Lily couldn't look at what Grandmother Belinda had given her until she had returned to Ilvermorny. Renee had shown her the jewelry she had gotten along with some books on healing from the Murphy library. She had said that she had mentioned to Belinda that she was interested in becoming a healer. Lily's bequeathment came in a box and was not mentioned in the will. The will only mentioned that she was given what is in the box along with money coming from the family vaults once a year into her vault. What had shocked the Potter's the most, was that Grandmother Belinda had paid for Lily's remaining years at Ilvermorny. James and Albus too was getting money into their vaults once a year.

They arrived at Ilvermorny during fifth period. Mrs. Allen met them at the doors. She said, "Welcome back. You can have the rest of the day off to get adjusted to being back in the states. Your homework assignments will be in your school mailbox."

Lily, Renee, and Emily split off from the boys and went to their rooms. In her room, Lily pulled out the box from her bag and enlarged it with a tap of her wand. Lily sat down on her bed and opened the box. Inside the box laid several more boxes of varying sizes. On top was an envelope that had her name on it. Lily picked up the envelope, was unsure about opening it. What could Mrs. Murphy say to her? Lily took a deep breath and opened the envelope and pulled out the letter. It was written in a nice, feminine writing:

My Dearest Lily,

If you are reading this it means that I have gone to be with my beloved husband and daughter. I have known for a while that my time was getting close to pass on and wanted to pass on what I know to the next generation.

What most people outside of the Murphy family do not know is that my husband, Henry was a seer. He foretold many things, which I'm thankful that some things didn't come true including the vision that saw us put Petunia and Lily up for adoption all those years ago. One of his visions saw one of our granddaughters named Lily after her grandmother would become a seer also. In the coming year, you will start coming into your new ability. I have included books on the subject to help you along. If need to, contact Mrs. Allen and she will get you a tutor.

Among the books are some books on wand lore. Henry also saw this in his vision and began purchasing these books for you. Your sight abilities will be able to help you with your career in wand craft. Its an affinity in our family that goes back several generations, that has skipped a few generations. This comes from my side of the family as I am distantly related to the Ollivander family. Mr. Ollivander knows of our relationship and has agreed when the time comes if you agree, to help you in your apprenticeship or just teach you the knowledge to go out on your own.

Finally, I have included some jewelry, a couple of necklaces and earrings that will go great with your beautiful green eyes. Seeing you and watching you interact with our family, makes me proud and makes me think that you were what your grandmother Lily would have been like at your age: Smart, funny, and loyal to family and friends.

Please don't be down about my passing. I'm no longer suffering and I'm with my husband and daughter once again.

Sincerely,

Grandmother Belinda

Lily burst out crying. To have such a personal note from her great grandmother was nice, and enlightening. The fact that she might be a seer like her great-grandfather was unnerving to say the least and the fact that her ability with wands wasn't unnatural was a relief. Lily started pulling the individual boxes out and opening them up. The books went onto her bookshelf. She would check them out later.

As she was opening the box to the necklaces, she heard the dorm room open. Lily looked at the clock and saw that sometime had passed. She knew that Andrea had the last two class periods off as was the norm for the sixth and seventh years. Eighth period was just beginning. Lily finished unpacking the jewelry and sighed. She needed to go to her school mailbox that was in the common room to get the rest of her assignments so she could get a start on them.

As she was leaving her room, Andrea was coming out of her room to head to the bathroom. Andrea said, "Lily! You had us worried when you didn't come back when you were called to Mrs. Allen's office. Thankfully, Julia told us that your great-grandmother died in England and that you had to go to attend her funeral."

Lily said, "I'm sorry, Andrea. We didn't have time to tell anyone once we were told."

Andrea said, "I understand. Audrey was worried the most. She was afraid you had left it just like her sister had. I assured her you hadn't, and that you had a family emergency back home to attend to."

Lily sighed. She hoped that Audrey was getting too attached to her as a substitute to her sister. Lily said, "I'll talk to her. Be right back. Need to go to the mailbox to get some mail."

Andrea nodded. She said, "Brandon is taking me on a date night tonight. I don't know where though. Guess we'll find out."

Brandon was Brandon Lewis. Older brother of first-year Shannon Lewis. He was a sixth year Pukwudgie. Andrea and Brandon had been going together since the spring dance the previous year. Lily smiled.

Lily went downstairs and got her mail. There was quite a bit of mail. Many from her classmates and friends saying how they were sorry for her loss. Her teachers had included a note with her assignments.

As Lily was heading back up to her room, she noticed Julia coming in. Lily looked at her watch and realized that it was the end of eighth period. Julia smiled when she saw Lily.

Julia ran to her and said, "Your back! I'm so sorry for the loss of your grandmother, Lily."

Lily said, "Thank you, Julia. It was her time to go. We knew it was getting close."

Julia said, "I understand that, but you know I'm here if you ever need to talk."

Lily smiled her thanks and invited her friend to her room so that they could continue their conversation. In her room, Lily and Julia talked about anything and everything. Julia caught Lily up on what she had missed while gone, and Lily told her about the letter from her grandmother and showed her the jewelry that she had gotten.

Julia was astonished at the jewelry. She said, "Those are beautiful. She was right that it goes well with your eyes."

Lily nodded. As they continued to talk, Audrey returned from her last class of the day.
