King and the others couldn't watch for long as the Monolith slammed into the wall, sending Purple flying to the ground below, before they were swung off the building by the bound appendages of the beast. It threw them to the ground in front of the alternate sticks.

"Holy shit, King! There's another me!"

"There's another...AH! King, there's another me!" Maroon screamed, hiding behind his friend.

"There's another of all of us, idiot. Where's Purple?!"

"We all saw him get curb-stomped," The alternate Victim said. "You think we know where he went?!"

"Oh, for the love of-!"

"King, look!"

Purple grabbed onto Victim's lasso just before he'd hit the ground.

"Yes! Go Purple!"

Purple tried keeping a grip on the rope even as the Monoliths swung the bound appendages around.

The two King's shared a glance.

"Shit."

Purple's gaze landed on them. "King! There's another Purple in there! We've gotta get him out-"

The Monolith swung the bound appendages at another building, sending Purple flying into the abandoned and destroyed building.

"Shit!"

"Purple!"

It took them a while before the coast was clear for them to actually search for Purple, without the constant threat of being squashed like ants under the feet of a nearly 400 foot tall creature destroying their city.

Victim had taken the time to actually contact his agents at Rocket Corp. so that they could start evacuating the city before anyone else got killed. They'd have to find a way to reverse the effects with the technology they had, but that was another story.

Getting the Monoliths taken care of was their top priority.

"King! I found him!" Maroon shouted from behind them, pulling a conscious and alive Purple out of the opening of a building. He was dazed and very out of it, but he was alive.

"Purple!"

Oh, thank God those stupid monsters didn't kill him.

Mar carefully led Purple down from the pile of debris he'd almost been suffocated under where King immediately grabbed him.

"Purple, hey!"

Purple glanced at him for a brief moment before his eyes flickered.

Recognition.

"King!"

Purple flung himself into King's arms, hugging him tightly.

"Purple! Oh, thank God your alive! You had us worried sick!"

Purple hugged him tighter. "I'm sorry..."

"Hey, Purple, sweetheart, it's not your fault. I don't know whose fault it is...probably the bastards who threw a bunch of giant monsters into Purple world, but it sure as hell isn't yours. I promise."

Purple hugs him tighter. "I'm so glad your alright."

"Yeah, me too, kid. Me too.."

Another colossal footstep interrupted the group.

"Purple, your gonna give us a recap, right?" Maroon asked, already backing up behind Victim.

"Basically, their dimension had some twisted screwed over ending to the fight with Silver than this dimension, and Silver released a bunch of these bitches all over the dimension."

"So the UFO people weren't far off when they said you were probably monster food?"

"...Essentially."

"And somehow, all these monsters ended up here?"

"Yeah. It was probably the people who transported me to the other dimension and attacked the city earlier."

"So where does the other person you told us about come into this?" Maroon asked. "You said there was a person inside the giant...Monolith thingy just before it threw you into that building."

"Yeah, about that...that's the other Purple."

The adults stared at him.

"There's another YOU!?"

"There's a copy of all three of us right there, Mar," King said. "You should've expected there to be another Purple."

"Either way, why is it inside the giant fucking monster that probably destroyed my corn dog stand?!"

"Mar! Chill!"

"...Sorry."

The alternate Victim stared at the Monoliths. "I think there can be a logical explanation for why our Purple is there."

"How?"

"When Silver blew the base up, Purple might have escaped the cage and gone outside the base, probably through a window, or Agent was able to get the cage on lockdown quick enough before the base exploded. Purple might've escaped out another way, because most of the technology inside the base, including Agent's bands, went offline for a brief period, turning the cages off.

"The Monoliths also need something to protect. In the backstory Silver had from the documentary the creatures came from, the seven known Monoliths surround something known as the Singularity."

"But if they were pulled out of the video and brought into reality like all the other monsters...shouldn't the Singularity have been brought in as well?"

"The Singularity is about a meter in diameter, and also a giant black orb."

"No, King's right," Purple said. "The Singularity should have come with the others if they were just pulled from the video."

"So then...why hasn't it done anything?"

"Maybe someone else...took it? Like the UFO-fakes?"

"Whatever they are, they must have it if the Monoliths have our Purple inside of it's chest."

"The problem is, we need to get the Singularity and get Purple out of there...without getting killed."

"Maybe...we get Purple in there...and the rest of us can both distract the Monolith and find the Singularity, if it made it out with the others."

"How do you expect to get me up there?" Purple asked.

"...We just tie one of your Victim's lassos around two street poles and catapult you up there?"

"Yeah, slingshot me up there. How in the name of hell are you going to get enough strength to get me all the way up there?"

"Uhm...we'll figure something out."

Maroon's brilliant idea involved stretching the lassos as far back as Victim allowed them to go before letting go.

"Brilliant idea, Mar. No wonder you sell corn dogs." King grumbled.

"We got him there!...Right?"

Purple had made it to the creature's torso, but wasn't able to be thrown straight into the transparent coating. Instead, he'd been launched closer to the creature's right arm, but was able to grab a fistful of flesh to keep himself from falling a very long distance to the ground.

King flinched.

"Come on, kid..."

Purple was, from his position, also very easily able to climb closer to the torso and break through the transparent coating, climbing inside and shooting a thumbs up to the group.

"Yes! He made it!"

"Now, all we have to do is find the Singularity and get it to the Monoliths."

"How do we do that?"

"Well...I don't know."

"We've got to find the people who started this entire mess. Where'd they go?"

"Last time we saw them, they had me and Mar captured and thrown into a cell...somewhere."

"It wasn't too far from here, so they've gotta be around here somewhere."

"Like there?" The alternate King said, pointing to the roof of a high building.

Sure enough, the three sticks who had started the entire disaster were standing on a roof, watching the Monolith with intense fascination.

One of them had a lasso in their hand.

"Oh, shit-"

Purple seemed to have seen it too, since his attention was on the three sticks as well.

One of the sticks shot a lasso at him, seemingly noticing him. The other two had their attention turned to King's tiny group, so making any sudden movements wasn't a death wish.

"PURPLE, LOOK OUT!" Maroon screamed. The other two started sending lassos in their direction, sending the group of five running.

"They're gonna capture us!"

"Shut up, Mar! They could kill us!"

"God, our alternate selves sure are paranoid." Maroon muttered.

"Hey, their Purple's been gone since the entire Silver incident. It doesn't really surprise me."

"Still."

"Mar-"

"Fine."

"Look out!" Victim shouted. One of the villains had given chase.

King hopped the fence into the park, dodging a ray.

"Your not getting away that easily!"

"And your not making me go through what you put my kid through!"

"Oh, please! That's your kid?" The figure snapped, laughing a little bit. "How absurd that you, of all people, was able to raise such a suicidal brat!"

"Purple is not suicidal, asshole!"

"What makes you say that? He has razor knives and box cutters! Blades for the knives! And your saying he isn't suicidal?"

"Yeah, I am! He used those to save our asses from certain death! Why in hell would someone like him want to die?!"

Maroon, from what King could see, had taken the altercation as a distraction, and was being helped into the small ship by Victim and the alternate Maroon.

"Because his shit dad? His dead mom? His lack of a family?"

"That "brat" you speak of is my adoptive son." King snapped. "And, do you really think that those stopped him?"

Maroon raised his hands, one of them wrapped around a tight fist, and brought it down on the girl's head. "King, get in! We're gonna get the kids out of there!"

King wasted no time in climbing in, moving the girl's unconscious body. "Why?!"

"Simple. Victim thinks Silver made some adjustments to the creature's abilities. The Monoliths are sucking out their energy. If they're in there any longer, both Purple's are going to die."
