"Falling In Love With You All Over Again. "
Tori and Andre have dinner out for Valentine's Day, and were glad to have Cat and Robbie watch their twin children.
AN: Hey all. Back with another chapter, so sorry it took so long. I have three more prompts coming up, and then I will be closing this story, but I will have another story prompt fic coming soon. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
Robbie and Cat are in their house with Robbie, and their son Tony relaxing on the couch, watching TV. Cat's brother, Kit, is out for the evening, so at the moment it's just the three of them. Robbie perks up when he smells the food coming from the kitchen as Cat comes in with a plate of pizza rolls. She places the plate on the coffee table, and Robbie sits up moving towards the snack.
"Ooh, you made snacks for us?"
"No, they're for the kids." Cat explains.
"What kids?" Robbie asks.
"Tori and Andre's twins. They're coming over while the two of them go out to dinner."
"Charlotte and Allen are coming over?" Tony asked, excited.
"Yeah Buddy, looks like we have company for movie night. I hope they don't mind watching "Gremlins"."
"No! Robbie, they're only five. They can't watch something like that."
"Alright, "Minions" it is then." Robbie said.
"Better."
Soon after everything was set up, there was a knock at the door, and Cat went to let her friends inside. Tori and Andre stepped in the doorway, with their twins Charlotte and Allen making their way to the living room. The twins immediately join Tony, eating the pizza rolls, Andre sat and talked to Robbie for a bit, while Tori was talking to Cat at the door.
"Are you guys sure this is okay? I feel like I'm taking your Valentine's Day away."
Cat grabbed Tori's shoulders, turning to face her.
"Tori, I swear it's okay. We talked about this, remember? My parents are coming this weekend, so we already planned our dinner with them."
Tori sighed. "Okay, well if you're sure."
"I'm sure. Besides, it makes Tony happy to have the company. You and Andre go have a good time. We'll be okay here."
"Thanks Cat. You're the best." Tori said, giving her friend a hug.
Tori knelt down to talk to the twins, who were half way through the pizza rolls already, before making her way out.
"Okay, you two be on your best behavior tonight, and we'll see you later. Have fun."
"We love you, Mommy." Charlotte said, as she and her brother got up to hug their mother.
Tori squeezed her little ones tight, laying kisses on both of them, and exchanging 'I love you's before leaving with Andre to begin their evening.
Andre parks the car, and comes to the other side to take Tori's hand while they walk inside the restaurant. The hostess seats them at their table, with Tori and Andre watching the live band set up. They are once again going to see Andre's friend, Ricky play a gig. Ricky walks out on stage, setting his bass on the stand when he sees his two friends, and comes over to greet them.
"Hey Man, how ya doin'?" Ricky said, shaking Andre's hand.
"Good, good. How are you?" Andre replies.
Ricky greets Tori with a hug, and the three of them sit at the table. He talked with them about their marriage, and how he was happy to know them since they first started dating. They also talked to him about the kids, and how it was hard to believe that they were five already. It's crazy how much time has passed, and none of them could believe how much has changed for them since highschool. Ricky has been more successful with his band, and they are being booked for bigger gigs that fill the place up. Andre congratulated Ricky for his band's success, before he joined the rest of them on stage.
Even with the house lights down, and only a lit candle on their table, Andre could still see the smile on his wife's face. This was their first night out without the kids in a long time, and as much as they loved being parents, it was nice to have a break for one night. Andre always adored seeing Tori's beautiful smile, and loved to hear her laugh. Anytime he was stressed, and worried about how he was going to finish a song or he worried about where his career was going to go next, Tori's smile and her compassion always melted away his fears.
Tori and Andre were brought their appetizers, and the restaurant staff were handing out roses to all of the women in attendance. As the band started, the two of them cheered along with the crowd, while their first song was upbeat, and had many couples up on the dancefloor. Andre wanted to focus on enjoying Tori's company, and to be able to talk as people.
"Have I told you how happy I am for us to be here right now?" Andre asked.
"Yeah, it's really nice here, and Ricky's band sounds amazing."
"Well yeah, that's all great, but also I mean us. We've been married for eight years now, and…" Andre smiles while taking a deep breath. "... I feel lucky to have the relationship that we do."
Tori reaches across the table, squeezing his arm.
"I feel lucky, too."
Andre takes Tori's hand in his, and kisses her fingers.
"I want us to be able to keep being us, even with the twins in our lives. Don't get me wrong, Charlotte and Allen are everything to me, and I am so grateful to our children, but I want us to still have this amazing connection. You're my best friend, and I love you."
Tori leaned across the table, pressing a deep kiss on his lips, and stayed there leaning on his forehead.
"I love you, too, and I love having you as my best friend. I also want to keep being who we are now."
"Let's promise to have a date night to ourselves at least once a week. Just to talk about anything we want." Andre proposed.
"I like that Idea."
Soon the band was nearly finished with the first half of their set, but not before playing a very special song.
"Thanks Y'all. We'd like to dedicate this next song to our friends Andre and Tori who are here tonight, and have been our biggest supporters since we first started out. Give them a big hand, everybody." The band leader said, and everyone clapped.
"Tori, Andre, we want to thank you for believing in us, and congratulate you on many happy years together. I know the two of you will know this next song."
The band started to play the song, "Can't Help Falling In Love" by Elvis Presley, and they recognized it as the song they danced to at their wedding. Tori smiled brightly as Andre made his way to her side of the table, reaching for her hand.
"May I have this dance?"
"Always." Tori said, following him out to the middle of the floor.
Andre pulled Tori in closer, while she leaned her forehead on his, and they swayed back and forth being transported back to that special day. The day Andre and Tori joined their family and friends to officially say "I do." and join their lives together. Andre can still remember how nervous he was when he decided to ask Tori to hang out so he could finally tell her he liked her, and how excited he was when Tori told him she liked him back. Andre stares lovingly into his wife's soft, brown eyes, the same eyes that both of their children have, and he couldn't imagine anything being more beautiful. At the same time, Tori stares back at the one man who has made her feel safe and loved all these years, and she doesn't know what she'd do without him. After all this time, Andre is still the same compassionate, driven, and kind man that Tori fell in love with. He is a wonderful father, and the best friend she could ever ask for. When the song ended, Tori and Andre noticed the whole place watching them while clapping, and Tori laughed while Andre pulled her in for a deep kiss.
The evening continued while they enjoyed the rest of the band's set, and Tori and Andre shared a strawberry shortcake for dessert. By the end, they thanked Ricky and the rest of the band for the good time, and for playing their wedding song for them as they made their way back to Robbie and Cat's house to pick up their little ones.
By the time the second movie was over, Charlotte, Allen, and Tony were all asleep in blankets on the floor, while Cat and Robbie were cuddled together under a blanket sharing what was left of popcorn. Cat's head was resting on Robbie's shoulder, while they watched the last ten minutes of the movie. The kids had a great time tonight, sharing pizza rolls and laughing along to the movie, enjoying any moment when the Minions would chatter to each other. Even though their Valentine's Day was spent with three five year olds, it was still an evening Cat and Robbie got to spend together. Right now they were enjoying this quiet moment, while the kids were asleep.
"I really had fun tonight." Cat said.
"Yeah, me too." Robbie said, pressing a kiss on top of her head.
Cat snuggled closer to him, wrapping an arm around his midsection as her eyes started to flutter shut. Robbie could sit there, and watch Cat sleep all night if he had to, but Tori and Andre would be on their way soon for the kids, so he couldn't let her fall asleep too much. As if on cue, Tori and Andre came quietly in the front door, smiling at their little one asleep in front of the TV.
"Hi, how were they?" Tori whispered.
"They were great. How was your evening?" Cat asked.
"It was perfect." Tori said, as she grabbed one twin and Andre took the other.
Andre shook Robbie's hand, thanking the two of them once again for babysitting, before loading the kids in the car. On the ride home, Tori kept looking back at their two perfect angels asleep in their carseats, as she sat next to her husband, taking in a breath and smiling when he took her hand. This was the best Valentine's Day the two have had in a long time, and no amount of money or fame that they could wish for could give them the happiness they are feeling right now.
