"What if the Purple in this dimension is being worshipped by Monoliths?" Victim suggested. "It could explain why we haven't found a trace of him."
"Yeah, but...if they took him, where did they go?"
"Good...question..."
Maroon suddenly noticed the shaking ground beneath them.
"Guys...?"
King tugged Purple closer. "What's going on?"
"Victim, there's an entire beast out there!" One of the agents screamed form outside.
"Fuck."
"Is that another dimension?!" Another screamed.
"Another dimension?"
"It's gotta be Purple's! Come on, guys! We've got dimensions to save!" Maroon declared, running out of the room with the others close behind.
Right before he was roughly thrown into the others by an unseen force, and Purple's vision failed again.
"Heaven of the what?!" Maroon snapped, already backing up into the trees, staring at Victim.
"It's...it's Latin. It's the translation from the Latin phrase "Coelum Carnis". But, for our sakes, we just call them Monoliths."
"No shit we call them Monoliths, that shit is fucking huge!"
"Moving forward, are we going to do something and stop it?!" Victim snapped.
"I say we run."
"Vic, can we even kill those?" King asked. "Their legs look dense."
"We don't have much of a chance of killing those. If Purple figured anything out, if any of these monsters are like the ones he's facing, then he might have an idea, but that's if he's either still alive or found a way out."
"We could set it on fire?" Maroon suggested.
"Where are we going to get enough flammable items and a source to burn something like that?!" Victim asked.
"Flour?" King suggested.
"Oh yes, we just...we rob the local supermarket for all their flour!" Maroon said.
"I can't tell if your agreeing or expressing sarcasm."
"...It was both."
"Whatever. King and Maroon, you two get as much flour as you can. I'll find a large amount of fire starter."
The first thing Purple noticed when he'd regained consciousness was the lush green grass under him.
"Wait a sec-"
"Owww...what the-why is everything green and...not-apocalypse...whatever. Why is everything so pre-Silver?" Maroon groaned.
"Because we're in my dimension and not yours?"
"Oh. Wait-!"
"GET DOWN!" Victim screamed. Purple tackled Maroon out of the way as a large group of fleshy balls scurried past.
"What the fuck is that?!"
"Trimmings."
"King, that's a skinned raccoon, and you know it." Maroon snapped.
"Mar, they're called Trimmings. Call them skinned raccoons all you want, but that's a Trimming."
"Whatever they are, it looks like they don't just belong to your dimension. And Silver certainly didn't release them here."
"Maybe they escape through the portal when it opened earlier." Victim suggested.
Maroon suddenly looked up, freezing at the sight.
"Guys?"
The other three followed his gaze to the towering creature high in the sky.
"Holy shit."
"Purple, that's a Monolith."
"And they're THAT BIG?!" Purple snapped.
"...Yeah. I told you they were big!"
"THAT BIG?!"
"Could've been a little more specific, Mar."
"It can be big all it wants, but it's destroying the city!"
An explosion rang out above them.
"Oh, great. The Mimics have learned how to make fire." Maroon groaned. "Nobody's safe anymore!"
Purple shot to his feet to get a better look. "Mar, that's not a Mimic. That's this worlds King and Maroon."
"Wait, so...that's your King?!" Victim asked.
"Yep."
"Well, we better get to them. It's only a matter of time before they learn that almost nothing can stop the Monoliths."
It wasn't the flour, or any of their fire starters that was the problem, it was the fact that none of them realized that Monoliths...couldn't be set on fire and have decent amounts of damage done.
And King learned that relatively quick when the Monolith didn't even stop moving in it's bloody rampage.
"VIC, DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING?!" Maroon screamed.
"NO!"
"Shit, shit, shit! Now what do we do?!"
Victim glanced back down at the ground, suddenly noticing something. "King! Your gonna wanna see this!"
King followed his gaze to the ground.
"Is that..."
Was it really?
"It's Purple!"
"WHAT?!" Maroon screamed. "How?! How is he-?!"
"Maybe save the questions for later." King snapped, returning his gaze to the child on the ground.
"Who'd he bring with him?"
"Maybe some friends from the dimension they transported him to?"
"Hopefully."
Purple was a few seconds away from climbing the building to get to King and the others on top, but the Monoliths colossal footsteps stopped him.
"They know we're here, we've just got to let them know that they can't burn it!"
Purple thought for a moment before getting an idea.
"King, your gonna help me on this. We're gonna explain the situation and give them a better idea from down here."
"How?"
"You have arms, don't you?"
"Ah. I see what you mean."
"WE CAN'T SET THIS SHIT ON FIRE!" Maroon shouted down to Purple, earning him a slap on the arm.
"I think he gets the point."
Purple made a few gestures with his arms.
"What is he on about?"
"He's telling us that the Monolith's skin is too thick for us to burn or injure it and get a good amount of damage done." Victim explained.
"Ohhhh."
Purple made a gesture familiar to Victim. "Is that a rope?"
"I think he's telling us to tie down it's arms!" King said.
"How the fuck can you two understand him?!"
"One, he's my adoptive son. Two, it's not that hard."
"Oh, fuck you."
"Victim, get some rope."
"Think we got them?"
"Yeah, we got them."
"Perfect."
"Now what?"
"Simple. We distract it long enough for them to tie up it's arm...things, whatever the hell they are."
"How?"
"Well, it's either we climb a building and jump onto it's head or run around at it's feet screaming like a bunch of toddlers at daycare. Take your pick."
"Dibs on the running around like toddlers!" Maroon shouted.
"Mar."
"I'm not climbing on that thing's head! That shit is way too tall for any of us!"
"Uhm...I don't think Purple cares." Victim said.
Purple grabbed one of the monsters tendrils, trying to climb up as best as he could.
"Oh, shit."
Purple's plan went about as well as it could go.
He was able to reach the beast's stomach, but the Monolith did make numerous attempts to try and grab him before King and Maroon were able to detain one of it's sides with a lasso.
Purple made another attempt to continue climbing up the creatures upper body, stopping at the chest, where a heart should be.
Instead of flesh, there was a thick, transparent coating, and from what he could see, there wasn't any vital organs any species would need to survive.
There was someone in there.
Upon taking a closer look, Purple's heart dropped at the realization he'd made.
That was his alternate self in there.
"PURPLE, LOOK OUT!"
One of the appendages from the Monolith's other side, which the alternate versions of his friends had been unable to get, attempted to swing at him, but Purple was faster. He grabbed another fistful of flesh on the opposite side of the transparent center, attempting to grab onto the arm King and the others had already tied up.
"Come on, come on..gotcha!" Purple climbed onto the arm, catching a windowsill about fifteen feet from the arm.
"Okay, here we go."
One of the appendages swung at him again, and Purple jumped for the building. His hand was barely able to grab onto the windowsill, and used his other hand to bang against the glass. If he was lucky, he'd be able to break into the building and climb onto the roof.
Unfortunately, the Monolith had other plans, slamming into the building, causing Purple to lose grip.
"Shit!"
King and the others couldn't watch for long as the Monolith slammed into the wall, sending Purple flying to the ground below, before they were swung off the building by the bound appendages of the beast. It threw them to the ground in front of the alternate sticks.
"Holy shit, King! There's another me!"
"There's another...AH! King, there's another me!" Maroon screamed, hiding behind his friend.
"There's another of all of us, idiot. Where's Purple?!"
"We all saw him get curb-stomped," The alternate Victim said. "You think we know where he went?!"
"Oh, for the love of-!"
"King, look!"
Purple grabbed onto Victim's lasso just before he'd hit the ground.
"Yes! Go Purple!"
Purple tried keeping a grip on the rope even as the Monoliths swung the bound appendages around.
The two King's shared a glance.
"Shit."
Purple's gaze landed on them. "King! There's another Purple in there! We've gotta get him out-"
The Monolith swung the bound appendages at another building, sending Purple flying into the abandoned and destroyed building.
"Shit!"
"Purple!"
