Majo Kon-ki The Marriage of Tanya the Witch

(The marriage chronicles of a witch)

Arc 4 - Goblet of Fire – part 6

January, AD 1995, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

"Impure? What are you-" Hermione covered her mouth in shock.

"T-Tanya, I am so sorry! I forgot!" Behind her, Harry and Ron were also awkwardly at a loss for words to say.

Tanya harbored no resentment towards Hermione; it was her own responsibility for not getting out as soon as she spotted the unicorn.

"For the sake of my sanity, I can't find out a part of HIM is still with me!" While Tanya's body may have been 'reset' to an untouched state, she had inherited the same attributes of her mana from her previous life. Hence, somewhere within her soul there might be evidence of what Loria had done to her.

"Sob! Please, forgive me- Eh?! Look!"

"Ah?!" Tanya was taken by surprise to see the unicorn so close to her rubbing his snout, clearly wishing to be petted.

"H-how is this possible?!" The creature was so taken with her he wasn't even minding the two boys so close.

"I… I…!" This act brought tears to her eyes, and she hugged him with a heart filled with gratitude.

"Tanya, could this mean… is there any chance Lockhart didn't do anything to you?!" Harry asked with a hopeful tone in his voice.

It was for a mere split-second, yet Tanya couldn't help holding onto a small glimmer of hope that the pervert had failed in his attempt.

"Wish it were the case… I believe the unicorn is so overwhelmed with my vast amount of mana that he can't detect the impurity."

"Or Loria's disgusting staindidn't transfer to my new life."

"Oh! I see…" Harry's disappointment was evident, but Tanya's joy was unshaken.

"I almost wish to keep him forever!" She was so elated that she monopolized the creature until the end of the lesson.

"I have to go… goodbye to you, my friend!" A hint of sadness crept into as she had to bid farewell.

"In the end, there was nothing to fear- eh?" She noticed the unicorn following her.

"H-hey! Please, you need to stay here, I can't take you with me." Despite her pushing him, he stubbornly refused to back away.

"Oh, what a wonder! He is so attached to you!" Professor Grubbly-Plank said after watching passively for a while.

"Professor, please do something. Tanya can't go to classes with him around!" Pleaded Hermione.

"Don't worry, child. All we have to do is- Pff!" Suddenly, she started to laugh.

"M-my apologies, I remembered a similar case many years ago, with a married teacher!"

"Married and she didn't…?! Really?!" Ron joined in with laughter as well.

"Was she ugly, perchance?"

"Oh, no. She was an unparalleled beauty, had almost the entire male population of the school-"

"Professor! The unicorn!" Tanya called out, starting to get impatient.

"I was getting there, we only need to wait until he falls asleep to move him away from you."

"And what should Tanya do for the rest of the day?" Harry voiced the very question which had been occupying her thoughts.

"Don't worry, most people adore unicorns. No one will mind."

Tanya let out a weary sigh.

"I can foresee exactly where this is heading"

"And here I was thinking Potter already got into her pants!"

"Course not! Princesses have to be pure until their wedding night!"

"Then, she is walking around with a unicorn to show off she is pure?"

"Yeah, remember the Daily Prophet? She is looking for a bloke richer than Harry!"

"Bah, I reckon she merely likes to play hard to get!"

"Or maybe Potter can't get 'it' up!"

… in essence, wherever she went, the unicorn's presence would stir these crude remarks.

"And it takes the cake for being the most attention-seeking creature I've ever encountered!" Not a single minute could go by without Tanya having to pet him. And she had to entertain him until late at night when the sleeping beast could be finally taken away.

"I gained a brand new reason to maintain my distance from them!" She realized her theory was indeed correct, she merely underestimated the effect of her immense and 'beautiful' mana over the creature.

"Wow! So that mana thing of yours can trick unicorns?" Ron made this observation as she presented an explanation the next day.

"Apparently, it becomes blind to anything else! I am so glad we are done with that lesson!"

"Err, Tanya… the other girls said it was wrong for you to have him all to yourself and demanded another lesson."

"WHAT?! And the professor agreed?!"

"Surprisingly, yes. Actually, she seemed quite eager."

"I reckon she wants to have a laugh recalling the, snort, pretty married virgin!" By Ron's reaction, it was clear he also wanted a few laughs at her expense.

"In this case, there's just one single course of action!"

"We must bring Hagrid back!" She concluded she'd rather have to fend off monsters than to spend another day with a stupid attention-seeking gossip-inducing horned-horse following her around.

"Right! I almost forgot!" Luckily, Harry was so motivated he didn't need too much convincing. He even agreed to skip his Hogsmeade visit to go see his friend.

And reaching Hagrid's place, once more, luck favored her, as Dumbledore joined in to talk to the game-keeper…

Days later, it was with great happiness they welcomed Hagrid back in the next care for magical creatures' lesson.

"Ahh, here we go for more Blast-Ended Skrewts." Despite his sense of satisfaction, Ron was reluctant to go back attending to the peculiar creatures.

"Oi, Tanya! Can't you do more 'pest control'?" She believed he was talking about her actions against pixies and gnomes.

Tanya shook her head, no more was she going to complain about Hagrid's teaching methods.

"I can take anything, so long they aren't-"

"""Kyah! Unicorn foals!"""

"WHAT?!" Tanya's scream was a mistake as this made the young unicorns notice her.

"GAH!" She let another yell as the foals excitedly jumped on her.

"Ah! She is doing it again!"

"Tanya, let us play with them, too!" Despite the other girls' complaints, Tanya was unable to do anything.

"Never saw them so 'appy before! Yeh 'ave a way with animals, lass!"

"Unbelievable! This time I am stuck with TWO unicorns for the entire day!" Afterwards, she would wish it was the case as ONE WEEK later…

"Now I miss Professor Grubbly-Plank! She at least took the unicorn away as soon as he fellasleep. Hagrid on the other hand…"

'I can't be doin' that to the poor critters! They may not wanna go 'cause they reckon you're their mum!' As always, Hagrid was overly sensitive when it comes to magical creatures. The definite proof Skeeter was wrong, he had nothing of the usual aggressive nature of the giants.

'Let's convince 'em bit by bit, shall we?' However, by the way things were progressing, she was bound to graduate and the unicorns would be still stuck with her.

"Perhaps a big crowd of boys will scare them away?" She thought as she prepared another fan event to get more money. If it weren't for the constant care she had to provide for the unicorns, she'd have arranged another one sooner.

"Deep down, I was delaying." She knew her fans had been eagerly anticipating her signature on the new edition of Witch Weekly with the pictures taken during the Yule Ball. Only, she didn't want to face a magazine, so filled with plenty of embarrassing photographs of her dancing with Ron and a dozen other boys.

"Besides, I knew the 'proof of my innocence' would attractanother sort of customer!"

"… unlike Potter, I can show you what a real MAN is!" Many boys thought they had better chances of making a 'claim' on her since Harry didn't.

"And it will please you to know how vastly wealthy the Zabini family is!" Plus, there was also Skeeter's article saying she was a gold-digger.

"Vastlywealthy because your black-widow of mother-Ouch!" Behind Tanya, the unicorns were poking her with their horns in a demand to fulfill their quotas of petting.

"Come on, a one night date and you won't regret it! I promise!" Meanwhile, in the front, she had an aggressive Blaise Zabini harassing her.

"E-err…" She was lost about who she addressed first…

"Sorry, sir. Your turn ended." Luna unceremoniously declared.

"I am not finished- eh?!" Zabini was taken by surprise as the Ravenclaw forcibly took him away.

"Who would have guessed that Luna would be so efficient at this job?" Tanya feared she could find herself in these situations and asked for Luna's help. Plus, as a precaution, she taught the younger girl how to enhance her strength with mana.

"She isn't at Harry's level but this should suffice to pose as the bodyguard of a 'frail princess'." After all, it would be difficult to sell the image of a violent princess.

"On top of that, she is working for free- huh?" Tanya gazed in amazement at the next person in line.

"Parkinson? You want an autograph?!"

"I want to… PLAY WITH THE UNICORNS!" She said, blushing.

This surprisingly cute side of Pansy Parkinson made Tanya roll her eyes in annoyance.

"Just what I needed! People bothering me for those two lazy ponies!"

"Sigh! Maybe later we-"

"How much do you want?! Is three sickles good enough?"

She gazed in wonder as three coins were placed in front of her. And looking around, more girls could be seen in the line watching the unicorns with longing.

Tanya's face broke into the most satisfied grin as she was struck by a sudden realization.

A few moments later, she had two lines, one for her fans and the other for girls to pay to pet the unicorns.

"Okay, okay! Close the bloody thing!" At his request, Harry's friends immediately closed the golden egg, causing the screeching noise to stop.

Harry was beyond worried. The task was taking place on the next day and he didn't get the clue yet.

"There is no way for me to do it! I can enhance my hearing but changing the frequency?! Impossible!" Thus, his last desperate attempt ended in failure.

"We could give it another try to ask Tanya." Hermione proposed.

"I don't reckon we should. She's kinda touchy with the unicorns around."

"Oh, no. That was before she realized the small fortune she could make with them." Luna clarified.

"Her mood has greatly improved, thanks to her two golden 'gold mines'."

"I did see her counting money with a big grin on her face"

"Hum, maybe she will be more receptive now. Luna, care to give another shot?"

"I already did!" His blond-haired friend said, puffing her chest.

"And…?"

"It was an utter failure." She deflated back.

"Sorry Harry, Tanya is unfaltering! I promised to stop sleeping with her if she doesn't tell me, and she saw through my bluff!"

"Why does she have to be so competitive?! The money is for our wedding, anyway!"

"I told you how you should have been more dedicated in figuring the egg out!"

"Hermione has a point, mate! You know absolutely nothing about the task tomorrow!"

"Is it my imagination, or did those two cease their bickering to take a jab at me?" Harry thought, recalling how they were quarreling about the yule ball mere minutes earlier.

"If Tanya would at least reveal what the mermaid said!"

"Yeah, if only Tanya-" Startled, Harry, Ron, and Hermione all turned to Luna in surprise.

"That scream came from a merperson?! Are you sure?"

"Hermione, I want to be a magizoologist someday. Of course I recognized it."

"Bloody hell! Why didn't you say anything before?!"

"Because no one asked." The trio exchanged glances.

"What you mean we didn't ask?! What have we been trying to find out all this time?!"

"The answer to the clue, you never asked what language it was."

Ron facepalmed himself while Hermione let out a sigh.

"I-in any case, Harry. If the egg reproduces the speech of a mermaid, I believe all we have to do is-"

"Mr Weasley, Miss Granger!" Professor McGonagal called out.

"I have something to discuss- Oh, Miss Lovegood is also here? Good, it spared me the job of having someone call you."

"Err, professor, can't you talk to them later? We are kinda busy with something."

"Sorry, Potter. You will have to wait until tomorrow, after the second task."

"What?! B-but I need them- hey, wait!"

"As I said, Potter. Tomorrow you can talk to them." Without giving him the chance to speak, she took away his three last allies just a few hours before the task.

"Blimey! What am I supposed to do now?!" To make matters worse, whatever it was the teacher wished with them, Ron and Hermione didn't go back to their rooms. Harry was left without any choice except to ask for professor Moody's help again.

"Alright! Filch is on the other side of the castle!" This is why he is sneaking around the castle in the dead of night, concealed beneath his invisibility cloak, while maintaining a vigilant gaze on the marauder's map.

"My way to professor Moody's room is- Huh?" On the map, he saw Mad-Eye's name close to another.

"Why is Mr Crouch with him? And so late?" Besides, he had heard the man was sick.

"Uhh! Should I come back later? No! I don't have a moment to lose!" Hesitating, Harry knocked on the professor's room.

"Who is there?"

"It's Harry Potter, sir."

"Potter?!" Hastily, he opened the door and pulled Harry in.

"Hurry up inside! You don't want the others finding you breaking curfew!"

"Thank you professor. Eh? Where is Mr Crouch?" Harry asked, noticing Moody was apparently alone in the room.

"Crouch?! What are you saying, Potter?!" For a brief instant, the former auror lost all color from his face.

"I saw him on my map." Harry reached for the marauders map and was about to look at it when the professor unceremoniously snatched it from his hands.

"And what is this?! A map of the castle? And I see my name close to yours!"

Harry gave a quick explanation about the map his late father and his friends had created.

"And you spotted my name close to Crouch's…?"

Harry nodded.

"Do you get what this means?!"

This time, he shook his head.

"The bastard has been stalking me!"

Harry tilted his head in wonder for a second.

"Ah! Sirius did mention he is quite paranoid."

"You can betcha he is! The old fart must be coming here hidden with some sort of invisibility cloak or disillusionment charm!"

"Shouldn't his magic eye show him?" Harry had the impression that one of those could enable him to see even the invisible.

"How outrageous! To think Crouch would suspect ME of going dark!"

"Professor, there is another thing Sirius said…" Harry retold how his godfather thought that Bartemius Crouch placed Harry's name on the goblet to expose Tanya.

"That is a possibility! He's the bigoted sort who will point fingers at the first talented witch he lays his eyes on!"

Harry resisted the urge to remind him how the professor had done the same.

"Anyhow, Potter, do you mind if I borrow this map? Doesn't seem I'm as vigilant as I ought to be if that old man can catch me off guard so easily!"

Harry saw no problem in letting him have it. In truth, he now had something to bargain…

A short while later, they set the egg in a chest brimming with water that was larger on the inside. Following the professor's guidance, Harry submerged his head and was able to hear the clue.

"It's the second occasion he has helpedwith the tournament. I am starting to feel like a cheater." To top it off, the professor went so far as to help him deduce the task would be held at the lake.

And it was with a heavy conscience that he reluctantly requested further assistance, seeing how the task's location presented two new problems for him

"For breathing underwater, the bubble-head charm- No, it wouldn't help you swim better! You don't make this any easier, eh Potter?"

"S-sorry! Tanya never had me running from acromantulas in a lake!"

"Gwahahaha! After your impressive bout with that dragon, one wouldn't expect you'd shy away from a bit of water!"

Harry blushed at the indirect praise.

"Really! That was brilliant! Have you ever considered a career as an auror?"

"Actually, yes. Mostly because I will need a job if I want to marry Tanya as soon as possible."

"Feh! Better be fast! Such a gifted and pretty witch has to have lots of suitors."

"You don't say! My rivals keep growing by the day! And Snape would rather have her with Ron!"

"Weasley?! Didn't reckon Snape would pick the first pure-blood around, I figured he'd say, 'she's more befitting a lord', eh?"

This comment drew a frown from Harry.

"… funny. Tom Riddle said the same thing."

"Who?" Harry told the professor his experience with the memory of the young Voldemort.

"He preserved his knowledge in a talking diary?! Astonishing! What became of it?"

"We destroyed it, of course."

"A shame- I mean, we could interrogate it to learn of the dark lord's secrets!"

"By the way, have you heard?" Harry figured that this next little piece of news would leave Moody in fits of laughter.

"Voldemort is a great stinking hypocrite! He had a muggle father!"

Contrary to Harry's expectations, the professor wasn't laughing. Quite the opposite, he was glaring at him with a deadly serious expression.

"Something wrong, professor?"

"Eh? Oh, nothing… I was just racking my brains, trying to work out a plan for you to tackle the task tomorrow. And I reckon I've come up with a solution." Upon mentioning it, he took a root from his pocket and laid it in front of him.

"This here is Gillyweed, Potter. Eat it, and you'll be able to swim and breathe underwater for about an hour!"

"Whoa!" Harry couldn't help beaming at him.

"You are a lifesaver, professor!"

The shores of the great lake at Hogwarts were filled with excitement as the second task of the tri-wizard tournament was about to start.

Tanya shared this sentiment, albeit for different motives.

"One final event!" By her estimations, if her next fan event is successful, she will have enough money to emancipate.

"Although it would be more guaranteed if I still had the foals…" Just her luck, she discovered a usefulness for the unicorns and Hagrid decides it's time to take them back.

"My two golden gold-mines, sigh! I am already missing them…" She opted not to allow this to dampen her spirits as, besides the good news about her emancipation, her night and morning had been remarkably pleasant.

"Ooh! Almost twelve hours of no Harry, Luna, Hermione, and Ron around!" She could surmise that one of them is her hostage for this task while Harry probably was somewhere else desperately trying to figure out the egg's clue.

"I could sleep in peace and my morning was blissfully quiet!" Her only company was Fleur Delacour, but the young woman was so nervous she wasn't uttering a single sound.

"The silent beauty type, I remember how I used to have a soft spot for these… as a man!" She was a little down, being reminded of her present lack of interest in such a beautiful woman wearing a swimsuit.

"Sorry Visha, I would have felt nothing…" And also, how in the past, Tanya wished she had seen her adjutant clad in a bathing suit.

"And now, I am the one wearing one! How many critical hits must my dignity suffer?!" The most she could do was minimize the damage. Seeing as she would need a bathing suit to go down the lake, Tanya wanted something as less exposing as possible. She had the idea of getting a 'sukumizu', a traditional Japanese dark blue one-piece swimsuit. As a finishing touch, she sewed a patch with 'G-5' (Gryffindor, year 5) on the front.

"It wouldn't be a true sukumizu if I didn't, damn perfectionism!" In any case, by wearing an ordinary one-piece, she hoped boys would leave her alone. Especially with the gorgeous Fleur so close by.

"Hehehe! All those lewd gazes and all for Fleur!" Her spirits lifted back up as she observed how the male portion of the crowd was entirely focused on the Beauxbatons champion. It was as if Tanya was invisible.

"Aahh! A peaceful morning, alright!"

"I am… here…" She heard Harry finally arrive.

"And here goes my peace!" She mused how long it would take for him to attract his customary troubles.

"I overslept- TANYA?!"

"Hum? What?" The boy stood there agape, staring at her.

"Something wrong?"

"…" He didn't answer, he kept there, devouring her with his eyes.

"You aren't even blinking!" At last, he showed a reaction by blushing scarlet red.

"Ah?" She understood he was mesmerized with her. Her plain swimsuit had gained an admirer.

"H-Harry, stop looking at me with- with those eyes!" Suddenly, she was overly conscious. He alone was worth a hundred eyes on her.

"I-I said… said- GAH! DON'T LOOK AT ME!" She couldn't withstand it any longer, she covered her body as best as she could.

"I knew it! His talent to find trouble is surpassed by his knack to embarrass me!"

She had to withstand the embarrassment for a few more minutes as Ludo Bagman and Dumbledore gave the final instructions, with emphasis about not killing any of the local fauna.

Hearing the signal, she thought of jumping right away into the water to escape Harry's lewd eyes. However, she saw the boy was trembling violently in a similar fashion as when he morphed with the help of polyjuice potion.

"You used another dangerous substance?! For real?!" Apparently, Harry couldn't answer back as he lost the ability to speak. As a matter of fact, it seemed he couldn't breathe outside of water either, judging by his GILLS.

"With all my warning, you- Bah! You are hopeless!" Quickly, before he suffocated, she pulled him with her into the water.

Immediately, Tanya cast a variation of her high altitude formula/spell. The difference being the fact that she wasn't amassing thin air, instead, she separated oxygen from the molecules of water. To move freely underwater, she activated her flight spell and, on a side note, she also added a warming spell to not feel so cold.

At Harry's side, beside gills, he had webbed hands and feet, similar to merpeople. She assumed he used a transfiguration potion or something equally dangerous.

"Let's hope it isn't permanent. I would get more peaceful days but how would I throw Voldemort into this lake?!" She shrugged, then extended her hand to him. Tanya deemed it was best to perform the task together so she could keep a close watch on him.

Fortunately, the lake's depths were so murky Harry couldn't ogle at her any more. They also could barely see anything in front of them, though, it wasn't a problem as, like she suspected, Luna, Hermione and Ron had been selected to be the hostages for this task.

"I will simply track their mana signatures in a straightforward route. It can't get easier than this!" The first task had a menacing dragon, whereas here, the most they had to deal with were a few grindylows. Nevertheless, she should have known anything involving Harry Potter was likely to end up in a mess.

"Hum?" Tanya sensed something awry. A sound reverberated through the waters, followed by an attack of a swarm of merpeople.

"The heck?!" She was taken aback witnessing creatures renowned for their high intelligence behaving the same as frenzied wild animals.

With her teeth gritted, Tanya tried her best to fend them off without resorting to any lethal spell.

"After the dragon, I can't lose more points!" Remembering how she dealt with the first task, Tanya attempted to scare the savage beasts away with killing intent only to result in failure.

"Crap! They are even more irrational than a dragon!" Having lost a bit of her patience, she fired a fully charged blast at a nearby coral. The explosion sent the merpeople into a panic, causing them to scatter.

While taking a breath, she determined this wasn't part of the task as the merpeople were too aggressive to be merely trying to hinder the champions.

"The noise from before, was it some sort of attack?" She couldn't fathom why someone would wish to harm the merpeople.

"Unless…! Could the one who placed Harry's name in the goblet be making a move?!" Tanya's heart raced, registering she had lost sight of Harry during the fight. Without delay, she followed his mana signal and found him, holding an unconscious Fleur Delacour.

"Her wounds aren't life threatening…" Tanya determined with a quick examination and before her bubble-head charm collapsed, she enclosed the part-veela in a large bubble of her own creation. With a gentle push, it slowly began to ascend.

"She will be fine once she reaches the surface-" Immediately, Harry waved and pointed desperately at her back. Swiftly, she turned and cast a knocking hex.

Her spell hit something and Tanya was relieved to see it was a shark.

"A shark?! In a lake?!" Giving it a closer look, she found out the shark had a human body from the chest down.

"Dammit! I can guess who this is." Quickly, she cast another bubble around him, just as his spell faded out to reveal the face of Viktor Krum.

Harry was a bit guilty in his expression. Probably he thought he was to blame for giving her a false alert.

"Nothing to worry about, it isn't against the rules to knock down the other contestants!" She could sense Harry didn't agree with her, given his somber expression.

Continuing with the task, they faced no additional issues with the merpeople. Tanya's demonstration of strength was fresh in their minds, and they observed without interfering as they approached the hostages.

"Ah!" Tanya realized something at the sight of the four unconscious children.

"Who am I supposed to help?" She could exclude Gabrielle Delacour, who is certainly Fleur's hostage. Now, Ron, Hermione and Luna were people who shared an equal relationship to Tanya.

"Hold on, one of them has to be Krum's…"

'You saw me with Viktor Krum!' She recalled that among the three, Hermione was the single one to ever mention being acquainted with the Durmstrang student.

"Oh, so she wasn't lying. She went with Krum to the… Ball!" The realization struck her, the Yule Ball's true purpose was for the judges to identify the most appropriate candidates for hostages.

"Meaning Ron is mine and Luna is Harry's!" Tanya pointed to Harry and then at Luna. He seemed to understand, nonetheless, when she was about to free Ron, he shook his head.

"Knowing him, he wants us to save them all." She was forced to agree.

"We can't leave them defenseless while the merpeople are- !" Tanya sensed a big and aggressive mana signal moving fast in their direction.

"I haven't felt something like this since the basilisk!" Tanya perceived the merpeople weren't wary of her but from the owner of such deadly hostility. Harry hadn't noticed yet, his attention fixed on freeing the hostages.

"We won't be able to escape! Not all of us!" There was no time for any other course of action. Raising her wand, she unleashed a single, lethal spell.

She knew her exploding charm had found its mark by the momentary tremor that ran through the entire lake. Harry turned a perplexed gaze at her, clearly confused about what was going on.

"I will explain on the surface." She waved her hand in a reassuring gesture.

However, Harry's eyes widened as the enormous body floated into their line of sight.

"Eh? Is that…?" Tanya groaned in recognition of what she had unintentionally killed.

"Oh, shit! I am so screwed"

"Would you like more tea, Tanya?"

In response to Fleur's question, Tanya offered her empty cup.

"I will do it!" Gabrielle eagerly took the teapot to pour more for Tanya.

In Fleur's room at the magically enlarged Beauxbatons carriage, this casual tea-party was the way of the sisters to show appreciation for all the help Tanya and Harry gave to Gabrielle.

"We are regretful you couldn't bring Harry. Madame Maxime is rather strict when it comes to inviting boys from outside, especially in consideration of our 'abilities'."

"It is fine. I believe he is celebrating with his friends, anyway." Tanya replied in perfect French. Since Gabrielle didn't speak English, they decided to hold the conversation in the girl's native tongue.

"Oh! I wish this was an occasion for you to celebrate, too!"

"W-well…" What could Tanya say? She was warned what would happen if she broke the rules.

"And I broke it TWICE." First, with a dragon and then… the GIANT SQUID.

Yes, it turned out the powerful creature she killed was the much beloved giant squid.

"How come that overly sized mollusk is so popular?! Some people suggested Azkaban for me!" Thankfully, Harry and the other champions spoke up in her defense, explaining how the inhabitants of the great lake had been overtaken by a sudden outburst of anger.

Not long thereafter, the merchieftainess Murcus, speaking for the merpeople, corroborated their account. And subsequently, it was established that a sonorus charm had been employed to emit a sound deeply distressing to marine life, driving the merpeople and the giant squid into a state of frenzy.

Thus, her charges of 'molluskcide' were dropped. However, this didn't alter the fact that she had violated the rules and had to bear a severe penalty.

"I am so behind that it has become an unachievable dream of winning the prize money." Plus, her fellow students didn't forgive her for killing their beloved unofficial pet. She would have to endure constant glares and murmurs of accusation for some time.

"And this had to happen with my emancipation so close within my grasp…" She highly doubted anyone would pay to have an autograph or shake hands of such a hated princess.

"You gained nothing for saving our hostages! Instead you were penalized… Sob!" Fleur's eyes were full of pity.

"Harry told me you two need the money to get married!"

"H-he did?"

"Please, do not worry! If I emerge victorious, I shall gladly offer you half of the prize to aid in your emancipation."

"Really?! You are too kind!"

"I merely ask for you to invite me to the wedding!"

"Aff!"

"Ah! It's getting late! Gabrielle, if you wish to demonstrate your gratefulness to Tanya, do it now."

"Can I? Thank you!"

"Eh? What are you doing?" Tanya inquired, observing the young Delacour as she extended her open hand in her direction.

"Miss Tanya, I know a magic that will make you very happy!" This declaration left her a little wary.

"… I saw she was practicing the cheering charm earlier. Fleur whispered to her.

"Couldn't she spare a few galleons instead? I am really not in the mood to laugh." Still, it could be seen as rude to turn down their hospitality. And Tanya was grateful for spending an afternoon away from brats whining over a stupid squid.

"Better if you come closer, or I don't think your spell will work." Tanya warned the young girl, remembering her passive shield. Gabrielle got closer until she was touching her chest area.

And this… is the decision she would lament for many years to come. While lying in bed, cradling her FOURTH baby, Tanya will realize how her marriage and the chain of events that followed could all have been avoided if she hadn't deemed it impolite to decline a gift.

"Do you really need to touch-" Gabrille Delacour's hand seemed to briefly get warmer before the heat flowed into Tanya's body.

"A-ah! W-what?!" Tanya fell over on the sofa, her entire body felt like it was set ablaze.

"Gabrielle?! What- WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" She heard Fleur scream.

"I-I did the spell mommy did on daddy to make him happy!"

"I thought you were doing the cheering charm! And by the spell that made father happy- YOU CAN'T MEAN!"

Tanya could barely hear what they were saying so lost in a fever.

"I-it's similar to when… Harry kisses me for too long… and I start wanting him to- Argh!"

"T-Tanya, please! Forgive my sister! She meant no harm!" Fleur stood before her, her hands clasped together in a pleading gesture.

"G-Gabrielle saw an, ahem, INTIMATE moment between our parents and she memorized the spell my mother did on the occasion."

"W-what… sort of… spell?"

"W-well, you see, my father had been suffering from depression and this kind of affected him in other matters and-"

"WHAT DID YOU… TWO DO… TO ME?!" Panting and filled with anger, Tanya asked without bothering to switch to French.

"A spell to cure impotence!"

"I-impotence…? But… I don't have a-"

"Mother mentioned that in these cases, the target will be sent into a state of intense heat…"

"H-heat?! You mean… I am… sexually aroused?! F-FIX IT! HURRY!"

"I can't! I don't have the means!"

"How… long… will this last…?"

" It won't go away until you sate it!"

"S-sate… it?!"

"Y-yes, do you wish me to bring Harry here?"

"D-don't you… dare! W-we didn't… ever go… past kissing!"

"Oh, right! I forgot about the unicorns!" This information left the young woman unsure of what to do.

"I let my guard down! I of all people should know to not underestimate a LITTLE GIRL!"

"Hmm… Ah! I have an idea!" Fleur turned to her sister in a hurry.

"Gabrielle, take care of Tanya, I need to find Luc Millefeuille!" With this last message, she rushed out of the room.

"Did she say… Luc Millefeuille?" Despite her feverish state, she recalled he was the boy from Beauxbatons who had a massive crush on her.

"Does she intend to find me a PARTNER?!" Tanya decided she wasn't going to wait to find out. While Gabrielle was distracted, she exited the room quickly.

Making her way back to the castle, Tanya could barely walk, she was basically dragging her feet and keeping her eyes on the floor so afraid of seeing a boy and leaping at him. She perceived her big mistake after reaching Hogwarts' hall.

"B-boys everywhere!" Regrettably, she couldn't turn back. The best plan she could formulate was to find Professor Snape or Dumbledore, as they had already dealt with a similar problem in the past.

"O-or maybe, I should find a deserted room and try to satiate this with m-mastu- NO! Never in a female body!" She proceeded sluggishly in her search for the teachers, all the while hoping no male would obstruct her path.

Unfortunately, as she turned a corner, the worst happened. The Creevey brothers, in the midst of their conversation, came to a sudden stop as they laid eyes on Tanya.

"N-no! Stay away!" Her fear proved unfounded as they didn't approach her, instead they shot her disdainful glances and walked away in the opposite direction.

With relief, she recalled how almost everyone in the school was angry with her. Meaning all she has to do is avoid any male who remained on friendly terms with her.

"My princess!" She turned to the sound of the voice and was met by Draco Malfoy and his two goons.

She cursed upon realizing they didn't appear to hold any animosity towards her.

"G-go… away…!"

"Don't be like that. We don't care about some rubbish squid! It was a show of strength- Are you okay?"

"I-I… am fine- Eep!" She lost her footing and fell sprawled on the floor.

"Your highness! Hurry you two, help me with her!"

"NO…!" She went into panic as three pairs of hands lifted her from the floor.

"Will I end up in an orgy with three boys- huh?" She was still in the same state but wasn't experiencing any urge towards those three.

"Hum, could it be… that even in heat, only Harry iscapable of awakening those crappy sensations in me?" It appeared to be the case.

"Very well, I merely need to avoid one person." And conveniently, she could use the Slytherins to help her.

"Please… take me… to Professor-"

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO TANYA?!" Harry appeared, looking furious.

"GAH! NOT HIM!" In an impulse, Tanya sought protection with Draco.

"W-W-WHY ARE YOU TWO HUGGING?!" Huffing in anger, the boy rushed to them.

"Harry don't-" It was too late, Harry took her forcibly from Malfoy' grasp.

"KEEP YOUR PAWS AWAY FROM MY GIRLFRIEND!"

"Sod off, scar-face! We merely…"

All the world went mute for Tanya as she began to fight a war inside herself.

"Harry's touch… his smell… the mere sound of his voice…!" Everything about the boy has become an unbearable temptation!

"No… I can resist… I have been a female for almost thirty years, I can resist a few more minutes!" Her intention was to reveal her predicament as soon as the boys' argument came to an end.

"Can't they go any faster…? I have been… thirty years of denying myself the pleasures of life… this is kinda tiring, actually…" Tanya grew impatient sensing her 'war' shifting in the wrong direction.

"Loria…" Seeing no other option, she resorted to her trauma in order to hold her emotions in check.

"I… refuse to… let the same thing happen… Instead of that pig… Harry! He always makes me feel so good!" Lamentably, her strategy backfired splendidly.

"No…! Reason… I am not an animal…" She played her final card, an appeal to her own pragmatic mind.

"… I am an intelligent human being… who would never allow… to have so much pleasureOhhhhh! So much my brain would melt in delight!"

"… go away or I will show the little spell Professor Moody taught me!" The discussion ultimately came to a close as Draco, fearing the possibility of being transformed into a ferret once more, swiftly turned on his heels and fled.

"Tanya are you okay? Did they do anything to you?"

"Harry… I want…"

"Yes?"

"… you!"

"Tanya?! Mmph?!" She kissed him passionately.

"I want to let go of all reason, just this once!" She realized she doesn't need to maintain her emotions in check any longer. And even should she regret later, she has a good excuse.

"Hehehe! I can blame it all on the little succubus!"

Harry on his part, after his initial astonishment at her uncommon boldness, started to answer back.

"Ah?" Before long, she pulled away.

"Can't we do some more?" He asked, full of longing.

"Didn't I say something like this before?"

"Not here… take me… to the room of requirements… HURRY!" Obediently, Harry took her bridal style to the room.

"No, really, this is painfully familiar." Tanya didn't mind his mumbling, as soon as they arrived, she kissed him again.

"Ah?!" Harry exclaimed as she pushed him on a bed and began to unbutton her blouse.

"H-hold on! I definitely saw this before!" Harry's intent gaze focused on her, and his previously content look transformed into one of doubt.

"Tanya! Did you drink another love potion?!"

"… no." Was her short answer.

At last, she unfastened the final button and was about to take out her blouse when Harry stopped her hands.

"Blimey! How many times are you doing this to me?!" Harry's voice carried all his frustration.

"Come, let's find Snape!"

If it was a few minutes ago, she would have agreed with him. However…

"NO!" She couldn't stop any more, the simple thought of it was unbearable.

"Don't… leave me!" She hugged him strongly from behind.

"You said… that you… loved me!"

"And I do! This is why I want to cure you!"

"Harry… I'm being completely sincere… telling you… that I haven't… drank any love potion."

His eyes locked on her in a state of sheer disbelief.

"And why are you panting so hard? No, we are meeting with Snape- mmph!" Tanya kissed him forcefully, she could tell his will was weakening.

"Huhuhu! You are not escaping!"

"Tanya, stop! I can't- EHHHH?!" While they kissed, she finished undressing until she was down to her underwear.

"Come on… You want me… don't you?"

"Y-yes but-"

"And I… want you too."

"T-Tanya, please! I won't be able to hold back!"

"Then… don't… Please… I want you so much… it hurts!" This wasn't a lie, and neither were the tears down her cheeks.

"Take my pain away… make me feel good!" Finally, she discarded her last garments.

"…!" At the sight of her naked splendor, Harry was left utterly awestruck. He had the face of someone who had just abandoned all coherent thought.

"Alright, the last push!"

"Harry… make love to me…"

Barty Crouch Junior left his former home with a sense of triumph, even though his master almost killed him for messing with the second task.

'Imbecile! What if Potter died?!' The dark lord had been concerned of losing prematurely his precious sacrifice but Barty knew the boy would survive.

"Yes, Harry Potter is strong, SHE made sure of that!"

Besides, it wasn't Barty's intention to harm him, that was merely a small revenge for the offensive lies he had the gall to say about his lord.

"Instead, I witnessed something wonderful!" The girl easily killed the all powerful monster king of the lake, the giant squid!

"As expected from the owner of a wand with so much bloodthirst!" Ever since he stole it from her during the quidditch world cup, Barty had been curious about Tanya Degurechaff.

Thus, later, making use of his Alastor Moody persona he began to investigate her.

For starters, he found out how Dumbledore and the majority of the blood traitors saw her as a convenient tool to their cause. They considered her a genius, someone whose theories will revolutionize magic, and that everyone, regardless of blood status, shall reap the benefits from it.

This ridiculous view wasn't shared by the pure-blood side. They pronounced her as the last descendant of a powerful warlock king and whispered their allegiance for when she decides to take over. And about her theories, it was merely a trap to give the mudbloods a false sense of security.

Still, it was what he discovered by himself which truly sent shivers down his spine. To begin with, he cast the Prior Incantato spell on her wand, revealing how she had mercilessly taken the lives of some of his former comrades. Furthermore, in his class, she demonstrated her proficiency in defending against the Unforgivable Curses. Following that, he witnessed her defeat a dragon using fear as a weapon. And lastly, with a single shot, she vanquished the giant squid.

"Oh! What a wondrous powerful witch! She is the culmination of everything the pure-blood supremacy stands for!" And as such, it would be disloyal of him to not point out these findings to his master. Especially considering how his incompetent servant wished for the girl's death.

"No, it would be a waste! This perfect witch was born to become the BRIDE of the supreme wizard!"

'… I shall consider your proposal. Now, return to Hogwarts and no more chances with Potter! He has to be brought to me unharmed!'

There was no doubt in his mind that the dark lord would accept her as his QUEEN.

"Her only flaw is that she has a childish infatuation towards Potter." He had been preoccupied that the boy had disgraced her until the unicorns proved she remained innocent.

"Feh! Anyway, Potter will die, and Tanya Degurechaff will be my ultimate gift to commemorate my lord's resurgence to power!" With these happy thoughts, Barty aparated back to Hogwarts, taking advantage of the marauders' map to ensure he remained concealed from view.

"One last check on the boy and I- What?!" With a jolt, he realized Harry Potter's name was absent from the Gryffindor tower.

"Where is he?!" He panicked at the possibility of losing his master's sacrifice.

"The sun hadn't risen yet, he can't be too far- there!" After a brief search, Barty located the boy's name in an isolated area of the castle… alongside Tanya Degurechaff.

"… curses!" It was evident to anyone what this implied…

"Hum…?" Tanya awoke to the morning sun's first rays streaming through the windows.

"Why didn't I put on my pajamas?" She asked no one in particular, seeing her own state of undress.

"Oh, well, whatever…" In any case, she didn't mind; for some inexplicable reason, she was remarkably invigorated so early in the morning!

"This damn body with its low blood sugar turns me into a zombie for the first hours- eh?" She tried to get up but couldn't.

"What the-" She was aware of a pair of arms holding her down.

"Luna?!" No, evidently this wasn't her usual uninvited visitor. Though she couldn't turn to see, the hands cupping her breast and thigh felt big and hard, much like a boy's.

"Who the hell is on my bed so early- wait… m-my breast and my- GAAAAHHHH!" She jumped from bed totally freaked out.

"W-W-W-W-WHAT IS GOING ON?" She screamed to the top of her lungs seeing the bed's other occupant was also naked.

"Hmmm… Tanya…?" As the boy stirred awakened, she realized who he was.

"H-HARRY?!"

"Good morning- Yawn!" He said, a bright smile on his lips as he stretched his arms.

"Good morning for you too- NOT! Why the hell are you here in my… bed?" Finally, she noticed she wasn't in her room.

"Where are we in the first place?!"

Harry stared hard at her and then, the smile fell from his face.

"You don't remember… so, you really did drink a love potion…" He sounded very sad, almost broken-hearted.

"Love potion?! What love- Ah!" The events of last night come back to her mind.

'Harry… make love to me…'

"ARGHHHH!" She strongly banged her head on the floor in a desperate attempt to keep the memories from returning.

"Harry…" Regrettably, there was a crucial question that demanded an answer.

"… h-h-how f-f-far d-d-did w-w-we g-g-go?!"

"You are asking if we made love?"

She nodded her head, already dreading what his response would be, given how both were drenched in sweat and many other fluids.

"I… we…" A deep blush colored his cheeks as he averted his gaze from her.

"Please, answer me." Nonetheless, she needed to hear the truth with her own ears.

"… no, we didn't."

"Are you sure? If you're worried I'll get upset, I'd rather hear the truth!"

"Tanya, I would never take you under the effects of a love potion! I know you want to have our first time after the wedding."

Tanya let out the biggest breath of relief of her three entire lives! She almost hugged him but reminded herself they were both naked.

"Y-you aren't angry? With the other 'sinful stuff' we did?"

"Let's agree to forget about last night, and I'll forgive you!"

"Hum, sure…"

Tanya felt a little bad for him. She could figure out he was frustrated for losing this unique opportunity.

"And I kind of owe him one now." Given their supposed relationship, no one would blame him for taking advantage of the situation and yet…

"Well, he had his share of enjoyment. He kissed me so much, my mouth- huh?" She furrowed her brow, realizing she was experiencing a peculiar flavor.

"Weird, did I eat anything last night? I have this strong taste in my mouth."

"S-sorry. I think it is me."

"What do you mean?"

Harry seemed bashful and hesitated to answer her.

"Remember, y-you swore to not get angry with me!"

Suddenly, she had a bad feeling about this…

"Since I kept refusing to make love, you suggested we should do the next best thing."

Tanya turned as pale as the sheets of their bed.

"We did- what was the name you said…? It was a number."

"I-I changed my mind! You don't have to tell-"

"Ninety… six? No, it was sixty-"

"GGGGGYYYYYYYYAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" Her scream was so high it was a surprise if no one as far as Hogsmeade heard it.

After Tanya spent about an hour bathing and brushing her teeth in a small bathroom generated by the room of requirements, she and Harry were discretely making their way back to the Gryffindor tower.

"Tanya, can we talk?"

"…" She ignored him in her monumental effort to hide how utterly pissed she was.

"Fucking brat! He… in my mouth- URGH! Of all the humiliations!!!" Feeling far from her best emotionally, Tanya was trying to distance herself from him before she committed ANOTHER act she would regret.

"Tanya, please!" Harry, however, was none the wiser to remain quiet.

"He is so stupid and stubborn-"

'Stubborn boy! Lay down, we will do the next best thing, it's called-' More memories resurfaced on her mind. She was slowly recalling all the embarrassing acts they performed together and, worst, how she LOVED each single second of it.

"Tanya I-"

"SHUT UP! Can't you see that I don't want to talk right now?!"

"But I just-"

"Listen, I want to go back to my room, change my clothes, go to the hall and stuff some food in my… mouth!"

"Ugh!What a bad choice of words!"

"No, YOU will listen to me!" He spoke these words and immediately clasped her arm.

"Hey! Let go of me!"

"Last night was the best night of my entire life! And I know you liked it as much as me!"

"I-I wasn't myself, the little succubus- Gabrielle Delacour had me under a spell!"

"Was it? Or are you using it as an excuse?"

Her face turned crimson as she vividly remembered how, in her irrational state, she had intended to shift all the blame onto the young succubus.

"Oh, Tanya!" Harry chuckled.

"I swear! Your shyness and your 'signals' are going to drive me insane one of these days!"

"You are the one driven insane…? DON'T FUCK WITH ME!" She yanked her arm out of his grasp, and, at long last, she snapped.

"Did it ever occur to you I am not giving any fucking signs?! THAT I DON'T WANT YOU STICKING YOUR TONGUE OR ANYTHING ELSE INSIDE MY MOUTH?!" Amidst her irritation, she hurled every insult her mind could conjure at the unsuspecting boy.

"IDIOT! IMBECILE! MORON! FOOL! STUPID! TROUBLEMAKER! PERVERT! AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH! YOU MAKE ME SO ANGRY THAT I-" With a blink, Tanya regained her sanity.

"What am I doing?! I need him to give me the cloak!" Looking at Harry, the boy was frozen in place from the shock.

Tanya, burying her face in her hands, came to the painful realization that she had thrown out the window all the effort she had put into the past four years.

"How the heck am I going to fix this?" Following a long silence, she decided to begin with an apology and assess the situation from there.

"Harry, I-"

"Tanya! I 'ave found you!"

Tanya flinched as the eldest of the 'succubus sisters' appeared.

"I was frantically searching for you! 'Orrible images in my mind zinking some creep 'ad taken advantage of you!"

"I-I-I am a lot better! I don't need your help!" Tanya had to restrain the impulse to run.

"Eh? Tanya, you told me zat you didn't 'ant to go to 'Arry!" Fleur remarked, her attention drawn to Harry who stood behind Tanya.

"I, err, changed my mind!"

"Unbelievable! After I beseeched Luc Millefeuille to prepare ze antidote!"

"Did she believe I would sleep with- ANTIDOTE?!" Tanya felt like she was struck.

"Millefeuille eez the best potioner of our school but you know 'ow much work it took?"

"There was an ANTIDOTE?!"

Next, Fleur began a long sermon about how she had wasted expensive ingredients and how her worry about Tanya had prevented her from getting a good night's sleep.

The girl, on her part, could care less about the succubus' problems feeling so STUPID!

"THERE WAS A FUCKING ANTIDOTE?!"

"An antidote?" Harry's voice abruptly pulled her from her musings, and she noticed Fleur was no longer nearby.

"You could have cured yourself?"

"I… don't wanna talk about it!" Everything was already painfully embarrassing without her having to acknowledge another misunderstanding.

"It's okay, I understand!" With those words, he drew her into his arms, his smile radiating, and…

"W-wait, what- mmph!" … kissed her.

AN: And here is the death of a beloved character: the giant squid. Hahaha! I didn't trick anyone but for the very few times that this creature was mentioned it seemed to be very well liked.

In the earlier version of this chapter, Tanya was supposed to have sex with Fleur who would fall in love with her. It would come to the point that Fleur would only accept to marry Bill if he allowed Tanya to be her lover.

About Harry and Tanya's night, they definitely didn't have sex, but they did virtually EVERYTHING else.

About Barty's wish to turn Tanya into Voldemort's queen. Not gonna happen. In my opinion Voldemort isn't interested in sex (regardless of what happens in cursed child). It's just that sex is a way for us to pass on our genes since we are bound to die. But Voldemort can't accept his death, also he suffered so much changes that I don't think that he still has any sexual desire left. Lastly, he wouldn't risk having children that may someday overthrow him.

The philosopher's stone, the whomping willow, Peevees, Slytherin's locket, and now, the giant squid. Can someone guess what Tanya is going to destroy next?

Next chapter: Tanya versus Dumbledore! The winner shall become the master of death!
