A Snake's Passion
Part three of a three part human!Nagini mini series inspired by the upcoming Fantastic Beasts movie.
It had been a very long night and things had not gone well. Nagini had embarrassed him in front of his followers, barfed all over his enemies, then ran off and got herself lost in the castle. It took forever to find her and haul her scaly behind into the boathouse, where he had hoped to gain mastery of the elder wand by murdering Severus Snape.
He also desired to watch the killing, because being a Dark Lord meant that he took pleasure in such things. But when there was a sudden commotion outside the boathouse, Voldemort realized that the Potter boy was on the move, and that such things couldn't be ignored if he wanted to win the war.
He left Nagini with Severus, and after giving her the order to kill, he assumed his precious pet would do as she was told. In all the years he'd known her, Nagini had never once failed to follow orders. She lived to serve him. Or so he thought.
The massive serpent slithered across the floor, forcing Severus into a dusty corner. She could feel the vibrations in the air, watching him tremble as she flicked her tongue at him, tasting his fear. Though for a while she seemed to hesitate, tilting her head and gazing lovingly at the Potions Master.
She considered him for a moment, taking note of his lank hair that spilled past his shoulders, his obsidian eyes that glittered like black diamonds in the moonlight. She longed to touch him, tangling her fingers in his hair while their lips met in a dance of undying love. And so she lunged at him, smooth flesh replacing greenish scales as she reverted back to her human form.
Severus was thrown against the wall, their bodies pressed together as she leaned in to kiss the unsuspecting Potions Master. It wasn't until they came apart that Severus gasped, eyes wide and staring at Nagini's smiling face.
She giggled, amused by his reaction. "I've always loved you, Severus," she said sweetly, twirling a lock of his hair around her fingertip. "I've been watching you for several years, hoping we'd have the opportunity to be alone like this one day. And you know what?"
The dark man shook his head, clearly speechless.
"I think we ought to run away together," Nagini continued, taking a step back and seizing him by the wrist. She squealed with delight, laughing and running with him out the door. "Yes, Severus! Let's run away and get married and have many snake babies in a house by the sea!"
The Potions Master, so stunned by her declaration of love, ran with her down the hill. It didn't seem like a good time to argue with her, and if it meant that he'd survive the war then so be it. He would be her husband.
