Hello again! :) Welcome once again to Version Two of my fanfiction series, The Long Series: Version 2. :)
For months to a year it seems, I stepped away from this version of the Long Series and put it on permanent hiatus, or so I thought as this fanfic series came up in my thoughts yet again. With all the spiritual awakening process, I didn't know if I would come back to this version of my fanfic series. But here we are! So, is it possible for fanfics on permanent hiatus to return? Well, this version of my fanfic series is. So, here we are. :)
With this particular fanfic, especially with this Prologue, I was nervous about how readers would take to it. It's a very strange Prologue sequence, which was inspired by the TV show, "Outlander," actually, which involved strange events inside a house. It intrigued me so much that I wrote this Prologue with revelations that will add up to what happened before in the previous fanfics.
As for this version, and once I get it reposted and cross-posted on here and on AO3, will tell a more complete storyline. With that said, enjoy. :)
Prologue:
Revelation
Ronnie Baggins walked down a hallway with white painted walls and some lilac green walls painted underneath the windows of the house he was staying at. The whole atmosphere felt… well, it felt off to him. It was almost as if he'd been to this house before, which had lots of dishes decked out in cabinets, while a large dining table had been set up in a grand dining room.
For a moment, Ronnie thought he was at Bag End, and rightfully so, for he looked like Frodo Baggins. But how was this possible? For him to look like Frodo and yet, still have his own personality. That was the thing that separated Ronnie from Frodo, their personalities. Without that, they would have resembled each other.
But now that Ronnie was in this spacious dining room, with the kitchen and entrance hall towards his left, Ronnie could see so many figures sitting at the dining room table, looking just like him and Frodo… well, more like Frodo anyway.
The hobbits' names were as follows: Tobias, Terrence Dooley, Delphi, Dalpha, Andalis, Andalas, Ronnie himself as his perception, and Elijah Molvaro. Parker Dooley was there, too, as was Maranguan. They were all there with their wives… well, granted, Elijah was there with his girlfriend Amethyst, but Ronnie couldn't believe that the men, the hobbits here, including Parker and Maranguan, looked exactly alike.
Parker and Maranguan weren't even hiding their dragonoid forms, which they became Frodo in their hobbit forms. A single tear nearly shed down Ronnie's face at the thought of how many lookalikes there were of Frodo Baggins. Was Ronnie even meant to exist? What was going on?
For a moment, Ronnie saw Frodo walk past him. Just seeing Frodo turn into an orc was scary to experience. Ronnie did not want to be here when Frodo's transformation into an orc was complete.
"Wait! Don't go!" Tobias stood up, approaching Ronnie and admitting to him. "Hullo Ronnie. Did you miss me? I know, it seems strange that I'm here, with you right now."
"No!" Ronnie pointed an index finger at him, saying to Tobias, "No, man! You're dead! Aren't you?"
Tobias cackled, and then laughed as he patted Ronnie's back, drawing him over to Elijah Molvaro in an instant. "You may not have noticed, but Elijah Molvaro is my descendant, but he's also me."
"What do you mean?" Ronnie asked, cautious.
Tobias cackled, saying to Ronnie, "Elijah is me. I'm reincarnated as Elijah Molvaro. His girlfriend, Amethyst, is Janet reincarnated as well. They're supposed to be together. Janet is my wife. If you see Amethyst's features, you'll know she looks like Janet, who looks like Eretria. Funny little world, isn't it?" Tobias smirked, loving his surroundings.
"I don't understand. Am I not supposed to exist?" Ronnie asked him, cautious now.
Tobias chuckled. "This wasn't how it was all supposed to fall down. You see, Frodo started this. You would think the author began this tale. No. Where do you think the story's idea came from? It came from Frodo. Just something to think about, the next time you see him." He walked away, leaving Ronnie in a desolate state of mind.
"Frodo started this," Ronnie said, bewildered. "Frodo… started this… Frodo started this." All sounds overwhelmed him. He fell asleep, waking up in a whole new world.
Yes, that was very strange, but it brought up so much in such a short chapter. :) Other chapters will be longer, of course. :)
As for Ronnie, where will he be? Who will he meet along the way? And where did Frodo go?
For now, thanks for reading. :) More to come. :)
