Werewolf Candy

Prompt - blood
It wasn't easy living and working with a werewolf. It seemed like every time he turned around Greyback had murdered another one of the muggleborns he was supposed to have brought in to the ministry. This was his livelihood that he made a living off of, and he couldn't have Greyback killing and eating everyone he snatched.
He tried disciplining the hungry beast, and nearly lost one of his men when Greyback turned on him in retaliation. He tried finding substitutions for human flesh, such as pork since he'd heard that it supposedly tastes similar to human meat. Having never consumed the meat of his fellow humans before, Scabior had no way of knowing if this was true. But he thought it was worth a try.
Greyback rejected the pork, stating that humans taste more like a cross between liver and chicken. Scabior then tried giving him lamb, thinking that since he'd heard so many stories about wolves killing sheep, some fresh lamb might be just the thing to satisfy his cravings for a while.
This worked better than the pork, but Greyback still wasn't satisfied. He then tried giving him venison, thinking this was closer to a wolf's natural prey in the wild. This worked better than either the pork or lamb, but Greyback still hungered for blood and humam flesh.
Scabior was running out of options. It seemed like everything he tried either didn't work or it only worked to satisfy his cravings for a little while. And worst of all was that Halloween was coming up in a few short weeks. Scabior knew that this meant loads of innocent children out parading around the streets at night, and with the moon so close to being full by the time Halloween rolled around, there was little he could do to stop the vicious werewolf from slaughtering every child that crossed his path.
.oOo.
As soon as the sun set on Halloween night, Greyback left the campsite, heading out to one of the heavily populated muggle neighborhoods. He didn't care who saw him, for tonight was a night of superstition and fear, a night for creatures like himself to run wild in the streets, which was exactly how it was when Scabior finally found him.
There were screams coming from all directions as children ran from the howling beast running wild through the neighborhood. Scabior tried chasing after him, determined to stop the mad werewolf and bring him back to camp before any more children lost their lives. If only he could catch up to him and snatch him like he did the muggleborns that he captured, chaining him up and hauling him off before anyone got a good look at him. But Greyback was too fast, and Scabior didn't know if he could catch up to him.
Suddenly the werewolf darted to the left, distracted by something as he caught sight of something moving in the shadows. He ran down the street and disappeared around the corner, with Scabior still following close behind. And then it was quiet. The snarling and growling stopped, there were no more howls or vicious, animalistic cries tearing through the silent night.
Scabior wondered what had happened, and when he rounded the corner her was surprised to see Bellatrix with what appeared to be an orange trick-or-treat bag. Greyback was sitting on the ground beside her, sucking on a blood flavored lollipop. He had a content smile on his face, and for once in his life he looked calm and relaxed.
Bellatrix looked up at Scabior, watching as his mouth hit the floor in shock. "What's wrong, Scabior? Are you surprised to see your little pet behaving himself for a change?"
Scabior looked at a loss for words. He stared at the both of them for several minutes before finally finding his voice. "'Ow did you do tha?"
"It's simple really," Bella replied, stroking Greyback's hair as though she were petting a dog. "All he wanted was what everyone wants on Halloween, and that's sweets, Scabior. He might have unusual tastes, but he still enjoys getting treats for Halloween like everyone else."
