Chapter 1: The Bandit King
Hey everyone I'm here with a new story. Now I've been working on an Elena of Avalor idea for a while now and I'm happy to say I finally figured it out. I hope you like what I have planned. Please Review and Enjoy.
We find ourselves in a large kingdom as the sun was going down, and as the people went about their lives we move towards the castle.
At the gates, we see multiple guards stationed at the door.
As one examined the contents of the cart a small figure approached them.
"Who goes there?" The guard asks readying his spear.
"Uh excuse me sir?" Slowly coming into the light we see a little boy around 11 years old with a hood over his head. "Spare an apple or two?"
"Get lost kid. This food is for the King." He orders.
"Sorry. Sorry. Not looking for trouble." As he turns to walk away the little boy trips and falls down. "Ow my leg." He whines.
As the guard hears sobs coming he sighs.
"Hang on kid." Putting the spear down, he helps the little boy up and hands him an apple. "Here you go."
"Oh thank you." The little boy said giving him a hug.
"Alright, alright no need to make a big deal. Just get out of here before you get into trouble." The guard orders.
"I will." The boy said letting go.
Watching the little boy limp away the guard went back to his duty.
Once the little boy turned a corner he started walking normally. Wiping his face, it was revealed he was fake crying.
Looking up the boy saw a black bird with a red bandanna around its neck.
"I got'em. Get going." The boy said tossing a set of keys to the bird who caught them with his claws.
Flapping his wings the bird took off towards the castle while the little boy ran in a different direction.
At the highest point in the castle, we see a fat elderly man in royal robes angrily looking at a note sent to him. This was King Congac.
"I'll steal the land and sea from Congac's bloody grip." He read aloud before crumbling it. "I don't know who would threaten me but this man is a clear fool. There's not a thief in the world who can steal the land and the sea. Guards!" He yells as multiple men showed up.
"Yes your majesty!" They said taking a stance.
"Double the patrols, double the guards, and double the checks. I want to know what's going on in every inch of this castle." Congac orders.
"But sir we don't have enough man power to cover the whole castle." The captain said.
"I don't care! Just do it!" Congac orders as the guards left.
Little did any of them know peering in from the window a figure heard all this.
Slowly climbing up to the roof, the moon shines down on the figure to reveal a leather jacket with pads on it, dark pants, on both his hands these cool gauntlets, and a bag slung over his shoulder. Just before you could see his hair and face the figure reached into his bag and pulls out a mask that covered his whole face. It was a black cat mask with big green eyes and a Cheshire grin.
Looking up the masked figure saw the bird flying toward him.
"Did you get them?" He asks and immediately the bird dropped the keys into his hand. "Good. Time to get to work buddy."
Landing on his shoulder a confident look appeared on the bird's face.
Slowly making his way across the roof, he approached the door.
Using the keys they stole; the masked figure slowly opens the door.
"Remember our target. We have to steal that. Anything else is a bonus." The masked figure reminds and the bird nods.
Sneaking through the castle, the masked figure and bird navigated through the halls.
Arriving at the bottom level, they noticed a shipment of the king's wine in tons of barrels.
Waiting for the right moment the bird flew towards the pile and strapped what seemed to be a piece of paper with several strange characters and symbols.
Flying back to his owner, the masked figure made his way back inside.
As three guards were patrolling the halls, the masked figure slowly peeked out before ducking back. Waiting until they past him, he slipped ahead and continued down the hall.
Climbing up to the top floor, the Masked Figure noticed two guards guarding the door to the treasure room.
Looking at each other the Masked Figure and his bird nodded.
As a banging noise echoed the two guards were unsure what happened.
"Go look." One said.
As the other guard drew his sword he made his way down the steps when suddenly a pair of feet swung in and kicked him in the chest sending banging against the wall.
Gasping the other guard saw the Masked Figure land in front of him.
Drawing his spear, the guard attacked when suddenly a blade shot out of the gauntlet on his right hand allowing the masked figure to block it.
Sidestepping the Masked Figure slashes the spear handle causing it to break.
Before the guard could even react the Masked figure punched him in the face knocking him out.
Rummaging around the Masked Figure pulled some more keys off them.
Opening the door, the Masked Figure and his bird look to see the whole room was full of treasure.
"Guess Tax Season was good this year." The Masked Figure whistles as the bird eyes the gold with interest. "Alright you start filling these up and I'll look for what we came for."
Tossing the bird 3 empty sacks the bird happily obliged.
Examining through the piles of gold, jewels and trinkets the Masked Figure's sight slowly moved to a small wooden chest with a lock on it.
Making his way towards it he wipes the grime off the seal to reveal it had a Mermaid carved on it.
"Bingo." Picking it up the Masked Figure saw that his bird had already filled the sacks up.
Picking them up, the Masked Figure swung them over his back.
"Let's get out of here." The Masked Figure said.
Making his way down the two enter the ballroom when suddenly the lights turn on surprising them.
"Gotcha!" Turning around the Masked Figure saw Congac swing a Claymore at him.
Jumping back the Masked Figure narrowly dodges them.
"You think I would let you steal from me and get away with it?! This is my kingdom!" Congac snaps.
"Yeah well a birdie told me you shouldn't even be wearing that crown." The Masked Figure said.
"How did you…that secret dies with you!" Congac snaps.
Tossing his birds the sacks the Masked Figure uses the chest to block his strike causing him to dent the lock.
Dodging all of Congac's slashes the Masked Figure swings his blade slashing the royal robes off his shoulders and the crown off his head.
Gasping Congac looks to see the crown land right on the bird's head as it flew away.
"My crown!" Congac gasps only to be whacked in the head with the chest.
As the Masked Figure turns to leave he saw all the guards storm the Ballroom.
Seeing over 4 dozen guards blocking his way out the Masked Figure was good but this was crazy.
"If I can't kill you. They will." Congac growls slowly getting up.
"Guess it's time to break out the big guns!" Looking to his bird it flew in dropping the treasures at the Masked Figure's feet.
Grabbing it the bird began to glow attaching itself to his arm.
When the light dies down, we reveal the bird's body had changed. With its wings glowing twice in length its mouth opened wider and its legs and body had wrapped around the figure's arm.
"Well Congac it's been a blast! But I gotta go! Kir Royale!" The Masked Figure yells as from the birds mouth a powerful green beam shot out blasting through the guards sending them flying backward and blasting a hole right through the wall.
Grabbing the chest and treasure, the Masked Figure and his bird used this chance to make their escape.
Running through the hole they made they saw it was a dead end.
Looking down all the carriages were lined up towards the drawbridge but there was no stairs to get down.
Turning around the two of them saw Congac and all his guards slowly getting up and approaching them with weapons at the ready.
"You're surrounded! Hand over my treasures now or fall to your deaths!" Congac threatens.
Pausing the masked figure looks down and noticed one carriage in particular.
"I choose…fall!" Throwing the sacks over the edge the masked figure jumps over the edge.
"No!" Congac gasps.
Aiming his left gauntlet, a cable shot out latching onto the wall.
Swinging in the masked figure grabbed both sacks before landing in a carriage.
"Hey what took you so long?" Pulling back some blankets we see that the hooded kid from earlier was hiding out in the driver's seat.
"Nice to know you didn't fall asleep on us. Now drive!" The masked figure orders.
Grabbing the reins, the kid flicks them making the horses run out as fast as they could.
Shortly after Congac and his men followed after.
"Don't let them escape!" Congac orders.
However just as they were about to exit the Masked Figure snaps his fingers and the paper they had set near the wine barrels ignited into flames before exploding.
As alcohol exploded all around all of it came down on Congac and the results caused all the carriages and horses to crash in a big sticky mess.
Struggling to make it out of the mess, Congac looks out at the thief who stole from him before gasping in realization.
"He did it. He lived up to his word. I didn't see it at the time but it was him. He's real." Congac said speechless.
On the outskirts of the town, we see the masked figure and his gang meeting with a woman in her 40s.
"I thought I would never see this again." She chokes as the masked figure breaks the lock on the chest and opens it revealing a beautiful sapphire necklace.
"The Soul of the Ocean. Stolen from your family along with everything of value when Congac took this kingdom by force." The masked man said. "When the people learn of this, they'll want their true leaders back."
"The Ocean and the Land stolen in one night. You have to be…you're him." The woman realized.
Breaking into tears of joy the woman drop to her knees.
Slowly walking over the trio comforted her.
"Hey it's okay. You don't have to hide it anymore." The little boy said.
"You've given me back my home and my family's legacy." The woman chokes holding back her tears. "How can I ever thank you?"
Slowly reaching in the Masked figure grabbed a few bags of gold coins, jewels and gold trinkets to fill one travel bag.
"Don't worry I didn't take any family relics." The masked figure assures. "Give whatever is left to the people. They need as much help as they can get."
"If that's all you want for giving me and this kingdom so much that's more than fair." She smiles.
"I believe there's only one thing left to do." The Masked Figure said as the hooded boy held out the crown.
Slowly reaching out they placed on the woman's head.
"Good luck…your majesty." Smiling the two humans and the bird took off as the sun rose on this kingdom. Giving them a new ruler and a better future.
"So where do you think we should go next?" The little boy asks.
"I say somewhere exotic. Somewhere we can hang up our feet, relax and hopefully find some pretty girls." The bird said revealing he can talk.
"Hmm I might know just the place. It also just happens to be where a really big score is." The figure said reaching for his mask.
"Well don't keep us in suspense. Where are we going?" The bird asks.
Lifting up the mask the figure revealed his mouth that had a grin.
"Pack your begs fellas. We're going to Avalor." He declares.
Passing by a tree we see a Wanted Poster but all that was on it was a picture of a crown.
