Majo Kon-ki The Marriage of Tanya the Witch

(The marriage chronicles of a witch)

Interlude 2

November, Unified Year 1927, somewhere in the eastern border of the Russy Federation

"Mission complete?" Tanya asked herself, amazed at how easy it was to completely destroy this enemy base. Despite the fact that her target was supposed to be the heaviest guarded, everything proceeded smoothly.

"It helped that their command chain is in disarray. I guess they lost too many officers to keep things orderly."

Peace was within reach, only the Russy Federation insisted on dragging this war on. This forced the Empire to devise a plan to 'convince' the dumb commies to be more open minded.

This move wasn't that different from what was operation shock and awe against the Francois Republic in the past. However, instead of three targets, they had dozens. To the point that every mage in the Salamander Kampfgruppe had to take one mark.

The main difference is they wouldn't be invading thereafter since the Empire no longer has enough manpower for such a venture. The federation only had to believe their intentions were real and either call back their forces to guard the borders or, even better, accept they are also running low in resources and call for a cease fire.

'This is just between you and me. If this war is prolonged, we may be forced to ask for an unconditional surrender before the year is over.' Lieutenant General Zettour confided with her.

"With this, we- no, I won!" Tanya thought triumphant. If everything proceeds as expected, this will be her last mission. Her goal of enjoying a happy life in a peaceful world is finally at hand!

"Hope the others find this as easy and fun as me- !" Tanya barely had time to raise her defense as she detected a strong energy surge coming at her.

Shock was over her face, the blast had been so powerful that her shield fell almost instantly.

"T-this is impossible- ah?!" She saw BLOOD.

"My shield is destroyed and I am hurt?! No mage can do this except-" It was unnecessary to confirm the identity of the named, Tanya saw HER: Being X's most persistent pain in the ass!

Like a calamity from the skies, SHE rained down shoots at Tanya.

"W-what is a US volunteer doing here?! The Unified States already agreed to a non-aggression pact- Oh yeah, she wants revenge!"

Tanya tried everything against the enemy, every single formula she knew, every trick, every way to fight or even run away. But like she feared, Being X's apostle became too powerful to fight without support from the type-95 orb.

"THIS CAN'T END LIKE THIS! I AM SO CLOSE!" Tanya's scream was full of frustration. She has many wounds, nothing immediately life threatening but she couldn't focus on creating formulas.

"!" Finally, she was shot down.

"In the end, will irrational hatred be my doom? Again?!" No, she couldn't let this happen. Peace and happiness were in her reach all she had to do was escape!

"Come on! Move, you stupid little girl's body-" She tried to crawl away but the deranged girl was suddenly in front of her.

"GAHHH!" Receiving a single and vicious kick, Tanya found herself flying and hitting a nearby tree. The impact was so hard she almost fell unconscious.

"ARGHHHH!" Registering the pain in her hands, she looked up to see they were pinned against the tree with her own bayonet.

"H-hurts!That devilmust be having the laugh of his life, I am crucified!"

"Look, father! LOOK! I am going to kill the devil!" The older girl shouted to the skies while aiming her rifle at Tanya's head.

"Well, in death, HE can't pester me anymore. I may not win but I won't lose either!" Tanya gave herself this small comfort that didn't make her feel the least happy.

"I am Mary Su, Daughter of colonel Anson Su from the Legadonia Entente Alliance." She introduced herself, probably wishing for Tanya to know who killed her.

"Now, DIE!"

Tanya closed her eyes. A powerful blast passed by her… noticing she was still alive, she looked up again to see the upper part of the tree was obliterated.

"No! NO, NO, NO, NOOOO! Too easy! After everything YOU CAN'T DIE SO EASILY!"

"That's is the problem with revenge, girl!Nothing you do will ever be enough." Even by killing Tanya, this 'mad animal' won't find any release. Now that was a comforting thought that almost made her smile.

"You… you have to- Ah! You have to apologize! Yes! To my country! TO MY FATHER! To everyone you murdered! And most of all to GOD! APOLOGIZE! Pray to Him for mercy!"

"P-pray?!"

'Alas! The time has come! Just one more prayer and your heart will be permanently filled with joyful faith.'

It was only a few months ago when Being X confirmed Tanya's worst fears. The mental contamination caused by the Elenium type-95 Operation Orb was about to turn irreversible. Fortunately, much earlier, she decided to stop using it entirely after an incident in which she gave the extreme unction to some dead enemy soldiers.

Regrettably, she still has the orb hanging in her neck with the type-97.

"If I pray, mana may flow into it accidentally! Why didn't I throw this cursed thing away?!"

"Never- GAK!" Tanya nearly puked with the punch to her gut.

"YOU WILL PRAY! YOU ARE NOT DYING UNTIL YOU DO!" Tanya knew she was screwed at each new hit she received. It's a fact that no one can withstand torture indefinitely. Now, her only hope was the crazy bitch kills her before she breaks!

"I knew this worthless piece of junk would be the end of me since day one! Even after the risk of it blowing- wait!" She recalled an important fact: she didn't have to pray to activate it.

"Without praying it won't reach mana fixation. The jewel cores would become unstable and enter fusion!" In other words, Tanya had a potential bomb hanging on her neck.

"I-I don't want to die but I'd rather die than become a mindless puppet of that piece of shit just like the woman in front of me!" Making up her mind, Tanya began to fast charge the computation jewel. Mary Su couldn't notice the danger so entertained in beating her.

"Now, it should be only a matter of time."

"WHY ARE YOU NOT PRAYING YET?! Let's see what happens after I rip your-" Mary Su was caught off guard as, out of nowhere, a salvo of bullets impacted against her shield. Followed by an impact so strong it threw her far away.

"KEEP AWAY FROM THE LIEUTENANT COLONEL!"

Tanya was astounded. In front of her, stood a familiar female soldier holding a rifle like a club.

"L-lieutenant Serebryakov?!"

"Lieutenant colonel! I am releasing you!" She winced as Visha removed the bayonet, freeing her hands.

"YOU ARE NOT ESCAPING!" The fake god's servant was madly dashing against them.

Visha threw something and Tanya closed her eyes recognizing what it was. The flash grenade detonated, leaving the enemy girl temporarily blind.

"NOOOO! ARGH! WHERE ARE YOU?"

By the time her vision cleared, the two girls would be nowhere to be found.

Arriving in the ruins of the same base Tanya destroyed, Visha let her wounded superior officer rest.

"Hurry! Deactivate your orb or the enemy may follow us!"

"Done! How do you feel, lieutenant colonel?"

"Me? Like crap. At least the bleeding stopped."

"L-let me take a look!" Visha had worry all over her face while she tended to Tanya's wounds.

"You know you disobeyed orders by coming here, right?"

"My orders were to destroy my target and then go back. It never said I couldn't make a detour on the way."

"Feh! You are learning- Ugh!"

"Lieutenant colonel?! My god! You are a mess!"

"D-don't say 'god'! And give me a few minutes and I will be back on my feet."

"Y-you are not dying, are you?!"

"Don't be ridiculous-" Tears were flowing from Visha's face.

"Stop overreacting! I will get better!"

"Sob! Lieutenant colonel is so hurt! Sob! You would be dead if I arrived a second too late!" Tanya grimaced, realizing she was right.

"Perhaps a worse fate if I had given in."

In any case, Visha had saved her. It was appropriate to show appreciation.

"You are right. I will nominate you for a medal once-"

"With all respect, ma'am, I don't want a medal."

"Then, is there anything you want?"

"To take the lieutenant colonel home with me!" Visha answered full of vigor.

"That is all? Okay, as soon as I recover some strength we can fly back to the Empire-"

"Not just the Empire. Back to my home."

"Huh?"

"I told you that I wanted us to keep in touch after the war but it's not enough! I want us to stay together!"

"W-what?"

"I am already an adult, so I will adopt you!"

"Ehhh?! I don't think this is possible, lieutenant!"

"No? Then, mom and dad will adopt you!"

"Don't be unreasonable!" Tanya made her irritation show. There was no way she was going to lose her long-awaited freedom to a couple she didn't even know.

"I don't care if I am your mother or sister! As long as I don't lose you!"

Tanya let out a sigh.

"Does she think that I won't be able to take care of myself?"

"Be careful with your words, lieutenant. This could be easily mistaken for a declaration of love."

Visha reddened and looked away embarrassed.

"Hey, hey! What is happening here?!"

"I don't know myself, what this feeling is. Lieutenant colonel is so dear to me! I feel for you as much affection as for my mom and dad but I don't think it's like a sister. And it's stronger than what I ever felt for any boy."

She looked at Tanya again, a blush adorning her face.

"D-do you think I am weird?"

"A LOT!"

"A little."

"Does Tanya hate me?"

"I-I don't like the direction this is going!"

"N-no, I don't."

"Then…?"

It was clear now that Visha developed some sort of infatuation with her. The older girl now saw Tanya as someone irreplaceable and may be even having delusions of romantic love. This sort of development wasn't unheard for two people who spend so much time together.

"Like a student who falls in love with a teacher or a worker to the immediate boss."

And eventually, like it was so common in those cases, Visha would get over her crush and realize she only felt admiration and respect for her superior and move on-

Tanya grinned, realizing that until the spell was broken, she could capitalize on the situation.

"I will have a dedicated employee working non-stop without having to pay a cent! And here I was worrying that after the war ended, I wouldn't find a decent cup of coffee!"

"Okay, no one needs to adopt me. Let's spend some time together and see what happens- GAH!" Visha pulled her into a bone breaking hug.

"I am so glad!"

"W-was she always this strong?! Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all!"

"Tanya…"

"Huh?" Visha was looking at her with a very serious expression, Her gaze had something that Tanya couldn't fully grasp.

"L-lieutenant?"

"Please call me Visha."

"F-fine, Visha." Something weird was happening. It was like their roles were inverted. Tanya couldn't say no to her.

Visha was now caressing her cheek.

"T-t-the hell is happening?!"

Slowly, she was bringing her face close to Tanya's.

"Tanya, I- I really, really-" An explosion shook the whole place, followed by magnified screams.

"WHERE ARE YOU?! YOU DEVIL! COME OUT! NOW!"

"She found us?!"

"No, she can't but-" Another explosion, this one closer.

"… she will eventually flush us out."

"Destroying the country she was supposed to protect, only to get us?! Did she lose her mind?!"

"Close. She is what you would call a religious fanatical."

"Should we run?"

"We can't. She will see us the moment we leave this place."

"Then, let's fly as fast as we can!"

"Worse! She will feel the mana signatures and follow us!"

"Hum… there is a chance I may be able to escape if Visha attracts the crazy bitch's attention." Tanya looked at her subordinate, considering carefully the pros and cons of this idea.

"N-no! Even if I escape, Being X's apostle will definitely keep coming after me! I will be hunted forever!"

"We must end this ourselves! Visha, will you obey my orders, even if it means your death?"

"Yes, ma'am! For you, always!" There was no hesitation. Tanya almost felt bad.

"I AM HERE!" Visha screamed, drawing the insane mage.

Tanya waited a few seconds. As soon as the shooting restarted, she began to pour mana into the type-95.

This was the plan conceived in such short notice. Visha would distract the enemy, allowing Tanya to fully charge the jewel. Next, use it to blow their foe to kingdom come while the two girls flew to safety.

"It should be fast now. It was at least when I tested it for Schugel. Only this time, I am deliberately turning this junk into a bomb-" Tanya barely had any time to work. Visha crash-landed in front of her with Mary Su not too far.

"FOUND YOU!"

She shouldn't be so surprised. It nearly took everything from Tanya to survive her. Lieutenant Serebryakov never had a chance.

"I still need a few seconds at most!"

"PRAY FOR HIS- WHAT?!"

"Eh?" Tanya saw Visha quickly crawl and grab the enemy's leg.

"You are… not… hurting… Tanya… again…!"

"LET ME GO YOU DIRTY WHORE!" Like she did before with Tanya, the mad woman began to viciously hit Visha.

"Is this not ready yet?! Come on, you piece of junk! You were so eager to blow up before!"

"I SAID LET GO!" Finally, Mary Su was able to shake Visha away.

Her subordinate wasn't moving anymore and by the amount of blood painting the floor, it was possible the lieutenant was dead.

"Fuck!"

"Now, where were we- Eh?! Is that…?" Mary Su pointed to the type-95.

"Did she figure out what I am trying to do?!"

"Is that… from God?!"

"No, she merely recognized her boss' miracle!"

"GIVE ME THAT! I must have His- GAH?" Again Visha grabbed Mary Su. This time, fully capturing her from behind.

"YOU AGAIN?!"

"You… will not… will not… WILL NOT HURT TANYA!" It was impressive, Visha was bleeding all over and yet she had an iron grip on her adversary.

"LET GO OF ME!" Mary Su was tussling but couldn't free herself.

"Ah?" Tanya smirked looking at the orb. It was emitting a familiar ominous glow, the signal of the magical energy about to go out of control.

Activating her type-97, she flew above the two struggling women, preparing to drop her orb/bomb.

"Let's see your puppet survive this, Being X!" She threw the type-95 without a single hesitation.

Mary Su panicked. She could understand that even being from her precious 'god', whatever that was coming would surely kill her.

"WHAT? NOOOOO! F-father…"

Tanya wished to roar with laughter seeing the crazy bitch's expression filled with nothing but despair, only to catch sight of Visha.

"Sorry, don't hate me."

As if to reassure Tanya, Visha looked at her with a joyful smile on her face.

"It's okay!" Tanya would never find out if what she heard was just her imagination. The next moment, she saw a blinding light and then darkness.

"Major Weiss, how long have I been out?"

It's been just a few minutes since Tanya awoke in an Imperial infirmary. She didn't give the nurse any time to examine her, demanding, instead, to see one of her subordinates.

Major Weiss arrived shortly and proceeded with a full report. All the targets were successfully destroyed. Tanya was the only one to be hurt, having been unconsciously for three days straight.

"You were lucky to reach our side of the border in that state. The patrol said you were barely conscious."

"And what about the Federation?"

Weiss gave her a thumbs up.

"Yesterday they contacted our government asking for a ceasefire!"

That was the best news she could ever receive!

"The fact that their most critical border-city has virtually no soldiers or weapons must have helped them see reason!" The major added with a large grin.

"Is it finally over?"

"Lieutenant colonel, lieutenant Serebryakov is still missing. She never made it back." The smile fell from his face.

"Let it be known that lieutenant Viktoriya Ivanovna Serebryakov gave her life in the line of duty. She shall be granted a two ranks promotion."

"Visha died?!" The major had a shocked expression but quickly regained his composure as Tanya told him the circumstances of her death.

"U-understood ma'am! Would you like to write a letter for her parents?"

'It's okay!' Tanya couldn't help seeing the girl's face as she was about to die.

"There was nothing I could do to save her, right?"

"Ma'am?"

"No. I mean, if you could do this for me, please?"

"It must be hard on you. Everyone knows how close Visha and the lieutenant colonel were."

"What? No! I merely-"

"I will let you rest now! Excuse me!" Weiss saluted her one last time and left the room.

Tanya allowed herself to relax in bed. The damn commies finally put down their weapons! She should be thrilled!

"Weird, I feel so empty all of sudden." It just didn't feel like it was over. What if Being X sent another minion after her?

"If he had anotherpsycho, I doubt he would reveal only this late in the game- Ouch!" Tanya tried to sit up, making her wounds ache.

"I need something to help me think."

"Adjutant! A coffee please!" She waited a moment, truly believing someone would come.

"Ah- that's right! Lieutenant Serebryakov is dead." Tanya sighed.

"What a shame! Where am I going to find someone who makes better coffee?"

"That's all you have to say?"

"Eh?" Tanya noticed she wasn't alone in the room, a nurse was staring hard at her.

"Oops! I still need to keep the facade of a caring superior office!"

"What?! No, err… what I mean to say is-" Tanya realized the stagnant air around the room and the nurse's eyes.

"YOU!"

"That innocent woman gave her life for your sake. Regardless, you utter not a single prayer for her soul?" Being X asked through the nurse's voice.

"Hah! You are just frustrated! There is no more type-95 or your lunatic apostle! I finally beat you!"

"It's appalling indeed your disregard for my miracle and to use it to slay my faithful servant-"

"Why? They are both in a 'better place' now. With god!" Tanya said in the worst mocking tone.

"'… if there is a God up there, please, keep Tanya safe.' She perished jubilant with those final thoughts." Tanya frowned upon hearing this.

"To be the object of such blessed devotion, this doesn't stir anything in your being?"

Tanya seemed to be about to say something, but then, just snorted.

"Pfff! She fulfilled her role as my meat shield! A disposable resource, which is not one bit different from all the others! And they all just become OBSOLETE!"

The nurse narrowed her eyes.

"What? Did you think I would become attached to them? That FRIENDSHIP and LOVE would make me finally find 'salvation'? Please, don't make me laugh!"

"You who hold faith and gratitude in contempt, now dare to mock love?!"

"What a sore loser! Why don't you simply admit you were wrong and-"

"I was wrong." Tanya blinked.

"You are a lost cause! Unworthy of a single instant of my infinite time!"

"And you mean…?"

"It's with a heavy heart that I must declare this experiment a total failure. I can perceive no more benefit in watching over your heretic atheist soul!"

"… I won?" Despite her wounds, Tanya got up on her bed.

"YES!" She began to jump.

"HURRAH! I REALLY WON!" After almost fourteen years in a war against this pseudo-god, she finally had the last laugh!

"I won by exhausting my enemies on both fronts! Now I only need to enjoy my retirement from the military with a HUGE pension! Oh! What am I going to do now? Maybe go back to bureaucracy-"

"Don't be so precipitated."

"Eh?"

"You are no longer under my divine providence. Evil will choose this moment to try to feast upon your sinful soul."

"What are you planning now, YOU PIECE OF SHIT?!"

"I stand by my decision, you are a lost cause. I may not place any new challenges in your path but neither will I stop it from occurring."

"I DEFEATED YOU! LEAVE ME ALONE!" The nurse let out a small laugh.

"You ARE alone! Does this scare you? Oh, you poor child! Without faith or even love, now condemned to an unending hell. If only you had an ounce of love in your soul, you would wish to rejoin that innocent woman and through faith-"

"I DON'T NEED YOU OR HER! I DON'T NEED ANYBODY!"

"Nonetheless, I am not merciless. You shall be granted a final opportunity at salvation and all that will be demanded of you is PRAY." Tanya was reminded of the abuse she went through because of his lunatic servant trying to force a prayer out of her!

"So, what do you say, child?"

"Fuck off!"

"If that is your wish, then be it. We shall not see each other ever again on this circle. Engrave this in your heart, nevertheless: one prayer and you shall be saved."

"I SAID FUCK OFF!"

"Eh? L-lieutenant colonel?!" Time returned to normal and so did the nurse.

"… coward."

"What did you say?"

"Nothing."

"T-then if you excuse me." The nurse had a frightened expression as she left the room, but now, Tanya could care less.

"I need to calm down, I won! Since I am not praying EVER, he can't interfere anymore." But he did warn about an 'evil' coming after her.

"Only, I don't know what this new threat is or from where it will come!"

After a few minutes of deep reflection, she made her mind up.

"I need to leave right away! Go somewhere no one knows about me." Only this would mean she would be penniless, jobless and homeless.

"To hell with this! I can start over, I can do anything I set my mind into! I don't care if they brand me as a deserter but I am out of here!" She was about to storm out of her room, but as soon as she opened the door brigadier general Erich von Rerugen was right there.

"Hello lieutenant colonel. I know you are still recovering but we must talk."

By the somber look in the brigadier general, she knew it was too late.

June6, AD 2005, Grimmauld Place in the Borough of Islington, London.

"A meat shield? You really thought that of this Visha person?!" Harry was quite shocked. He finally got the explanation of why his daughter was named Victoria.

Tanya nodded her head. Harry could see she was ashamed of admitting it.

"I couldn't understand how I felt about her at the time- heck! It took thirteen years for me to finally accept how important she was!"

"Err, how did you feel about her exactly?"

Tanya looked up, like she was trying to recall a distant and nostalgic past.

"She was like a sister. She was like a daughter, like a mother. My best friend, my confidant, my guardian. She would be anything I needed her to be."

"Sorry, I still don't get it."

She sighed.

"You wish to know if I had any romantic interest in her, right?"

Harry nodded his head, fighting hard to not show he was dying of jealousy!

"I… really don't know. If you ask me if I was sexually attracted to her, the answer is no."

Harry let out a breath of relief. It would be hard to compete against a dead person-

"Now, if she had asked me to become her lover, I don't know what I would've said."

"Ugh!" He felt like she stabbed his heart.

"A-and what happened next?"

"Brigadier general Rerugen told me about the negotiations. The Russy would only sign a treaty if I was placed in their custody."

"Hold on! Was this when-"

"Yes. This is how I met Loria."

Harry completely forgot his former jealousy. His wife had lost someone dear. Without time to understand or mourn, she was thrown into another hell.

"Maybe I deserved that."

"What?"

"Visha cared so much about me… did everything for me… and how did I pay back?! I let her die- no, I killed her with my own hands!" Tanya had an unnatural grave tone to her voice. As if any minute she would cry.

"Maybe I really deserved EVERYTHING that happened next!" Tears began to flow her pretty face.

Harry hated to see her so frail, so vulnerable.

"Visha was avenged-"

"No! That's not true! If she felt even half of what I feel for you, then she would wish for your happiness! Just like I wish you to be happy!" He immediately embraced her.

"Harry…!"

"I should've known better, Tanya wouldn't just give a random name to our beloved daughter." Harry regretted how sometimes, he would feel some small bitterness for Tanya not agreeing to name their child 'Lily'.

"Thank you. I am really glad that you gave the name of someone so wonderful to our daughter."

"Y-your eyes! They are so- Is this why I- we…?" Tanya gave him what could only be described as an adorable blush. This proved too much and Harry couldn't control himself any longer, so he kissed her.

She was too lovely! People say how couples' relationships grow cold as time goes by. But after nearly ten years married, he felt like falling in love with her all over again!

"If she has to have tears in her face, let it be tears of happiness or pleasure."

Without breaking the kiss, he slowly laid her down in the sofa, his hands going for her shirt-

"W-what about the children?" Tanya tensed in his arms.

"Don't worry. Luna is with them upstairs."

Sensing her relaxing again, Harry resumed his kissing, also finally feeling his nerves calming down.

"When she asked to talk, I really thought it was about what happened a week ago!"

Harry was lifting her shirt-

"S-stop! We are not done talking!" Tanya pushed him off and quickly fixed her clothes.

"There is more you want to tell me?"

"The point of this story. Sometimes we love someone but it takes a major incident for us to see it."

"You lost me."

"Harry, how do you feel about Ginny?" Harry felt like thunder had hit him square on!

"She doesn't know! She can't know! Come on! Keep the guilt out of your face!"

"I never told you, but when I was with Peverel, before that ritual, he showed me what the future was supposed to have been like."

"You saw a different future?"

"I am an anomaly, I shouldn't be here, YOU shouldn't be with ME. Your destiny was to marry Ginny and have three children together. It is possible this future is still reachable."

Harry was astonished for another reason now. Despite already knowing Tanya's fantastic story as a time/dimension traveler, it still hurts to hear how they weren't meant to be together. He just couldn't picture a future where the two didn't marry.

"No, it's not! Because I love you! My future is with you!" Harry told her, full of conviction and affection. Tanya was unimpressed.

"Really? Then, why have you CHEATED on me?"

"DARN!"

"I-I…"

"I became suspicious that night one week ago."

"I need to make an excuse! Think brain!"

"You came home drunk and basically had your way with me as I was half-awake!"

"B-Being X! I know I haven't been talking to you for a long time but give me some help here!"

"All the while begging for forgiveness."

"This time I swear to really praise you everyday!"

"And there is- Harry! You are not praying to 'god' again? Are you?!"

"O-of course not! I know how much you hate that!"

Tanya had the usual scowl of when she knew he was lying.

"H-how can she always tell?! Am I that bad at lying?!"

"Well, more importantly, there is something you don't know yet. Ginny is pregnant."

Harry blanched, his mouth hanging open and his eyes about to pop out.

"W-W-W-W-WHAT?! HOW?!"

"You tell me!" Harry felt very ashamed of himself and confessed the events of one week ago.

To sum it all, he had been feeling dejected lately as his wife spent more and more time at work. Then, a night meant for celebration, turned into one of infidelity. Harry found himself alone with Ginny after her exciting victory in a particularly difficult quidditch match.

"I-I think we had too much firewhisky. Before I knew it, I woke up in the middle of night with her!"

"Then, you rushed to our bed, hoping I would never find out."

"Was it too much? To pretend it never happened?!" As if his guilt wasn't enough.

"F-forgive me!"

"Oh, I am so dead!"

"It's okay. I can see how this happened. I forgive you."

"Eh?!" Harry couldn't believe what he just heard! Did his temperamental wife just forgive him for cheating on her?

"Y-you forgive me?"

"You two were victims of circumstance. After all, it was mainly the firewhisky's fault. I should have given something else as a present."

Harry didn't correct her, however it wasn't all the firewhisky's fault. The truth is that for years there was this sexual tension between him and his best friend's sister. It started in his sixty year at Hogwarts, back in the days when Tanya had to be away he found himself in a constant fight to not give in to Ginny's open arms.

"To think I was able to control myself only to cheat on Tanya now!"

"Thank you! Thank you so much! I am not worthy of being the husband of the best wife ever!" Harry let out the biggest breath of relief, and an equally big smile appeared on his face.

"You are welcome. Now, sign these, please." Harry's smile disappeared as she brought out a DIVORCE form.

"WHAT? Y-you said you forgave me!"

"And I did."

"Then, WHY?!"

"Already told you, because Ginny is pregnant."

"She is aware that I love you! This changes nothing!"

"Are you forgetting you are both celebrities? When her pregnancy is made public it will be a major scandal."

"Ah!"

"This outdated magic community won't be so forgiving. Ginny in particular will be despised by everyone. Her own family will be furious, you know how Molly Weasley can be old fashioned."

"She is right!" Harry thought, finally realizing the consequences of his act. Not that he would escape unscathed, but Ginny would take most of the fall.

"But I have a plan to fix it all." She said holding the divorce documents.

Tanya suggested they should divorce now and immediately announce his wedding with Ginny. Afterwards, give a declaration of how their own marriage had cooled down, and then he, with Tanya's full knowledge and support, began to pursue a romantic relationship with Ginny. The reason their divorce took so long was because of lack of time and concern about their children's reaction.

"… and I will attend the ceremony to give my blessing and show we are still on good terms."

Harry couldn't believe what she was saying. Here he was, frantic with their impending separation and she didn't seem to give a damn!

"Please! Don't make me leave you!"

"And how do you suggest we should solve this? Ask Ginny to have an abortion?!"

"NEVER!"

"Then, the answer is simple." She said handing him the divorce form.

"Can't believe this is happening AGAIN!"

With shaken hands Harry was about to take the papers when they fell from Tanya's hand. His wife tilted and was about to fall too, but he grabbed her on time.

"Tanya? What is wrong?" She was unable to answer, she had just passed out.

"Did it hit home? Me cheating on her and our separation?" He felt relieved. She was acting so indifferent, so callous that, for a small moment, he thought she didn't love him anymore-

"Ah! What am I thinking in a time like this? LUNA! LUNA, I NEED HELP!"

"Hmmm…?"

"Tanya! Thanks Merlin you woke up! Are you feeling better?"

Tanya found herself lying on the sofa with Luna's lap as a pillow.

"Luna, what happened?"

"You fainted! I was so scared when Harry screamed for my help!"

Tanya saw Harry making some wand moves over her body, certainly looking for wounds or any cause for her symptoms.

"I must be tired. The expectation to see if my plan worked was enough to keep me awake at every night this last week." Not to say that Visha's story resurfaced old wounds.

"There is no need for this. Look! I am already fine." Tanya tried to get up, but Luna gently kept her in place.

"Please, don't move. Let Harry see if there is anything wrong."

"But-"

"If you are worried about Vika and James, they are already sleeping.

"You are not giving me too much choice- Huh?" Tanya realized Luna was caressing her head, like many times in the past.

"Are you looking for a hidden crumpled horn again?! After everything I told you, you still believe that silly story?!"

"What? How rude! I am just showing how much I love you!"

"I had to force Harry to hire a nanny! Who would guess that Luna would offer herself for free?!"

"Hey, don't go saying you love someone else's wife!" Harry grunted.

"Shut up you back-stabbing cheater! We all warned you after Cho Chang! Wait until Hermione hears of this!" There was nothing of Luna's usual dreamy look, she was plainly angry.

"I-I explained that Cho was-"

"Oh yeah! I remember! The nargles! And what about that Christmas night with Ron? Was that the nargles too?"

"Y-you know what I was going through! And even you said that Ron was very 'cute' that night!"

"He will surely love to hear what you did with his sister behind his and Tanya's back! Humpf!"

"UGH!" Tanya never heard Luna being this harsh with anyone.

"Thank you Luna! You are just showing what sort of life he and Ginny will have if they don't agree with my plan!"

"Have you discovered anything?"

"N-no. I can't find a reason for her fainting."

"Can't you see that Tanya's broken heart attracted a full swarm of wrackspurts?! It's a miracle she didn't pass out before with her brain this fuzzy! You should be ashamed of yourself!"

Harry had the devastated look of someone who believe to be the worst husband ever.

"If you forgot WHO he is unintentionally worshiping, it can be said this moron is an okay husband." Tanya held no lost love for Harry Potter, but she had to admire his many qualities. He works diligently, is responsible, reliant and isn't prone to huge expenditures. He took good care of the children and did the housework without any complaint. Lastly and most important, he grants ALL of his wife's wishes, even the most whimsical ones, and… is an exceptional lover…!

"And that is why I need to end this relationship! Before I fall deeper into Being X's trap!"

As the years went by, Tanya lost any hesitation at having sex. Her pride still demanded she denied him until the last moment, then justified by saying she was acting as her 'matrimonial duty' demanded. But, as a matter of fact, she had her share of PLEASURE. And more than once, she caught herself enticing Harry with tricks to satiate her own lust.

"Can't believe how many times he fell for 'I only have sexy lingerie to wear'. Ugh! Was I always such a pervert? No! HE made me this way! With no small help from thatbratty succubus!"

Tanya almost wished that devil had thrown another war at her. It would be easier than fighting against her own body's natural reactions! The thought of one day becoming so addicted to sex to the point that she could either turn into a depraved slut or a mindless submissive woman was too frightening! Before this happens, she must separate from him!

The main problem was how small is the magical community. Should Tanya demand a divorce from Harry out of the blue, his fame would place her as a wicked villain. Not that she cared what others thought of her, but she needed a job to live. This is why, a few years ago, she tried to trick her husband into believing she was having an affair.

The idea was for him to be the one demanding a divorce, instead he assaulted her wealthiest sponsor and made her pregnant AGAIN!

"Talk about a failed plan!" Tanya shouldn't have rushed! Peverel already showed her a future which Harry had another wife and kids. Even if this future was erased, Albus Potter still existed, or should it be said, WILL EXIST.

Tanya met the time traveler and his friend Scorpius years ago, it brought hope that someday Harry would leave her for Ginny. But after two failed divorces and two pregnancies, she was beginning to think that this future was also changed.

Nevertheless, hope returned when she heard of Astoria Malfoy's pregnancy. The two boys had the same age, meaning, Albus should be conceived soon.

Of course, Tanya would never leave anything to chance. She gave a 'small' push by spending more time working, driving the sex deprived Harry over the edge. Then, sending him to a match he knew Ginny would be alone plus making sure they would be horny as hell by mixing a considerable amount of aphrodisiacs in their drinks. And finally, pointing out the reasonable motives to marry his lover.

"Next I need to convince them to have full custody of the children. Then, I, AT LONG LAST, am having a safe, nice and easy life!" Now, Tanya would only wait to see her plan unfold-

"… maybe over here?" Luna caresses turned into annoying poking while she searched for any evidence of a hidden horn. Tanya could stand it all simple because this was possibly the last time she would be bothered by Harry Potter or one of his merry friends-

"Dejavu! I thought the same when I found the last hallow and it didn't turn out well." She was starting to get aprehensive.

"M-maybe Luna is right. I can't find any reason and the last time you fainted was when- Ah!" Harry began to perform a VERY familiar examination spell on her.

Tanya jumped from Luna's lap, eyes wide open.

"CAN'T BE! NOT AGAIN!" Tanya was sweating buckets all the while Harry harbored an excited look on his face.

"Please give me a white light! Please give me a white light! Please give me a white light! PLEASE!" Tanya was repeating the same sentence over and over in her head, almost like a prayer.

Ultimately, the wand glowed a PINK light.

"Tanya! We are having another baby!" She gasped at the same time that Luna flinched.

Everyone was silent for a full minute.

"Err, Tanya, Harry, if you don't mind, I will take Vika and James to warn- I mean, visit Hermione and Ron."

"At this hour?" Harry said looking out of the window, it was beginning to get dark.

"Oh, yeah! And if you don't mind, I will take the two to spend the night at my place, okay?" Luna completed, quickly walking out of the room.

"Luna what-"

"Harry, sorry, I was too hard on you! And don't worry, I will make sure Hermione and Ron forgive you too."

"Eh?"

"Don't forget how a crumple-horned snorkack reacts when carrying a baby! What you are about to go through will wash away any sin you have committed." Luna murmured to Harry, apparently oblivious that Tanya could hear.

"Didn't you say not believing in that story any longer?"

"No, I said I was showing love to Tanya, and I was. See you later!" Without any ado, she hurried up the stairs and holding the hand of a half awake Vika and a sleeping James in her arms, she was out of the door.

"Something tells me we lost our nanny. Don't you think so-" Tanya was giving him a LIVID glare. It was impossible to not see how FURIOUS she was.

"You- you LITTLE FUCKER!" She screamed and jumped at him.

"GAH!" Then proceeded to shake him to death.

"YOU USED FELIX FELICIS AGAIN! CONFESS!"

"NO! I… don't… have a… single… drop… for… years… now!" Harry managed to say while Tanya was shaking him.

"THEN HOW? I ALWAYS TAKE MY CONTRACEPTIVE POTION-" Tanya stopped in her tracks.

"Wait! Did I?"

She was reminded that during her time to sex deprive Harry, she decided to save money by not buying more contraceptive potions on account of them being too expensive.

"… and me and Harry slept together the same night he impregnated Ginny!" Horror surfaced in her features as that night came to her mind.

"I made a blunder- no, I LITERALLY FUCKED UP! What do I- Eh?" She was brought back from her musings by Harry moving her back to the couch and undressing her!

"W-what are you doing?"

"I thought we could continue from where we stopped before. After all, it's been some time."

"We already did last week! This is why we are in hot water now! B-besides, aren't we, you know, divorcing?"

"I already ripped the form to shreds."

"WHAT?!"

"Tanya, I like Ginny. No, I may even love her, but you are and will always be my number one!" Tanya blinked at his confession.

"This-this little Casanova!"

"You were willing to be alone just to save me and Ginny! Sob! For a moment there, I almost doubted your love for me!" Harry dramatically said, wiping a few tears.

"I know things are about to become messy for all of us but I still want to be with you. Most of all, I don't want to abandon my pregnant wife!"

"He is right! 'Harry Potter trades his pregnant wife for his equally pregnant lover'. The scandal would be far worse if we divorced now! There goes our friendly separation!"

"I will spend the rest of my life making up for cheating on you. O-of course, i-if you allow me?" Tanya's eye was twitching uncontrollably with anger as she nodded her head.

"THANK YOU! Oh! I love you so much!" Harry pulled her into his arms.

"And I hate you! Youstupid butt-kisser puppet of that piece of shit fake god! But what other answer should I give?! I can't raise a child by myself, let alone three!"

"So, we have the house for ourselves, I thought we ought to celebrate. Unless, you don't want to…?"

Tanya was feeling both frustrated and irritated. Another plan ended in failure and she would have to go under those awful nine months of hell all over again for a third time!

She really needed to vent some of her stress so…

"Aff! Do whatever you wish! We are staying married so, my DUTY as your wife remains- But, let's go to our room first!" Harry didn't wait any moment longer, he took her bridal style and ran up the stairs to their room.

"I could never guess that someday I would allow a man to fuck me while I like every second of it! Uhhh! I feel so dirty! Maybe Sirius was right, I am a tsundere!"

End of interlude 2

AN: This chapter took a week longer to write than I anticipated. It was two too distinctive time periods: one happens before my story started and the other after my main story ended. It was difficult to keep a different view on both time periods. Originally, the first part was supposed to be told by Tanya to Harry. But I would need to take out a few important details like Tanya couldn't mention that the Being X that appeared in Harry's dream is the same 'poltergeist' that gave her so much trouble.

Just to be clear about something: Future Tanya has a petite, small body for her age, but she doesn't look like a child! At most, she may be mistaken for a teenager in her seventeens or eighteens but not in her tens! I made her this way by respecting the original material, where she still looks like a ten year old even being almost fourteen. But she will still develop, I plan to address this in the fourth arc of this story. Basically, Tanya will reach puberty, something that didn't happens with her in the other world as she died before turning this age.

As you can see in this chapter, I already decided how I am going to use Albus and Scorpius. They will appear very few times in the future but they will bring fourth some major disasters.

I am also planning (don't know if I will really do it) to have a chapter were Tanya accidentally end in the marauder's time, where she discovers that Harry's infatuation is probably a 'Potter thing' as James is instantly captivated by her…

Next chapter: Tanya realizes two important things. The first: that she now has a BOYFRIEND. And Second: That, sadly, Molly Weasley's coffee is indeed better than Visha's.

Reviews:

setokayba2n: Believe me, Dumbledore and Harry still didn't truly need Tanya.

Random65: If you like Visha, hope you liked this chapter.

Wedgegeck: As you can see, Visha became an open wound in Tanya's life.

Ocansino: Sorry, but that is how this story was conceived. This will be a major plot in the next arc.

Lubber: As always, thanks for your kind words.

EricFreak: Thank you, words like that brings me strength to keep writing. There is still more stuff with Visha in future chapters.

Hank22117: Believe when I say that you made my day.

AMurder0fCrows: Don't know what a ROB is. But this is how the story was conceived. If you don't like then don't read. I am sure there may be a story you will like somewhere. About Visha, I believe that Tanya likes no one, except herself.

Jerry: Believe me when I say that I wished to stop writing in many occasions. Especially after some last reviews… But I am kind of a twisted person, once I began something, I need to finish.

Rice with Chest-Nuts: Never thought that I would say this someday but: Please, go read another story. The simple thought that someone like you is reading my fanfic is enough to make me wish to never write anything again.

Semar: Sorry about the starting chapters, but I was still learning at the time. I believe that future chapters will be better. Just to make sure, italics mean that I am showing the first viewer's thoughts. In the future I plan to correct the teaser chapter and then maybe the two prologues too.
