the best time, Junior." Chris grinned."Spill the beans."

"Just before coming here." Miku flushed slightly."We finally held hands together. After so long, we finally managed to say what we wanted to each other."

"Okay, but did you kiss?" Hamaguchi asked, addressing the elephant in the room.

"Why is that important to you?" Maria eyed him skeptically.

"Because! Gossip is good, Maria-san!" Hamaguchi grinned shamelessly."It keeps things moving. Plus, I have to know how far he's made it."

"Well...we did kiss. A few times. Even as we flew over here..." Miku admitted, making Hibiki gasp.

"Miku! I didn't know you were so bold!" She blushed, reminiscing of her time when she started dating Hajime."Just like us, Hajime!"

"Don't remind me." Yosuke groaned."There was not a time in the day when you guys wouldn't be kissing each other. Even during missions."

"Sounds like you're jealous." Raiden pointed out.

"It's not like that. At the time, Tsubasa and I couldn't be open about our relationship."

"And what about now?" Shirabe leaned forward, eager to know.

In response, Yosuke leaned closer to Tsubasa, kissing her on the lips."Does that answer your question?"

"Oh! He kissed her first-desu! How scandalous!"

"So now you're gonna announce your relationship to the public?" Maria asked.

"I don't think so." Yosuke frowned."You're an idol, Maria. But you're a part-time idol, so you didn't care if people knew you were dating Jades. For Tsubasa, it's different. She can't be in a relationship if she wants to-"

"It's fine. I'll stop being an idol."

"W-what?!" Yosuke gasped in shock."But that's your dream, Tsubasa! You can't just give that up! Not even for my sake! I don't mind if we keep dating in secret!"

"I'm tired of not being truthful to myself and keeping up all these lies. So it's fine."m Tsubasa said, eyeing him lovingly."Besides, my dream was to sing the song of my heart. I'll continue singing, of course. Just not exclusively as an idol. I don't want to hide you from the world. I love you so much to do that."

"Tsubasa...I love you too." Yosuke said, embracing her.

"Finally." Maria sighed."Now...I can't wait to get back. I'm so tired."

"You're telling me." Chris nodded."But finally...it's over."

"For now," Hajime mumbled, but it was audible enough for them to hear. It was true. It was over for now. But there was still one more threat ahead. For now, they would enjoy the tomorrow they earned.

A week went by after the battle for the world, and things were as normal as they could be. They just saved the world, and yet the war was not over. If anything, it was closer than ever. A month and a half to be exact.

The governments of each country held large conferences to discuss everything that had happened. Genjuro and Yatsuhiro were able to pull a few strings since they were given a higher role due to SONG being the ones to stop Shem-Ha and Lucifer. One of the things they did was give Elsa immunity. It was easy since as Angelo had said, they had kept Elsa away from anything bad they did. At the most, she could be charged with cooperating, but they were able to get that off of her. The condition was that she would have to stay in HQ for the time being.

There was no sign of Allister or Terunosuke. Genjuro and Yatsuhiro had opted to stay quiet regarding informing the other countries about Allister. Since Allister being linked to another world leader could cause a possible government collapse and break any possible peace treaties. But while the members of SONG traveled the world in trying to restore the damages done by the Yggdrasil roots, they were also looking for the two rogue Riders.

"How are you feeling?" Chris asked the pink-haired girls, holding a tray of food for them."Feeling comfortable?"

"Oh. Yes, thank you." Elsa nodded with a smile.

Strike got up from the floor, sniffing Chris' shoes.

"Hello to you too." Chris rolled her eyes.

"Leave her alone, Strike." Mona pouted, trying to pull the large dog away.

"It's fine. He's probably hungry too." Chris set the tray down, took a seat, and petted the dog.

"No news yet-de-arimasu?"

"Nothing yet." Chris sighed."He's an assassin. Or former assassin. Of course, he's hard to find."

"I see..." Elsa lowered her gaze."I still can't believe he just...left."

"He probably did it for your own good." Chris said."I mean, he betrayed the DDV. I don't think Hazuki and his freak cousins will take that too kindly. He probably did it to keep you out of danger. I know what that feels like."

"You...do?"

"Oh, yeah. I lost count of how many times Takeru has put me before himself. He always made me his priority. And kept me safe. I imagine that's what Allister is doing for you and Mona-chan."

Elsa couldn't help but cover her mouth, tears building up in her eyes."I'm sorry...I...I didn't mean for-"

"Don't apologize. I should be the one saying sorry." Chris sat next to Elsa on her bed, gently grabbing her hand."We're so alike, you and I. I tried to kill you. Because I was angry at Allister and wanted to take my anger out on you. But I was wrong. You both...are not that different from Takeru and me."

"It's fine. We attacked you first-de-arimasu." Elsa trailed off."I'm the only one left..."

"Maybe, but they wanted the best for you. All of them." Chris encouraged her."So we'll do our best to look after you and Mona-chan. We won't let you go through the pain alone."

Elsa shifted her gaze to Mona, who was busy enjoying the food Chris had brought them, then back to Chris."Thank you. It means a lot to me...receiving all this kindess. Despite being former enemies."

"Oh, trust me." Chris smirked."I know that feeling all too well."

"Replay the video," Raiden ordered, staring intently at the screen of their TV.

"Raiden, we've watched it over 3 times already. And once in slow motion." Maria sighed."It's enough."

"I just don't understand...Why would Jades...Why would he...?" Raiden's eyes were glued to the frozen image of Jades hugging Terunosuke as his body started to disintegrate.

"I understand how you feel, Raiden." Maria placed a hand on her brother's shoulder."You're not alone."

"No matter what, I will love you always." Shirabe recited, tears streaming down her cheeks."So Jades-onii-chan loved Teru-nii..."

"Right until the end." Kirika sniffed."I...I don't know if I want to kill Teru-nii anymore. It doesn't feel right-desu."

"I don't want to either. Jades-onii-chan went through so much trouble to reach his heart...He and Andreas believed in him." Shirabe said, grabbing a nearby tissue.

"But it doesn't make sense. He tried to kill us. He's a murderer." Raiden continued rambling, not able to wrap his head around the matter."I don't understand."

'Jades...' Maria thought of her lover. Suddenly, her phone started to ring. It was a call from Hibiki.

"Hello?" Maria answered, listening intently as Hibiki talked."HE WHAT?!"

"I still can't believe Terunosuke Kuwana saved your parents." Hajime lay on Hibiki's bed as she sat on the edge."That guy...Just when you think you have him figured out, he does a 180.

"Me neither. But my Dad said that ice came out of the ground. And a man with dark hair stood next to them, not reacting to the ice. As if it was normal. There were sightings of the Gazelles trying to help people in need.

"So he used his brothers' powers for good. That's...surprising, to say the least." Hajime hummed."I can only imagine what's going through Maria-san and the others' minds."

"It's a lot to take in, I imagine. But...I'm sure they'll find the peace they're looking for."

Hajime scooted over, playfully pulling Hibiki back against him as she giggled.

"Hajime!" She giggled, nuzzling against him."I missed this."

"Yeah...It feels great to have some peace." Hajime brought her closer to him, wrapping an arm around her frame."I kinda want to stay like this forever. But..."

"I know, Sunny." Hibiki gently kissed him on the lips."We'll get Setsuna-chan back. One way or another. I promise."

"I can't believe we couldn't find anything in that penthouse." Hajime sighed."Allister was right. They were living there. But Hazuki must have known we would find out where he was and took everything. I haven't seen her in so long...I'm worried."

"We'll save her. She's a brave girl." Hibiki held Hajime close to her."And like you said, Hazuki-kun needs her alive. There's no way he would harm her."

"Maybe...But...I have to get her back, Sunshine. She's the only family I have left...She's my sister...What would I tell my Mom and Grandma when I see them on the other side?"

"You'll tell them that you rescued her." Hibiki rested her head against his chest."Everything will be fine. That's why we're training. So we can take down the DDV once and for all."

"Yeah...You're right. Thanks, Hibiki." Hajime kissed her forehead."You always make me feel better."

"Just returning the favor." She giggled.

"Oh, yeah?" Hajime smirked, putting his hand under her shirt, causing her to squirm.

"T-that tickles, Hajime!"

"We have some time." Hajime whispered, kissing her neck."The others shouldn't be back until-"

Suddenly, the door opened, revealing Miku, who was carrying a black stuffed bunny with a red suit and Bragi. Miku noticed Hajime was undressing Hibiki and immediately groaned."Seriously?! I told you! Not where I sleep!"

"W-we weren't doing anything!" Both of them yelled.

"Yeah, yeah. That's what they all say. Hahaha." Beelzebub laughed at their expense. Beelzebub had decided to stick around with SONG. He realized that if Ragnarok went off, he would be affected as well. So he had to help. Plus, Earth was a nice place. Not to mention he loved being pampered by Miku. He felt weird being treated like a mascot, but he couldn't deny he loved being treated this good."Keep it in your pants, kid."

"It was just hot! That's all!" Hibiki stammered, covering herself.

"Yeah, well." Miku rolled her eyes."We got some groceries. I want to make something good today."

"Really? What?" Hibiki asked, excited, already forgetting about her little incident.

"Curry!" Beelzebub cheered.

"It's supposed to be a surprise!" Miku hissed, pulling on the plushies' cheeks.

"S-sorry! I'm sorry, Mikumi! But human cuisine is not something I can't be excited about!"

"How does he even eat again?" Hajime tilted his head.

"He takes over for a bit." Bragi briefly said, holding onto the bags."You gonna help us cook this time, right, Boy Wonder? Or you gonna sit by like you're some kind of spectator?"

"I don't know." Hajime shrugged."You look pretty docile. I don't mind if you cook for me again, hellspawn."

"For the record, the prince is the one that people cook for, Adachi." Bragi gritted his teeth, taking a step forward.

"Then pay for your own damn chef or something, you spoiled prince." Hajime countered as their foreheads clashed, trying to push each other away.

"You piss me off!"

"No, you're the one who pisses me off!"

"Enough!"

Both Miku and Hibiki pulled on their cheeks, forcing them apart.

"Seriously, can't you guys ever get alone?" Miku huffed."And here I thought you had finally found a common ground."

"They're too stubborn Miku." Hibiki adopted a sly smile."Why don't we have them do all the work? While we sit back and relax?"

"Sounds wonderful." Miku agreed."Now, boys, you need to get along and cook us something nice okay?"

"T-this is so unfair..." Hajime muttered."I don't even know how to cook."

Bragi offered no complaint, but his expression was more than a little annoyed.

"But you know..." Bragi said to Hajime as they began walking behind the girls over to the kitchen."If it's the two of us together, there should be nothing we can't do, right?"

Hajime blinked, puzzled before he grinned."Hell yeah, man. We're the dream team."

The amber-eyed boy held out a fist in front of Bragi.

The hybrid smiled, giving him a fist bump as they chuckled. Unbeknownst to them, the girls smiled in delight, watching from in front of them as they were being friendly to each other. A good start as any.

Several weeks later, and 3 weeks before Ragnarok, SONG went to the cemetery, to pay respects to all the people that fell in combat. Yatsuhiro had made it his duty to make sure the children who were killed during the Lydian attack could rest in nice graves and that, not one cent came from the heartbroken families. He also started working towards reconstructing Lydian once more.

Maria stood in front of Jades and Andreas' graves, praying in silence. Kirika and Shirabe observed from behind her, while Raiden looked at the sky with a melancholic expression.

"Thanks for making sure our brothers could rest with one another, Kazanari-san," Raiden said to the now-new head of the Kazanari family.

"Of course." Yatsuhiro nodded."It's the least I can do for the brave warriors who fought for the sake of the world."

"Ah, since you're feeling generous..." Hamaguchi adopted a shit-eating-grin."Could you please-"

"For the last time, I will not have schools reduce the amount of homework they give out, Kuroiwa-kun." The man sighed.

"Instead of slacking off, you should keep up with your studies, Kuroiwa." Tsubasa chided him as she and Yosuke approached the group."We paid our respects to Jo-san, Father."

"Good. I have no doubts he's resting with his son in peace." He nodded.

"He is." Genjuro affirmed, placing a hand on his brother's shoulder."And now, it's our turn to take back our peace. Just a few more weeks before Ragnarok happens."

"And we're ready." Hibiki raised a fist in the air.

"We won't let the DDV take away what we fought for," Chris smirked.

"I'll help you in any way I can." Elsa smiled."For the kindness you've shown to us."

"We can't let those baddies get their way, right?" Garie winked.

"We'll stop Loki...no matter what." Tobias chimed in.

"For the future," Shirabe said.

"And for those whose futures were robbed." Raiden grimaced.

"Gotta say though, these training regiments are hell." Hamaguchi sighed and rubbed his arm.

"Stop being a big baby." Kirika poked his cheek.

"It's for the best. With these attacks going on, we have to be ready for anything." Maria said.

"It's almost over. We just need to give one last push..." Yosuke started.

"So that one day we can look back on this as nothing more than a nightmare." Tsubasa finished.

"Heheheh. I love these vibes. You guys are all pretty optimistic, huh?" Beelzebub chuckled.

"Yeah, well, we're not going to be depressed about it, dummy," Bragi muttered.

"But we can't lose hope." Miku smiled, grabbing Bragi's hand."Right, Elfnein-chan?"

"Of course not!" She beamed."We have to protect this beautiful world!"

"We'll help you guys in any way we can." Aoi and Sakuya joined in.

"Yup. We wouldn't miss it for the world." Sakuya smiled.

"I'll also provide all the assistance that I can," Ogawa added.

"Glad to have so much help." Hajime placed his hand on his hips."Let's show them what humanity can do when they work together-"

Suddenly the sound of a distant explosion went off, alerting the whole group. Several more explosions could be heard in the distance and smoke clouds rose to the sky.

"W-what's happening?!" Chris was about to pull out her pendant when several jets flew by the city.

Yatsuhiro's phone began to ring, and he immediately picked up. Whatever it was, it was urgent due to how shocked he looked within the first few seconds of the call.

"Look online!" Ogawa scrolled through his phones."America just declared war on all countries of the world!"

"Not just America..." Bragi muttered, checking his phone."Canada...Russia...France..."

"Brazil, Poland, and many more countries..." Shirabe gasped.

"It says that sensitive information was leaked." Yosuke continued reading aloud."Several countries of the world have been discovered to have connections with the assassin, Allister Albedo after he leaked his information to several countries. This includes the assassinations led by different government officials, including Fudo Kazanari, who was just discovered to have plotted to take over the world using supernatural powers."

"What?!" Mona cried out in shock."B-but Father..."

"He would never do that!" Elsa protested."He wouldn't do something like that! He promised he wouldn't de-arimasu!"

"I agreed." Tsubasa nodded, sweating profusely."Then it is too late...They must have gotten him. Damn it!"

"Hazuki must have used what Allister knew to set the world upside down." Raiden gritted his teeth."This is bad...We just got all the countries of the world to work together in peace against Shem-Ha and Lucifer. If their trust is broken like this all of a sudden..."

"It's not just that." Maria scowled."There have been many reports of a terrorist group around the world...they were known to be a cult, but after the rise in members, they've taken their actions to a new level. As we suspected, the DDV are all over the world and are the terrorists with the bombs."

"I have some...horrible news." Yatsuhiro put his phone in his pocket."Judging by your expressions, you just realized what is going on. I just got a call from the UN. It seems that...we just lost over half of our members. Many countries are abandoning the UN and are turning against each other."

"What?!" Everyone gasped in horror.

"Allister Albedo knew too much. All countries are waging war against each other because of the many secrets they know have been exposed." Yatsuhiro closed his eyes."They are calling this...World War 3."

Meanwhile, in some unknown city, Hazuki sat in front of a balcony, overseeing the thousands of people cheering for his name, all of them clad in black robes and donning a snake brand on their hands. Hazuki was wearing a red robe with white feathers as well as a crown, acting like a God, overseeing his people.

"Just a few more weeks." He told his people. Nightmare stood tall next to him and Wei, who had his arms folded, watching the crowd. Despia wheeled Yomi's wheelchair closer. The boy's hair was shorter than before due to it being burned, and there were several scars across his body. He was now sporting an eyepatch and a beak-like mouth covering his jaw, mouth, and nose. Since he was missing his arms and legs, Despia was looking after him."Just a few more weeks before we can finally get the world we desire. Soon, this nightmare will finally be over. Isn't that right...?"

From within the inside, a curly brown hair, wearing black tights, white boots, and a black long-sleeved shirt underneath a white vest. The white of her eyes was now black, contrasting her brown eyes, and had the brand of a snake on her left hand. The girl marched up to the edge of the balcony, observing the masses with a blank expression on her face.

"Setsuna."

"Yes." She replied, her voice completely void of all emotion."Just a little more...so we can finally reach eternal happiness. Right...Haji?"

February 29, 9 in the morning, a few hours before the eclipse was scheduled and Ragnarok was set to happen. Several helicopters were flying above a devastated city, and countless soldiers rained down from the skies.

"Where there is light, there is also darkness. A coin has two sides. One can easily become the other in the blink of an eye. Ideals are merely reasons for people to serve. We are slaves to our desires."

Ryuki, in his Conqueror's Regalia form, landed on the ground, his eyes fixated on Ryuga, who was in his Dual Mode. Both dragon riders sized each other up before they blasted away toward each other.

"Humans's ideals are their motivations. What will they do in the face of ultimate destruction?" Odin said, observing the fight from high in the sky."Who will be the one to win this battle? The battle that shall determine the fate of this world? And who will be the one to become ruler of all creation? Alas, it matters not. This is not a fair game."

Ryuki and Ryuga lunged at each other, throwing their fists at one another, creating a huge explosion as everything turned white.

The war to decide the fate of existence approaches next season...Symphogear ERW! Stay tuned!

I've been so in love with it so I kept pumping chapter after chapter. But now, we're at the last season. Completely original from yours truly. But for now, I'll take a break while I get my ideas together. I have the whole season planned, or at least, the major events. All I have to do is connect the dots.
