Slowly, I felt myself awake from my slumber to find myself in an unfamiliar place. My emerald eyes scanned the dark room, but I could barely make out any details due to the darkness shrouding the room.

"Am I dreaming...? Is this a nightmare?" I said quietly out loud, my vision somewhat blurry.

What happened? This must be a dream.A weird dream, in fact. Where am I-

"A-Ah!" I winced in pain and felt a sting in my arm. From the corner of my eye, I noticed that my arm was bleeding somewhat and that I was...tied up with a rope?!

Panic began to fully invade me now. As I became more awake by the second, I quickly became aware that I was indeed sitting up, my body being fully tied up into a chair – thus my arms being fully constricted. My heart began beating rapidly. Please be a freaking nightmare!! I BEG.

I began to pant nonstop in the darkness, undoubtedly having a full-on panic attack.

"H-Help!" I weakly cried out and I struggled to break free of the rope, but to no avail. "H-HELP!" I tried again, and tears began to stream down my face.

How the heck did this even happen?! Literally yesterday I was dealing with Nami's diary being randomly stolen by freakin' Rock and now this?!

Suddenly, I heard footsteps. I gulped as I felt an eerie presence engulf the air and my heart was wildly pounding, my levels of anxiety undeniably off of the charts now.

A dim light abruptly went off in the corner, it flashed a couple times and caused my body to jump; me almost screaming in sheer terror. The majority of the room was still consumed in darkness except for that corner now, and a dark silhouette began to walk into the light, which revealed to be...

Daryl.

Diabolical laughter erupted from his mouth. "Mwhahaha! Sorry little farmer girl, you'll be temporarily here as I go clone your cow now in peace. Now if you excuse me..."

Without warning, he swiftly tied a red cloth around my mouth so I couldn't speak.

"Mmff!" I tried to scream as I struggled while he put it around me. I tried to bite his hand; however, I wasn't fast enough. I tried to scream through the cloth anyway but my screams were of course muffled.

"Relax, I'll let you go in about three hours... Hee hee. Ha ha ha HA! Finally, I will be victorious!"

With that, the mad scientist left the room and seemed to have climbed up some stairs.

I continued on with vigorously struggling and more tears left my eyes, feeling absolutely hopeless and terrified for my cow. Then all I could think about was how I wished... How I wished she was here...

N-Nami...

- Meanwhile with Rock -

Rock was currently pounding on Nami's door.

"NAMI!!" Pound. Pound."NAMI!!" POUND. POUND."NAMI!!! THIS IS AN EMERGENCY!!!"

Annoyed, Nami rolled her eyes and crossed her arms as she was sitting down on a chair in front of her desk. "Go away."

"I'M SERIOUS!!! I NEED YOUR HELP RIGHT NOW!!!" Rock roared dramatically.

Nami groaned and got up, now begrudgingly opening up her door. She glared daggers into Rock.

"It's almost two in the morning... Keep your irritating voice down before you wake up Tei and Lou," Nami warned in a stern tone and continued on, "And I doubt it's really anything that important. Is this another stupid scheme of yours to try to sabotage me? How dare you try to ask for my help when you barged into my room yesterday and stole my-"

"BUT THIS IS ABOUT BABE!! SHE'S BEEN KIDNAPPED!" Rock loudly revealed in a frantic manner while waving his arms around and he stomped his foot. Nami suddenly seemed to be fully paying attention now, her eyes slowly widening in shock as she intently watched Rock continued on with speaking, "I was taking my usual nightly-stroll as you know, and then from the distance I saw that scientist dude carry babe into his creepy place!! She seemed unconscious!"

Mad at herself, Nami looked down towards the floor and thought,'Damn it. I should have listened to her more seriously when she brought up Daryl the other day... I'm an idiot.'

While Nami was lost in her thoughts, she didn't realize that Rock was still talking on and on. "I have no choice but to join forces with you, EVEN THOUGH I DESPISE YOU!"

"Yeah, whatever. This is urgent. Let's get going already," Nami hastily muttered as she began to walk past Rock with her hands in her pockets; her sapphire eyes fierce.

"W-Wait! I have to put on something!" Rock stuttered and he then rushed into his room as Nami hurried down the stairs.

- Ten Minutes Later -

The two were now standing outside of Daryl's lab and Rock had added to his outfit...a red cape and pink rubber gloves.

"You look like an idiot..." Nami dryly commented.

"Shush!! Trust the process!!'The Rock' has to look the part of a hero!" Rock insisted as he did a pose with his arms and his hazel eyes sparkled.

Nami ignored him and instead tried to pry open the door, but to no avail. She walked around the corners of the building to find other entrances, but no dice.

The tomboyish red-head let out one aggravated sigh. "There's no other ways to get in... We-"

A smooth voice suddenly slithered into both of their ears.

"I can get you in. For a price, of course."

Out of the shadows, Skye appeared and he walked up to the both of them while chuckling.

Rock gasped and pointed a finger at him. "It'sYOU! I'll never forget what you did with that sand!! How you threw it into my HANDSOME FACE!!" the blond hollered as he waved his fist.

Nami glared at the silver-haired thief, her fierce eyes completely locked onto him as she felt utterly on-guard now.

Skye chuckled and flipped his hair. "I'm an expert at breaking into places, with me being a thief and all... Hehe."

"Get to the point," Nami hissed.

Skye smirked and put his hands in his pockets. "For five-thousand gold... I can get you in."

Nami widened her eyes slightly, her heart starting to pound.

Rock jumped and put his arms up. "Well, don't look at me! I'm a man who doesn't WORK! I never have any dough on me!"

Skye shrugged and let out a chuckle. "How unfortunate. Looks like it's up to the red-haired maiden then... Are you going to save your farmer princess or not? I did see that man take her in there, and then assumed you'd show up quickly anyway to save her. Hehe. Looks like my hunch was correct after all."

Nami scowled and looked towards the ground.'Tch! Damn it all!' Nami thought in frustration and she felt stuck.

"The choice is yours... The time is ticking after all..." Skye reminded, his playful tone of voice literally taunting Nami.

Frustrated, Nami sadly thought to herself as she looked towards the ground,'Damn. That amount is almost all of my savings. I was hoping to stay in the valley longer, but looks like I have to leave sooner now... Sorry Kayla.'

Sighing in defeat, Nami grabbed a bag of gold from her pocket and hesitantly handed it to Skye.

"There. Now let us in," Nami ordered coldly.

"As you wish," Skye answered while smirking and putting the money away in his pocket. He then took out a key and smoothly opened the door with it. "You see, one day I saw that scientist foolishly put a spare key in one of his plants in his front yard, so of course I took it for myself just in case," the thief haughtily explained. "As much as I'd like to stick around to see that pretty farmer's face, I've got other matters to attend to as the handsome Prince of the Stars."

Skye smoothly walked away from the two and was soon out of sight. Nami rolled her eyes not really giving a crap about him and she rushed into the building, along with Rock following behind her.

"BABE!" Rock roared dramatically and he flipped his hair as he motioned to his long-flowing red cape.

"THE ROCK IS HERE TO SAVE YOU!"

- Back to farmer girl's point of view -

My green eyes full of tears widened in shock at seeing both Nami and Rock standing at the doorway.

N-Nami... She actually came. Why does it seem like such a miracle?

As Rock was too busy being his usual dunderhead self by still talking on and on about how he was going to save me and how cool his hero-outfit was, Nami immediately flew past him and began to untie me, her first taking the red cloth off of my mouth.

"Nami!" I cried in joy as I looked at her, my eyes immediately sparkling as tears continued to leak out of them. At the moment, Nami was preoccupied with untying me, so her eyes were fully focused on the rope. I gasped in happiness once my arms were fully free.

"I can move again!" I breathlessly exclaimed as I fully stood up.

A wave of emotion then hit me and without thinking, I cried into Nami's arms and nuzzled my head into her chest, sobbing hard, but I did my best to stay quiet. Hesitantly, Nami wrapped her arms around me and held me close to her.

"I-I... I was so scared," I shakily confessed, my body trembling. "I-I... I thought he was going to hurt me... A-And..."

Rock let out a loud gasp."YOU SHOULD BE CRYING INTO MY ARMS - NOT IN HER'S!!!"

Nami twitched in annoyance and harshly muttered to him as she still held me,

"Get over it."

The door next creaked open and we all heard Daryl's voice, him mumbling to himself. "Ah... I forgot to bring a part for the machine to clone her cow, and..." He soon noticed Nami and Rock, and the fact that I was now fully untied."WHAT ARE YOU ALL DOING HERE?!"

Rock pointed a finger at him. "PREPARE TO FACE THE ROCK'S WRATH! YOU-"

"ARGHHHHH!!!"

In a flash, the possessed teddy bear appeared out of nowhere once again, and was attacking at Daryl's face. Daryl pathetically fell over and was struggling to fight the bear off as he was rolling constantly on the floor.

"That demon bear again!! Now it's taking my spotlight!!" Rock complained in a growl and he clenched his fist.

Another voice was heard from the doorway and somehow the bear had vanished into thin air once again.

"Daryl the scientist, you are under arrest."

I flinched. "T-The cops?!"

Nami let go of me and she crossed her arms, smirking somewhat. "Yep. I actually used my brain unlike that blond idiot over there and called the Mineral Town police on the inn's phone before we left to come get you. They said they wouldn't get here for an hour though, so... I didn't want to wait around for them, in case something were to happen to you. I didn't want to risk it."

I blushed a bit at Nami's confession. "O-Oh..."Wow, she really does care about me...

The police officers put Daryl in handcuffs and dragged him out of his lab.

"NOOOOOOO!" he cried in despair as the cops dragged him away and in the direction that lead out of the valley.

Rock stuck out his tongue at Daryl once he was far in the distance. "Good riddance to that punk! 'The Rock' saves the day once again!"

Nami sighed at Rock's delusion and she then turned towards him while sternly ordering, "Rock, walk her home. I've got stuff to do..."

Before Rock could even respond, Nami briskly walked away in a flash with her hands in her pockets. It seemed like she had a lot on her mind... I frowned in concern, feeling like something was off with her. Nami...

As Rock walked me home, I felt compelled to ask him, "Hey wait... How were you guys able to get inside anyway?"

"Oh! That weird punk of a phantom thief showed up and he offered to open the door! But he only was offering to do it unless we coughed up five-thousand gold! I don't have anything on me, of course! So... Nami is the one who gave him the dough!"

I gasped and stopped in my tracks. "H-Huh? F-Five... Five thousand gold? T-That's... That's so much money!"

Worry soon began to invade my thoughts.

W-Wait... I know that Nami struggles with money as it is and that she doesn't work. What if... What if she has to leave the valley now?

I felt my eyes water and I shook my head, feeling determined.

N-No! I'm not going to let that happen. I'll... I'll give her the money back. But, I'll just act like Takakura gave it to me as thanks for saving me, so that way she'll stay... and she won't feel any guilt that it's my money that she's taking. I hate lying, but eventually I will confess to it later down the line. I hope she won't be mad at me... I... Maybe it's selfish of me, but...

I just don't want to lose Nami...

Oh, so much for buying my pink sheep! But this is way more important!

I put my hand on my heart and began to feel all warm and fuzzy, feeling touched by Nami's actions.

But wow... Nami really decided to give Skye all that money just to make sure I was okay... She could have waited for the police to arrive, but she didn't want to wait... Her actions definitely does speak louder than words. I think she does care about me more than she lets on, but...

- The Next Day -

Around noon, I entered into the inn and knocked on Nami's door.

After about one minute, Nami slowly opened the door and she raised an eyebrow at seeing me.

"Hey. Are you...doing okay?" she asked, her seeming to choose her words carefully.

"Y-Yeah. I'm a little traumatized now, but uh... No big deal! I'll be okay!" I answered with a weak smile and laugh. I pulled out a bag of gold from my pocket, gesturing for Nami to take it. "U-Um... Takakura was grateful that you saved me... so, he wanted you to have this."

Taken aback, Nami was quiet for a moment as she stared down at the bag and then a soft smile formed on her lips. "Thanks... Are you sure it's okay for me to take it?"

"O-Of course! Please do!" I insisted while blushing.

Nami chuckled a little while taking the bag of gold out of my grasp. "Well, tell him thanks..."

From the corner of my eye, I noticed that Nami's desk was somewhat cleared off and her suitcase was wide-open on the floor...Was she packing all last night?

I felt my heart sink.

Was Nami really planning on leaving...?
