A/N: Enjoy! 😁

"Let's go home, Eri."

Looking at the man, Izuku knew about him. That mask, he heard about him years ago. The man named Overhaul. Izuku never got in contact with Shie Hassaikai back then, but his reputation struck fear even towards most yakuza Izuku briefly worked with.

Overhaul stepped forward, his voice smooth and controlled. "Apologies for the inconvenience, young man," he addressed Izuku. "My daughter is prone to... outbursts."

Izuku glanced at the child, noting the terror etched on her face, the way she clung to his leg as if seeking refuge. A sense of unease settled in his gut, but he couldn't quite place why.

"Is everything alright?" he asked, his voice laced with concern.

Overhaul's lips curled into a thin smile. "Nothing a bit of fatherly discipline won't fix," he replied, reaching for the girl's arm.

The child recoiled, her grip on Izuku tightening. "No!" she cried, her voice barely a whisper. "Please, don't let him take me!"

Izuku's heart pounded in his chest. This was no ordinary "domestic matter." The child's fear was palpable, her plea for help echoing in his ears.

"I think I'll wait with her until she calms down," Izuku said, his voice surprisingly firm.

Overhaul's smile faltered for a moment, a flicker of annoyance crossing his face. "I assure you, young man, this is a family affair. Your interference is unnecessary."

Izuku's gaze hardened. "I'm not so sure about that," he countered. "Something doesn't feel right here."

"What's your name again, kid?" Overhaul suddenly asked.

"Force Majeure," Izuku instantly answered.

"I see." Overhaul's demeanor shifted, his patience wearing thin. With a loud slam to the wall, razor-sharp spikes erupted from the pavement and surrounding walls, attempting to turn Izuku into a pincushion.

Izuku, however, wasn't fazed. He didn't even move to avoid the attack. Upon contact, the spikes broke off, unable to penetrate his skin.

"It's rude to try and hurt me," he said, his tone dangerously low. "That wasn't a nice thing to do."

The little girl beside him was surprised by what she saw.

Overhaul's eyes narrowed, a mixture of surprise and annoyance reflected in his gaze. "Interesting. A mutant-type quirk, or perhaps a defensive-type? Or maybe...? Well, it matters not."

"You shouldn't hurt others just because you can," Izuku continued, his gaze fixed on the older man. "Especially not children."

Overhaul let out a short, mirthless laugh. "Ah, and here I thought you were a mere idiot, blindly interfering where you don't belong. And yet, you don't seem like an ordinary human. Rather, you're no human, are you? Very well, I shall show you the true extent of my power."

"Far from it. If anything, I'm a simple human. At the very least, more human than someone who abuses a child."

Ignoring him, Overhaul removed the glove on his right hand and pulled his sleeves, revealing the intricate pattern tattooed from him arm to his palm.

"Now, I'll make you regret ever crossing me," Overhaul sneered, his tone full of contempt.

"I'll give you a chance to walk away," Izuku warned, his tone icy. "I don't want to fight you, but I won't hesitate if you make me."

Overhaul still ignored him, instead focusing on the little girl clinging to his leg.

"You brought this on him, Eri, everything is your fault," he said, his words sending a shiver down the girl's spine.

Without a second thought, he reached for Izuku with his bare hand, his speed faster than anything he has ever seen. Before anyone could notice, Overhaul's palm connected to Izuku's face. Or, at least, that's what it appears to anyone else. Between Overhaul's palm and Izuku's face is a thin layer of Shield spell on him, crumbling to dust by the second.

Wasting no time, Izuku grabbed the little girl, Eri, and jumped away from Overhaul.

'What was that? I knew he was feared by other yakuzas, but that's...' A single drop of sweat trickled down Izuku's cheek. 'That's absurd.'

"Put Eri down." Overhaul ordered him with a cold, emotionless tone. "Now."

'That hand...he can kill anyone upon contact to his targets. No wonder he was feared by his rivals.'

Regardless, Izuku stared at Overhaul with a wide smile on his face, "Never." He firmly declared.

Overhaul smirked behind his plague mask. "You have guts, boy," he said as his veins began to bulge and darken. "But your arrogance will be your downfall."

In the blink of an eye, he reached for Izuku, who instinctively held Eri tighter in his arms as he jumped backwards to avoid the hand reaching for her. However, the moment Overhaul's fingers made contact where they were, something rippled through and everything in its direction gets ripped apart. The trees, the cars, the ground – everything crumbled to dust.

'Shit! Is that even a quirk?!' Izuku thought as he watched the devastation from happening. As he was thinking that, he briefly saw the forearm of Overhaul glowing with sickening purple glow. That was all he needed to confirm that he's using magic. Possibly combined with his quirk.

Overhaul didn't move from his spot, like in some magical girl knockoff prequel movie, his hand stretches in some zigzag pattern aiming for Izuku's chest. Thankfully, Izuku was able to easily dodge it. Though it kept on coming to him, one attack after the other, but he's keeping up.

'It's slower than when he charged at me, but it's moving pretty randomly.'

Eri, still being carried by Izuku during this couldn't keep up and is feeling nauseous from all the moving around.

'THREE OF A KIND!' Izuku shouted in mind as he directed searing flames toward the villain's hands, the intense heat melting one of them. A sickly sweet odor of burning flesh wafted through the air. Izuku thought Overhaul would be easier to handle now until the villain touched his severed hand and it reconstructed itself right before Izuku's widening eyes.

"Stop, Villain!" A gruff voice bellowed from behind. Izuku turned to see the towering figure of Endeavor in his civilian outfit, the hero's brow furrowed in a deep scowl. Accompanying him were three others—two men and a woman—one of whom Izuku recognized as his classmate Todoroki Shoto. The other two must be Endeavor's other children.

"Endeavor, good timing. I'm dealing with—" Izuku's words were cut off as a blinding beam of azure energy lanced toward him. He swiftly cast a shimmering forcefield that absorbed the impact with a deafening thunderclap, pushing him back a few feet. The heat seared his face as the shield flickered and died. If not for that protection, the beam would have pierced straight through his chest. That would've been bad, Evoker durability or not.

"At first I didn't realize it. But I've read about your kind before..." Overhaul's voice took on an ominous, resonating quality that seemed to reverberate in Izuku's bones. "To think I'll see one this soon. But this is great timing. You and Eri will be perfect test subjects."

Lightning crackled around Izuku's clenched fists as he launched a bolt at Overhaul. But impossibly, it fizzled against the villain's body with a shower of sparks. Izuku's jaw dropped. That attack should have vaporized most people!

Shifting his stance, he readied to launch Overhaul skyward, but paused. "Todorokis, mind looking after Eri for a few minutes? I have a quack doctor to put down."

"Yeah, I can handle her for a while," Shoto replied without hesitation, the gravity of the situation clear in his furrowed brow. He gestured to the other two. "These are my siblings; Fuyumi and Natsuo."

"Thanks. And nice to meetcha." Izuku flashed a roguish grin at the pair before turning serious eyes on the frightened Eri. "You'll be safe with them, okay?"

Eri hesitated, her small frame trembling, but gave a tiny nod of assent. Though she didn't know these new people, she trusted Izuku's words for some reason she herself didn't know.

Izuku patted her reassuringly on the head, his calloused palm ruffling her hair as he flashed one last warm smile. Green lightning wreathed his muscled form as he invoked the power of One For All. Cards materialized in his hands, imbuing his limbs with a shimmering Force. In a blur of motion too fast for the eye to track, he launched himself like a supersonic missile, fist crunching into Overhaul's body and cratering the pavement beneath them. Overhaul's pained grunt was swallowed up by the thunderclap of Izuku's passing as the villain was launched away in a blinding streak.

That may have been enough for most people. Nay, that would've been enough for most monsters walking around Elsewhere that Izuku knew. But something tells him that it's far from over. Izuku then used his power to launch himself in the air, following after Overhaul.

The very earth shook as Izuku leapt skyward in pursuit, following the villain's arcing trajectory high into the clouds. Midair, a small explosive object detonated against him in a blinding flash and deafening roar that shattered windows in a hail of glittering shards. Though burned, Izuku shrugged it off, blinking the disorientation from his eyes to re-acquire his target.

That's when his sight went haywire, seeing triple wavering afterimages of Overhaul. At first he thought it lingered from the blast, but that didn't explain the leaden weight in his limbs or the splitting migraine in his skull.

'What's happening? This has never happened before,' was what he was thinking. However, he had no time to ponder on this as he had to focus on the task at hand. He tried to gain distance from him, only to slip and fall on his bottom.

"That wasn't supposed to blow up," Overhaul said, looking up the sky before continuing, "But I guess it shows how much power you Evokers have."

"What?"

"It couldn't contain your power, that's why. And it was so expensive too," Overhaul said with a sigh.

Izuku can barely move at all, but that doesn't mean his cards are useless. He launch magic fire to the villain, fully intending on melting him to the bone. But this attack dissipated, and before he knew it, another spherical explosive arced in, detonating with apocalyptic force that shredded flesh from bone in an eruption of blazing agony. Blood sprayed from his ravaged face as shattered bones ground together.

But this didn't hurt him much. It's far from the worst injuries he had, and it will regenerate before the sun rises tomorrow, within a few minutes if he calls for a Healer like Yui. Thankfully, this one didn't weaken him like the last explosion.

'What's the logic for it?' Izuku thought.

"Interesting. That was the last one, but I can get more later," Overhaul mused dispassionately. "But for now..."

In a blur, he appeared directly behind Izuku, rancid breath washing over the hero's neck. "I'll take you and then Eri."

Reacting on instinct, Izuku twisted and launched a sweeping kick that caught Overhaul in the chest, tumbling him through the air. As the villain hung suspended, Izuku summoned a crackling flame-spear, driving it squarely through Overhaul's heart...or where his heart should've been, as the villain remained maddeningly unharmed. That split-second cost Izuku as Overhaul blasted him with devastating force, smashing him through concrete walls in an thunderous explosion of rubble.

He crashed amid a burning hail of debris in the shattered husk of an abandoned warehouse. Flayed skin leaked crimson rivers pooling beneath him, tattered costume strips clinging to his lacerated muscles. Jagged bone shards protruded in a gruesome echo of "before" healing card images.

With a ragged groan, Izuku forced himself upright, agony lancing through his body as he forced his healing to kick in. "What the hell are you?" he rasped, spitting out a mouthful of blood. "Where'd you learn to do this?"

Overhaul said nothing, measured footsteps echoing like a metronome through the eerie silence as he slowly advanced.

"How's a human able to pull off all that?" Izuku pressed through a shattered jaw. "Where'd you get those powers?"

"Hmm? Why should I tell you?" Overhaul sneered imperiously. "You won't live long enough anyway. Soon you'll be dead and I'll use your body for my creations."

Izuku barked a rasping laugh, tasting copper. "Wow, phrasing."

But his mind raced, urgently seeking any angle to turn this uneven battle around. Overhaul's speed outmatched anything human, his defenses were impregnable, and even Izuku's ultimate attacks proved useless. He had to find a way to end this before the villain turned him into literal pounds of flesh - or worse.

Overhaul rolled his eyes in annoyance but didn't say anything else as he kept on approaching Izuku.

As Overhaul closed within striking range, Izuku unleashed a tremendous blast of force that would've pulverized a tank. But the villain managed to mostly avoid it, staggered but recovering as his shattered mask rained down in glittering shards.

"That mask cost a fortune!" Overhaul screeched petulantly, his voice reverberating through the shattered hall. "You're gonna pay for that!"

The mask! Izuku's instincts blazed - it must be empowering Overhaul's defenses somehow, though likely not the only one he had. But it gave him an angle to exploit, a potential weakness.

Izuku pressed his advantage, bombarding Overhaul with concentrated blasts of force while the villain was off-balance. Shockwaves cratered the concrete floor as Overhaul was driven back, deflecting what he could while sustaining glancing blows that tore at his defenses.

"You think...breaking some trinket...will stop me?" Overhaul snarled, staggering under the relentless assault.

Seizing the moment, Overhaul launched himself forward, closing the distance in a blink. His fist slammed into Izuku's face with the force of a wrecking ball, snapping his head back with a spray of blood and shattering bone. White-hot agony lanced through Izuku's skull as he crashed to the ground, his healing factor battling to keep him conscious.

Through a haze of pain, Izuku moved on reflex, his own fist lancing out in a perfectly-timed cross-counter that crumpled the villain's guard. A volley of punches buckled Overhaul's defenses further, forcing him to stagger back as Izuku regained his feet.

'He's getting slower,' Izuku thought as he launches another Force magic, taking shape of a fist towards Overhaul.

And another, giving no rest and sending him flying back to the wall. A sickening crack is heard as Overhaul's spine shatters under the impact and his shoulder is dislocated.

'Seems like he has a limit and now I've found it,' Izuku thought grimly, the air around him shimmering with thermal haze as he gathered an incandescent corona hotter than the core of a star. Ultraviolet rays seared his exposed skin as the nexus of plasma roared hungrily in his clenched fist. "Game over, doc."

"This isn't over!" Overhaul wheezed, his words a bestial rasp of fury laced with the reek of scorched flesh. "I'll come for you and ev—"

Izuku cut him off, pouring all his power into the terrifying sphere of star-fire before flinging it in a blinding streak directly at the stricken villain. The detonation shook the entire city block in a deafening thunderclap, the searing corona engulfing Overhaul in an apocalyptic blast of heat and light that vaporized the building he stood on in under a millisecond. Vegetation for blocks around instantly incinerated, plumes of greasy black smoke billowing skyward in scorched tendrils that stung Izuku's eyes with acrid fumes.

Moving at super-speed, Izuku conjured cascading waves of supercooled ice to smother any wildfire spread, frost crystallizing over the molten debris in twisted sculptures of warped glass and charcoal. Thankfully no civilians were caught in the blast radius, or it would've been a disaster.

As the choking pall slowly cleared, there was nothing left of the villain except scattered ashes being swept away on the hot winds. Izuku's clothes had been completely burned off, his powerful muscular form covered in a latticework of severe burns weeping fluid and bloody streaks down his tortured flesh. His green hair hung in a matted, soot-stained tangle framing his face as blood flowed freely from his nostrils and split lips to patter on the scorched ground in a crimson drizzle.

But the grievous injuries didn't even seem to register to the young man. He'd endured far worse before, though it had been a while since he'd been this beat up. Right now, his only thought was ensuring that deranged Overhaul hadn't managed to hurt Eri or anyone else.

"How the hell am I gonna explain this?" Izuku muttered through bloodied lips. He could already envision the epic chewing-out he'd get from the detective (and a couple of other people too) in just a few hours.

Before he could think of a cover story, the piercing wail of incoming sirens reached his ears, prompting a frustrated sigh that tasted like copper. Wasting no more time, Izuku tapped into his remaining power reserves for an explosive leap skyward, rapidly putting distance between himself and ground zero.

Luckily, an open window revealed some laundry hung out to dry on a clothesline. Snagging a faded t-shirt with a wide enough neck to pull over his head, Izuku tugged it down to cling to the contours of his muscular torso like a second skin. He followed it with an equally snug pair of faded jeans and some beat-up sneakers - an incongruous ensemble that somehow suited his disheveled, road-worn appearance. If he didn't know better, Izuku might've thought he just raided ALL MIGHT's closet.

Izuku would've left some compensation for the clothes, but alas, not even his wallet is nuke-proof. Instead, he made a mental note of the house's location so he can send a generous amount of money later on.

'Need to find Eri,' was his driving thought as he launched himself back into the air, rocketing towards the Todoroki family's location despite his body's screaming pain. It was a decent distance but he was able to find them easily enough.

"Midoriya?" Shoto's voice rang out, thick with disbelief. "What the hell happened to you?"

Izuku's borrowed shirt and jeans hugged his muscular form like a second skin, the thin fabric straining against the swell of his defined abs and pecs. His disheveled appearance seemed to catch the eye of the young woman with streaks of crimson in her pale hair, a flush of color blooming in her cheeks as she openly gawked before looking sharply away. He flashed her a roguish smirk, milking the reaction.

The amused glint in his eye was instantly quashed by the scorching fury radiating from Endeavor in waves of heat. Izuku met the intimidating man's stare with cool nonchalance, the sickly-sweet stench of burnt flesh and ozone still clinging to his exposed skin.

Little Eri started forward eagerly, likely drawn by some primal need for comfort. But her small steps stuttered to a halt, hazel eyes going wide at the full scope of Izuku's battered, bloodied appearance. Crimson rivulets still seeped sluggishly from his nostrils and split lips, the metallic tang undoubtedly assaulting her senses up close.

Izuku responded with a gentle chuckle, the rough sound somehow reassuring. He closed the distance in measured strides, hissing faintly as the motion tugged at his not-yet-healed wounds hidden beneath the civilian garb. Dropping to one knee, he brought himself face-to-face with the traumatized girl, green eyes crinkling at the corners with a warm, comforting smile. "Hey Eri. You okay? Any injuries?"

His ragged state didn't deter her. With a tiny sniffle, she launched herself at Izuku, clinging to him fiercely. Her small frame shuddered with a tangle of emotions - relief, fear, wonder - as she burrowed against his chest. He wasn't sure if she saw kinship in his wounded form or simply recognized a hero like her TV idols. But one thing was clear - she wanted to stay by his side, sheltered in his shadow.

Izuku reciprocated the embrace without hesitation, gently wrapping his arms around the slight girl and holding her close for grounding seconds. The familiar warmth and softness unlocked a protective tenderness he didn't fully understand. When he finally pulled away, his calloused palm brushed her cheek as he patted her head and ruffled her hair reassuringly. "Hey, I know that was scary as hell for you, huh?" he said softly.

Eri nodded, casting her eyes down as she sniffled again, tiny hands swiping at the tear tracks on her cheeks. When she finally spoke, her voice wavered with unmistakable relief. "Y-Yeah...b-but I'm just glad you came back..."

Those stuttered words struck straight into Izuku's core, plucking heartstrings he hadn't realized were there. A fierce protectiveness bloomed, at odds with his usual cynicism. He felt an overwhelming need to shield this frightened little girl from the world's cruelties - to be the guardian she desperately needed. Her bravery in the face of horror stirred something paternal.

'Screw all the paperwork and fallout,' he thought as the wail of sirens split the air, police cruisers whizzing past towards the smoldering ruins. 'Saving Eri was worth any bureaucratic bullshit coming my way.'

He heaved an inward sigh, recognizing the looming headache. 'Yeah...I'm pretty much fucked, aren't I?'

In Another Part of Town

The air in the dimly lit chamber was thick with a medicinal tang, the faint scent of decay clinging to the shadows. Candlelight flickered, casting long, dancing silhouettes on the walls, revealing glimpses of scattered bones and strange tools. A low drip echoed from somewhere deeper in the gloom, a steady rhythm that seemed to pulse with the flickering flames.

A figure stirred on the floor, rising slowly to a sitting position. It reached out, long fingers brushing against the cold stone, before finally focusing on the object that lay beside it. A bird-like mask, its leather straps and metal beak catching the flickering candlelight. The figure hesitated, then with a sense of purpose, reached out and lifted the mask.

The leather was smooth against its skin, a jarring contrast to the warmth of its touch. It brought the mask to its face, the beak pressing against flesh. For a moment, the figure was still, as if listening to a silent command. Then, with a subtle shift in posture, a newfound confidence seemed to radiate from its form. It was back.

"Ah, to think that it worked," the figure said, trying to gauge his new body. Overall, he found it more the same, though he fantasized how it would've been had he got the Evoker's corpse instead. 'Not that it matters right now. I can always try again. But first...Eri'

Hope you guys liked it! Yeah, I'm thinking Overhaul's going to be a bigger player in the long run of the fic, one of those LOM+MHA types. Figured he's clever enough to find out about it and study it from the MHA verse, despite the masquerade. Unfortunately, had to rewrite it to hell and back, but I liked the result myself. Can't really do that with Muscular for obvious reasons so he's rotting in Tartarus as of the moment and will stay there until further notice.

Enji first thought Overhaul's a regular villain, but after seeing Izuku strugglinghe knew it's above his pay grade and let Izuku handle it.

For the fight, I'm going for one where Izuku gets grounded a bit. He did almost die and he's lucky Overhaul's pretty new to magic himself. He should've called for help from Nana or if not, the Hunters or Weres. But such is an Evoker. They rather put themselves at risk than drag others in it. Him being too confident with his Evoker capabilities could be exploited by people with enough know-how and resources. Low-mid tier that he is right now. Not that it will stay there since he'll soon-ish turn terrifying, but yeah...

Izuku will be talking about this with Shoto later on and from that, a conversation with Fuyumi will happen, but for now, let's leave it at that.

Best of all, Eri getto! Best daughter (as of yet) in the series is here! He'll have a lot to explain to everyone.

As always, let me know if you have questions or feedback.
