In her room, Lily found Audrey staring out the window of the commons area looking out at the sky. Lily walked over to her and asked if she had fun. Audrey looked at Lily with tear-stained eyes. Lily was worried, but then remembered what Yolanda had told her.

Lily asked what was wrong. Audrey said, "I didn't know there were ghosts here. They showed up during our dance."

Lily said, "They showed up at ours also. I didn't know until tonight that we had ghosts also. Apparently, they hide in the shadows and only come out when they are needed as witnesses or to report to the staff."

Audrey nodded. She said, "What shocked me was someone I recognized."

Lily's breath caught in her throat. Did Yolanda speak to Audrey?"

Audrey said, "I have a picture of my great-grandmother, and I saw a younger version of her amongst the ghosts."

Lily said, "You didn't think that she would return as a ghost?"

Audrey shook her head. She continued, "My great-grandmother died in her sleep when she was a hundred and ten. As far as I know she didn't have any unfinished business as they say."

Lily said, "We may never know why spirits decide to remain as ghost and not cross over."

Lily was certain that who Audrey saw was not her great-grandmother, but Yolanda. So, Yolanda had decided not to talk to Audrey tonight. Lily put her arms around the girl for a hug and received on in return. Lily said, "I'm going to bed. You should be going too. We do still have classes tomorrow and I must finalize a personal project that I am working on for the second."

The next day after classes, Lily finished what little homework she had gotten that day, excused herself from her friends, and went to the room set aside for the festivities for Day of the Dead. Her altar was almost finished. She just needed to finalize the placement of the candles which Qiana had ordered for her. The bag was by her table.

Lily pulled out her notes that she had taken when Qiana was telling her about the placement of the candles. She pulled each one out of the bag and put them on the table and altar according to her notes.

"So, this is where you been disappearing to, Lils."

Lily smiled at the nickname that her brother had given her. She had hoped to keep this secret until the second which was tomorrow and then surprise him and Audrey with the Altar, as she had included some pictures of Yolanda in the altar that she had gotten from Audrey's parents.

James came over and looked over the table. He said, "Jasmine told me of this. Apparently, several of her friends participate in this. Where'd you get all these photos?"

Lily said, "Mother. I wrote her and told her what I wanted to do, and she sent these. I then emailed Audrey's mother and asked for photos of Yolanda. She sent me a few. Qiana, a friend of mine told me about this when I mentioned what I wanted to do."

James replied, "It's a good idea."

The next evening, the students and staff that observed Day of the Dead or were just curious about it, came to the room. Lily brought Audrey along so that she could see what Lily had done.

In the room, the teachers were going around to each station while the students mingled. Lily led Audrey over to the table she had made up. Audrey smiled at all the wizarding pictures. Then she caught one that was of her sister, Yolanda on the day that she caught the train to Ilvermorny. Yolanda was smiling and waving at the camera as she stood there in front of their house in San Antonio with her Ilvermorny uniform on, and her school bag over her shoulder.

Audrey turned to Lily and asked, "Where'd you get pictures of Yolanda?"

Lily said, "I emailed your mother and explained what I wanted to do, which was this. I wanted to include Yolanda in it. Your mother sent this picture among a few others, and I chose this one out of the lot. I have the others in my room. I had planned on giving them to you when we went home for Thanksgiving break."

Audrey nodded.

The evening wore on. James, Lily, and Audrey sat and talked about various things. James and Lily talked about their childhood in England and Audrey talked about what it was like with her and her sister, Yolanda in San Antonio.

At eight o'clock, Qiana came up and said, "Its time to light the candles. We usually light them for about half-hour, so that those who need to be back to their dorms before the nine o'clock curfew can make it back in time."

Lily nodded. They stood up from their spot in front of the altar and each of them lit the candles around the altar. After the candles were lit, James put his arm around Lily, and pulled her close.

A few minutes later, Lily heard Audrey gasp and she turned. There was Yolanda. Lily smiled at Yolanda.

Audrey said, "You were there at the dance."

Yolanda said, "I was. I didn't want to interrupt your fun evening, Audrey. You look like you were having so much fun."

Audrey said, "I thought you were Grandma Ruth."

Yolanda said, "I heard about that. Mom always said that I looked like her."

Audrey said, "I have so many questions."

Yolanda said, "I know you do, Auds. I will come to you next weekend, and I will do my best to answer all your questions. I may not be able to answer all of them, but I will answer the ones that I can."

Audrey nodded.
