"Hey, Yellow! Wake up!" Chosen whispered as he shook Yellow awake.
"What...? What's...going on?"
"Hey, I need your help testing the communicator. It's done, but i need to make sure it works. So, wake King and the others, and let's make sure it works."
Yellow groaned. "Fine."
Stepping out of bed he noted how late it was. Barely after 3am and Chosen was still awake and working.
"Wake the others and get to King's palace," Chosen said, walking out of Yellow's room. "If we're gonna find a way to communicate with them, that's the best way."
Yellow stared at him blankly.
Chosen sighed. "And if we're lucky, they'll be physical apparitions."
Yellow's eyes brightened. "Yes!"
"The day of what now?" Second asked incredulously.
"The day of Surrection," Victim said. "If deceased have a mission in mind, they return to life for a certain period of time to complete that mission. Completion of the mission will result in permanent resurrection.
"Sounds fake."
"It does, but it's true," Victim pointed to the artists depiction of the Surrection Portal. "This is known as the Surrection Portal. It's how ghosts get from Heaven and back. It's a long ways away, which is why barely anyone believes it, but if we can get you guys there before sunrise on June 12th, it might work."
"How would we get there?" Purple asked.
"Gold's a pretty smart kid, which you two probably know why, so he can get you there."
Gold in question was waving around a small box. "What are you on about?" Victim asked.
"I'm picking up communication waves." Gold said simply.
"Communication waves? Why?" Orchid asked.
Seconds eyes widened with realization. "The others in the real world! They might be trying to contact us!" He exclaimed.
"How?" Gold asked.
"Let's just say we've got some pretty smart people on our team." Second smirked. "Where are they coming from?"
"They're coming from...just outside the town." Gold said, walking towards the door. "And if it this your friends, you've gotta hurry. These commutation waves don't last forever, and I doubt they're communicator does either."
Chosen got the last bit of the communicator working as the others waited in anticipation.
"Is it done yet?" Green asked tiredly. "I was rudely awoken at 3 in the morning for this."
"Speak louder, Green. Second and Purple need to hear you to have an actual conversation with them." Chosen said.
"Will this work." King asked hopefully.
"If we're lucky. Double lucky if they're physical." Chosen said, half ignoring the question. "And got it! We should be fully operational, Yellow!"
Yellow jumped off what King could conclude as a ray before Chosen pushed a few buttons, and a ray was blasted out of the machine.
Everyone ducked for cover while it aimed at the center of the palace.
"YES! IT'S WORKING!" Chosen exclaimed happily.
King suddenly heard voices clamoring over each other, and none of them sounded like the kids he was slowly growing attached to.
"Is that...wait a second, it can't be! CHOSEN?!"
The group fell silent, staring at the physical apparitions of the slightly larger group of sticks as soon as they came into view when the smoke cleared.
"...Someone gonna tell me who the other three are?" Chosen asked, noticing everyone seemed to be frozen.
To say Purple was stunned was a complete understatement. He was too frozen to do pretty much anything.
Gold communication waves and Second's theory had led them straight to King and the others, and he wasn't sure how to feel about that.
On one side, he felt happy to see King and the others again, but he also didn't think King wanted to see him.
Not after what had unfolded before this all happened.
"Uhm...is this logically possible cause we just fell through a portal!" Victim snapped, looking at Gold.
"Why are you asking me?! I was just following the communication waves!" Gold spluttered.
"Now we know why he and King and related." Second mumbled.
Gold and Victim continued to bicker until Chosen spoke. "Uh...are you another hollowhead?"
Victim looked at him. "Yeah...?"
Chosen smiled. "Cool! Nice to meet another fellow hollowhead!"
Second stared at him. "What are you doing here?!"
"Obviously curing depression cause I've been stuck with these morons for almost 2 days!...when I was technically only supposed to be checking on you because I sensed something was wrong."
"Well, you sensed right. I've been chased by a Warden, almost starved to death in a desert, got disintegrated by a giant laser beam, and I've been stuck dealing with God knows what those creatures up there are!"
"We don't know either!" Orchid said.
"You beat the living crap out of one!" Victim snapped.
"And that means something?!" Orchid snapped back.
"Yes, it does!"
"No, it doesn't!"
"Yes!"
"No!"
Red snapped back into reality as soon as he saw Second. "SEC!"
He immediately ran up and hugged him. "Your alive!"
"Well, not really alive, but I'm here."
"It still counts! And you'll be alive eventually!"
"Yeah, in like, 5 days. As soon as we make it to the Surrection Portal, we'll be alive for real."
"But what mission would they complete?" Chosen asked.
Less then a minute later, part of the wall and ceiling collapsed on Purple and the others.
"PURPLE!" King screamed.
As the others wondered what the crash was, King worried about Purple.
"What the hell was that?!" Green yelled.
"Now, don't get snappy with me, kid. Your lucky to be alive unlike your friends."
Green silenced his next sentence as the deity came into light, and they all froze.
"HERORBINE?!"
