Majo Kon-ki The Marriage of Tanya the Witch

(The marriage chronicles of a witch)

Arc 2 - Chamber of Secretspart 1

August 3, AD1992, an orphanage in the outskirts of Hastings.

"Hum… maybe it was his mother? She already demonstrated knowledge in utilizing powerful spells. She saw the future somehow? But then, did she tell Dumbledore before dying?"

This has been in Tanya's mind since coming back from Hogwarts. How was it possible for professor Snape and the headmaster to know about Harry's destiny? She gathered as much material as possible about the night the Potters died trying to find at least a clue. However, after weeks investigating, she couldn't even come up with a theory.

"Could I be wrong? Was it all just a big coincidence?" But if it was a coincidence, this would mean the worst case scenario. It was undeniable that Dumbledore staged the encounter between Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort. If he didn't know about their fate, this would mean that the headmaster wanted the boy dead.

"Hum?" A book about prophecies caught her eye. Flipping through the pages, she wondered if there was some sort of prophecy about Harry and the dark lord. It would fit perfectly and yet, the more she read, the more it became evident that prophecies were all some sort of scam. Disregarding it completely, she just closed the book.

"Afff! This is taking me nowhere, I need more data- Yawn!" Tanya looked at her clock and realized just how late it was.

"I will continue tomorrow." She put the books and papers away and lay down on the bed, barely being able to keep an eye open…

"…!" A bright light shone outside her window. In her drowsy state, she covered her head with a pillow to try to sleep, but now, there was also a car honking.

"Ugh! Stop making noise with that car! I want to sleep! Why does a car have to be exactly outside the window of my room-" Tanya's eyes shot open.

"Hold on! My room is on the third floor."

The girl jumped out of bed, opening her window, she saw that indeed, there was a car in front of her window. A flying car.

"Eh?!"

The car turned, and she saw her schoolmates, the three Weasleys: Ron, Fred and George.

"Tanya! Have you-"

"PUT DOWN THAT THING YOU IMBECILE! WE ARE GOING TO BE EXPOSED!"

The twin driving seemed to take the hint as he slowly descended the vehicle.

A minute later, Tanya emerged from the building demanding answers.

"Where did you get this?!"

"Cool, huh? It's our dad's."

"Your father? The one who works at the misuse of muggle artefacts office?" Tanya could see some irony here…

"Yup. That one." … but the three didn't.

"Morons!"

"So, to what do I owe this 'pleasant' surprise visit?"

"That's right! We came to ask if you heard of Harry!" Ron asked.

"Harry? No, not since Hogwarts."

"He didn't reply to a single letter I sent! I talked with Hermione and it's the same with her. Are you sure he didn't try to contact you?"

Tanya shook her head.

"I mayhave been busy with the investigation, but it would be hard to miss an owl carrying a letter."

"There is more. My dad said he got an official warning for using magic in front of muggles! You don't think something happened, do you?"

"Of course not-" Tanya was about to mention that Harry is well protected thanks to his mother's defense but…

"Who told him about this protection in the first place? Dumbledore! Someone that may be trying to kill him!"

Tanya grabbed Ron by his shoulders, a clear expression of worry in her face.

"C-couldn't he be too occupied with something else and just forgot to answer you?!"

"Whoa! I don't know. Maybe?" Ron was startled by her abrupt change.

"When was the warning sent?"

"Two or three nights ago-"

"SHIT!" Tanya grabbed her head in a sign of despair. Now, all three Weasleys were looking astonished by her outburst.

"Shit! Shit! I should have kept close tabs on him! Once again, I've relied too much on magic I don't fully comprehend. He can be dead- no, irremediably wounded by now! And if he is, Voldemort can kill him easily!"

Tanya had a scared look on her face as she contemplated her newest mistake.

"Hey! Don't worry, everything should be alright. We are gonna see him and if he wants, he can come back home with us-"

"Your home? The one in Devon, very close to the- Good idea! I am going too!"

"W-what?"

"Wait here. I will pick my school supplies and notify the sisters I am leaving earlier."

"B-but-" Before the young Weasley could voice any objection, she was already running back to the orphanage.

"Great!" Harry was bored. It was already the third day since he was grounded by his uncle following the 'pudding incident'.

"Hogwarts… I really miss it…" The boy was feeling longing for the place he considered his true home, he wished more than anything to see his friends. Ron, Hermione, Hagrid and all the others. But above everyone else…

"Tanya…" Looking at the single picture of her on his album, Harry clenched and unclenched his hand, even at the height of summer, it felt incredibly cold.

He'd always been lonely, but now that he tasted a bit of human warmth, it was hard to get back into the same old routine with the Dursleys.

"To think I was almost convinced they didn't care about me!" Truth was, Harry only recently realized the lack of mail from his friends, he had been too busy trying to sort out his feelings.

Like he promised, he has spent every single day since the end of year contemplating what he felt towards Tanya Degurechaff. Did he love her? Yes. But did he love her in what people called 'a romantic way'? This question was hard, mostly because every time he tried to even think about her in this way, his imagination would turn himself into his uncle and, worse, she'd turn into his aunt! It was an awful and nauseating thought, but maybe the answer he was looking for.

Harry didn't want to do the stuff his relatives did together. What he truly wished was to have someone always with him, a person who would be his family forever and ever. Be it a sister or a mother, someone who would never die and left him all alone again.

In the end, Harry's wish was to have an entire life exactly like the year he just had. He would have it no other way, even with the threats to his life if it means his relationship with Tanya could remain forever the same.

Nonetheless, what if Hermione was right and she fancied him? And what would happen once she knew that he didn't want to be her boyfriend?! For a moment he thought of her crying and wishing to never see him again.

"In this case, wouldn't it be better if we just-" Again, Tanya turned into aunt Petunia inside his mind.

"Ugh! I need to take my mind off her, just a little bit."

The boy turned on a lamp and took out a book on birds he found in Dudley's trash can. Harry wanted to see if there was something about owls, but as he flipped through the pages, he came to a halt in a different chapter: 'The peregrine falcon'.

'… the one at the top always has the advantage!' Again, he was reminded of Tanya Degurechaff.

Like she said, this falcon could fly so fast that no other flying creature could outrun it, which was important since it preyed on almost only other birds. It also mentioned that it could kill the most poisonous snakes.

Harry chuckled, at the mention of it killing snakes, he recalled when Tanya shoved Malfoy and his goons out of the compartment of the Hogwarts express. Just how many other things they had in common?

Reading further, he reached the part about their reproductive behavior.

'… a pair mates for life…' In other words, the falcons have only one partner for their entire life. The boy smiled, visualizing a future where both he and Tanya became two elderly people, seated together and holding hands.

'… usually, it's the male who will begin courtship by offering its prey…' Harry wondered if he should be more active in their relationship.

'… in some rare cases, two females may fight for a single male… the losing female will not accept any new suitor and will certainly-'

"… die alone. Blimey!" Harry sighed and closed the book.

"Does this mean if I reject her, she will be all alone- No, no. What the heck am I thinking? Tanya is a girl not a bird!"

But he was uneasy. The idea of seeing her sad made his heart clench.

"Maybe I should- Hum?" Harry heard a commotion in the house. His relatives were screaming at someone? This seemed to go on for a few minutes until he heard a high pitched scream followed by silence. Next he heard footsteps stopping outside his room, a knock came immediately.

"Harry?"

Harry's heart skipped a beat, he wondered if he was dreaming, the voice outside belonged to the one he wished most to see!

"Harry! Are you there? Please, answer me!" There was a tone of concern in her voice.

"Ah!" He remembered that because of Dobby, no one heard of him since the last day of school. Tanya should be worried sick!

"Y-yes! I am here!"

"I can't open it, it's locked. Step away from the door!"

Harry was about to explain he was already far from the door when she took it down with a single push. It always amazed him that such a small girl had so much strength.

As green and blue eyes met, he had to fight the blush threatening to rise in his face.

"Harry!" Tanya ran to him. And started to look him up and down for signs of wounds. He felt warm by having someone care about him again.

"I was so worried! Ron said you haven't responded to his mail! And with your tendency to get into trouble I thought the worst had happened!"

"I am okay. A house-elf named Dobby has been intercepting my mail and-"

"A house-elf?!" Tanya blinked.

"Even house-elves want a piece of you now? Seriously?!" She made a deadpan expression.

"Hey! It's not like this is my fault!"

"Yeah, yeah! Let's just go, okay? Take your stuff, Ron is waiting outside. We are spending the rest of the summer with his family."

Harry nodded, he took his things along with Hedwig and followed after her.

"Wait! What happened to uncle Vernon this time?"

"I dealt with him again, of course."

"R-really? Please, tell me that you didn't break his arm again!"

"What? How rude! I didn't break his arm!"

"Whew, That's a relief-"

As the two reached the hall, Harry saw his aunt tending his uncle. He seemed to have trouble breathing.

"What? You said you didn't hurt him!"

"No, no. I said that 'I didn't break his arm' and I didn't. Instead I broke one of his ribs so he won't be able to prevent us from leaving. But besides that, he is completely healthy." She answered as if it was the most normal thing in the world.

Harry was about to point out something when he saw that the front windows were all broken.

"What happened here?!"

"I had to break the windows to get inside. Your uncle wouldn't open the door." Again, she answered like it was a daily occurrence.

He wondered if his relatives would let him into the house next summer.

"It's not like I want to come back but…" Harry had a mix of worry and anticipation… and of tenderness towards this little girl. Only she would go to such lengths for him.

"Harry!"

"Ron! Fred! George!" Seeing his friends for the first time in months, Harry chooses to forget about his relatives for the time being and just be happy with this reunion.

On the way to the Weasley's residence, Harry told them about the previous events with Dobby, the warning of the ministry and his uncle's punishment. Eventually the name Malfoy was brought up as a potential master for the elf.

"It's possible, house-elves usually belong to owners of ancient homes." Tanya said.

"Really? Then it was probably a joke of that prat-" Harry finally noticed something funny.

"Tanya?"

"Yes?"

"Why are you the one driving?"

"Because I won't feel safe riding a car driven by kids! Not to mention, it's doubtful that any of you have a license."

"Of course not. We are all children here. And by the way, you are the youngest of us…" Harry decided to not remind her of this important detail.

"B-but can you see the road?" He asked, since she barely was able to look at the windscreen.

His answer was a quick glare.

"Ugh! Should know by now to never directly or indirectly remark on her height. Well, I just hope we don't have an accident."

"I am so glad to see you again Harry!" Ron's mother greeted the boy after what seemed like an entire hour of scolding her three sons.

Harry had told Tanya that he met Molly Weasley at king cross station when they got back from Hogwarts. The girl wasn't present because once the train reached London, she wanted to get as far away from the clingy troublemaker as possible.

"H-hi!" Harry was shy after seeing her interaction with her sons.

"Ron told us everything about you- Hum?" She noticed Tanya for the first time.

"Oh! And hello! Who would you be, dear?"

"Ron didn't comment about me?"

"A good morning to you, Mrs Weasley. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, I am Tanya Degurechaff, your son Ronald housemate. But please, call me Tanya." Tanya gave the most formal greeting. Not that the Weasley family had any influence even being one of the last true pure-blooded families in Britain. But it never hurts to leave a good impression.

"How polite! And you are so pretty! You are the prettiest girl I ever saw, after my Ginny of course!"

"Hmpf! Typical mother. Her daughter and sons are the greatest things on Earth."

"RON! COME HERE!" She yelled.

"Yes mum?" Ron was immediately in front of the woman.

"Was it you who brought little Tanya?"

"Y-yes."

"Why you never mentioned her before?"

"I am also curious about that."

"W-well, y-you know, she is a girl and I-"

"I think I understand!"

"You do?"

"Uh-huh. And let me say this…" Mrs Weasley out of blue hugged her son with a big smile on her face.

"I am so proud of you!"

"Huh? Why?"

"'Why' he asks! It's just that among all my sons, to think my youngest would be the first to ever bring a GIRLFRIEND home! And one that is so charming!"

"WHAT?!"

"Mum?!"

"And you shyly keep it a secret, you little rascal! I just hope you two didn't do anything I would not approve of."

"MUM?!"

"No, it's okay, I am not going to judge! Please, come here sweetie!"

"Mrs Weasley, I believe there is-" Tanya didn't finish as the Weasley matriarch placed her side by side with Ron.

"Oooh! You two look so cute together! I wish I could take a picture to show your children someday."

"OUR WHAT?!"

"Ah! I think Arthur has a camera in his shed! Little Molly Tanya and Arthur Ronald will love to see how their parents looked when younger! You two just wait here!" She turned in the opposite direction, probably to look for a camera.

"She picked names?!"

Tanya turned her attention to Ron, he gulped seeing her frown.

"I-it is not my fault! Mum is like that sometimes! This is why I never told her about you or Hermione!"

"I-I see, so that was why…"

"Listen Ron-"

"FIX IT!"

"Eh?" Tanya saw Harry with a scowl in his face.

Ron looked at him like he grew a second head, then ran after his mother.

"Mum! Wait!"

Tanya noticed Harry looking weirdly at her. It was as if he was waiting for something? Then he groaned and grabbed her hand like it was something that belonged to him.

"H-Harry?"

"… let's go inside." And without her consent, he basically dragged her to the house.

"Is he angry with me? But, why?" Tanya was quite puzzled with this strange behavior.

Ginny was holding herself back to not jump from joy. After an entire week, she finally was able to take Harry's nimbus two-thousand for a spin!

"Aaaaah! Harry!" Ginny could not help being all flushed at the simple thought of the boy-who-lived. He was exactly as she ever dreamed him to be! Ron told her how he defeated a mountain troll and even fought a grown up teacher all by himself! He was so brave! And all of this to… protect the girl he was hand in hand with!

The redheaded groaned thinking of the girl Harry was inseparable from.

"Just what Harry sees in her? Why can't he look at me instead?" As if being too shy to even talk with him wasn't bad enough, Ginny had to see her beloved Harry Potter acting all lovey-dovey with another girl!

Ron mentioned there was a girl who was like a sister to Harry. But you don't hold the hands of a mere sister all the time! Or stare at her with a dim-witted dumbstruck look on the face! They seemed like a married couple, not too different from her own parents!

And speaking of her parents, they were very taken by that 'tramp'! Her mother was blind by what was happening between her two guests and decided the 'pipsqueak' was fated to marry one of Ginny's brothers. Her father treated her like a celebrity more famous than the boy who lived. Just because she appeared in a magazine, he would pamper her saying how she was a prodigy whose revolutionary ideas would someday create a world where muggles and magicals walked hand in hand.

"That 'pygmy' can hold any bloke's hand as long as it's not the hand of the boy of my dreams!"

Even her nightly broom-flying was disturbed. Because Ginny was forced to share her own room with the 'thief', every night she had to wait until the other girl fell asleep before sneaking out.

"Argh! I really need to let off some steam!"

Ginny reached the outside of her house and was almost mounting Harry's broom when she heard a noise coming from the garden. It was an unexpected surprise to see Tanya talking with a bunch of gnomes.

"But I thought she was sleeping." Ginny was puzzled. How did the girl sneak out first without her roommate noticing?

"Ah!" Ginny recalled that she wasn't supposed to be outside this late, she hid herself before the other girl could see.

"… I'll ask just one more time. Swear to never come back- No, promise to not come back for a few days and I'll accept that."

"Is she trying to degnome the garden at night?" Ginny silently chuckled at the scene where the blond girl was trying to negotiate with gnomes. How hilarious! Even Ron could do better than this.

"Alright… Remember I tried to be reasonable."

"What is she going to do now-" Ginny saw the flash of a spell. Her grinning face immediately morphed to horror as she saw a gnome split in two.

"S-she killed it?! Who kills a defenseless-" Once again she was shocked as Tanya killed another gnome and then another, and another, and many more! This kept going for less than a minute but now, her family garden had become a gnome cemetery.

"I warned you, this is what happens when one refuses to see reason." Ginny saw Tanya take one of her father's shovels and bury the poor creatures while whistling!

"This girl is mental!"

Then it occurred to Ginny that it was over for Tanya. Once her parents knew about this incident, they would send the mad girl away from their house. Maybe even Harry would be too disgusted to ever talk with her again. However, there was a small flaw in Ginny's plan. How would she explain being outside so late?

While Ginny planned a good excuse, Tanya finally finished her work and was walking back to the house. As she drew closer, the redheaded stopped breathing afraid the scary girl would wish to 'silent' the witness.

After Tanya walked through the door, Ginny breathed a sigh of relief-

"Ginny, please be careful when you get back. Even a heavy sleeper like me will wake up if you step on her when going back to bed. I already have to withstand all the howling of that ghoul." Tanya left these words and walked back to the house.

"She knew I was here?!" Ginny was no longer in the mood to fly anymore, or even sleep. Nonetheless she eventually felt very tired, but there was no way she was going back to the same room as that MONSTER GIRL!

"Ginny? Why are you sleeping on the couch?" This is how her brother Ron found her the next morning.

"R-Ron! Listen…" Ginny told her brother the 'gnome massacre' she saw last night.

Ron had his eyes wide open as Ginny concluded her story.

"Bloody hell! I always thought she was a nutty, but why would she-" Ron noticed his sister trembling as she looked over his shoulders.

"S-she is behind me, right?"

"Yes, I am."

Ron turned and there was Tanya with a neutral expression. Ginny, in a very unusual reaction, quickly took cover behind her brother.

"T-Tanya-"

"I am sorry if I scared you. But your mother will not let Harry out of the punishment until those pests are gone." After saying this, she walked away.

Both brother and sister were relieved.

"So that was why…"

"W-what should we do? She is crazy!"

"Yeah, crazy about Harry."

"Hahhhhh?!"

"Hermione warned me, Tanya is so 'madly' in love with Harry that she will do anything for him. But to kill gnomes so he can have time to play instead of degnoming?!"

"What are you talking about? We should tell mum-"

"Mum and dad will not believe it. It's easier for them to think WE did it."

"Ugh! R-right. But Harry will know we are telling the truth and-"

"… fancy her even more." Ron facepalmed himself.

"EHHH?!"

"Harry says she is like a sister to him. But one or two more crazy stuff like this and I reckon we will see the two snogging in the open like there is no tomorrow."

"Just wait a second! You mean that she can act like a crazy bitch and Harry will love her even more?!"

"Language, sis. But yeah."

"What?! But- that is- I mean, that's SO UNFAIR!"

"Sorry Ginny but you started the 'race' too late. Give up before you get hurt. Now, come on, let's have breakfast."

Ginny kept thinking about her brother's words and couldn't help being frustrated. It was becoming evident that she never had a chance in the first place.

"I know I shouldn't be this hopeful, but would it be too much to expect to find the other two hallows before the day ends?" Tanya could barely contain her excitement as she was finally going to the Lovegood residence, escorted by Harry and Ron.

This was the main reason she wished to go to Ron's house. Besides keeping an eye on Harry, Tanya could finally visit Xenophilius Lovegood to ask about the deathly hallows. Originally, she should have gone there on the first day of her stay but Mrs Weasley wouldn't allow a 'cute' and 'defenseless' little girl to go out as far off as her garden without an escort! The girl argued Harry could accompany her, but the older woman refused stating the boy was busy helping her sons in degnoming the garden.

Now, Tanya had no choice except to wait for the garden to be free of the pests. Nevertheless, the Weasleys were proving a real challenge for her patience.

Maybe it hurt to leave a good impression after all. As Molly Weasley became so captivated with her that stubbornly determined to turn into reality the misunderstanding with Ron, but with any of her boys. Alleging she had to assure at least one dignified and loving mother to her grandchildren!

Then there was her 'biggest fan', Arthur Weasley, constantly babbling about muggles and rubber ducks.

And even the twins behaved worse in their own home than in the school. One would think they actually wished to blow the entire house sky high by the constant explosions from their room!

But it was actually Ginny who proved to be the most annoying. Her obvious crush on the boy who lived turned her into a mute, but she didn't have to speak for Tanya to understand just how much the youngest Weasley hated her. The redhead would spend the days either staring lovingly at Harry or giving a loathing glare to Tanya. And the worst part was that every night she would stir the sleep of her unwilling roommate at least once!

After such a 'fun' week, it was reasonably understandable why Tanya took matters in her own hands. The final result: Harry was free to accompany her to the Lovegoods. And as a bonus, Ginny was letting her sleep peacefully at night.

"Should have done that on the first night!"

"… you guys came in a flying motorcycle? That's wicked!"

"Yeah! But now I wonder. Your father's car is barely legal, could Hagrid's bike be against the law? What do you think, Tanya?"

"Technically, it's not against the law if the proper authority doesn't know." Tanya looked at both boys and Ron flinched.

"You are still upset about the gnomes? Please! They are nuisances and I handled them as such!"

This was something that Tanya miscalculated. She thought the Weasleys were just inefficient in handling pests. How the hell was she supposed to know that instead of rats, those creatures were seen more like stray dogs or cats?

"What are you two talking about?"

Ron explained what his sister saw just a few nights ago.

"Y-you did this for me?" Harry asked with a small smile on his lips.

"Hum? Of course." And Tanya answered back with a nonchalant expression.

"I knew you were going to react this way!"

"Huh? Weren't we supposed to get rid of them?"

"Not like that!"

"Can't more appear?"

"This could take weeks. And dad liked the little guys. He may think we were the ones who killed them!"

"Maybe the Lovegoods have some? We could bring a couple back to your garden."

"Hum! That's not a bad idea at all! This region is swarmed with gnomes. They surely have some."

"Nice saving Harry! And just in time."

In front of them was the Lovegood residence, just like Tanya remembered from a year ago.

Without further ado, she knocked in the door.

After a few instants, they were welcomed by a little girl about their age who Tanya remembered as being the Lovegoods only child.

"Yes? Oh! Hello Ron!"

"Hi Luna. Is your dad home? My friend here wants to see him."

"And who is- Ah!" Luna then blinked as recognition came over her face.

"YOU! IT'S YOU!" Luna said, and embraced Tanya.

"…!" The little girl had no time to defend herself from such a hug.

"Oh! Thank you! If it wasn't for you that day mum would be- Oh! That's right! MUM! LOOK WHO IS HERE!"

"Luna? Why are you screaming so loud- Ah! YOU! IT'S YOU!" Just like the daughter, the mother also embraced Tanya.

"This is starting to annoy me!"

"Oh! Thank you! If it wasn't for you, I would not be here with my daughter and husband- Oh! That's right! XENO, DEAR! PLEASE COME SEE WHO IS HERE!"

This time the last member of the Lovegood family emerged from the house.

"What is this commotion? It is still my working time- Ah! YOU! IT'S YOU!"

"Ugh! Here we go again."

This time it was Xenophilius who embraced her. The only problem was that his wife and daughter were still hugging the petite girl. With difficulty Tanya managed to raise a hand from the family crushing her.

"H-help!"

"Please make yourself at home!" Xenophilius Lovegood motioned to a couch. He and Tanya were alone in the living room/workplace of the house.

Harry and Ron stayed with Mrs Lovegood and Luna in the kitchen seeing that Tanya made it very clear that she wished to speak with Mr Lovegood alone. This was a small precaution, she couldn't let Harry and Ron find out about the invisibility cloak of the deathly hallows story.

"I believe you came here wishing to see me a year ago?"

"Yes and I will go directly to the point: What do you know about the deathly hallows, sir?"

"What-" he seemed perplexed for a moment.

"At such an age, could you be a believer? Perhaps another quester?"

"Not something so grand. It's more like a hobby."

"A very interesting hobby, if I must say. So, what do you want to-"

"Everything you know, sir!" Tanya said very eagerly.

"Everything?"

"Yes, please!"

"Oh! alright. Ahem! Now from where… How about we start from the fairy tale?"

"That is not necessary-"

"There were once three brothers…"

Tanya tried to say she already had this story completely memorized. The Tales of Beedle the Bard was the very first book that professor Snape had presented her. At the time, she could not just say her wish to start researching the hallows by reading the story, so instead, she declared to want to get more acquainted with wizard culture by knowing a few fairy tales. She was lucky that this book was a favorite of children and after skipping silly stories about hopping pots and rabbits or whatever it was, in the last story of the book, was the tale of the three brothers.

It was very annoying to hear it all again. However, it could be worse, she could hear again the original 'uncut' version. The one which made her very disturbed by just how similar it was to her own story.

"… Death spoke to them…" But hearing the tale again, she couldn't help recalling the story from Ignotus Peverell's own mouth.

Like Tanya, the brothers refused to believe the hooded figure in front of them was death. Offended at such 'disbelievers', the entity gave presents that actually put marks in their heads. For years the three fought together against the 'death apostles' who wished to kill them to collect the hallows with the promise of becoming the master of death. The story finally reached its peak when Antioch Peverell was killed for his wand and almost at the same time, the wife of Cadmus Peverell died from an illness prompting her husband suicide. Now Ignotus Peverell was basically alone protecting the remaining members of his family until, after decades of constant struggle, he finally surrendered to the being's whims.

"… equals, they departed this life."

"Equals? There was no equity in becoming a slave for all eternity in trade of the promise that his family would not be harmed!"

Tanya shuddered thinking that she almost ended like him. She remembered Loria on top of her, about to inject a drug that would turn her permanently into his fuck-doll and how close she was to calling for that devil's help!

Mr Lovegood proceeded to tell various supposedly interesting facts about the hallows. Like how their symbol became the 'swastika' of magical Europe, as it seemed that Grindenwald was also a Quester of the hallows. She was surprised to hear that he knew the true name of the three brothers. And that in a strange coincidence, Ignotus Peverell was buried in the same graveyard as Harry's parents.

"… and?"

"And that's the end. That is everything that is known about the hallows."

"What? That is everything?!"

He nodded his head.

"B-but, that's not possible! You must know something else!"

"W-well…" Xenophilius took a glance at his table.

"I did my own investigations, as both my father and my grandfather have done as well."

"Can you show it to me? Pretty please?" Tanya had to know what he was hiding. She gave him her best 'cute' expression hoping it would work.

The older man sighed. He walked to a desk and opened one of its drawers.

"Alright! I will show you. Only for the one who saved my wife." He took a single piece of paper.

"Unfortunately, any clue about the cloak and the stone's whereabouts vanished from this world. Now, this is a list of possible bearers of the elder wand." He handed her the sheet.

Tanya read the list, it had only a few dozen names. It would be hard but possible to investigate this much.

"YES! It's a shame about the stone, but if some of these people have relatives in Hogwarts maybe I can-"

"Let me unfold it for you."

"What? Unfold?"

Xenophilius made a small wand motion and hit the list. Immediately the sheet of paper magically unfolded to double its original size and then again and again and again… until what was just a few dozen names, became a few dozen THOUSAND names and it was still unfolding!

"WHAT THE HECK?! Is this a list of the possible bearers of the wand or the entire population of Britain?!"

It would be impossible to investigate such a big list in a single lifetime. By now, it was so big that the paper covered almost all of the floor. Tanya felt devastated, there was no denying the awful truth:

"THIS WAS A COMPLETE AND TOTAL WASTE OF MY TIME!" All her hope just broke in the same number of pieces as the quantity of names in the list.

"A-are those all the names?" She asked, disheartened.

"Actually, no. To tell the truth, there are a few names I had to add, but I have been neglecting this duty."

"O-oh! So, there are even more…" She sighed.

"Much more! But I have been busy looking for the mythical Crumple-Horned Snorkack and-"

"The what?!"

"I AM SO GLAD YOU ASKED!"

Tanya was taken back by his enthusiasm. For what seemed like hours, she was forced to hear the most fantastically far-fetched story ever conceived. It was basically about a 'wonderful' and magnificent beast, whose mystery is only exceeded by the magic it possesses. And although there are numerous pieces of evidence, its existence is concealed by a conspiracy between the ministry and vampires.

Needless to say that by now, Tanya shared the same opinion of most people who get to know this man.

"I'vewanted to meet this man for years and he is just a DELUDED FOOL!" She looked at the list still unfolding and wondered if there was a chance for one of those MILLIONS of people to actually have a hallow.

"Enlightening isn't it?"

"Aff yes." So great was her depression, the girl just lost the will to contradict him.

"I knew you were a bright girl! You understand that this work takes precedent before updating the list, right?"

"… sure."

"Years ago, the very first time I heard of the Snorkack was in Hogwarts. I know it was your first year but, perhaps you could have seen it?"

"… uh-huh."

"YOU SAW IT?!"

"… yeah- I mean, what?"

As Tanya finally realized her mistake, the wand bearer list was still unfolding.

AN: I am very happy that my first interlude chapter was so welcomed. I was really afraid of how I made Vika as writing about a four years old was harder than I first thought.

And about the next interlude… I am having some trouble getting inspiration for it. I want o have a fight between Tanya and Mary Sue but I can't just visualize it in my mind. I know what I want to happen at the end but besides that, nothing. Ugh! If the second season had already started, maybe I could use something. My main problem is that I don't know how their fights will be after the events of the movie. In the movie Mary basically dominated the entire fight, so I need to know if their fighting will always be like that. Marry will always have the upper hand or Tanya will became strong? I am reading the novel now, but with the pace I am reading, I will finish this arc long before I reach the part in the Russy federation.

I am still pondering if I will use Albus and Scorpius from cursed child. I want they to travel in time just like in the play, but I still don't know what their reason would be since Cedird is not dying as you could see in the interlude.

Hope you guys liked my version of the tale of the three brothers. I thought the story should be more similar to Tanya's own events.

Next chapter, the Devil of Rhine wand and…

Reviews:

; Thank you. Who does a youjo senky story without Being X on it? Yes, the idea was to let a few hints about what is going to happen. About Tanya parentage, close to the end of this arc, a rumor about her past will rise. Sirius and Dobby will have their moments later, I am not saying they will die and neither assuring they will live. About Harry knowing Tanya's past, if you paid enough attention, you can see that she revealed an 'edited' past to him. Like she was a little girl when she was taken the first time and that she has family and friends waiting for her. It was clearly a story to make the listener take pity on her.

Ocansino: Thank you. Hope that the chapter surprised you in a good way. I am not giving spoilers, but Tanya will name her odd numbered children and Harry the even numbered. So the next will be James if a boy or Lily if a girl. Yes, Cedrid survived, mostly because he will not be a major character in this story like in the fourth book. But I want to write at least a moment where he asks Tanya out. I have a few plans for Ginny, but that doesn't include marriage.

Proverbsrus: Thank you. I may have a sequence later showing how Harry fared taking care of the children.

Valerious Lake: Sorry. Originally, this chapter was to be very clear, but then I thought it would turn the story too boring. So I wanted to give a few hints of what is about to came without revealing too much.

Setokayba2n: Harry also thinks that Tanya deeply down wish for a big family to compensate for what she 'lost'. And, yes, Tanya will show one of her memories in a pensive at a later moment.

Cookies0ne5 and : Sorry! Don't know how this happened. Its fixed now.

Lubber: Harry doesn't believe that Being X is real, but he was helped by him.

Ferne37511827: Thank you, you are very kind.
