Second groaned and opened his eyes.
Being blinded by the whiteness of the area, he squinted them back shut.
"Purple?" He asked tiredly. Purple looked up at him, then at Dark.
"Are we...dead again?" Dark asked, his voice breaking ever so slightly. "Did we fail the mission?"
Second stared between them.
"Did I fail Chosen?"
"Quite the opposite, Dark. You all, have in face, completed the mission."
Second, Purple, and Dark all whipped their heads towards the voice, finding Victim floating above them.
"So are you...like, God now?" Dark asked jokingly.
"No, but I am here to inform you that you have completed the mission. Your are allowing to return to life and return home."
The trio looked at each other with happiness.
"WE DID IT!" Dark exclaimed, hugging Second and Purple, who both gladly returned the gesture.
It was then that Purple realized how much he actually meant to King now. How devastated he probably was right now.
He'd be able to hug him and tell him he wasn't going anywhere.
He wasn't going anywhere.
By this point, King had been inconsolable at the loss of Purple, for the second time, too.
The poor guy hadn't stopped sobbing since they had all disappeared, and nobody knew what to do.
"King, it's gonna be okay..."
"No the fuck it isn't!" King snapped, his eyes filling with tears once more. "Purple's gone! The kid that means so fucking much to me is dead!"
Chosen sighed sadly. "Dark's gone too."
Suddenly, the air was filled with orange, red, and purple particles.
"What the.."
And then those particles started forming stick figures.
One of those floated down into King's arms.
"Purple...Purple!"
Purple slowly opened his eyes. "K...King?"
King hugs him so tightly he fears he might've crushed his ribs. "Oh, Purple, thank goodness."
Purple hugs him back, smiling softly.
"I thought I lost you!" King sobs.
"It's okay. I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere. I promise."
King presses his forehead to Purple's, still sobbing. "I love you so much, Purple. Your everything to me."
Purple's smile softens even more. "I love you too."
When Dark rematerializes, Chosen tackles him into a tight embrace.
"Dark! Your okay! Oh, thank Alan, I thought I had lost you for good!"
Dark holds Chosen as he cries. "I am so fucking sorry, Cho. I didn't mean for any of that to happen."
As Chosen calms down a little, he pulls away from the red stick and holds his hand. "It's okay, Dark. I know you didn't mean any harm to anyone. I'm just so glad your safe. I've been worried sick about you."
Dark smiles through tears. "Thank you." He whispers.
Chosen hugs him again. "I forgive you, Dark. You saved me."
Dark smiles, returning the hug. "Your important to me. Hell, your one of the most important things to me in this world. I'm not losing you."
Chosen tightens his hold. "I love you."
"I love you, too."
When Second materializes, hugs and tears are shared instantly as his four closest friends bombard him.
"Thank Alan your alive!"
"We were so worried!"
"Never do something like that again! You scared us half to death!"
"We thought we lost you!"
Second leans into the embrace, smiling.
Green breaks free to shake Second furiously. "NEVER DO THAT AGAIN! I SWEAR TO ALAN, WE COULD'VE LOST YOU FOREVER!"
Second knows it's out of love. He can sense the tint of great relief in his voice.
"I'm sorry I let you guys down...abandoning you like that was just as stupid. I'm sorry."
"Sec, you had no other choice. It was the only way to save Minecraft. You did the right thing."
"But...I couldn't protect you guys. I could've prevented all of this if I had protected all of you."
Green hugs him tighter. "You don't have to protect us all the time. We'll all be okay. All of us."
Second returns the hug, letting everyone else join the embrace.
"We love you, Second. We always will."
Second barely realized tears fell down his cheeks, but refused to acknowledge them.
"I love you all, too."
Suddenly, a blinding light fills the middle of the lake.
Everyone watches, beyond confused.
Purple breaks from King's embrace and walks towards the cliffside, watching the light intently.
"Great work, Purple." The sound of his moms voice fills the area.
Purple is caught off guard by hearing his mom, but he's still happy to hear her.
"Mom?"
Orchid made her grand appearance. "I'm proud of you, Purple. You've made so much progress since I last saw you."
Purple smiles. "I know one person in particular who's grown me into the person I am."
He shares a glance with King, who smiles tearfully.
"King? But...he killed you."
"That doesn't mean anything. He may have killed me, but he didn't mean to. I didn't realize he saw Gold in me, but I do now. I mean everything to him, and I always have."
Orchid smiles at King. "Thank you for protecting my son for me."
King walks forward and holds Purple's hand in his. "He's my kid. It's my job to protect him."
Orchid smiles and hugs Purple one more time. Looking at King, she says, "Protect Purple for me?"
King hold Purple closer. "I will."
Orchid smiles and disappears in another blinding light.
Nobody knows what to do for a while, as they sit and stare at the sunset that came with the amazing sight.
"So...we just saw a ghost?" Red asked.
"Dude, the three of us were ghosts! You've seen plenty in the past week!" Second snapped playfully.
"Oh yeah, I forgot."
"How did you forget?!"
"Sorry, Purple just demolished what we could classify as a God, so...yeah I forgot you guys were ghosts for a second."
"I hate you."
"I know you do!" Red countered back.
"I was joking!"
"I know!"
Second glared at him.
"Can we not argue, please? After all, we have to explain to Alan what the hell just happened."
"So how do we explain that Purple and Second basically died on us, we went to war in the Nether, the Chosen One showed up to save the day, the freaking Dark Lord showed up, and Purple basically destroyed a literal Minecraft God with a stick."
"It was a staff and you know it!" Yellow snapped.
"Oh, shut up, TNT launcher!" Red shot back.
"Can we PLEASE go home so I can explain to Alan that I'm NOT dead?!" Second demanded.
"Fine." Green said.
"We can go home."
