Sea of Monsters Chapter 6:

The Queen Anne's Revenge

Day 12

The bustling of the crew of pirates rang throughout the ship. Everyone was starting their daily duties aboard, and Drake decided to take the helm and steer the ship for a bit. The pink haired pirate stared at the sea with concern in her eyes. They would have to find an island soon in order to fix the damages to the ship thanks to yesterday's encounter with the Ravenous Dreadlord, but the question is how long it would take for Medea to chart out the closest island.

"Captain Drake? Is everything okay?"

Drake turned to see Mashu standing behind her, and smiled at the Shielder. "Yeah, I'm just thinking about where the next island will be."

"I see…." Mashu muttered. "Oh I have learned something regarding Stheno and Euryale and who was chasing them. Would you like to hear it?"

Drake nodded. "Of course! I've been wondering about that for a few days now."

Mashu walked up to the captain and stared at the sea. "It is a Servant, like the majority of Chaldea's team here, and they're also a pirate, like you."

Drake raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean like me?"

"I do not know why Stheno said it, but Euryale has an idea on why they're being chased." Mashu said. "She theorizes that since they're beautiful Goddesses, they would be worth a fortune of gold each."

Drake laughed. "Sounds like a true pirate! I'd have done the same thing in their shoes!"

Mashu stared at her in shock. "You would have?!"

Drake put a hand up in reassurance. "Relax, I wouldn't sell them as slaves. That'd be taking away their freedom. And we pirates are all about being free, afterall."

"Then…what would you have done?" Mashu asked.

"I'd have them stay with us and make them bait others to try and take them from us." Drake answered. "We'd beat those chasers to a pulp, take their treasure and find the next ship to repeat the process."

"That is not any better…." Mashu muttered.

Drake looked at Mashu with an amused smile. "You really think the world is incredibly black and white, don't you."

Mashu shook her head in denial. "I do not think that. But….I just have complicated feelings on the matter…."

"Tell me about it." Drake said. "Don't worry, I won't judge you."

Mashu took a deep breath. "I….am confused about how good people can do bad things, but people who are considered bad can do good….."

"I believe you're thinking about it in the wrong way." Drake said. "I can't give you an answer to that dilemma. That is something you have to figure out on your own."

"I see….." Mashu muttered.

"However, let me give you some advice." Drake said. "Don't be ashamed to make someone's life view and opinions as your own. But be careful if you do so. If you get careless, you'll lose your true self in the end and be a mindless puppet."

Mashu stared at the pirate in confusion. "I still do not understand."

"Eh, you've got a lot of time to figure it out." Drake said. "Now, how about we talk about something else. We don't want to fizzle out from talking about heavy topics like this all day."

Mashu nodded. "In that case, I do have a few questions if you do not mind."

"Ask away!"

"What do you think of us?" Mashu asked. "The people of Chaldea on your ship, I mean."

Drake rubbed her chin for a moment before nodding and returning her gaze back to Mashu.

"Ritsuka's pretty wise beyond his years." Drake said.

"Yes, Senpai has incredible wisdom." Mashu replied. "He does have some issues, but he is always looking out for us."

"However, the boy's too nice." Drake said. "In practice it's good, but the problem is that it'll definitely cause problems down the line unless he has someone to keep him in line."

"It has worked out for him so far." Mashu countered.

"I didn't mean any time soon." Drake said. "It'll probably be a couple of years down the line."

"And his no-killing policy? We adopted it into our own creed in Chaldea." Mashu said. "What do you think of it?"

"Aye, I heard about that whole policy from Medusa." Drake said. "It's not a bad policy at all. In fact, it would be incredibly useful if you need to negotiate with some people, and it would help limit unnecessary damages. And considering what happened to Ritsuka, I'm not surprised he'd have something like this."

Mashu's eyes widened. "Did someone tell you about it already?"

Drake shook her head. "No one needed to. I could just tell from how Medusa told me about the policy."

"I see…" Mashu muttered. "Well, what else can you tell me about your opinions on us?"

Drake chuckled. "Tatsuko's hilarious and fun to be around. I also find her constantly ogling me to be amusing."

"So you do know about it?" Mashu asked.

Drake grinned and nodded. "It was pretty obvious. I'll be honest, if she was a few years older, I'd have taken her into my bed and had some fun."

Mashu blushed heavily. "D-d-do you have a romantic interest in her?!"

Drake shook her head. "No, I don't. I'd just make it strictly physical."

"But why?" Mashu asked.

"Because even though I like both men and women, I don't want a romantic entanglement." Drake said. "Besides, I think for Tatsuko, her first time should be with someone she's in love with."

Roman appeared on Mashu's communicator with a smile. "I appreciate the fact that you're not trying anything with her due to her age."

"Well she's still too young for my tastes as well, so there's that." Drake said. "However, she's not as peppy and energetic as she tries to act."

"What do you mean by that?" Roman asked.

"I just feel like she's not being entirely honest with herself." Drake said.

"Well in anycase, what about the others?" Mashu asked.

"Well Medusa is definitely smart and strong. I'd definitely want her as part of my crew." Drake said. "Though she's also been a bit too submissive to her sisters since they arrived. And she tends to hold back too much. Eh, I'd still want to bed her though."

"Well who knows, Medusa might be open to that idea." Roman said.

Drake chuckled. "I'll keep that in mind. Now onto that Ushiwakamaru girl. She's definitely upbeat and strong. She's got great instincts, and most importantly, she's also loyal. However, she might be a little TOO loyal. If she didn't come to you guys, I'd say someone would have taken advantage of that. It's like she's too eager to please someone."

"I think you're onto something there." Roman said. "As for the others?"

"Okita's like Tatsuko in that she's fun to be around." Drake said. "She's also a skilled fighter, and quick on her feet. However, she isn't the most attentive person around, ignoring her surroundings or even her own health."

"And Alexander?" Mashu asked.

"Honestly he's the only one without any issues to work out." Drake said. "He's fine the way he is."

"And what about me?" Mashu asked.

"You're a good kid with a good head on her shoulders." Drake said. "You're still starting out on your own journey, so I don't want to form an actual opinion until we know where your journey goes."

Mashu smiled. "Thank you for your kind words."

"No problem." Drake said.

"Hey guys, mind if we join?"

Drake and Mashu looked at the bottom of the railing and saw Ritsuka and Tatsuko looking up at them. After giving them confirmation, the two Masters walked up the staircase and stood beside the pink haired pirate and the lilac haired Shielder.

"You know, I think we should do something to make the day go by faster." Drake said.

"What do you have in mind?" Ritsuka asked.

"How about a sea shanty?" Drake asked.

"I have one, Cap'n!" Bombe said. The pirate looked at the rest of the crew and grinned. "Okay lads, follow my lead!"

The crew nodded, and hummed to the tune that Bombe started.

~Beware, beware, the devil of the sea~

~"Beware" I heard them plea~

~Their cries flying upon the ocean breeze~

~As he sank beneath the waves~

"Not that one!" Drake shouted. "That's too dreary for my tastes!"

"Sorry Cap'n!" Bombe shouted.

"As you should be." Medea said with a scowl. The blue haired Caster looked at the Masters and took a deep breath. "I'm going to go below now to see Asterios."

Before anyone could say anything else, Medea stormed off, opening the door leading below deck, and slammed it shut with a loud thud.

"Wow, she really seemed to be mad." Tatsuko said. "I'll see if I can talk to her later and try to make her feel better."

"Maybe we should do a different shanty…" Drake said. "You know any, Ritsuka?"

"I don't think that would be a good idea…." Ritsuka muttered.

"Well, it was worth a shot." Drake said. "Okay then. Lads, take a small break! The ship won't be needing any cleaning or scrubbing for a bit, so just go get some grub, get a drink, talk to each other, have some alone time, do whatever you want!"

The crew cheered and scattered around the ship. Some remained on the deck to chat while others went below. The Chaldean Trio decided to leave the captain's side and walked towards Medusa. Before she went down the steps, Mashu stopped and turned to face Drake with a smile on her face.

"Thank you for your time, Captain Drake." Mashu said. "I will take your advice to heart."

Drake grinned and nodded at the Shielder. The lilac haired girl then resumed her march towards Medusa as she caught up with the two Masters. Drake continued to watch them for a few moments as they spoke to the Rider, until she returned her gaze upon the sea.

"Ritsuka…..I….have….a…question…." Asterios said. "Do….you…understand…what…..the….white….cat…says?"

"You mean Fou?" Ritsuka asked. "Not really. In fact not even Mashu can really understand him yet, and she's known him for a year."

Two hours passed since Drake called for the break, and most of the crew were back at their stations on standby. Those that weren't were still on break since they were not on high alert for now. Because of this, some of the Chaldean Servants decided to remain down below as well, with Medea still down below deck. An hour after she left, Asterios came up to the deck, and oddly enough, was not accompanied by Stheno or Euryale. Which brought them to the current time. Mashu looked around and raised an eyebrow as she noticed someone was missing.

"Has anyone seen Fou?" She asked.

"I haven't." Ritsuka said.

"Neither have I." Tatsuko replied. "But now that you mention it, where's Jack the monkey?"

The fluffy mane of Asterios started to rustle and shift. The Trio watched in confusion and suspicion as it continued until Fou and Jack the monkey popped out from the center of the Berserker's mane.

"Fou!"

Mashu and Tatsuko giggled as the two animals stared at them happily snug in Asterios's mane. Ritsuka couldn't help but grin in amusement as he saw a small, childlike smile on the Berserker's face.

"Did you sneak them into your hair?" Ritsuka asked.

Asterios shook his head. "No…..but….I…do…not…mind…. They…..are….cute….and…..warm…."

"You're not wrong on that." Ritsuka said.

"Say Asterios, did Medea talk to you a couple of hours ago?" Tatsuko asked.

Asterios nodded. "She….seemed…..upset….but…..became….happy….when…..we…talked."

"It would seem Captain Drake and Medea do not like particular songs ….." Mashu muttered.

"Hey Asterios, why did you ask if we could understand Fou?" Ritsuka asked.

"Because…..I…hear…him….speak….."

The Trio stared at the Berserker in shock. He could understand Fou?! If this was true they could finally figure out what he's been saying!

"Can you tell us something he said recently?" Mashu asked. "I have always been wanting to know what he says."

Asterios looked down at Fou, as if he were a child asking permission for something. Fou looked up at Asterios and gave a short nod, giving the Berserker permission. Asterios turned his attention to the Chaldean Trio with an innocent smile.

"He….loves…...the…cloak….Mashu…made…for…him…" Asterios said. "It…keeps….him…warm….and….it….is….filled….with….love…."

Mashu smiled and patted Fou on the head. As that was happening, the pirate operating the crow's nest looked around for anything out of the ordinary. It was when he turned to his left did he see something off in the distance that made him widen his eyes.

"Cap'n, there's a ship coming on our port!"

Drake immediately looked and saw the ship coming. She took out her spyglass and scowled as she saw the ship.

"Sound the alarm! It's those fuckers!"

One of the crew members ran below deck to inform the crew to get to their stations. As that was happening, Drake walked towards the Chaldean Trio and Asterios, still scowling at the approaching ship. Fou and Jack the monkey left Asterios and returned to their caretakers, but the Trio stared at Drake in confusion.

"What's going on?" Ritsuka asked.

"That's the ship that chased me and my crew before we met you."

The Chaldean Trio stared in surprise as the rest of the Servants came onto the deck, ready for a fight.

"Who are we fighting?" Mashu asked.

Roman appeared on Tatsuko's communicator and gulped. "Guys, you're not going to like this…..but judging by the ship, and that Jolly Roger, we have confirmed that this is the Queen Anne's Revenge."

"Queen Anne's Revenge?" Tatsuko's eyes widened. "Wait, you mean we're about to fight Blackbeard?!"

"It doesn't matter who he is." Drake said. "I'm blasting a hole through that bastard!"

"Then you will need this." Mashu said. The Shielder threw the Holy Grail to Drake, allowing it to return to its rightful owner. The sound of multiple beeps blared through the communicator, causing Roman to widen his eyes.

"Guys, I'm sensing multiple Heroic Spirits on that ship!"

Everyone turned their attention back to the ship. It was very large, with the Jolly Roger depicting a skeletal figure with a chalice in its right hand and a spear in the left pointing towards a large heart. And standing at the bow of the incoming ship was obviously a Servant. He was an incredibly tall, powerfully built man, with a large purple overcoat covering his bare torso with two animal skulls inlaid with emeralds and rubies in the eye sockets as his pauldrons . He wore golden bands across on right arm, and a golden gauntlet on his left that held a strange looking hole at the top. Around his neck was a golden necklace with a ruby in the center, and around his waist was a belt inlaid with sapphires and emeralds. On his hip was a large cutlass, its handle and hand guard were made of bone. Okita and Ushiwakamaru noted a slight oddity in the handle, as it had cloth wrapping done in the style of katanas. Fittingly enough, the blade itself was large, just like him. He had large eyebrows and a large nose, with sunken, black eyes. However, the long blackbeard made it obvious as to who this person was.

"I finally have a face to that bastard's voice…." Drake said. "I hope you're ready for round two, you cur! Because I'm going to wipe the floor with you!"

The man said nothing. Drake stared at him in confusion as Euryale and Stheno started to try and sneak behind everyone. The man did not see them yet, but Drake was starting to get irritated.

"Hey! Are you listening to me, you big hairy oaf?!"

The man looked down at her and put a hand to his ear. "Can you repeat that? My ears don't pick up old-hag noises!"

The Chaldean's and the crew's eyes widened in shock. Did he seriously call Drake old?!

"What. Did. You. Just. Say?" Drake asked.

"I guess your hearing must be getting worse in your old age!" The man said. Drake's eyes twitched as she reached for her pistols.

"You've got a lot of guts, you fucking bastard." Drake snarled.

"And you no longer have any from what I've heard." The Servant said. "Seriously, you've been running everywhere!"

"Wow, this guy really is Blackbeard." Tatsuko said. "He just went straight for the throat!"

Edward Teach ignored Tatsuko's remark and looked around the Golden Hind. His eyes soon found the two twins, causing his eyes to widen and beam, as a smile formed on his face.

"You two really are here, Euryale-chan! Stheno-chan! Oh, so cute! Cute! Kawaii!"

Everyone raised an eyebrow, or stared in shock. Did he just say that?

"Oh, step on me, too! Barefoot! Step all over me! I want to be treated like a cockroach!" He shouted.

(CV and OC puke into buckets)

Stheno and Euryale then hid behind Asterios, with Medusa coming to his side, glaring at Teach. The black-bearded Servant clicked his tongue in frustration. "You two get out of the way! Show me, show me, show me, Euryale-chan and Stheno-chan! Wait…..no, the taller girl can stay where she is. She looks familiar."

"You're disgusting." Medusa snarled.

Teach stared at her for a moment before chuckling. "Well well, looks like the younger sister is here too!"

"It's ruined." Tatsuko muttered. "My image of the fearsome pirate Blackbeard is in ruins….."

"Well you don't look so kawaii either, kid." Teach said. "My nakama are more impressive in that regard."

Everyone looked at the pirate Servant with silent shock and disgust. Tatsuko's shoulders sank as reality dawned on her.

"Oh my god…..he's a fucking weeb!" Tatsuko shouted.

"Like you're one to talk!" Teach said. "Oh yes, I can tell you and I are alike in many respects. So come, join the weeb side of the crew!"

Tatsuko shivered. "He speakeths the cringe!"

"This…..this is just….wrong." Mashu said. "I refuse to accept that this is Blackbeard!"

Teach saw the Shielder and grinned warmly. "Oh you are so kawaii! Though you should probably do something about your bangs though. If that other guy were here, he'd be swooning….who was that again? Oh right it was Bartholomew who had that creepy fetish. Now, what's your name?"

"I refuse to answer that!" Mashu shouted. The Shielder then ran behind Ritsuka, clutching his sleeve as she shook like a leaf. "Please save me, Senpai! The goose bumps just will not stop popping up."

"Shh. There there." Ritsuka said as he gave his kouhai gentle head pats. As he did so he turned his gaze to Teach, and glared at the Servant. "Did you have to do that?"

Teach looked at the young teen with a hint of offense. "What? I was just asking her name because she gave a crew member of mine some trouble! Nothing more!"

Before anyone could think as to who he was referring to, two Servants came up beside Teach, the two Servants stared at the Chaldeans with contempt.

"Did you miss us?" Gunnhild asked.

"Oh shit, it's Gunnhild and Eric Bloodaxe!" Tatsuko shouted.

"Good to know you remember who we are this time." Eric Bloodaxe said.

"If you two are part of his crew, then how come we never saw this ship when we made first contact with you?" Medea asked.

Gunnhild smirked. "We were scouting for the two goddesses for the captain here on our own ship."

"And now we're going to pay you back for humiliating us last time." Eric Bloodaxe said.

"Now hand over Stheno-chan and Euryale-chan." Teach said. "Or be prepared to be boarded. No negotiations."

The Chaldeans and the crew of the Golden Hind looked at each other and nodded. They knew what their answer would be. And they knew what they had to do.

"The answer is no." Ritsuka said. "Now, I'd quote something from a mecha anime about how you just made us refuse, but I won't, so how about you just leave and never come back?"

Blackbeard grinned. So the boy was a fan of mecha anime? He knew just how to get under his skin now…

"Mecha anime is terrible in general and Isekai harems are supreme!"

Silence filled the air as the Chaldean Servants looked at Ritsuka and Mashu. None of them could actually believe the enemy Servant actually said it. But he did, and the male Master's and Shielder's eyes twitched in barely contained fury.

"Did you just say what I think you said?" Ritsuka asked.

Teach and the two viking Servants raised an eyebrow in confusion as Ritsuka clenched his fists tightly and glared at the Rider.

"The mecha anime is one of the oldest anime genres around." Ritsuka hissed. "It is one of the longest running ones too, having been created before I was born."

"It is also one of the most successful anime genres as well since many more mecha anime have been produced since then, and they continue to touch the hearts and souls of millions." Mashu added.

"And you dare say something like fucking Isekai is better than that?" Ritsuka asked in a cold monotone voice. "Oh no. No no no. That's not going to fly with us."

"There are consequences to uttering such words here." Mashu said coldly.

The two mecha enthusiasts pointed at the Rider and roared in unison. "We are going to make you regret uttering such blasphemy!"

"I think I may have gone a little too far…" Teach said.

Eric Bloodaxe smiled sympathetically at the Rider and patted him on the shoulder. "I hate to say it, but you did…."

"Mashu, get ready to kick that guy's ass!" Ritsuka shouted.

"Gladly!"

"Okay ladies and gentlemen, get ready for a fight!" Teach shouted. Not a second after, cannons from both ships fired upon each other. As the smoke got thicker, Teach a group of Servants leapt onto the Golden Hind, both looking for the twin Goddesses. The two of them ran towards them, but two of them broke off to go for the Masters.

Drake and Alexander attacked Edward Teach from both sides, forcing the Rider to stop and block their attacks. He clicked his tongue in annoyance as he looked at his two remaining comrades. "Go get the Goddesses. I'll handle these two!"

Eric Bloodaxe did not waste even a second. Viking Berserker charged headfirst towards the twins, but Asterios got in between them, readying his weapons. Eric Bloodaxe raised his axe at Asterios, but the larger Berserker stopped the blow by grabbing Eric's weapon by the handle, and punched him in the face. Eric Bloodaxe growled and swung his axe again as Asterios raised his lambdry's and clashed with him.

As that was happening, the two Servants that were after Ritsuka and Tatsuko were nearly close to them. One of the Servants took out a large musket to fire at them, but Mashu intercepted the blast with ease.

"Not bad at all." The Servant said. A tall, incredibly buxom woman who wore a red overcoat and pirate hat. She had blonde hair and brown eyes full of mischief. Her black shirt cut down to her navel showing off her impressive cleavage. On her hat was a pair of fake black bunny ears. In her hand was a musket that she aimed at the sky to get a good look at the Trio. Her partner, on the other hand, was much shorter and more petite, with white hair and blue eyes. Like Drake, she had a large scar that ran down her face. And like her partner, she had a pair of fake bunny ears on, but also a fake bunny tail. Her white one piece suit was covered by a black jacket as she held a large, broad cutlass in her right hand. The blonde haired woman stared at the Trio with half-lidded eyes and smiled.

"Oh, aren't you three a group of cuties?" She said as she licked her lips. "I just want to take them with us alongside those two Goddesses. Wouldn't that be great, Mary?"

"Personally I think we should play with these three in one session, Anne." The white haired girl said.

"Wait….are you two Anne Bonny and Mary Reed?" Mashu asked.

"That's us!" Anne said. "Oh I just can't wait to have some….adult fun with you three."

"Okay, I'm getting serious red flags from those two." Ritsuka said.

"Mine are crimson." Tatsuko replied.

"I…..do not get it." Mashu said.

"Don't worry about it!"

The two enemy Servants leapt out of the way as Medusa swung her Nameless Daggers at them.

"Oh you're such a buzzkill." The blonde haired woman said.

"We just wanted to have some fun." The white haired woman replied.

"And you two need a cold bath." Medusa countered. "Mashu, back me up."

Mashu nodded and launched herself at the white haired pirate as Medusa took on the blonde haired one. As that was happening, Medea continued to focus on reinforcing the Golden Hind's strength, and protecting the damaged portion of the ship. During this time, she also had to contend with Gunnhild fighting her from the Queen Anne's Revenge. However, unlike their first encounter, Medea was having a harder time facing the blonde Caster. The blue haired woman couldn't think as to why this was happening, she should be better than this. Something was wrong here.

"I know what you're thinking. You're thinking that you should be able to handle this, right? Well I hate to break it to you, but you're wrong."

The blue haired woman and the two Masters turned to see a man with a green tunic, white pants and black cape. He had brown hair tied into a wolf tail, and black eyes. On his right arm was a black metal gauntlet, but the most shocking feature was the black and gold sword-spear he wielded. The moment Ritsuka and Medea saw it, their eyes widened in horror.

"You're Hektor." Medea said.

"That's me!" The brown haired man said. He then turned to face the Masters with a smile. "You guys had a good idea, but unfortunately, I'm going to have to cut it short."

Ushiwakamaru and Okita suddenly appeared before the Lancer, and swung their blades high and low. Hektor swung his spear and used the haft to block both blades in their tracks. The Lancer then proceeded to use the spear to shift their weight, and threw them down to the ground. The Rider and Saber got back up for another attempt to attack him. Ushiwakamaru tried to cut off Hektor's head while Okita tried cutting his legs, but the Lancer blocked the Saber's strike with the pommel of his spear while blocking the Rider's with the blade of his spear. Hektor punched Ushiwakamaru in the face while kicking Okita away. They did not stay down, however, and leapt at him together once more, causing him to sigh.

"I don't get paid enough for this."

As that was happening, Teach punched Alexander in the gut, knocking the younger Servant down. Drake was soon upon the enemy Rider and attempted to cut him down. Teach simply blocked the strike with his cutlass, and kept their blades locked in place.

"I'll be taking that grail off you as well." He said.

Alexander's eyes widened in horror. "You can't take it! It's from this era!"

"So? It's still treasure boy." Teach countered. "And you know how we pirates love our treasure."

Alexander slowly got up and gripped his blade tightly. He had to prevent him from getting it, if it was the last thing he did. Alexander charged at the larger Rider, and pierced his blade into his back.

"Seriously? Did you really think I'd go down THAT easily?"

Alexander's eyes widened in shock as Edward Teach was still alive. The larger Rider used his body weight to throw Alexander into Drake, knocking them down to the ground. As they got up, they surveyed the fight between the ships and clicked their tongues in frustration. While the Golden Hind wasn't getting damaged thanks to Medea's reinforcement spell, the Queen Anne's Revenge wasn't taking any damage either. After a few seconds, the two of them got back up and tried to attack Teach on both sides. However, Teach raised his free hand, and a large, serrated hook came out from his gauntlet, blocking Drake's blade while Teach parried Alexander's blade. Teach then flicked his left wrist, catching Drake's blade inside the hook before sending her down to the ground. Teach then slashed Alexander's sword arm, causing the Rider to grunt in pain. The enemy Rider kicked the young boy away, now focusing on Drake. The pink haired woman was already up and moving, swinging her blade masterfully to block an incoming strike, and managed to land a blow to Teach's shoulder. Drake then finally went on the offensive, launching flurry after flurry of blows, hitting the enemy Rider in multiple areas, from arm to cheek. Drake raised her blade to finally pierce his chest, but through some twist of fate, Teach blocked it at the last second.

"I'm going to level with you here." Teach said. "Me blocking that was just dumb luck."

The enemy Rider proceeded to take the opportunity to go low, sweep his serrated hook into Drake's legs, and slash into her thighs. The pink haired pirate did not utter a sound due to shock. Before Teach could attack her further, Alexander sliced into the enemy Rider's side, only to get cut by the hook into his torso. Alexander fell to the ground, causing Ritsuka and Tatsuko to watch in concern. They watched as each battle raged on, and it was pure chaos. Edward Teach was dominating his battle against Drake and Alexander. Hektor was handling both Ushiwakamaru and Okita with ease. Asterios was fighting Eric Bloodaxe, with the enemy Berserker landing more hits on the larger Servant, but Asterios was holding his own, and gaining ground. Medea was now able to fight Gunnhild without any issue, but the enemy Caster was not easily defeated. Only Mashu and Medusa were dominating their opponents, but Mashu's lack of speed and her larger weapon made it slightly difficult for her to maneuver.

Roman then appeared on the communicator with a frantic expression. "Guys, there's another Servant inbound!"

The two Masters looked at each other and nodded. It was now or never.

Tatsuko turned to Medea. "We have to get out of here now!"

"I'll get everything ready!" Medea shouted. The Caster proceeded to blast Gunnhild with a torrent of magic energy, shooting her back to the Queen Anne's Revenge, knocking the blonde Caster unconscious. Medea then proceeded to bring out the Teleportation Mystic Code, and tried to focus her energy on where to go.

Hektor disengaged from his battle with the two Japanese Servants and rushed towards Medea. "Sorry, but I really can't let you do that!"

Ushiwakamaru and Okita were quicker than him, however, and attacked him from the front. Hektor sighed in defeat as Okita swung her blade towards his neck, forcing him to block the strike. Okita thrusted at an opening towards his chest, but Hektor knocked her down with his spear. Ushiwakamaru used the opportunity to try and cut his head, but Hektor dodged the attack and thrusted his spear. The Rider deflected the attack and swung her blade to her opponent's legs. Hektor caught the attack with his spear and deflected the blade away. He swung it down but Ushiwakamaru blocked the attack quickly. Hektor swiftly shifted their weight, and slammed the haft of his spear into Ushiwakamaru's gut. The Rider was thrown off balance and knocked back into Okita, the two of them struggling to get up. With them both down, Hektor lunged at Medea with his spear, causing the two Masters and the Caster to go pale as time slowed down for them.

"Looks like I made it just in time."

CLANG!

Everyone's eyes widened as a man with red hair in a black cloak and dark mask blocked Hektor's spear with a sword. Everyone looked at him as if he came out of nowhere, but it was all apparent what was happening.

This guy was the Servant Roman was mentioning not a few seconds ago.

The mystery Servant then disengaged his blade from the spear, sheathed his sword, and proceeded to punch Hektor twice. The blows were enough to send Hektor flying into the air and hitting the deck of the Queen Anne's Revenge.

The mystery Servant proceeded to leap into the air towards Mashu and Medusa. The man landed on top of Mary's head, confusing the white haired woman on what was going on, when she suddenly saw Anne get kicked towards the sails of the Queen Anne's revenge. The blonde Servant hit the deck next with a loud thud. Mary swung her cutlass atop her head to get at the mystery Servant, but he leapt into the air again, and kicked her straight into the Revenge's mast. Medusa could only glare at the masked Servant in annoyance as he stared at Eric Bloodaxe.

The masked Servant proceeded to make a quick dash towards Eric Bloodaxe, and with one punch, blasted him back to the Queen Anne's Revenge. Edward Teach proceeded to bring out a pistol and shot at the red haired Servant. The masked man dodged the round, and rushed towards the enemy Rider. Teach proceeded to shoot at him more, but the mystery Servant dodged and ducked under every shot, before leaping onto one of the masts. The man then launched himself at the enemy pirate but had to disengage as more rounds were fired.

"You're a speedy little guy, aren't you?" Teach said.

"I had to be. Lives were at stake everywhere I went."

Teach widened his eyes in shock as the man appeared right behind him, grabbed him by the coat, and threw him back to the Queen Anne's Revenge, hitting Eric Bloodaxe in the process.

The masked Servant ran towards Medea. "I know where you should take this ship to."

Medea nodded. "Where?"

The masked man leaned in and whispered into her ear. Medea nodded and raised the teleportation Mystic Code high. The air cackled with red lightning for a few moments, before the sound of a thunderclap rang through the air.

A second later, the Golden Hind vanished into thin air.

The Servant crew of the Queen Anne's Revenge groaned as they slowly got up.

"You okay, Bloodaxe?" Teach asked as he got off of the Berserker.

"Yeah, I'll be fine." Eric Bloodaxe answered. "That damned big Berserker they have on their side is annoying though."

Gunnhild growled in anger. "And I REALLY hate that blue haired Caster bitch!"

"Well, in my defense, I almost killed her for you." Hektor said with a strained groan. "But that masked Servant came out of nowhere."

"He's fast too." Teach said. "He probably used his Kekkei Genkai and-"

"Oh will you just shut up already?" Mary asked.

Teach pinched the bridge of his nose in defeat. "What I'm trying to get at Mary, is that guy is going to be a problem."

The Rider turned to Hektor with a knowing gaze. "I trust that you'll come up with something to take care of him."

Hektor sighed. "I'm too old for this…"

The thunderous clap of the teleportation spell caused everyone but Medea and the masked man to lurch and fall to the ground. As everyone slowly got up, they all took a look at the ship, and saw that it did not receive any further damage. Medea's reinforcement spells held up incredibly well, but the fact that they could not make a dent in the Queen Anne's Revenge did not sit well with them. The sound of pained groaning caused Euryale to look around, and widened her eyes in horror as she found the source.

"Asterios!"

The Archer ran towards the Berserker and looked at the injuries. Euryale breathed a sigh of relief as she saw the wounds were relatively minor, but lost quite a bit of blood. Medea saw this, and immediately rushed to her cousin's side and applied her healing spells on him. As that was happening, Ritsuka went over to Drake and Alexander, and applied healing spells to the two of them at the same time.

"Okay, so the plan went well." Ritsuka said. "However, it almost went south."

"It nearly failed because of that Lancer." Ushiwakamaru.

"Well you and Medusa came up with a solid plan, regardless." Tatsuko said.

"So you all telepathically communicated with each other to formulate a strategy." The masked man said.

"Aye, Medea opened it up so we could all speak while Teach and his ship were coming into view." Drake said. "We were to fight the enemy, observe how they fight, and then we retreat."

"Only for Hektor to see right through that." Okita said. "I can't believe he took both me and Ushiwakamaru on, and still trounced us….."

The masked man put a hand on the Saber's shoulder reassuringly. "Don't beat yourself up over it. If you two didn't stall him at all, Princess Medea most likely would have perished, and escape would have been near impossible."

Mashu bowed politely. "Thank you for helping us against Edward Teach and his crew."

The man chuckled and shyly rubbed his arm. "Please don't bow. I don't think I did anything special."

"Are you kidding?" Alexander asked in disbelief. "You took them all down with so much ease!"

"If you really wanted to help, you should have used that particular Noble Phantasm of yours." Medusa said in annoyance.

Ritsuka raised an eyebrow. "What are you talking about? And why are Stheno and Euryale staring at him in annoyance like that alongside you?"

The three Gorgon sisters continued to stare at the man in annoyance. After an awkward silence, Medusa sighed and took a deep breath.

"Why are you here, Perseus?"

Everyone else barring the sisters stared at the masked man in shock. The red haired Servant sighed and slowly took off his mask. The moment he did so, they all saw his bright green eyes, and his shy smile as he waved shakily. "Hi…"

Alexander beamed and squeed. "Holy cow, I'm meeting THE Perseus in the flesh! Oh! My name is Alexander, I'm a son of Zeus too!"

Perseus's smile grew brighter. "Really now? Then that would make us half-brothers!"

"I think this touching family reunion will have to wait." Stheno said coldly. "Where are we headed?"

Perseus pointed to his left. "I asked Medea to bring us to where I was summoned."

Everyone turned to see where he was pointing, and the moment they did so, the Gorgon sisters eyes widened in surprise. It was an island with a beautiful beach, luscious woodland areas, with birds flying from the tree line. However, for most of the people on the ship, a sense of foreboding and danger filled the air. Something was definitely strange about this place.

However, the three Gorgon sisters couldn't help but grin.

"I do believe we found our salvation." Stheno said. "Wouldn't you agree, other me?"

Euryale nodded. "I do believe we did, other me."

Medusa turned to Perseus and chuckled. "You definitely gave us the best place to protect ourselves, that's for certain."

"Where are we?" Ritsuka asked.

Medusa turned to the Masters and did a mock bow. "Welcome to the Shapeless Isle."

CV: And another chapter's done. So how about… Everything alright Owen?

(OC continues to vomit into the bucket): I'll be okay. I'm still having stomach issues because of Blackbeard…..God the cringe…..

CV: Oh yeah, that was a tough one to write wasn't it?

OC: I'll say. I still can't believe we managed to tone it down from how bad he was in the game during Okeanos. Yeah that's right folks, we actually lessened his cringe from Okeanos down to manageable levels. We wanted to make him more like how he was in Servant Fes, but also keep his cringey nature from Okeanos because that way the Chaldeans would actually be okay wanting to kick his butt lol.

CV: I honest to god wouldn't have tolerated the same Blackbeard from the game Okeanos here, so a change had to be made.

OC: And tolerated him you did not. Hell I remember when I first saw him there and it made me HATE him for so fucking long. Heck I was even pissed at the writers for turning one of the most feared pirates in history…..into…that thing. Thankfully I warmed up to him in Servant Fes, and now I consider him a bro. They actually did him justice there.

CV: So here we tried to balance what wasn't so cringe in game with our own added flavor, and I think we did a good job at it.

OC: Yeah, and it's a funny thing. Okeanos is where it introduced him as one of my most hated Servants until Servant Fes. But it was actually because of him that I started to like Mashu more and more. The moment she just noped away from him and asked us to help her, it just made me see her as the adorable eggplant she is. And we gave her headpats. And she deserves all of them alongside a certain corgi.

CV: Still a bit for Corgi to show up though. I mean we could just open a portal and drop her in Chaldea, but I don't think Boss would like that.

OC: She would not. Heck she's still wondering how the Ravenous Dreadlord got into the studio last week. If she can't figure it out, then you know it's bad.

CV: Don't worry about that, I just dropped it on top of another one of its kind. They're still fighting as we speak.

OC: Nice. And now onto the rest of the chapter. For scene one we once more decided to make it the calm before the storm, and we actually expanded on Drake's and Mashu's friendship from the game. Instead of just quick words of advice, Drake actually took the time here to talk a bit of morality with her, and gave her own opinion. As for her being okay with Ritsuka's no killing rule? Well that's because even though she's a ruthless pirate, she understands showing mercy is much more wise in the long run because it shows the prisoners that they don't have to fear them. And it could lead to the pirates getting more money. She's pragmatic that way.

CV: I'll say that it fits their goals of getting more wealth. But at the same time it would've been cool to have a moment where she jumps in between a bunch of enemy pirates and goes full Devil Trigger mode with her guns.

OC: While I do agree that would be cool, she's still a mortal woman. If she dies, then human history goes down with her.

CV: We can bring them back to life right?

OC: We'd have to ask the boss on that one. We have to get permission for some people. Now onto the next part. We finally confirmed that yes, Drake knows Tatsuko has been ogling her with lewd eyes, but instead of getting creeped out, Drake takes it in stride and admits she's amused mainly because she knows Tatsuko also respects Drake as a person and has her boundaries. And for those concerned about her comment of bedding her if she grew up, she meant IF she was already an adult. Tatsuko is still a kid in her eyes, so she refuses to even consider any casual sex with her on principle.

CV: So sorry everyone, there will be no 6 hour cutscene of Tatsuko and Drake doing the deed.

OC: 6 hours? Dang Tatsuko really is a rookie. Okay okay, jokes aside, Drake also decided to give her opinions on the Chaldeans, and she had more good things to say than bad. She definitely wanted to point out their flaws because no one is perfect, but she made it apparent that these issues can be easily overcome. She's one of the first people to note that Ritsuka's compassionate nature is good, but it might lead to more harm than good at some point. And she's right about that, because being this overly compassionate person might sound good for a game character, but unfortunately, lots of people in the game would have realistically exploited that to hell. So it's good she pointed out how it would possibly be a detriment.

CV: Like a certain blonde Beast is currently doing in the JP side. Can't blame him tho, I would also stick around just to see what would happen.

OC: Let's….not go there. Anyway, now onto Scene two. And holy shit there's a lot to unpack. We already mentioned Blackbeard's cringe factor, so we should discuss the other parts. Before anyone asks, no, Blackbeard doesn't actually hate Mecha Anime. He just noticed Ritsuka saying he's a fan of the genre, and wanted to get under his skin so Ritsuka would make a mistake and give Teach the victory. However, what he didn't take into account, was that he just pissed off not just Ritsuka, but also Mashu. Vlad and I decided to have them go on a rant about the glory of mecha anime not only to show they are also otaku like Teach and Tatsuko, but also because we thought it would be hilarious if they shared the same brain cell. And boy did they deliver on that!

CV: This is the moment where their brain cells begin to merge into one.

OC: And it led to perhaps one of the most difficult fights we have ever done. But before we do, we would like to apologize for how late this chapter came out. Scene one was finished literally in a day, and so usually what happens is that we tend to take the next day off after that to relax, unfortunately we had to skip doing scene two for two days instead due to scheduling conflicts at the time. Then we could barely start scene three at all on the third day. On the fourth, we wrote the majority of the scene, but something came up and we had to end it early, so scene two wasn't even done until yesterday. Good thing too, because we REALLY needed to rewrite that whole fight sequence. It was an absolute mess, too quick, and it was sloppy. So we had to buckle down, and fix it, and fix it we did because we didn't want to let you all down. We try to get things done on time, but these things happen, and NO ONE is at fault here. Just shitty timing, nothing more.

CV: A lot of things happened this week and we couldn't get everything done in time, but we finished it.

OC: And the fight looks much better. We had Drake and Alexander fighting Blackbeard, who by the way, got another change in appearance thanks to Vlad. The cutlass was something we wanted to implement, and here was the perfect opportunity. As for the hook? We switched hands on it because it's more practical that way. And he still used it to devastating affect here.

CV: I wanted to give him a slightly more intimidating look if that makes any sense.

OC: It does make sense. And for the fight between Hektor and the two Japanese Servants, we wanted to show that no matter how skilled they are, there is still someone stronger. And Hektor is that fucking roadblock. He knew what the Chaldeans were planning, and he made sure to try and cut off their attempts to escape, and kicked Ushi's and Okita's ass in doing so.

CV: Lances beat swords, what can I say.

OC: True. As for the Chaldean's plan on escaping? Yeah they were planning on running anyway because again, we want Chaldea to be SMARTER here. In the game they just keep charging first into fights and get their asses kicked. They never THINK before they do anything, so here we did the opposite, they planned on running, only for Hektor to nearly ruin that. However it also gave us one of the most badass heroic entrances we have made in Chronicles…Perseus coming in like fucking Batman and kicking ass!

CV: The Lightning Thief! Oh wait wrong one.

OC: Close. Now for those who know how he was going to be in Prototype might be wondering how we're going to portray him here, because Nasu had an idea for him. Well he's not going to be like he was going to be in Prototype where he's more morally dubious. Instead, we are going with how he is portrayed in the actual myths. We're making him kind, loyal, and while a little ruthless to his enemies, compassionate. Why are we doing this? Okay, I'm sorry, but Vlad, can I please go on my first rant against Type Moon portrayals? Because it's time people know how I feel about certain points like this, and I want to not have to be on a filter.

CV: Sure, go ahead.

(OC takes a deep breath): THEY WERE GOING TO FUCKING BUTCHER HIS CHARACTER! Perseus was THE most heroic Demigod in Greek Mythology, and what were they going to do? THEY WERE GOING TO MAKE HIM A GLORY SEEKER AND KILL MEDUSA FOR THAT REASON INSTEAD OF IT JUST BEING TO SAVE HIS MOM! THEY ONLY DID IT TO MAKE MEDUSA LOOK SYMPATHETIC AND LOOK GOOD, WHEN THEY COULD HAVE FUCKING DONE BOTH! LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK NASU?! YOU COULD HAVE MADE PERSEUS THE EXACT SAME AS HE WAS IN GREEK MYTHOLOGY, AND STILL MAKE MEDUSA SYMPATHETIC AT THE SAME TIME. BUT NOOOOOO, YOU JUST HAD TO MAKE HIM LESS SYMPATHETIC! YOU TURNED THE GREEK HERO WHO WOULD HAVE FIT IN OUR DAY AND AGE…..AND TURNED HIM INTO SOMETHING ELSE ENTIRELY! YOU'VE MADE SOME QUESTIONABLE CHARACTER DECISIONS BEFORE, AND THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST ONES YOU'VE DONE! AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON HIS STATS! THE FIRST DEMIGOD OF GREEK MYTHOLOGY, THE SON OF ZEUS HIMSELF, AND THE ANCESTOR TO HERACLES, AND HE HAS SUBPAR STATS ACCEPT FOR AGILITY, MANA AND LUCK?! YOU FUCKING DID HIM DIRTY, AND YOU KNOW IT!

(Pants and catches breath) Okay, rant over.

CV: Wow, you really let yourself go.

OC: Oh you've seen only a taste of what I can do. Oh yes, I will rarely do this, but on certain topics, I will go absolutely vicious and tear the writers a new one for some of the ridiculous shit they've done. Because there is a lot of stupid shit they've done, especially Nasu, but they never really call them out on it. This is just the first.

CV: Meanwhile I'm content with the LB7 cast being epic. He gets a pass from me for a while.

OC: I will give him that. He did make them great. Now we are also going to be doing something quite interesting for the notes section. A couple of weeks ago a certain fan on Reddit came to me and suggested we do a Bio. for certain characters to keep track of them. I am proud to announce we will be doing that here tonight, and who better to start than Perseus himself? We will only be showing his stats we made for Chronicles to show just how strong he SHOULD have been in Type Moon, but also to show WHY he was able to kick the enemies asses this chapter.

Strength: B+

Agility: A

Luck: A+

Mana: A

NP: ?

Yeah, this guy might sound OP as hell, but he does have a couple of weaknesses, but we won't say what they are yet. Also damn, he's a speedy little bastard.

CV: I say making OP characters is funny so I'm not opposed.

OC: True, and as for why Medusa isn't wanting to kill him, it's quite simple. He just saved their bacon, and we're sticking with the original idea in that she doesn't hate him in her Rider form, but is just annoyed by him and would rather avoid him. Her Avenger self, on the other hand, is a different story….. In any case that is it for this week's chapter of Chronicles. We hope you stay tuned next week for the next one! Owen Chaser and CosmicVlad, signing off.
