Hey. Can you hear me?" A voice had called to Jack.
Samurai Jack had begun to hear voices in his sleep. It was loud, as if someone was talking to him. His eyes had begun to flutter open after losing consciousness for how long. And as soon as he opened his eyes, he saw a young person with dark spiky hair, a pair of cold blue eyes. He had worn a black Demon Slayer uniform under a mixed haori. One side of the haori was red and the other half of the haori were mixed with yellow and green shapes.
"You seem to be awake, now." Giyu said as he sat on his knees next Samurai Jack's bedridden body.
"Where am I?" Samurai Jack had blinked, twice. He looked to the ceiling first, then at Giyu who sat next to him. The bedroom doors and windows were closed as Giyu wanted his and Jack's conversation personal.
"You are within the Kamado Residence." Giyu had answered.
Samurai Jack had gasped. "Is everyone alright? Were they hurt?" Samurai Jack had then thought of the Kamado Family. He tried to sit up but was still in a bit of pain. He groaned a smal bit.
"Easy. Don't strain yourself." Giyu said.
"But, I need to know if they are alright..." Samurai Jack asked while slowly lying back down.
Giyu nodded. "No need to worry. The family that lives here are all safe and sound."
Samurai Jack had sighed, now feeling relieved.
"I need you to tell me what happened..." Giyu said.
"What do you mean?" Samurai Jack had looked at Giyu a bit confused.
"I need you to know. Those injuries." Giyu had pointed at the bandage wrapped around Samurai Jack's head. "Was that the work of a demon?" Giyu asked.
"A demon?" Samurai Jack had thought for a second, then gasped.
Brief Flashback
Samurai Jack had faced Muzan Kibutsuji during a snowy weather. Snowflakes had slowly fallen from the sky.
"I can sense a lot of potential in you." Muzan then raised his right hand forward. "Join me. Become a demon, like me."
"A demon?" Samurai Jack muttered in front of Muzan. 'So, this must be what he is. He may not be like Aku, but I sense that this guy is completely dangerous.' Samurai Jack had thought to himself.
End Brief Flashback
"Um, yes. You can say that." Samurai Jack had answered.
"Describe him to me." Giyu asked.
"Yes, I will. But, may I ask who you are first?" Samurai Jack asked Giyu, not knowing who he is.
"I am Giyu Tomioka of the Demon Slayer Corp." Giyu had introduced himself to Samurai Jack.
'The Demon Slayer Corp.?' Samurai Jack had thought to himself as he raised his left brow.
"Now, explain to me what the demon looked like and what were its abilities." Giyu said.
"Oh. Right. Well..." Samurai Jack had begun to think of his fight with Muzan. "This "demon" that I faced... looked like a regular person."
"A person?"
"Yes. When I stared into his eyes... I could see nothing but bloodlust and death. So, I knew he was a threat to not only me-but to the entire Kamado Family and every person that demon might come across." Samurai Jack had explained.
"What were his abilities?" Giyu asked.
"When we fought... he turned his arms into giant tendril whips with blades attached to them." Samurai Jack had noted.
So, this demon shapeshifter..." Giyu had assumed.
"I believe so. He was one of the strongest foes I have ever faced." Samurai Jack had replied.
Meanwhile...
As Samurai Jack was explaining to Giyu Tomioka about what had happened on the previous night... The Kamado Family, such as Tanjiro, Takeo, Shigeru and Hanako were busy eavesdropping. Listening to their conversation. They tried their best to act as quiet as mice as they had stood near the bedroom door. Their ears were open.
Meanwhile...
"Did you finish him off?" Giyu asked.
"I'm afraid not." Samurai Jack had shook his head no, while bedridden.
"Why didn't you?" Giyu asked. He felt a bit irritated.
"Because..." Samurai Jack had then thought of Takeo. "I'm afraid that I cannot say."
"Do you have any idea what you have done?" Giyu had angrily asked.
Samurai Jack could hear the frustration within Giyu's voice.
"You let a demon get away. That is totally unacceptable. That demon you encountered and let go is probably killing more innocent people as we speak." Giyu told Samurai Jack.
Samurai Jack had silently gasped.
Meanwhile...
On the other side of the bedroom door, Takeo Kamado had shockingly gasped. 'So that thing Samurai Jack was handling last night in the snow was... actually a demon?' His eyes widened in shock.
'A demon?' Taniro had thought to himself. He was confused.
Meanwhile...
"I don't care what the situation is. If you ever encounter any kind of demon, you must kill it right away. No acceptations. Otherwise, demons will easily take advantage of the mercy you give and kill you, instead. If not kill you, then they will expose you with their blood-infecting you and turning you into man-eating demons. That's one way they multiply."
Samurai Jack had gasped, shockingly. "You mean... there's more demons out there in the world?"
"I don't know about the whole world, but demons had infested the country of Japan for many centuries." Giyu had stated.
Meanwhile...
On the other side of the bedroom door, the Kamado Siblings such as Tanjiro, Takeo, Shigeru and Hanako had covered their mouths, shockingly.
'There are more demons?' Tanjiro had thought in shock.
'All across Japan?' Hanako had thought as she covered her mouth.
'For many centuries?' Takeo had thought to himself.
The Kamado siblings had begun to feel very terrified after learning the existence of demons from Giyu Tomioka. They can't help but imagine what demons look like.
Meanwhile...
"As a member of the Demon Slayer Corp. my job is to slay demons-like the one you had previously encountered. And to also eradicate all demons from existence. " Giyu had told Samurai Jack.
"Oh. Where I am from, I am the only person that is hunting down and defeating demons." Samurai Jack had stated.
"Where are you from?" Giyu had asked.
"Oh, me? Well, I'm from the capital of Japan. Kyoto." Samurai Jack had answered.
"Kyoto?" Giyu asked. Thinking he didn't hear Samurai Jack right.
"That's right." Samurai Jack nodded.
Giyu had sighed. "Sorry. But, that city hasn't been the capital of Japan for more than fifty years."
"What?" Samurai Jack asked, after learning the news.
"We have a new capital in Japan. And it's Tokyo. It's been the capital of Japan, since the late eighteen sixties." Giyu had stated.
Samurai Jack's eyes had widened. 'Eighteen... sixties? Tokyo?' Samurai Jack had quickly sat up. "What era are we in right now?" He asked, wanting an immediate answer.
Giyu had slowly opened his mouth. "This is the Taishō era. And the year is Nineteen..."
Samurai Jack's eyes had widened in shock and his ears had muted before Giyu could finish. 'Taishō... it all makes sense, now. The moment before I could land the final strike... Aku didn't cast some kind of spell on me... he sent me a few centuries ahead into the future, so that I could not defeat him.' Samurai Jack had then thought of Aku. Samurai Jack had gritted his teeth out of frustration. 'If I had not hesitated, I could've ended him, then and there. And hundreds-maybe, thousands would still be alive, if I had not hesitated! Once I find Aku, I'll make sure that I'll-'
"Hey." Giyu had called Samurai Jack.
Samurai Jack had gasped, then looked to Giyu.
"You're spacing out." Giyu told Samurai Jack.
"Oh. Sorry."
"I'm going to be heading out, soon and getting help." Giyu said.
"Help?" Samurai Jack asked.
Giyu had slowly stood on his feet. "Yes. As I can see, you're clearly wounded and the demon that you fought knows where this place is now. Sorry to say this, but you and the family that live here... are no longer safe. You all would have to relocate someplace else, soon. Before another demon comes and attacks this family."
Samurai Jack sighed as he understood what Giyu was saying. "I understand."
Giyu had then walked toward the door that leads him out of the bedroom. "And one more thing."
"What is it?" Samurai Jack asked.
"Once your wounds are completely healed, I want you to go to Mount Sagiri and search for a man, named Sakonji Urokodaki. He wears a red Tengu mask and tell him that Giyu Tomioka sent you."
Samurai Jack had stared at Giyu's backside. 'Sakonji... Urokodaki. And Mount Sagiri...'
Giyu had then opened the door and exited the Kamado Family bedroom without properly parting ways with Samurai Jack. The Kamado siblings, such as Tanjiro, Takeo, Shigeru and Hanako had gasped, surprisingly when they saw Giyu Tomioka in close up.
Giyu did not pay any kind of attention to the Kamado siblings as he continued to walk toward the front door.
The four Kamado siblings, such as Tanjiro, Hanako, Takeo and Shigeru just watched Giyu pass him.
Kie Kamado had saw Giyu preparing to leave. She had a bowl of warm ready for Giyu. "Hello, would you like some Miso Soup before..."
"No thank you." Giyu said without looking at Kie. "Farewell." Giyu said, before opening the sliding door and exiting the home. And closing the door behind him.
Kie had just stared at the front home sliding door after Giyu had left.
Meanwhile...
Giyu Tomioka had begun to make his way down the mountain and leave the Kamado Residence. He walked, unfazed by the cold snow around him. As he was about to meet a snowy forest... Giyu was met by Nezuko Kamado, who held her youngest sibling, Rokuta Kamado on her back, but with a blanket covering him.
"Have a nice trip." Nezuko said in a positive tone.
Giyu did not say a word as he passed Nezuko. But, he did share a single glance at her while passing.
Nezuko had blinked, once. In a bit of confusion when she noticed his glance. She had continued to watch Giyu walk into a snowy forest, until he disappeared from her vision. She had silently glanced.
Meanwhile...
Within the Kamado Residence... Samurai Jack was met by four of the Kamado siblings. They had sat around the samurai in white. "What was that all about, Mister Jack?" Hanako asked.
"Is it really true what that guy said? That demons are really real?" Takeo asked Samurai Jack with a real worried look. He heard Samurai Jack and Giyu's discussion about demons.
"Well, I... uh." Samurai Jack had hesitated to answer. He didn't want to bring fear to Takeo.
"Who was that guy, anyway? Are you two planning on working together?" Shigeru asked.
"I guess we are. Maybe..." Samurai Jack had replied to Shigeru's question.
"Who is this Urokodaki person?" Shigeru had asked.
"Okay, that's enough." Tanjiro said, quieting his younger siblings. "This man clearly needs his rest." Tanjiro told his siblings. He then told Samurai Jack. "Sorry about that. I'm Tanjiro Kamado. The oldest of the Kamado siblings." He had happily introduced himself to Samurai Jack. "And you must be..."
"Jack. Samurai Jack." Samurai Jack had introduced himself.
