The black cat couldn't help but stare at this one girl whose beauty knows no bounds. As well as many students stared in awe and were stunned at a girl, who was wearing the school uniform on the first day of school.
"That's our school's uniform, right?" One of the students said.
The beautiful girl walked as she looked at the black cat. The two stared at each other. The girl gripped her bag. She likes cats and she wants to pet it, no matter how much she likes cats. She gathers her courage to pet the cat.

A well-known university preparatory school in the prefecture.
The Students wearing their school uniforms. The uniforms were dark blue shirts with red ties and grey long pants. For the girls, it was the same as dark blue shirts with red ties and dark red shirts with black vertical strips.
As the students headed to the entrance some of them were wearing samurai, gym, and other activities.
"I never expected an average Joe like me to be accepted into a great preparatory high school like this one." said a student with normal looks and average height and weight. His style of clothing is also considered to be relatively typical. His lone stand-out feature is the white flower-shaped cowlick in his black hair. As he made it into the entrance of the school, he went to his locker as he picks up his school shoes, "I can't be greedy." He takes his school shoes and puts them on, "In any case, my goal for the time being is to read the room and lead a peaceful high school life!" He looks up in determination, "That's all. That's all I want."
Narrator: Tadano is a very shy person.
"As for me, I know to read the room, stay in my lane, and live inconspicuously. That is the true shortcut to happiness." Tadano closes his locker. But… was having second thoughts he breathed, "And I'm not saying that because I suffered trying to be unique in junior high. Not at all." Tadano's thought snapped as he heard one of the lockers shut, "Greetings are important." He turned his head to his classmate as he greeted her, "Oh, if this is your shoe cubby, then that means we're in the same class. Good mor-" Tadano stopped as he got a look at a girl with glossy dark purple/black hair that flowed to her lower back, a slender body, and an incredibly beautiful face. She is seen wearing her school uniform with full-length tights, her jacket fully buttoned up, and her skirt above her knees. "-ning." Tadano stared in awe, he couldn't help but admire her beauty as if cherry blossoms flew across him.

He didn't even notice that four girls were coming to the locker as he continued to stare at the pretty girl. They were wearing their school uniforms, but some of them were wearing something else.
One female, has blond hair, cyan-blue eyes, a necklace, and a bracelet.
The second female, has brown hair, pink eyes, pink eye shadow, and a golden necklace with a strange pendant.
The third female, has long black, eye shadow, purple eyes, and two black gloves.
The final female, who looks like a boy, who has short black hair, and a silver necklace.
"Oh hey, Hito." She greeted. But Tadano wasn't even paying attention. He was too focused on the pretty girl.
"WOW!" Tadano thought in his mind, "She's so pretty! Way to go! Thank you, high school!" Tadano was lucky enough to go to this high school and meet the prettiest girl in the flesh.

"Uh…" Suddenly the pretty girl turned to Tadano, "Huh?" The pretty girl gave him a death glare, "HUH?!" Tadano stared while she glared back, "W-What's the matter? Did I do something wrong?" But the pretty girl suddenly walked past Tadano at full speed, "Huh? Ahh!" Tadano exclaimed he turned back as she left the area, "Wh-What in the world was that all about?" Tadano calmed himself, "Oh?" He looked at the pretty girl's locker which revealed her name, "Komi?"
"Shoko Komi." The tomboy said. Tadano finally paid attention as he turned to the four girls., "You alright?"
"Huh? Yeah." Tadano said.
"Long time no see Hito." The tomboy said.
"Huh?" Tadano was confused for a moment, "You know me." Tadano took a minute and realized who it was. And who they were, "Wait? Hikaru! Selena!" He exclaimed in shock.
"Yes." Selena nodded.
"How could forget your childhood friends?" Hikaru said, "Must be 300 years ago." She said sarcastically.
"I mean uh bu-" Tadano stunned about as he pointed at Hikaru, "I thought you were a gi-"
"Don't say it." The blonde girl said in concern warning Tadano not to say it.
"Don't say what?" Tadano said, "And who are they?" He asked Hikaru and Selena's new friends.
"Oh, Tadano," Hikaru introduced her two new friends, "This is one of my friends from Junior High, Camila Alvarez, and Selena's BFF, Hannah West, from the Countryside of America and Camila from Peru."
"Hi!" Hannah greeted.
"Hola." Camila welcomed.
"Hi," Tadano greeted as well, "It's nice to meet you. It's been a while Hikaru, Selena. How have you been after in America."
"It was… fine," Hikaru said.
"Yes," Selena said. Hikaru decided to change the subject to Komi.
"You met Shoko right?"
"Shoko?" Tadano said, recalling Hikaru calling her 'Shoko Komi' "You mean Komi?"
"Yeah," Hikaru nodded, "First time meeting her right?"
"You know her?"
"She's also my childhood friend," Hikaru said, "So how is she?"
"Umm," Tadano is trying to come up with something, "She's pretty and… weird."
"Weird?" Hikaru asked.
'Minutes later'
Tadano, Hikaru, Selena, Camila, and Hannah together as they head straight to their classes. Tadano was not expected to meet a girl so pretty and weird at the same time.

"But seriously, what was up with that girl?" Tadano thought as he looked at the window viewing the cherry blossoms, "Well, um, one thing's for sure. She's really pretty."
The group walked as a female student passed them by as the student was meeting up with her friends. The student running to her friends has dark round red hair, the second friend has brown hair, and the third friend has long silver hair with a ponytail, wearing a silver armor arm on the right, and two armor legs.
"Morning!"

"We're in the same class!"
"I know!"
"Yay!"
Tadano, Hikaru, Selena, Camila, and Hannah walked into the classroom they all began to take their seats.
"Well an average Joe like me probably won't have any more contact with a girl like her anyway." Tadano sat at his desk, "I'm just going to lead a peaceful high school life." Tadano noticed one thing, "Uh…" Komi…

Narrator: Her seat was next to his.
Tadano looked at Komi, who stared blankly.
"Oh nuts," Hikaru said seeing Tadano sitting next to Komi.
"Uh…?"
Tadano, Hikaru, Selena, Camila, and Hannah noticed students from classes were taking videos and taking photos of Komi. They couldn't stop at how beautiful she was. Some students in the classroom. The ones who are close to her seat. They can smell her perform.
"Huh?"
"Oh great." Hikaru groaned.
"Ah, she smells like heaven!" A female student said, sitting in the back seat. Tadano looked at Komi.

"This girl Komi seems like she's already the most popular girl in school. And on the very first day of class!" Tadano thought, "Yeah, sure. It feels great that I get to sit next to the prettiest girl in school." Tadano closed his eyes as he thought.
"Don't let your guard down Hito," Hikaru said as she, Selena, Camila, and Hannah noticed as well.
"But is it just me or…" Tadano opened his eyes as if he was imagining one thing.

"Does it seem like I'm gonna get murdered!" Tadano could feel some glares and smirks from the students, it made them jealous that he was sitting next to Komi. The other person sitting next to Komi was a short silver-haired girl.
"When he mysteriously disappears somehow…"
"…Then I'll be the one who gets to sit next to her."
"Tadano huh?"
"Bunch of idiots." Hikaru thought as she glared.
Narrator: Tadano's high school life was doomed from the start.

"Introduce yourselves." The teacher said as she instructed every student in the class to introduce themselves. One student jumped up, it was a female with glasses and dark green hair with a short ponytail.
"I'm A-A-A-Agari." She said stuttering nervously as she introduced herself, "I-I-It's v-v-very nice to meet you." A student from the back laughed friendly.
"Agari, you're way too nervous right now." Said the student with brown hair. Everyone in the class laughed cheerfully.
"Oh, what a relief. The people in this class seem friendly." Tadano thoughted. But Hikaru.
"Hito."
"Huh?"
"Don't count on it yet."
"I forgot you can read my mind too."
"Next!" The next student who sat next to Tadano was none other than Shoko Komi. Tadano turned to Komi who was standing still.

"..." Everything was silent in the classroom for a moment. They were all waiting for Komi to speak up. But nothing came up. She was silent. Shoko stood up from her and stepped forward a little bit.
"Hmm?" The teacher was confused as Komi walked slowly, "Hmm?" Shoko walked again slowly, "Uh…" Shoko walked again when suddenly she walked fast towards the chalkboard and she grabbed a white chalk. The breeze of her beauty flung at the teacher as she "ooh" at it.
Shoko wrote her name down.

Shoko calmly walked back to her seat as the whole class cheered in joy and awe. Shoko sat back down next to Tadano.
"Next!"

"Huh?" Tadano turned to Selena, who got up from her desk. Until then there was silence again. Some of the students waited for her to speak up. But there was still nothing but a blank stare on her face.
"..." Just like Shoko, Selena stepped out of her desk.
"Hmm?" The teacher was confused also as Selena walked calmly to the chalkboard.
"Huh?" Selena dashed to the chalkboard shocking the class and the teacher.
Selena wrote her name down fast.

Selena put the chalk as the students were in silent by this weird girl. Selena walked calmly as she sat back down at her desk.
"Next!"

"Hello people of this class," Hannah stood up from her desk as she greeted them nicely, "I'm Hannah West. I'm from the countryside in America. I like cats, music, dancing, and art!" Hannah smiled.
"Next!"
"Hola," Camilia stood up from her desk as she introduced herself, "I'm Camila Alvarez. I'm also from the countryside in Peru. I speak Spanish and English."
"Next!"
"What's up, dummies." Hikaru said, getting up from her desk, "I'm Hikaru Miyamoto Gomez. Selena is my sister. I like video games, sports, art, animals, and take photos. Also if anyone lays a finger on my sister, my friends Shoko, Camila, and Hannah." Hikaru gave them the glare of their life, "You're dead." The students were shaken in fright by her comment. Expect for Tadano, Shoko, Selena, Camila, Hannah, and two other students.

"Next!" The teacher called out to the next student, "Next!"

"Yes!" Tadano called as he got up from his desk and he introduced himself, "Um, I'm Hitohito Tadano. And I'm really looking forward to this year. And my special skill is that I can read the room." Without a second thought, "Just kidding." Tadano chuckled as his classmates growled in anger.

"You mean not reading the room." A student said.
"He means it all too well," Hikaru said with sarcasm as she glared.
"And next!" As the teacher called out the next student. Tadano sat back in dread.
Narrator: Tadano was convinced that his entire school life was already over.
'A few hours later'
As classes continued some students were still bothered by Shoko's beauty. A few others didn't bother. One of them, a certain someone was taking a video of her.

"Listen up." The teacher said, as the students including, Tadano, Shoko, Hikaru, Selena, Camila, and Hannah wrote some things down in their journals, "These are the things you need to bring tomorrow. Write it down so you don't forget. Alright. First off, gym clothes. Oh, and write and paste your name on the number. Ans write your name on your gym shoes…"
"Whatever she does, it's picturesque." Tadano thought. He still couldn't help the beauty of Komi, it's like everything she does is wallpaper or a piece of art. As Shoko wrote some things down, she accidentally dropped her eraser without even noticing, "Huh?" Shoko's eraser dropped towards Tadano, "Oh, you dropped your eraser." He picked up her eraser as he gave-

Narrator: Now he's a target.
He was suddenly stopped by a pencil as it was flung before Selena caught it without even looking at it. Tadano stared blackly as he turned around and saw a male student with a ninja headband, a hat, and a black mask. The ninja looked mad.
"What? Who the heck is he?" Tadano thought. Worrying for his life, "I-I better give it back quick or I'm dead!" Tadano placed eraser at Shoko's desk. Shoko gasped for a moment. Her eraser was brought back to her desk. She took a deep breath trying to thank Tadano. She turned to Tadano as she shuddered. Tadano looked at her for a moment wondering what to say until-
Narrator: Tadano chose to pretend he didn't see anything.
His head faced away from Shoko, who tried to speak.
'Minutes later'
As the school continued for the next hour. The school bell rang as the next class was about to begin.

"Alright, we're meeting at the gym." The teacher instructed as the students left the classroom.
Tadano POV: My name is Hitohito Tadano. Starting today, I am a high schooler. Now that I'm a high schooler, my goal is to lead a peaceful high school life.
Tadano was about to put his stuff away when he heard rumbling sounds. He looked up and saw students charging straight to Komi's desk.
A goal best-suited to an average Joe like me.
"Huh?" Tadano is concerned that some of the students corner Komi. "Wah!" Until Tadano was suddenly knocked on the head by a student with weird dark cyan hair. He was knocked down to his chair as he passed out.
[OST Stopped]
The students didn't care as they all talked to Komi and asked her many things. But the one who cared was Shoko.
"Komi! Wanna eat lunch with us?"
"I love you!"
"What," Hikaru, Selena, Camila, and Hannah, "Did." Hikaru held a wooden staff, "I just." Along with Selena, Camila, and Hannah, "Say." Hikaru said in a dark tone. Every student was frightened as they ran away.
"Well, at least it's how it was supposed to be."
'Hours later'
Everyone ran away and headed back to their classes and their sessions. Hikaru, Selena, Camila, and Hannah left Tadano and Shoko alone.
"Why can't I…" Said a female voice.
"Someone's voice?" Tadano thought as he slowly opened his eyes.
"...I can't speak in front of everyone anymore."
"Huh? Was I asleep?" Tadano eyes were a bit blurry as he slowly opened his eyes.
"Meow."
"Oh no." Tadano jumped out of his sleep as he forgot about his classes, "I'm gonna miss our meeting at the next gym period!"
"Uh." Both Tadano and Komi looked at each other for a moment. Silence was in the class again. Tadano wondered if she was the one talking.
"Oh!" Tadano said nervously. "Umm… I… didn't hear…. anything you said. Hey." In a quick flash, Shoko got up from her desk as she ran out.

"Wait!" Tadano "I totally messed up! I told a stupid lie by saying I didn't hear anything after I obviously heard her say 'meow.' Ooh! She's never gonna forget this! I need to fix this up somehow. Ooh!" Tadano finally begins to speak, "Hey, Komi! Wait a sec! Could it be you're not great at talking to people?!" Shoko stopped running for a moment. She stopped as she held the door.
[OST Stopped]
"What the heck did I just say?" Tadano thought as he interjected from it, "There's no way! S-She the most popular girl in school. I'm just - an idiot. So disrespectful." Tadano laughed a little bit as Shoko turned her head to Tadano who just stopped mumbling."Um, uh…"
Silence came into the room but only for a moment. Shoko finally started to speak.
"Heh. Heh." Shoko spoke, however.
[OST Resumed]
"H-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h."
"Komi?"
"H-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h–h."
"Komi?"
[OST Stopped]
"..." Shoko stopped stuttering for a moment as Tadano fully understood her.
"You… really do struggle with speaking, don't you?" Tadano said as Shoko nod.
Narrator: I think he gets it.
Tadano leveled up! His understanding increased by three points!
Both Tadano and Komi organized their desks.
"So earlier, what were you trying to say to me?" Tadano asked Komi. She was about to speak and started stuttering again.
"H-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h."
"Oh… that again." Tadano thought, "I wonder if there's a better way to talk with her." He looked around to see if there was anything to talk about, he turned and noticed the chalkboard was still written "Hey!" Tadano turned to Komi, "How about if we try and communicate by writing on the chalkboard?" Shoko car hair ears popped out, "Oh…" She ran to the chalk while scratching it like a cat.
He didn't even have to ask twice.
Shoko wrote that she couldn't respond, "How did you know I can't talk to people?"
"Huh. Well…" Tadano explained, "Based on your reaction in the last couple of minutes to things… I guess no one else has noticed this about you before?" Shoko wrote down.
"No else except for Hikaru, Selena, Camila, and Hannah."
"Oh… I see, Komi." Tadano knew that Hikaru and Selena had known Shoko since childhood, but how come they mentioned this, "I can't believe it! Hikaru, Selena, Camila, and Hannah knew Komi and didn't say anything about this. Not only that but… can it be that I've already run out of things to say?!" Tadano was running out of things to say, "Well, I guess we're meeting at the gym next, right? See you there!"
Tadano attempts to flee.
"I can't take this!" Tadano was about to walk right out of the room, "Huh?" When Shoko grabbed him from behind.
But he couldn't get away.
After that Tadano stayed with Shoko, who resumed writing on the chalkboard.
"Maybe she does want to talk about something." Komi finished what she wrote. Took a deep breath, and showed it to him
"I didn't get a chance to eat lunch."
"Oh!" Tadano was curious, "So, are you hungry right now?" Shoko turned to Tadano, who jumped the gun. Shoko resumed writing, "Hmm?" Tadano was confused for a moment. "Huh?" When she was done writing he gasped at what she wrote.

"I really want to talk to other people. But when I'm in front of them, I freeze. I'm sure I look scary and all, but I actually would like to talk to them." Tadano was relieved that the serious stuttering that she did was her freezing, "And whenever I approach someone, they either get nervous or faint. I don't blame them. Who would want to talk to someone like me?" She stopped writing while feeling gloomy.
"I think there's a big misunderstanding about her." Tadano thought. Shoko frustrated herself while holding the chalk. She took a deep breath as she resumed writing.
"When I was in Junior high, it was so hard eating lunch all by myself. Seeing everyone else talking and laughing every day for three years. I tried to start conversations, but my voice just never came out. No matter what I did, I was never able to talk to anyone. What should I do? How should I start a conversation? What do I do after that? What if I get rejected? What topic should I bring up next? What if they think I'm boring? What if my smile looks weird? What am I supposed to do?" Komi stopped writing when her frustration broke a piece of the chalk and it fell to the ground. Shoko calmed herself as she resumed writing. Tadano might just feel bad for her, "I wanted to ask if you'd like to eat together." Shoko stopped as she cried a little.
"So, she was trying really hard to talk. She just couldn't." Tadano walked to Shoko, "Komi is not unfriendly or unapproachable. She just has a problem." Tadano pulled out a tissue, "Here you go, you can use this." As he handed it to Shoko, "She's just… a typical girl."
"These are hiccups."
[OST Stopped]
"He," Shoko hiccuped, "Ep."
"Huh?" Which shook Tadano as he dropped the tissue.
Minutes passed as Shoko erased everything on the board.
"So, did your hiccups, stop?" Tadano asked.
"I'm sorry." Shoko wrote.
"It's okay," Tadano replied. Shoko turned to the chalkboard, breathed a little, and continued writing.
"I just feel so frustrated, I can't even greet someone. I can't talk about all the things I like, what makes me happy, what makes me sad, what I'm proud of, what I'm embarrassed about, homework, what shows I watch, or even the weather. I'm sorry, Tadano, for all of this."
"T-Tadano? Tadano!" Tadano was shocked when Komi wrote down Tadano's name, "Huh?" Tadano also noticed the trouble part, "Trouble? How do you think you caused me any trouble?" Shoko turned to Tadano staring at him with a blank expression. She mentioned the trouble between the students in their class.
"Because…"
"She dodged the question." Tadano thought. Shoko resumed writing.
"In any case, I thought I really should apologize to you. I am truly sorry, Tadano." Tadano was silent feeling truly sorry for Komi, "Sorry for keeping you, I know this isn't your problem. I'd understand if you decided to forget everything I wrote here today." Komi placed chalk down as she grabbed the eraser and erased the words slowly. "Goodbye."
With that, she took the eraser and stopped for a moment. And then finally erasing it. Shoko stood there for a moment. Turned to Tadano standing there for a moment again. And bowed her head down to Tadano with one final goodbye.
Shoko raised her head as walk to her things. Without even noticing Tadano clenched his fist. He knows Komi deserves better. She needs a friend, and she's gonna get one.
Shoko walked her to the exit of the class. She heard chalk noises coming from the chalkboard. She turned to see that it was Tadano writing on the chalkboard. He wrote.
[Playing: Komi Can't Communicate OST - To My First Friend]
"The weather's nice today, don't you think?" He wrote on the chalkboard of the broking piece of chalk that Shoko broke.
Komi's expression was a glare at first then for a moment she walked to the chalkboard. She grabbed the chalk and took a deep cleansing breath. As she wrote down.
"Yes." Komi wrote. Tadano smiled a little as try to find the next thing to say. He got a little nothing as he turned to Shoko.
"Anything else?" Tadano said which startled Shoko, "Oh…" Shoko calmed herself with a cute blank big eye expression as she wrote.
"The cherry blossoms are pretty too."
"Hey, just relax, okay?" Tadano said as Komi's body was shaken nervously. They both continued writing or talking on the chalkboard. One by one they talk, about what they like and don't like. Tadano looked at Komi for a moment, "Uh…" And chuckled a little, "Haha."
Both Tadano and Komi continued writing down everything on the chalkboard. It was non-stop talking or chatting on the chalkboard, like starting a conversation without speaking but only communicating while writing.
They talk about everything on the chalkboard, how their day in school and how, what, and why it happened. Then they talk about their favorite things they like, movies, shows, cartoons, games, food, toys they use to play with, books they read, what they like to do, what they do during free time, what places they want to go, where they go during vacation and a few of their favorite thing.
Tadano and Komi had a non-stop conversation as the chalkboard was almost full.
Tadano POV: That's how our first conversation started. I told her I was worried watching her cry, even if it was just hiccups. She told me she thought she was gonna faint when she had to introduce herself and thanked me for picking up her eraser. Now I know she likes cats and that she was actually talking to the doll.
The chalkboard was full as they erased all of it and started a new one. Tadano wrote a question,
"Do you have a dream, Komi?"
"I want to make 300 friends." Komi wrote down, "I got this reference from a movie with me, Hikaru, Selena, Camila, and Hannah watched. It was Hikaru's idea. I froze in terror while watching the movie. Please, don't laugh." Shoko wrote as she looked at Tadano worrying he might laugh.
"Wow! Really? I love that idea!" Tadano smiled as he wrote. "Then you only have 299 left because you just made one." Komi's eyes widened in shock as she made a first friend. Tadano looked at Komi and looked back at the words he wrote, he blushed to conclusions as he quickly erased it, "Sorry! I didn't mean to make assumptions, you may not even want that!" But Komi clenched her palm as she wrote
"Thank you, Tadano."
[OST Finished]
"Huh?" Tadano expression was confused as he looked at Komi, who blushed a little as she placed her hands on her chest. The moment was gone when Shoko quickly turned around and walked pace out of the classroom, "Komi!" Tadano exclaimed. It was silent for a moment as he blushed steamily.
Tadano: So, that's how my unusual high school life begins. My goal is to help Komi, who's not very good at talking with people.
Tadano walked to the chalkboard where Komi wrote.
"Not very good at talking with people doesn't really sound right." Tadano picked up the chalk, wrote some stuff down, and circled it, "Socializing… Not good at communication… Commu-" He stopped for a moment and now realizes his true goal, "My goal is to help Komi, who can't communicate, to make 299 more friends." As he wrote things down he was unaware that Komi was behind the doorway beaming with joy finally making a friend.
Narrator: When a person has extreme social anxiety, also known as sociophobia, they struggle to communicate with others. We must take into consideration that they're struggling with this, not that they don't want to have connections with people, just that it's more difficult for them.
'The Next day'
"Hey! Morning!"
"Morning!"
It was the next day of school and many students came. Tadano was putting on his school shoes. Students blushed to see Komi again admiring her beauty. Shoko got to her locker as she got out on her school shows too.

Tadano: As for me… I know. Komi is beautiful. She's by far the most beautiful human I've ever laid eyes on. Her skin is fair, her eyes are almond-shaped and big, and her hair is smooth and silky. She smells good. She's just… so bright!
Komi turned to Tadano, which shone a light on her.
"Uh… Komi!" Tadano was startled, "Oh, sorry. What I meant to say was good morning."
"Ah." Shoko's voice nearly spoke as Tadano was prepared.
"Huh?"
"G… G… G…" Tadano was about to see Komi finally speaking but it ended stuttering, "G… G… G… G…" Which failed to say good morning.
"Good morning Hito, Shoko." Tadano and Komi stopped and turned to see Hikaru, Selena, Camila, and Hannah. They all went to their locker
"Oh, Hikaru! Selena!" Tadano exclaimed. Shoko was shaken by her childhood friends.
"Hey, Shoko," Hikaru said greeting Shoko. She prepared to speak.
"G… G… G." Hikaru waited for Shoko to speak, but Shoko stuttered again trying her best to say 'good morning.'
"Same old, Shoko." Hikaru said.
"Yes," Selena said nodding her head.
"Hola Shoko. Hito." Camila said greeting both of them.
"Hello, Tadano, Komi." Hannah waved at Hito and Shoko, "Long time no see Shoko." Shoko was shaken by Hannah's positive voice, it's been a while since she's always smiling, "My besties weren't kidding about you." Shoko was worried she might say something insulting, "You are really beautiful Komi, your hair and everything." Shoko looked at Hannah in awe, "And sorry about your unable to communicate in front of the class. It's been a while." Shoko was in awe again. It seems like some things never change. Shoko nodded.
"Hey, girls," Hito greeted, "Good morning."
"What up Tadano," Hikaru waved, she noticed that he and Komi were talking, "So you two have met already on the first day."
"Yeah," Tadano nodded, "In lunch when I was knocked down. And left alone with Komi."
"Oh. And how did that go?" Hannah asked. Couris to know what happened then.
"It went well," Tadano said, "We talked." Hikaru, Selena, Camila, and Hannah looked at Tadano with curiosity, "On the chalkboard."
"Oh." The four said.
"Hey," Hannah had an idea, "Wana walk to class together?"
"Sure," Tadano said. He turned to Shoko, "Komi." Shoko looked at Tadano and her friends. She's nervous about the thought of walking with her new friend Tadano, her childhood friends, Hikaru, Selena, Camila, and her old friend Hannah. This was the first time she walked her new friend along with her old friends.
"Shoko?" Concerned Hikaru, wondering what Shoko would say. She turned to them as she nodded 'Yes', "Okay. Let's go"
With that Tadano, Komi, Hikaru, Selena, Camila, and Hannah walked together to their class.
"Um, let's see." Tadano thought some stuff about how Komi should talk, "Okay. First, we need to start you practicing on how to find your voice." The group stopped by the stairway, "So, let's begin with you saying… 'Will you be my friend?' When you master that, you'll have 300 friends in no time at all!" Komi's cat hair ears popped out joyful.
"300 friends?" Hikaru, Selena, Camila, and Hannah said in unison.
"Really? You got that from watching 300?" Hikaru said. Shoko shook nervously.
"Wait 300 is a movie?" Tadano asked.
"Yeah, it is. It's an action history movie."
"Well, Komi said she froze while watching it."
"I told you she wouldn't like it!" Hannah exclaimed to Hikaru.
"But it was also a cinematic masterpiece."
"Yes. Artistic." Selena said.
"But you also didn't warn me, Camila, and Shoko about the blood and coitus scenes."
"Si."
"Uh… Coitus?" Tadano said in confusion.
"You don't wanna know, Komi has seen hell from that movie other than the story, action, and the amazing shots," Hannah said. The four girls turned to Shoko.
"What do you think Shoko?" Hikaru said. Waiting for Shoko to respond.
"..."
The silence was in the room as they waited for Komi's response.
SFX: Crack
But Shoko was freezing in stone unwilling to respond which shook the group.
"Komi!" Tadano was concerned, "Hey!"
"Shoko?" Concerned Hikaru.
Tadano: As for me, I know.
"Komi!"
"Hey! Hello?"
I know Komi can't communicate. (A/N: Title drop!)
"Uh…" Tadano was about to say something when Shoko raised her finger as a response to wait.

Tadano hasn't realized something. How difficult it's going to be for Komi to make friends at this school.

Shoko breathed as she was about to speak. But…
"P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P." Shoko begins to stutter again, "Pft." Which it gave it a stop which shook the group.
"Huh?"
"Shoko?" Concerned Hannah. Shoko stood there in silence. As that Shoko took a deep cleaning breath again.
"Oh." Tadano let Shoko breathe again. She closed her eyes for just a moment then looked at her friends and new friend, "Huh?"
"Shoko?" Concerned Hikaru.
"Ah."
Something extra before the end.
"Her milky smooth skin was illuminated by the light from the room that had a slight red hue to it. She did not receive her dainty limbs and delicateness from an impoverished upbringing. She waited patiently. The old lady finally left the room a little while later, the girl spoke with a subtle accent."
"Alright, the next student to read will be Komi." The teacher said which got the students to gasp as they looked at Shoko, who stood up from her seat.
"…" Everything was silent at the moment waiting for Komi to read.
"Uh… oh…" Tadano, Hikaru, Selena, Camila, and Hannah were concerned might be able to speak. But she still couldn't with all this much attention.
"..."
"Uh-huh! Of course, you're right!" The teacher exclaimed, "Reading textbooks aloud is absolutely pointless! All of you read in silence!"
Tadano, Hikaru, Selena, Camila, Hannah, and the other students were confused by that statement the teacher just made.
Narrator: She was too nervous to read, but okay.
"Seriously!" Hikaru exclaimed throwing her book at the teacher and knocking him on the head.
